  • San Francisco: Congratulating the 17 Million Chinese People Who Have Withdrawn from the Communist Organizations

The California Service Center for Quitting the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) held a celebration activity at Garden Corner Square in San Francisco at noon on January 14, 2007, to support the more than 17 million Chinese people who have quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations. San Francisco Divine Land Marching Band also made an appearance in Chinatown to show support and add zest to the rally. The Minghui School dance team also presented performances, attracting many passersby to stop and watch. The square was filled with a festive atmosphere.

During the rally, many people passing by were attracted by the performance given by Falun Gong practitioners at Garden Corner Square in Chinatown

Parade was held after the rally along the main streets in Chinatown

The host of the rally, representative of the North California Service Center for Quitting the CCP Ma Youzhi, said that more than 17 million Chinese people have quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations. "This is a day worth celebrating, but there are still many Chinese people who have been deceived by the CCP evil specter. We hoped to let everybody hear what the Chinese people have to say through this rally and see clearly the nature of the CCP."

Representative of the North California Service Center for Quitting the CCP Ma Youzhi speaks

Mr. Ma said, "The CCP has killed more than 80 million Chinese people in the past, and it is still enslaving our compatriots. Today, we are here to hold this rally to support and celebrate more than 17 million Chinese people that have awakened to the truth. We also hope that more Chinese people will awaken."

A company manager: "The straw that breaks the camel's back"

Senior manager of a hi-tech company in the Bay Area Mr. Wang Feng used an English idiom "the last straw" in talking about those that have withdrawn from the CCP. He said that the number of people who have quit the CCP as of today is 17 million. Nobody knows at which number the CCP will collapse. But the issue is, when "the last straw" does bring about the collapse of the CCP and you still have not quit, there will be no more chances for you to quit, and you will have to bear the mark of the beast imposed upon you by the CCP forever.

Wang Feng also said that nobody wants to be the last, single straw because it is too dangerous. Due to the Internet blockade, only about 30,000 people have announced their withdrawals [on The Epoch Times website], but many people more want to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations. Just like before an avalanche, it will then be very dangerous for you if you do not quickly withdraw from the CCP.

Wang Feng mentioned the CCP's heinous practice of harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners. This evil organization, the most evil and brutal organization in history, has killed 80 million Chinese people, and it still continues to kill even now. Shouldn't people be quick to break away from this wicked organization?

Dr. Zou Wei: Completely eliminate the bloodsucking CCP

Dr. Zou Wei said that since the CCP seized the power over 50 years ago, it has never ceased extracting the Chinese people's sweat and toil, particularly in the past ten years, China has introduced huge foreign investments, high-rise buildings, and large mansions in its cities, which are in the midst of constant construction. On the surface they look prosperous. The average Chinese citizen, by this time, should have made great progress, but ordinary Chinese generally feel much more pressured than before, and their living standards are actually becoming worse. They dare not see doctors when they fall ill, their children dare not go to college [because of high tuition fees], and many people cannot afford to buy their own homes.

Zou Wei recounted that some friends said that, although they know the CCP is no good, how could the Chinese people live if the CCP collapsed? Dr. Zou gave an example of a patient with schistosomiasis (parasitic flatworm infestation) that went to see a doctor. The doctor said only by removing the schistosomes from his body would he recover. If the patient said, "Doctor, if you remove the schistosomes from my body, how can I live?" everybody would think that this patient had something wrong with his mind. Chinese people have a history of 5,000 years. For over 4,900 years, China was not ruled by the CCP, but the people got along just fine. During the CCP's fifty-odd years in power, many disasters have befallen the Chinese people. Without the CCP, the Chinese people will live even better and more wonderful lives.

Falun Gong practitioner Shu Nan: More than 17 million withdrawals from the CCP is the best reason to celebrate the New Year

Falun Gong practitioner Shu Nan said, "At the beginning of 2007, we are here to congratulate more than 17 million brave Chinese people who have withdrawn from the CCP and its affiliated organizations. It is the best reason to celebrate the year 2007." Shu Nan talked about the significance of quitting the CCP from the perspectives of China's Constitution and safeguarding human rights. He said that the large-scale human rights movement in China started in the late 1990s, and it is no coincidence that the great wave of quitting the CCP started during that time.

Shu Nan said that many overseas legal experts have studied China's constitution and discovered that, as written, it is better than those of many foreign countries. The catch is that China's constitution has "four adherences." Shu Nan said, "Requiring adherence to the leadership of the Party, the CCP put itself above the constitution. As a ruling party, it can do as it pleases and violate any provision in the constitution; it can legally break the law. Therefore, the constitution becomes a worthless scrap of paper."

Professor Xia complains the CCP with his own experience

Professor Xia from the Bay Area said that she was only eleven years old when the CCP started ruling China. The CCP beat and killed people, one group after another. The deepest impression she has was the anti-rightist movement in 1957. Her respected teacher was deemed to be an enemy for no reason. One teacher, Mr. Wang, taught Marxism. He said one sentence: "Marxism is like a cup of plain boiled water, but is not as thick as tea." As a result, he was labeled a rightist. Two of Mr. Wang's friends from the Northeast of China were also named Wang, and they often got together. They were labeled the "Three Wangs' Anti-Revolutionary Group." Professor Xia said that such an example is enough for people to see the true nature of the CCP. She hoped the Chinese people would be brave enough to stand up and renounce the CCP and disintegrate it.

Sydney: Rally in Chinatown to Support Withdrawals from the Chinese Communist Party

On the afternoon of January 13, 2007, several organizations, including the Chinese Association, the Tibetan Association, the Vietnamese Association, Free China and the Service Center for Quitting the Communist Party held a rally in Sydney's Chinatown to support 17 million withdrawals from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations. Several Falun Gong practitioners from Sydney also attended the rally. The Divine Land Marching Band of Sydney, Tongsong Band, and other bands consisting of Falun Gong practitioners came to perform and support the rally. ABC TV, NTD TV, and Sound of Hope Radio Station covered the event.

The brutal persecution of Falun Gong, especially the organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners, shocked many people. They asked for more materials and supported the independent investigation group in their quest to conduct a detailed investigation of the organ harvesting.

Human rights activist: "The CCP cannot last very long"

Mr. Michael Darby, a human rights activist and a poet, gave a speech at the rally. Many people applauded him for his perfect Chinese. He was very happy about people quitting the party. He said that the trend of quitting the party shows that the CCP won't last very long. He pointed out that many people at the rally represented those who are being jailed, persecuted and killed by the CCP. He said that as a human being, we should stand up to protect human rights.

Chinese New Year Spectacular spreads traditional Chinese Culture

Yang Jun, president of the Chinese Association in Australia, talked about the incident where the Chinese New Year Spectacular in Korea was canceled due to CCP pressure. He pointed out that the CCP has ruined traditional Chinese culture. He said that the NTDTV Chinese New Year Spectacular demonstrates true traditional Chinese culture and can help to eliminate the culture created by the CCP. He called upon those people who support the CCP overseas to recognize the evil nature of the CCP and break away from its control.

Keep working for the freedom of the Chinese people

Mrs. Fan, a leader of the Vietnamese community, complimented those withdrawing from the CCP for their courage. The Vietnamese people were governed by the Communist Party too, so they understand the suffering that Chinese people are facing. The Chinese Communist Party is more brutal then the Vietnamese Communist Party. Mrs. Fan said that the people who are living in free countries should not forget those who are still suffering in Communist countries. She said that we should keep supporting those who are fighting for freedom until they truly obtain it.

Luo Yi, a representative from the Tibetan Association, Zhang Kaili from Free China and Ma Hengjuan from the Chinese community also gave speeches at the rally. They called upon people to stand up and say "no" to the CCP.

WOIPFG Releases Investigation Statement Regarding CCP Interference with NTDTV New Year Spectacular

On January 11, the World Organization to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong (WOIPFG) decided to initiate an investigation on related Chinese government institutions and individuals for their interference with the Chinese New Year Spectacular. Below is the WOIPFG investigation statement:

WOIPFG has learned that the Chinese Communist regime has been purposefully and systematically sabotaging the New Tang Dynasty TV's (NTDTV) 2006 Holiday Wonders and 2007 Chinese New Year Spectacular shows. Regarding such interference, WOIPFG issues the following statement:

NTDTV is an independent Chinese language TV station based in New York City and transmits its programs worldwide via satellite. Starting from 2004, the station introduced a show called "Chinese New Year Global Gala" to promote authentic traditional Chinese culture. This annual event has received wide support from all over the world. In December 2006, the station introduced a new show called "Holiday Wonders" with great success. Many westerners who watched the show highly commended it and Chinese audiences felt very proud for having traditional Chinese culture programs performed on Broadway.

NTDTV is independent and bravely reports news objectively: It is the first TV station which exposed the real situation of SARS in China; it has been focusing on the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners, especially the CCP's atrocities of harvesting organs from detained practitioners; it has carried a series of reports on the detention, house arrest and unlawful trial of renowned rights lawyer Gao Zhishen; it has paid high attention to the worldwide movement of quitting the CCP, which was triggered by the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party. Since the station started to prepare for the first Chinese New Year Gala in 2003, the Chinese Communist regime has spent huge amounts of taxpayers' money to interfere with and sabotage the show.

Starting from late 2006, the Chinese Communist regime has employed many despicable measures to interfere with the show. The measures include: Chinese diplomats threatened sponsors of the show and forced them to terminate their sponsorship; using national relations, commercial interest, and cultural exchange to coerce government officials, professors, and others not to participate in the show, receive media interviews or give comments regarding the show, or issue proclamations or congratulatory letters; Chinese government institutions directly pressured related foreign government institutions to force theaters under its management to cancel contracts with the NTDTV show; unlawfully withheld props made in China which were under special order for the show; systematically dispatched cultural performance groups to regions where the NTDTV show were to be performed. In an overlapping time slot, the regime rented the same theater or a nearby theater to hold a show in order to distract the audience. Those shows were unsuccessful and wasted huge amounts of money and resources. Meanwhile, most of the content of such shows were to praise the Chinese Communist regime and distort Chinese culture, which in fact damaged the image of the Chinese people and Chinese culture.

On December 16, 2003, when NTDTV was preparing for its first Chinese New Year Global Gala, the State Administration of Radio Film and Television (SARFT) issued an coded telegraph to all its provincial branches and gave direction on how to sabotage the Chinese New Year Global Gala. In a 2003 meeting, Wang Lili, director of Discipline Examination and Supervision of SARFT, mentioned the First Chinese New Year Global Gala presented by NTDTV and said that the satellite transmission of the show is to compete with the Chinese Central TV's (CCTV) New Year Gala; the SARFT-controlled CCTV repeatedly pressured the company which it rents satellite time from not to commit to a long-term contract with NTDTV; Chinese Communist embassies and consulates in many countries have written to local government officials, scholars and public figures, requesting them not to send congratulatory letters/greetings to the Chinese New Year Global Gala or receive media interviews; in addition, the Chinese Communist regime has also attacked NTDTV through local newspapers and public assemblies, and demanded local people, especially Chinese, not to support NTDTV. It also uses overseas Chinese associations which are under its control to attack the station and the show.

In addition, the Chinese Ministry of Information Industry has also pressured an European satellite company in order to interfere with NTDTV's signal transmission. WOIPFG has previously released an investigation statement and report on this topic.

Based on these facts, WOIPFG has decided to carry out an investigation on responsible institutions and individuals in order to verify their interference and pursue legal actions against the following people:

Zeng Qinghong, member of the CCP' Politburo Standing Committee

Li Zhaoxing, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and other involved officials from the ministry, embassies and consulates

Su Jiazheng, Minster of Culture, and other involved officials from the ministry

Wang Taihua, Director of State Administration of Radio Film and Television, and other involved officials from the Administration

Xu Yongyue, Minister of National Security, and other involved officials from the ministry

    Background

WOIPFG was founded on January 20, 2003. Its mission is to help and coordinate concerned people for justice and criminal justice institutions to investigate responsible individuals who have been involved in the persecution of Falun Gong and assist victims to bring the perpetrators to justice.
