More than 1,000 people from all walks of life gathered in Queen's Park in Toronto, Canada on the morning of May 20, 2007, to hold a rally supporting 22 million Chinese people quitting the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations. A number of people announced their withdrawals from the CCP on the spot.

At the rally, the sponsor set free white doves, symbolizing people setting themselves free from the bondage of the CCP evil specter, and their lives being saved

Spokesperson for the World Organization to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong (WOIPFG) Wang Zhiyuan pointed out in his speech that the WOIPFG has completed 216 investigation reports, which show that since July 20, 1999, the CCP headed by Jiang, has established a super large criminal group based on state terrorism, to carry out a systematic and genocidal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners.

Wang Zhiyuan said, "This criminal group has committed crimes of harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners for profit across China. Its persecution of Falun Gong has been the most evil in human history."

Canadian MP Rob Anders pointed out in his speech that many Chinese people in Canada have been subjected to the Beijing government's surveillance and intimidation. Ms. Zhang Jiyan who recently defected from the Chinese Embassy in Ottawa and publicly announced her withdrawal from the CCP has had her telephone bill, mail, and even bank account information checked by the CCP. In 2001, an overseas student, Mr. Wang, who tried to take pictures of a photo exhibit that slandered Falun Gong at the Chinese Embassy, was beaten by the embassy staff.

"How many Chinese people have received threatening phone calls at night? How many Chinese people are worried about the safety of their loved ones in China?" Anders said, "The CCP is a party against human rights and against freedom. Whoever wants to obtain freedom, must sever its relationship with the CCP."

Li Qingfu from the International Movement of Stopping China from Repatriating North Korea Refugees (Toronto Branch) said that tens of thousands of North Korea refugees in China have been living in fear of being discovered, arrested and forcibly repatriated. Once they are repatriated, they may be tortured, detained and even killed. The CCP government knows this but still continues inhumanely repatriating these refugees.

Why is the CCP so inhumane? "The Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party" has given an answer. Li Qingfu pointed out that the CCP's systematic and comprehensive persecution of hundreds of millions of Falun Gong practitioners and their families speaks for itself. "The CCP will not be reconciled to its extinction. We are here today to hasten the demise of the CCP tyranny." Spokesperson for the Vietnam Reform Party, Tran Minh Thanh, said in his speech that the Vietnamese Communist Party is the same as the CCP. To seize and hold power, they have no regard for humanity and morality. "We are pleased that the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party has been translated into Vietnamese, and can now be spread in Vietnam."

"The Quitting-the-CCP movement is very important for all Communist Party members; they can save themselves from being turned into beasts." Mr. Than said, "The Vietnamese people would like to work together with Chinese people to spurn the CCP's dictatorship."

Human rights activist and journalist Muhammad Ali Bukhari pointed out that the Canadian broadcasting and television programs have reported on the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong and harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners for profit. Mr. Bukhari said, "On behalf of the Bengal community in Toronto, I express my deep concern over the Falun Gong victims." "We firmly believe that your rights cannot be denied. We are in favor of the Epoch Times' series of articles the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, which has inspired 22 million Chinese people to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations."

People Quit the CCP and Its Affiliated Organizations with Their Real Names

Li Xiaobai from Harbin came to the stage and said, "My aunt was persecuted for practicing Falun Gong in China, when I was 17 years old. The police searched my aunt's home and found a photo of the whole family. I was among them. Therefore, I was summoned twice by the police. What I'm holding now is one of the copied subpoenas."

Li Xiaobai continued that, "The CCP adopts the implication policy in its persecution of Falun Gong. Today, I want to stand up to publicly quit the Youth League and Young Pioneers with my real name."

Sun Taili said, "I quit the Youth League and Young Pioneers with my real name, because I'm not afraid of that little evil party. More than 22 million people have broken away from the evil party. The CCP is like a broken lantern that has depleted fuel, swaying in the wind and rain. It will be extinguished at any moment." Hou Shen and Shi Qing from China also quit the Youth League and Young Pioneers with their real names. They said, "We really want to quit the CCP; how wonderful it is to quit the CCP with our real names."

German Falun Gong Practitioners Appeal to the EU to Stop China from Extending Persecution to Russia

On May 14, 2007, on the eve of the European Union (EU)-China Human Rights Dialog in Berlin, the international media carried the shocking news that the Russian government, bowing to pressure from the Chinese Communist regime, forcibly kidnapped and deported Falun Gong practitioner Gao Chunman back to China. Mr. Gao, 73, is a former professor at Tsinghua University in China, who was granted refugee status by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees Office in Russia in 2003. His wife is a Russian citizen. Many German Falun Gong practitioners wrote to the EU officials who were to participate in the EU-China Dialog, urging them to stop the Russian authorities from cooperating with the Chinese regime in abusing human rights.

This is another vicious incident after St. Petersburg Falun Gong practitioner Ma Hui and her eight-year-old daughter were kidnapped and illegally deported to China on March 28th, 2007. These incidents have caused grave concern throughout the international society. On learning of the illegal and forcible deportation of Professor Gao to China, Falun Gong practitioners in Germany immediately contacted the German Ministry of Foreign Affair, asking that they bring this incident to the German government's attention. They called on the German government to condemn the Chinese regime at the Human Rights Dialog to be held the following day, for China's attempt to extend its persecution against Falun Gong overseas by means of tempting other Western democratic countries with its economic clout.

It was reported that the EU-Russia Summit would be held in Russia on May 17 to 18, 2007, and the topics would include freedom, the legal system and human rights. With German EU presidency in 2007, Chancellor Angela Merkel would be at the summit and preside over the meeting. The German Falun Dafa Association and the German Falun Gong Human Rights Working Group thus appealed to the Chancellor regarding the illegal deportation of Gao Chunman and urged the Russian Federation to stop such severe violation of human rights.

In the petition, the Falun Dafa Association stated: "As the persecution against Falun Gong practitioners is still ongoing in China, it is very dangerous to deport Falun Gong practitioners back to China. The cooperation in dealing with Falun Gong issues between the Russian government and the Chinese Communist regime is against the U.N. Refugees Convention." It also added: "On May 10, 2007, the German Parliament passed a historic resolution to condemn China's forced labor system and call on the Chinese Communist regime to put an end to this inhuman system. We support this resolution and appreciate the German government's courage and the efforts it has made to uphold justice. We request that Chancellor Merkel urge the Russian government to stop deporting Falun Gong practitioners and help Ma Hui, her daughter and Professor Gao return to Russia, while meeting with Russian President Putin."

In the meantime, many Falun Gong practitioners took the initiative to write to EU officials attending the EU-China Dialog. Episodes of persecuting Falun Gong practitioners have happened time and again whilst human right issues were discussed during the EU-China Dialog and the EU-Russia Summit. This is cause for the international community's grave concern.

The Chinese Communist regime has done its utmost to take advantage of the Western community. On the surface, it has discussed human rights issues with Western democratic countries, but in reality, it deceives them and tries to make them become accomplices in the persecution of Falun Gong so as to continue the atrocities. Therefore, Falun Gong practitioners called on Western governments to openly condemn the Chinese Communist regime, so as to uphold justice and put an end to the persecution.

San Francisco, California: Practitioners Protest Russian Government's Unlawful Repatriation of UN Refugee to China

On May 18, 2007, Falun Gong practitioners in the San Francisco Bay Area went to the Russian Consulate in San Francisco and protested the Russian government's repatriation of Falun Gong practitioner Professor Gao Chunman to China, where the persecution of Falun Gong is ongoing.

Falun Gong practitioners in San Francisco gather in front of the Russian Consulate and urge the Russian government not to cooperate with the CCP to persecute Falun Gong

Falun Gong practitioner Nataly from Russia said that practitioners are protesting Russia's violation of international law to repatriate Falun Gong practitioners. Nataly said, "A Russian official came out of the embassy and accepted the literature and investigation report into organ removal from Falun Gong practitioners in China. When he heard of the CCP's (Chinese Communist Party) atrocity of organ removal from living Falun Gong practitioners, he became serious. He said he would transfer the practitioners' request to the Russian government."

Ms. Chen, who just came from China for four months, said she felt very sad after hearing the news of Gao Chunman's repatriation. Ms. Chen said, "Now the CCP still brutally persecutes Falun Gong practitioners. Russia's repatriation [of Falun Gong practitioners] is unethical. The practitioner repatriated to China will be persecuted by the CCP because the CCP has never stopped the persecution."

Ms. Chen said that in 2002 she went to appeal for justice for Falun Gong on Tiananmen Square and was arrested by CCP police. She was detained for more than twenty days. She was forced to stay away from home due to police harassment and threat of arrest. Under such a situation, Falun Gong practitioners in China do not stop reading Falun Gong teachings, practicing the exercises, clarifying the facts and saving sentient beings. Before coming to the USA this time, Ms. Chen was almost arrested again. She called on the Russian government to be clear and not to assist the CCP to persecute innocent people.

Mr. Zhang, a computer engineer, said, "I am here to protest the Russian government's repatriation of Professor Gao to China. He is a UN refugee. Any country signing the UN covenant should not repatriate UN refugees. Not long ago, another practitioner, Ma Hui and her daughter, were repatriated to China. Such things should never happen again."

Mr. Zhang continued, "The persecution of Falun Gong practitioners is known to each country's government. It is intolerable for the Russian government to do such a despicable thing as repatriating a UN refugee."

Ms. Ren, who was arrested in China for many times for persisting in practicing Falun Gong, was shocked at the Russian government's repatriation incident. She said, "Within less than two months, two incidents of repatriation of Falun Gong practitioners have occurred in Russia. This repatriation should not happen. All righteous people should condemn such incidents."

Ms. Ren said, "It has been documented that more than three thousand Falun Gong practitioners have been tortured to death in China. All people of conscience should protest the persecution. The CCP's persecution of Falun Gong has caught people's attention across the world. The Russian government ignores the righteous voice around the world and assists the CCP in the persecution, out of economic interest. It is inhuman and should be condemned."
