In September and October, Eight Falun Gong practitioners in Qian'an City, Hebei Province, were arrested by police and their home ransacked.

On September 28, 2007, the 610 Office and the police in all districts of Shuangyashan City, Heilongjiang Province acted in unison arrested more than ten Falun Gong practitioners. The police even dispatched cranes to break into the homes of practitioners through their windows.

At noon on October 11, 2007, Ms. Liu Xiaoyuan, employed by Qian'an City Industry and Commerce Bank in Hebei Province, was taken away by the police and her home ransacked. Ms. Liu's whereabouts is currently unknown.

On October 12, Mr. Yuan Chunlin, who worked for Industry and Commerce Bank, was taken away by the police and had his home ransacked. The police seized his computer, printer, and TV antenna. That same day, Mr. Li Yankui of Agricultural Bank was also taken away by the police. The fates of Yuan Chunlin and Li Yankui are not known.

On the night of October 10, Ms. Cui Qingru, 45 years old, retired employee of Qian'an City Agricultural Bank, had her home ransacked by the police. With no explanation, the police took her away and detained her in North Maowa Village, Qian'an Town.

After 11 a.m. on October 9, the police took Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Wan Yonghong from Industry and Commerce Bank into custody, ransacked her home, and confiscated a notebook computer, satellite receiver, and personal belongings. Ms. Wan was tortured at a detention center and then taken to the ICU at Qian'an City People's Hospital. Details about her physical condition are unclear.

After 11 p.m. on October 1, Pu Yonglai, head of National Protection Unit of the Qian'an City Public Security Bureau, and several policemen broke in and seized practitioner Ms. Li Hongmei and her younger brother, Li Qingsong, in their hometown of Xiaozhuangzi Village, Jianchangying Town. The police confiscated Li Qingsong's suitcase, which contained 5000 yuan in cash, Falun Gong books, keys, and other personal belongings. Li Hongmei is being held at a brainwashing center in Qian'an City Seed Company; Li Qingsong's whereabouts is unknown.

On the night of September 28, practitioner Ms. Wen Qingfang of the Construction Bureau was taken by police to Qian'an City Seed Company Brainwashing Center, Beihuan Road, Qian'an City.

In addition, some Falun Gong practitioners from counties around Qianxi and Luanxian were also taken to Qian'an Detention Center.

At about 4:30 a.m. on September 28, the police arrested more than ten practitioners in urban areas, including Ms. Li Fenglan, Ms. Yan Xihua, and Ms. Sun from Jianshan District; Ms. Wu Yuexia and Mr. Zhang Guoyi from Baoshan District, Ms. Shao Guilan, Ms. Jia Guilan, Mr. Han Changgui, and Mr. Song Decai from Baoqing County; Ms. Qi Guoying, Ms. Zhang Chunyan, and Mr. Du Baiyang from Jixian County.

Four or five officers from Lixin Police Station in Jianshan District, including Shi Cun (male) and Ma Chao (male), went to the home of Ms. Yan Xihua to harass her with a video recorder. They made videotapes of practitioners against the practitioners' will. They seized two Falun Gong books and five of Master Li's Falun Gong lectures, and took Ms. Yan Xihua to the police station. She wasn't released until 7 p.m. During the whole process, the officers did not show any ID or arrest warrants.

Many policemen from Wohongqiao Police Station in Jianshan District rushed into the home of practitioner Ms. Li Fenglan. They seized five Falun Gong books and took her to the police station. They also rushed into the home of 60-year-old Ms. Sun and seized a Falun Gong book and a Falun Gong lecture. Ms. Li and Ms. Sun were not released until the next day.

Jixian County Police dispatched a crane and broke into the home of practitioners through the window at 5 a.m. Ms. Zhang Chunyan and another practitioner were arrested as a result.

The policemen from Baoqing County, Li Yong(male), the deputy chief of Qixingpao Town Police Station, and two other officers arrested practitioner Mr. Song Decai from Taihe Village at 8 a.m., then arrested Ms. Jia Guilan from Yongan Village at 12:00 a.m.

Ms. Wu Yuexia was illegally sentenced to labor camp.

The Practitioners still detained in the Shuangyashan City Detention Center include Mr. Tian Guomin, Ms. Gu Yufen, Ms. Lin Zhehua and Ms. Song Jixiu from Youyi County, Ms. Qi Guoying, Ms. Zhang Chunyan and Mr. Du Baiyang from Jixian County, and Mr. Zhang Guoyi from Baoshan District.
