  • Seattle, USA: Introducing Falun Dafa During Chinatown's Annual Summer Festival

On July 8-9, 2006, the annual Chinatown-International District Summer Festival was held in Seattle's Chinatown. Falun Gong practitioners were invited again for an on-stage performance and display booth, which drew many people with the unique grace and harmony of Falun Dafa.

Practitioners share the beneficial experiences of the practice

Dozens of groups performed ethic programs on the stage. The Falun Gong practitioners' wonderful performance was welcomed and there was not one empty seat left in the audience. The Flower Fairy Dance demonstrated compassion, which deeply touched the audience. Some even shed tears.

Before the exercise demonstration, practitioners shared their beneficial experiences from practicing Falun Dafa, which made a strong connection with the audience. The elegant and harmonious exercise demonstration was eye-catching, and made the audience, sitting under the baking sun, feel cool and peaceful. The practitioners' Lion Dance, with vivid plot and exquisite technique, won acclaim and warm applause from the entire audience.

Many people came to the booth to inquire about Falun Dafa after the performance. During the two-day festival, many people came and learned the truth of Falun Gong and the persecution at the booth.

A gentleman from Japan read an informational poster for quite a while. When a practitioner handed him some truth-clarification materials, he said he needed an organ transplant, but would not take the route of going to China. He said that it is very inhumane behavior to forcibly steal organs from Falun Gong practitioners. He hoped that everyone together would resist and condemn the crimes.

A young lady signed the petition condemning the organ harvesting and turned back to leave. A practitioner saw that she had tears in her eyes. The young woman said that she simply could not believe that organ removal is happening to young and kind practitioners. She felt great sorrow.

A seven-year-old child came up and asked, "I'm underage, can I sign it?" Several people, as they signed the petition, asked what the U.S. could do to help.

Practitioners treasure every opportunity that Master grants us for saving people and to help more people learn the facts.
