On January 7, 2007, Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Wu Hong's body was illegally cremated in Penglai City, Shandong Province (see http://www.minghui.org/mh/articles/2007/1/10/146503.html)

The Policemen went to Ms. Wu Hong's home on January 6, 2007, and very demanded that her family sign the cremation form, stating "You have to sign it whether you agree or not!" Under huge pressure, Ms. Wu Hong's mother signed the form in tears. Ms. Wu Hong's body was cremated in Penglai City Funeral home on January 7, 2007, and the cause of death is still not certain. The police claim that Ms. Wu Hong was severely injured when she "jumped from a moving vehicle" on the way from a brainwashing class to a detention center. During the time she was being treated in the hospital, many Falun Gong practitioners visited her, and discovered that her skull had been fractured, but her surface skin had no scratches or cuts, disproving the claim that she jumped from a moving vehicle. Normally when a person jumps from a moving vehicle, the skin would be badly scratched or cut. Ms. Wu Hong had no breaks in the skin at all, but all her injuries were internal. These were very possibly caused by brutal beatings that were done in such a way so as not to cause visible injuries. Additionally, there were five policemen escorting Ms. Wu in the vehicle. How could they have failed to prevent one weakened woman from jumping from the vehicle? Their stories lack common sense, and they are obviously trying to cover up their crimes.

Ms. Wu Hong, 41, was arrested from her home on May 30, 2006, by Policemen Nie Jun, and others from the Penglai City Department. They took her to a brainwashing class held by the 610 Office. On June 6, 2006, Ms. Wu Hong was tortured by Chen Rongfu (610 Office Head), and others, and suffered a crushed skull, and was dying and in a deep coma. She was sent to Penglai City Hospital, but could not be revived, and she died on June 9, 2006

Ms. Wu's husband, Falun Gong practitioner Wang Xiaofang was trying to find justice for his wife's tragic death, but died mysteriously at the end of June 2006, in Beijing (see /emh/articles/2006/7/20/75694.html). Within one month, this young couple both died tragically as a result of the persecution.

Falun Gong practitioner Wang Bo and her family from Shijiazhuang City were illegally tried by the Communist regime on November 10, 2006. They are still being held at a detention center and are denied family visits. According to Wang Bo's relative, the family members had sent things to Ms. Bo's family but they could not meet them. They do not know anything about the family's current circumstances.

According to Wang Bo's relative, the illegal arrest of Wang Bo and her family is the result of Wang Bo and her father Wang Xinzhong having recently published accounts of their persecution for practicing Falun Gong on overseas websites, including the Minghui/Clearwisdom website. The relative said, "Wang Bo had previously said something against her will on CCTV [Central China Television], but those were not her real thoughts. She recently expressed her true feelings through an article published on an overseas website."

The relative also said, "We can all tell that Wang Bo and her family benefited from practicing Falun Gong. They were previously in ill health and didn't get along. The situation completely changed after they started to practice Falun Gong. They became healthy and they were happy together. Wang Bo noticed keenly the changes in her parents, and that is why she practiced Falun Gong. Her family still refuses to give up Falun Gong, even now."

Wang Bo and her family had benefited from Falun Gong, and the Communist regime imprisoned them. Wang Bo's relative said, "The trial of Wang Bo and her family was not based on any law. The Communist regime abused its power and persecuted Falun Gong through the policy of 'ruin their reputation, bankrupt them financially, and annihilate them physically' and incarcerated a once happy family."

This relative hopes justice-loving people inside and outside China can extend a helping hand to rescue Wang Bo and her family.

On December 1, 2004, the authorities of Zhangling District Police Department of Liaoyang City arrested practitioner Weng Hongjun, imprisoned him at Liaoyang Prison ("Correctional Center"), and illegally sentenced" him to two years of forced labor camp. Because he continued to practice the Falun Gong exercises when he was imprisoned, the prison authorities tortured him many times. They locked him up in a small cell and made him "Carry a Sword in the Back." The head of the Special Control Team shocked his head, his neck, and his back with an electric baton for a dozen minutes. On another occasion, guard Zhang Jiahui handcuffed him behind his back against a tall heating pipe and forced him to stand on tiptoe in a handcuffed position. The handcuff marks stayed on his wrists for a long time.

On February 21, 2005, Mr. Weng was transferred to Jinzhou "Correctional Center." In May 2005, the authorities at the correctional center attempted to force him to be "transformed." To achieve that goal, guards Li Songtao and Zhang Chunfeng, together with four other of their hatchet men, forced Mr. Weng's arms together behind his back, handcuffed him, and placed a plastic hat on his head. On the hat they had written, "So you can barely survive, but cannot die as you wish." Led by the guards, they dragged him into a closed room, where the guards attempted to brainwash him by forcing him to watch a VCD that slandered Falun Gong. When Mr. Weng refused to watch, the guards left the room on purpose so that their hatchet men could beat him. He still refused to watch the slanderous film.

A few moments later, the guards came back in. They tried to force him to give in without any success until lunchtime when they began to torture him again. In addition, the four hatchet men forced him to sit in the lotus position and tied his legs up tightly with a piece of white sheet. Then they used some pieces of cloth to tie his arms and added the plastic hat. Once his limbs were immobilized, they started to beat his legs and chest. Exhausted, they rested for ten minutes and then started another round of beatings. Unable to endure the torture, Mr. Weng gave in and was sent to another group where he was forced to make crafts and to write words unworthy of Falun Gong or its founder. His heart was forced to suffer.

In despair, Mr. Weng attempted to escape by climbing over the wall of the forced labor camp when he was escorted to a new building on September 27, 2005. After he ran for about 1200 feet, guard Xu Hui caught him and knocked him down. Mr. Weng's eyeglasses flew. A police car came to pick him up and the guards took him to the second floor in a prison building, where a pack of hatchet men once again beat him up. In particular, guard Guo Shaobei kicked him and knocked him. Mr. Weng's head hit the ceramic tiles, and knots as large as a fist swelled up on his head. The knots on the left side of his forehead did not disappear for two months. The swelling obscured his vision in one eye and the pain on his chest and ribs lasted for a month. Guard Li Songtao spread practitioner Mr. Weng's arms, locked them up against the two vertical iron rods on the bed with three pairs of handcuffs, and forced him to stand on tiptoe. With Mr. Weng's body being in a cross shape, Li slapped him in the face and made him to sit on a tiny stool for two months. From 4:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. everyday, they prevented him from getting any rest by making him sit on the stool. In addition, they limited the time when he could go to the washroom.

Mr. Weng's official sentence was from December 1, 2004, to November 30, 2006, and his two year imprisonment has already expired, but the authorities at Jinzhou Prison continue to imprison him, and the guards and hatchet men routinely torture him at will. Currently, 16 Falun Gong practitioners are imprisoned there and being tortured.

Falun Gong Practitioner Mr. Wei Xiushan, from Huadian, Jilin Province was persecuted to death around 2003 or 2004, in the 7th Ward of Jilin Prison. The ringleader of the convicted criminals in the 7th Ward at the time was Lan Shaohai from Yanbian. Another vicious person, Zhao Fuyu (people call him "African"), was from Shulan. He was ruthless. Originally, he was sentenced to one year in jail, but his sentence was extended because he beat a person to death at the detention center. Then he was transferred to Jilin Prison, and the police made use of him to persecute Falun Gong practitioners.

After Changchun Cable TV was intercepted with the broadcast of Falun Gong truth clarifying programming on March 5, 2002, Falun Gong practitioner Wei Xiushan was arrested. He was illegally sentenced to Jilin Prison to be persecuted in the 7th Ward.

The most atrocious method used to persecute Falun Gong practitioners in Jilin Prison was based on rewarding points to the convicted criminals who tortured Falun Gong practitioners. They could earn credit points, and after earning 3 credit points their sentence would be reduced. So the criminals used all kinds of cruel methods to torture Falun Gong practitioners in order to have their jail terms reduced. Their methods included strict control, confinement in a small cell, shackling onto a bed spread-eagle, directing convicted criminals to engage in the torture, torturing the genitals, around the clock monitoring, and forced feeding.

Wei Xiushan endured all kinds of torture by the convicts in the 7th Ward of Jilin Prison. He was sent to a hospital on October 21, 2003, and did not return.

Wei Xiushan was illegally sentenced to one year of forced labor in 1999 because he appealed for Falun Gong. In Weizigou Labor Camp, he was shocked by the police with electric batons because he refused to wear a prisoner's uniform. He recited "Lun Yu" to the prisoners when they were doing hard labor, and many of the prisoners told him that they would learn Falun Gong after they got out of the labor camp. Wei Xiushan's detention was illegally extended for eleven months. When he was asked to write a "self appraisal" for his release, he wrote, "I will continue to practice Falun Gong, and validate Falun Gong as an extraordinary science, and a very good cultivation way that can save people."

Because of this, he was sent directly to Xinlongshan brainwashing center for one month.
