Following the murder of Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Gao Rongrong from Shenyang City, her family appealed to various government agencies. Her murderers have not yet been brought to justice. Recently, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) officials hid Gao Rongrong's body and said that officials from the Shenyang City Judicial Bureau must be present when her parents view the body. In the end, her elderly parents did not get to see the body and could not commemorate their beloved daughter on the one-year anniversary of her death.

Gao Rongrong's father is 77 years old and her mother is 74 years old. One year after Gao Rongrong's tragic death, her parents appealed everywhere but were always turned away. They delivered a letter of appeal to the Appeals Office of the City Disciplinary Inspection Committee nearly one year ago, and have never heard from them. They asked the officials, "Why don't you answer our letter?" The officials answered, "[The letter] has not yet been given to the leaders." "Where are the leaders?" The person hesitated and said, "In the front yard."

The elderly couple could find no place to report the murder case and to ask for redress for the brutal murder of their daughter. The court told them to go to the Procuratorate; the Procuratorate told them to go to the police and the police said, "Only the police station in charge of the precinct where the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp is located can handle this case." In the chilling wind, the elderly couple rushed to the Shuguang Police Station in Liaoning Province's Prison City, where the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp is located. A police officer surnamed Wen was already waiting for them. He said, "I knew you were going to come, so I called Wang Wei, the head of the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp this morning." The parents' heart sank. They thought, "We are appealing against Wang Wei, Su Jing, Zhao Laixi and others who murdered Gao Rongrong, yet the murderers learned about the appeal before we could file it. All the officials are really colluding with one another."

On May 7, 2004, Gao Rongrong's face was disfigured after guards Tang Yubao and Jiang Zhaohua at the Longshan Forced Labor Camp shocked her face with electric batons for seven hours

Feeling hopeless, the old couple still recounted the persecution of Gao Rongrong to the police officer. He felt somewhat sorry but quickly said, indifferently, "Oh, things like that happen all the time. This prison [Dabei Prison in Shenyang City] holds Falun Gong practitioners, and some of them die each year. The same goes for labor camps. He [a police officer] can't be called a murderer if he is working. Even if he really committed a crime, we can't do anything about it. We can't accept your case. Go to the Procuratorate."

The parents clarified the truth about Gao Rongrong's death wherever they went, and they showed people the picture of Gao Rongrong's disfigured face, which caused shock and anger. People said, "They can do such a hideous thing to an innocent person! The CCP is done for!" A young taxi driver said, "I can access overseas website(s) and read about Gao Rongrong. I almost couldn't believe it, but now I'm used to everything the CCP does. This time I'm going to quit the Young Pioneers and the Communist Youth League. The CCP is just too evil."

Once, many people gathered at the Masanjia Train Station to look at Gao Rongrong's pictures and listen to her parents tell her story. Some people couldn't believe this had happened in the same environment they live in; that someone was being barbarically tortured to death inside the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp. One man in a police uniform said, "Now they are increasingly unscrupulous inside the labor camps. They are capable of any crime." The unbelieving people's eyes got big in surprise after they heard about it and after they looked at the pictures.

Prior to the 2006 Chinese New Year, Gao Rongrong's family went to Wenguantun Funeral Home to commemorate Gao Rongrong. Ms. Gao's father, old and physically weak, could no longer withstand the excessive sorrow and grief and was unable to make the trip.

When Gao Rongrong's mother and sister arrived at the funeral home, the cold and dark freezing cabinet assigned to Gao Rong's body was empty. Gao Rongrong's mother trembled with grief and shock. Gao Rongrong's sister checked the Body Storage List, which said Gao Rongrong's body is in cabinet No. 82, but it was empty. They asked the funeral home employees, "Was the body cremated? Who made the decision? We have the Body Storage List. No one has the right to cremate the body without the family's consent."

The workers wanted to say something but stopped halfway. Later they said, "Wait here, we have to ask our superiors." Someone told the family in private, "The National Security Bureau is in charge of this affair; no one dares to utter a word without prior approval."

During the long wait, Gao Rongrong's mother cried and felt dizzy. After a long time, a funeral home section head arrived and met with the family. Gao Rongrong's mother asked about the whereabouts of the body. He said, "We didn't cremate her body, it's still here. We changed the storage cabinet arrangement so it is easier to manage it. Officials from the local police station and from the Shenyang City Judicial Bureau must be present if you want to see her body. We already contacted the local police. They can come here at any time. We also called the Judicial Bureau, but they said that calling them on the phone won't work, you must go there to find them in person."

Gao Rongrong's mother and sister said, "The officials at the Shenyang City Judicial Bureau were among the main criminals who orchestrated Gao Rongrong's murder. Gao Rongrong is our family member, and her parents brought her body here. We have all the documents for the storage and everything else and should be notified of a storage change. It should not happen without our consent! Why do those from the Shenyang City Judicial Bureau have to be here when we look at our own family member? They are the murderers! Is there justice anywhere?"

The section head was surprised, "Didn't they tell you about the freezer change? The Judicial Bureau said they had informed you." He felt sorry for them and said, "Gao Rongrong's case is special. The leaders at the funeral home including me don't have the power to decide anything about her case."

Gao Rongrong's family members said to everyone present, "Gao Rongrong had practiced Falun Gong. Her face was disfigured after Tang Yubao and Jiang Zhaohua from Longshan City shocked her face with electric batons. They are still persecuting her after death by hiding her body. Gao Rongrong is indeed special. The persecution she experienced is evidence of the crime that was committed. There is no way to cover up their crimes."

Gao Rongrong's mother choked back tears and talked about what a wonderful daughter Gao Rongrong had been. The old mother had difficulty breathing due to grief. In the end, the family did not get to see the body.

Gao Rongrong's family went to the Liaoning Province Procuratorate after she was murdered and again after her body disappeared. Her family asked the officials at the Procuratorate, "What's the outcome on the disfigurement crimes committed against Gao Rongrong by Tang Yubao? Did you bring the responsible parties to justice? How come you never gave us the examination report on her injuries? She had been savagely murdered at the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp. What would the provincial Procuratorate do about our appeal?"

Officials at different divisions of the Liaoning Province Procuratorate tried to shirk their responsibilities. Gao Rongrong's parents waited in the snow and freezing wind outside the province Procuratorate for a whole day. No one came out to meet them.

Several days later Lin Yi, deputy head of the Prison Inspection Divsion of the Liaoning Province Procuratorate gave an official response:

"Gao Rongrong's case is a special case in a special historic period, because she practiced Falun Gong. The Liaoning Province 610 Office is in charge of this case. The 610 Office is a large organization and it has control over everything. The 610 Office is the product of a unique historic period and it is directly headed by the Politics and Law Committee. Back in 2004, the judicial system, the legal system and the police held a conference to discuss Gao Rongrong's case. Right now the Politics and Law Committee is coordinating some of our cases. The 610 Office is in charge of handling Falun Gong. The documents you gave to the provincial Procuratorate have been turned over to the 610 Office as the 610 Office was handling this case in the first place. The 610 Office was then also directing the work of the provincial Procuratorate, and now the 610 Office is still responsible for Falun Gong cases. Its role remains the same."

Qin Chunzhi, the former head of the Prison Inspection Division of the Liaoning Province Procuratorate straightforwardly told the family, "You've come here many times, and I already told you clearly. I cannot make any decision on Gao Rongrong's case on my own. The Liaoning Province 610 Office, the secretary of the Liaoning Province Politics and Law Committee personally asked about this case. The Shenyang City 610 Office is personally handling this case. Do you think it's possible for me, a division head at the provincial procuratorate, to poke my nose into something that belongs to the Shenyang City CCP Committee? Let me make it clear to you: you said you wanted the injury examination report. Even if I had it, I wouldn't be able to give it to you! Which law states that you ought to have the final injury examination report? I won't even orally tell you about the results, because the leaders of the provincial Procuratorate have already told you that the provincial CCP Committee people have clearly told us that we should not get involved in this case."

The family called people at the Liaoning Province 610 Office who told them to call the Shenyang City 610 Office. Song, an official at the Shenyang City 610 Office said, "Go to the Procuratorate; we never had anything to do with it [Gao Rongrong's case]."

Officials from the Baoding City Security Bureau, from the Baoding City Police Department, the Xinshi District Procuratorate and Xinshi District Court in Baoding City colluded in framing four Baoding Falun Gong practitioners who were sentenced to prison on May 11, 2006. Practitioners Zhi Zhanmin and Zhang Rongjie were sentenced to 12 years in prison; Liu Yongwang was sentenced to eight years in prison, and Wei Haiwu was sentenced to four years in prison. Liu Yongwang has appealed with the Baoding City Intermediate Court.

While the appeal is pending, Liu Yongwang has been on hunger strike since May 24 to protest the illegal detention and persecution. Authorities at the Baoding City Detention Center are force-feeding him, and his life is in constant danger.

National Security Bureau agent Sun Lizhi who persecuted the four practitioners secretly entered practitioner Liu Yongwang's home several times and installed monitoring devices. He accessed Liu Yongwang's laptop computer used for work, and fabricated charges against the practitioner. After Liu Yongwang was illegally arrested, Sun Lizhi even told him about what he had done inside Liu Yongwang's home and his computer, trying to intimidate him and extort a confession.

The following is Liu Yongwang's application for medical parole submitted to the Xinshi District Court and to the Baoding City Intermediate Court, which exposes the persecution. Some names are omitted.

On December 10, 2001, I was sent to the Baoding Forced Labor Camp. I had by then been on hunger strike for nearly three months and was extremely weak. My weight had dropped from 150 jin [165 pounds] to about 90 jin [99 pounds]. At first, I received IV infusions for about 20 days, and on January 1, 2002 they brutally force-fed me. They pried my mouth open with a pair of medical pliers, pinched my nose and poured fluid into my mouth. I tried to breathe but my nose was pinched shut, and my mouth was filled with the fluid. My mouth was immobilized and I could not move; some fluid went down to my stomach while much more was choked into my lung.

In late January 2002, they force-fed 46-year-old practitioner Feng Guoguang from Yi County the same way they did with me. Feng Guoguang constantly vomited blood, and he died after about 15 days.

After I was force-fed, my whole body was cold, my heart rate went up to 120 beats per minute, and my breathing was more than 50 times per minute. I became unconscious at dusk during a toilet break. I didn't know how long I was unconscious, but when I came to I saw the room was filled with people. I was incontinent and my bowel movement was on the quilt. Around 10:00 p.m. the next day I vomited blood all over the floor. The doctor came to me and said it was blood from my lungs.

At midnight the people who monitored me saw my bloodshot eyes and took my temperature. It had shot to the top of a thermometer with maximum reading of 42 ⁰C [107.6 ⁰F]. They switched to another thermometer, and the reading was past 43 ⁰C [109 ⁰F]. I was immediately sent to the emergency room at the No. 2 Hospital. I was brought back to the labor camp the following day and received an IV infusion. One week later my temperature had dropped below 41 ⁰C [105.8 ⁰F]. I was muddle-headed in those days and my life was hanging by a thread. I continued to vomit blood for more than one month, and the pain in my chest never went away. I was locked in the same quarantine room as a late-stage tuberculosis patient. In February 2002 I was diagnosed with tuberculosis. I lost feelings in my left leg after a long-term fever. In September 2002 the diagnosis was "nerve damage in the left leg." My hunger strike had lasted total 108 days.

On October 13, 2002, they carried me into a room where they used to torture determined Falun Gong practitioners. They shocked me with electric batons and hit me with rubber clubs and coerced me to attack Falun Gong and "reform" [renounce Falun Gong]. I told them, "It's against the law to beat people." They hog-tied me and then whipped my face with rubber clubs and leather belts and they knocked out one of my front teeth. They shocked the top of my head, the inside of my thighs and other sensitive body parts with electric batons until the smell of charred flesh permeated the room. They tortured me for three days. I went on hunger strike on the first day of the three-day torture. After the three-day torture, they tied me spread-eagle in a metal bed 24 hours a day for 21 days. My back was scraped by the prickly metal grids on the bed. When I rubbed my back, my hand was covered in blood. Many reports of so-called "former Falun Gong practitioners' exposure and attack against Falun Gong" programs on TV were produced this way after the practitioners were brutally tortured and yielded to the tremendous pain and pressure.

They saw that I refused to "reform," so they sent me to the Tangshan City Forced Labor Camp for further persecution. My hunger strike lasted until the 72^nd day. In early spring 2004 I recovered some feelings in my left leg, but both legs started hurting and being numb. In early May 2004, I was diagnosed with "neurological damage in both lower limbs" that would progress to paralysis. In mid June 2004 I was released on medical parole.

This time, they arrested me again for the August 2 Special Case. My feet started hurting in late September 2005. On October 25, 2005 they took me to the No. 252 Hospital for a nuclear magnetism exam, and found the location for the vertebra pathological change spot. Despite my condition, the Special Case Group openly tortured me on seat No. 9, Row 1 inside the Baoding City Detention Center library from November 7 until November 13, although I had by then been on hunger strike for two-and-a-half months. They were trying to make me go along with false charges and create another tragedy. They immobilized me in the interrogation chair, shined high-intensity flashlights into my eyes and shocked me with electric batons for seven days, keeping me from sleeping. After my legs were held in the same position for a long time they swelled and my condition worsened. As the weather became warmer, the numbness and pain in my legs reached such an extent that I often could not fall asleep at night. This time, my hunger strike had lasted 81 days.

My experiences under the persecution, during much of which I hung at death's door, includes several hunger strike sessions: 108 days, another 72 days as well as another 81 days of hunger strike; coma, incontinence, vomiting blood, high fever of 43 ⁰C that lasted one week, tuberculosis, disability in my left leg, one front tooth being knocked out, ropes cutting into my flesh, three days of nonstop torture, being tied in a metal bed for 21 days while on hunger strike, nerve damage in both legs, seven days of torture, incessant pain in both legs...

I suffered from all this violence and persecution only because I refused to give up my belief in Truth-Compassion-Forbearance.

Falun Gong Practitioner Mr. Zhou Jiangang has been cruelly tortured in Qinduankou Prison in Hubei Province. He was sent to a hospital to recover when doctors found that his spine was broken.

On March 10, 2006, during a meeting in Qinduankou Prison in which Falun Gong was being criticized, detained Falun Gong practitioners, Mr. Feng Zhen and Mr. Zhou Jiangang shouted, "Falun Dafa is good!" in an attempt to stop the evil persecution and the poisoning of sentient beings. Guard Qin (male) directed other prisoners to brutally beat Mr. Feng Zhen and Mr. Zhou Jiangang, and afterwards locked them in solitary confinement. Mr. Zhou Jiangang was tortured to the brink of death.

At 3:00 p.m. on April 25, 2006, Mr. Zhou Jiang'gang was sent to Wuhan City Emergency Rescue Center, but was soon transferred to Tongji Hospital. He was diagnosed with a broken spine. His medical costs are over three hundred thousand yuan. Mr. Zhou Jiangang can talk now after more than a month of treatment.

Chongqing City Falun Gong practitioner Zhang Quanliang was abducted by police in December 2005. He was detained in Li Ziba Detention Center, Yuzhong District, Chongqing City. Police extorted confessions by means of torture during the interrogations, and those were used to prosecute him. The police submitted a legal document against Mr. Zhang to Yuzhong District Court, trying to put him in jail.

The court date is June 12th 9:30 am. The location is 36th court room at Yuzhong District Court, and the clerk's name is Wen Yao.

Mr. Zhang was abducted by police on Dec 7 2005 at Yubei District, and his head was wrapped in a black bag. He was hung up and beaten for six days and nights at the Shangqingshi Police Station, then he was tortured by the National Security Team of Yuzhong District Police Department for three days. On December 16 he was sent to the detention center for further persecution. Police used mind-altering drugs to make Mr. Zhang talk about his truth clarification work. Then police used this as evidence to sue him for further persecution.

The related officials did not notify Mr. Zhang's family members after he was abducted, which was against regulations. Mr. Zhang's mother-in-law, Gu Zhiyi, former director of Chongqing Falun Gong assistance center, called the police, but they said they did not know. After continuous inquiries, someone who was not a policeman was sent to notify them about Mr. Zhang's arrest.

Mr. Zhang Quanliang has been persecuted at Xisanping Labor Camp for three years. He was released on January 1, 2004. In Feb 2005 his wife (who had been forced to leave home) was abducted. She is still detained in a labor camp. In April 2006 Mr. Zhang escaped from police custody and he has been hunted by police since then.

Please help to rescue Mr. Zhang through sending out righteous thoughts and calling.

Mr. Yao Yaocai, 39 years old, is from Niaowei Village, Guiling Township, Jiedong County, Jieyang City, Guangdong Province. At the beginning of December 2000 (by the lunar calendar), he went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong. Later he was returned home by personnel from the Guiling Township government and detained in the Guiling Township Detention Center for half a month. Then his family pieced together 3,600 "yuan" and bailed him out. Thereafter, police officers from the local police station along with cadres from the Guiling Township government and Niaowei Village often visited his home to harass him. Also, they required his family members to report his whereabouts every day. On December 25, 2000, he was forced to leave home and wander about wearing thin clothing and with no money in severe winter. Since then he has been missing.

When he left home, he still had his 73-year-old mother, wife, 7-year-old son, and 5-year-old daughter at home. The personnel from the local government harassed them endlessly. Since his wife was unable to ever see her husband, she remarried under the financial pressure and headed off to distant parts with her children.

Now six years have passed. His relatives have been seeking his whereabouts without any news.

Zhang Chunying, Practitioner from Gaocheng City, Hebei Province, Missing Since 2001

Zhang Chunying, Falun Gong practitioner from Gaocheng City, Hebei Province, is 42 years old. In 2001 she went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong and has not returned home yet. Her husband, Li Huaxin and two underage children live a hard life.

Ms. Zhang Min, about 20 years old and single, is a Falun Gong practitioner from Daqing City. She used to live in Zhaodong City and later moved to Huoju Village, Saertu District, Daqing City. She went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong before the New Year of 2002. Since then she has never been heard from. Her sister and mother have been longing for word of her whereabouts. Since the CCP's secret concentration camp was exposed, her relatives and friends have become more worried about her. Whoever knows about her whereabouts, please provide those .

Ms. He Xueyu, 67 years old, lived in No. 5 team, Danian Village, Hongyuan Township, Jianyang City, Sichuan Province. She was subjected to persecution in 2002 and forced to leave home. As of now her whereabouts is unknown. Insiders, please provide detailed information.

Jiang Dafen is from the Hannan District in Wuhan City. She was born in June 1968 and has been missing since 2001.

When I was shopping in a market, I clarified the facts about Falun Gong to an older man. He told me in great consternation that a woman from his village, Kang Shuling, 63, had been missing since 2004. He said that she had been on the staff of the Benxi City FRP Plant and that her family was extremely worried about her.

Practitioner Chen Chunguang is from the Doumen District in Zhuhai City. He was detained for several years after completing his jail sentence, since he persisted in his practice of Falun Gong. There has been no additional news about him.

Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Zhuang Gangxiang from Harbin City was illegally arrested on February 26, 2006 and taken to a detention center. He held a hunger strike to protest the persecution, was brutally force-fed and injected with unknown drugs. While in excruciating pain and beside himself, he swallowed the needle, yet the perpetrators illegally sentenced him to 21 months of forced labor and sent him to the Changlinzi Labor Camp. His family has not seen him until now.

Zhuang Gangxiang has been persecuted numerous times before. In late August 2002, he developed heart disease while in detention and was released on medical parole. On March 6, 2003, officers from a police station in Dongfengxin Village, Daqing City saw Zhuang Gangxiang carrying a banner that read, "Falun Dafa is good." They beat him until he was in critical condition. Blood oozed from many wounds on his head. His face was black and blue and swollen, and he could not walk. He was carried to a labor camp. Mr. Zhuang had to lie down and had become incontinent. The next day, deputy group head Wang Yingzhou tied him in a chair for seven days, after which Wang Yingzhou directed inmates to handcuff Zhuang Gangxiang at night during sleep. This abuse lasted more than one month.

Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Guo Ren'ai, 50, is a retired teacher employed by the First Middle School of the Hua'nan Forestry Department. On June 2, 2006, she was clarifying the truth when a sports competition was held at the Dongfeng Elementary School of Hua'nan Forestry. She was reported and arrested by policemen Guo Junlin, Sang Jingbo, and others from the National Security Department of Hua'nan Forestry. Currently she is being detained in the Detention Center of Hua'nan Forestry.

1. [Ziyun County, Guizhou Province] Mr. Wang Xuxiong Has Been On a Hunger Strike for Over a Month to Protest Persecution

Mr. Wang Xuxiong, 35 years old, is from Ziyun County, Guizhou Province. Since the beginning of April 2006, he has been on hunger strike after he was sent to the Zhongba Forced Labor Camp. The police have transferred him to the hospital of the Zhongba Forced Labor Camp, and he has been persecuted with force-feeding.

Mr. Wang Hongting, a practitioner from Xintaimen, was arrested on March 9. He was giving out truth-clarifying materials. He was sent to be persecuted at Huludao City Forced Labor Camp.

Mr. Wang Yuanju, a practitioner from Suizhong, is currently being persecuted at Huludao Forced Labor Camp. During this period of time, the police harassed him repeatedly. The policemen said that they would give him five thousand yuan per month if he would be released and inform police about other Falun Gong practitioners. He refused.

Ms. He Shuzhen, a practitioner from Tiexi District, Shenyang City, is about sixty years old. Around May 1, 2006, she was arrested by the Zhonggong Public Security Sub-bureau of Tiexi District for giving out truth-clarifying materials.

Mr. Yang Shijie, a practitioner from Shunyi Section, Shunyi District, 49 years old, was arrested by plainclothes policemen of the Qinghe Police Substation, Haidian District, Beijing City at around 10:00 p.m. on May 18 when he went to his old home to collect rental fees. They took him back to his new home and searched it. They found a copy of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party. Later the police forced Yang's wife to bring four other policemen to search Mr. Yang Shijie's parents' home at around 11:30 p.m. Currently, Mr. Yang Shijie's family does not know where he is being detained.

Mr. Yang Yusuo, a practitioner from Wuqing District, Tianjin City was arrested and jailed at No. 3 Team of Shuangkou Forced Labor Camp, Tianjin City in mid-March 2006. He was sentenced to one and a half years. When Mr. Yang Yusuo's family members learned of this, they went to visit him. Since they refused to write several statements that defamed Falun Gong, the forced labor camp forbade them to visit Mr. Yang Yusuo.

April 10 was the visiting date. Mr. Yang Yusuo asked his family for some clothes. When his family went to the labor camp, they were again asked to write statements defaming Falun Gong. When his family refused to write those statements, the police again refused to let them see him.

May 10 was again the visiting date. Mr. Yang Yusuo asked his family for some shoes. When his family went to the labor camp, they were stopped at the door by the police. The police said they stopped them because Mr. Yang Yusuo was not transformed and refused to write statements giving up Falun Gong.

On May 19, 2006, a practitioner named Zhang Hui from Tianqiao District, Jinan City and grandson Zhang Zhihang were detained and interrogated by the Huaiyin District Public Security Sub-bureau of Jinan City.

From May 1 till now, several practitioners from the villages of An'guo City, Baoding Region were arrested and taken to the detention center. On May 1, Ms. Dong Mei from Wazili was arrested at home. On the morning of May 11, police from the Dawanxiang Police Substation arrested Jin Ge, a practitioner from Dalizhuang, at home.

At around 4:00 p.m. on May 20, the Nankai District 610 Office, the residence police and the staff of the Neighborhood Committee suddenly broke into Mr. Zhang Jinhe's home and illegally searched it. Mr. Zhang Jinhe was arrested and her daughter Ms. Zhang Jun, also a practitioner, was forced to leave home.

At noon on April 21, a practitioner was reported to the police and as a result, was arrested from home by over ten policemen in plainclothes led by Zhang Ruiqian. The police also confiscated Falun Gong books.

Fellow practitioners lost contact with Mr. Zhang Guolin, a practitioner from Hua County, Shaanxi Province after he was released from the Zaozihe Labor Camp in April 2006. Mr. Zhang Guolin's former workplace mentioned he was transferred to a place called "Lutiankuan". There was no detailed information about him and no one could find him by calling the phone number left.

On the evening of May 17, 2006, police from Wangshi Town Police Substation in Haicheng, Liaoning Province broke into Ms. Chen Shulan's home and arrested her. The police also searched her home.

Ms. Chen Shulan and her husband Mr. Qu Yingmin were sentenced to forced labor camp in March 2001 and held in Shenyang Dabei Jail. Ms. Chen Shulan has been persecuted for four years and Mr. Qu Yingmin has been persecuted for three years. At the same time, their son Mr. Qu Zhen was sentenced to one year of forced labor camp. The whole family has been tortured inhumanely.

Practitioners Mr. Zhang Zhangping, Mr. Zhang Fushou and Ms. Liu Huiying from Miaoba Town, Dazu County, Sichuan Province are being jailed at the detention center and force-fed after their homes were broken into separately by the local police around April 19.

Practitioner Ms. Xiang Jinping is from Macheng, Hubei Province. She went with a fellow practitioner to Macheng Railway Station on May 13 to clarify the truth when Ms. Xiang Jinping was arrested by the Railway Public Security Department. The testing facilities detected that she had truth-clarifying DVDs with her.

She implicated Ms. Zhang Zihua from Macheng. On the morning of May 16, Ms. Zhang was arrested by three policemen from the Criminal Investigation Section, who were waiting for her in her own store. Later the instructor of the Macheng National Security Team took three policemen and searched her home. On May 17, the fellow practitioner, who went with Ms. Xiang Jinping, was also arrested by the Railway Public Security Section.

Ms. Ban Shumei and Sun Lili from the No. 18 Research Institute of China Carrier Rocket Research Institute were arrested

Ms. Dong Guizhen, a practitioner from Laizhou City, was arrested in the evening of May 17, 2006 when she was giving out truth-clarifying materials. Her whereabouts is unknown .

On April 8, 2006, three practitioners from Hongta District, Yuxi City, Yunnan Province Ms. Deng Cuiping, Ms. Hua Lanxian and Ms. Gu Liqing were reported to the police when they were giving out truth-clarifying materials at Beicheng Town. They were arrested by the police led by He Xiaopei from the National Security Team of Hongta District, Yuxi City. Ms. Deng Cuipng is jailed at the Jiangchuan Detention Center in Yunnan Province, and is facing illegal sentencing. Ms. Hua Lanxian and Ms. Gu Liqing are detained in Hongta District Detention Center of Yuxi City, Yunnan Province.

One day in January 2005, Mr. Chen Guanghua (an employee of Yuxi Finance Bureau) was arrested when he was cooking at home. More than ten police from the National Security Team of Hongta District, led by Zhu Jiayong and Ren Haiyan, took him away. When Mr. Chen Guanghua's newlywed wife asked them why they arrested her husband without any reason, several police verbally abused her and tied her up.

At the beginning of December 2005, Mr. Du Jie, a practitioner from Chengdu City, was reported to the police for clarifying the truth. The policemen of the Taoxi Road Police Substation and the Neighborhood Committee of the Taoxi Road Community came to Mr. Du Jie's place, arrested him, and took him to the Chenghua District Brainwashing Center. He is being persecuted there.

In April 2006, Mr. Du Jie was sent to the Xinjin Brainwashing Center and has been further persecuted there.

Mr. Du Jie was an employee of the Chengdu Locomotive Factory. He was fired for practicing Falun Gong. He has been jailed several times by the Er'xianqiao Police Station and Feng Fawu from Chenghua District Police Department, and has since been sentenced to labor camp at Nanmusi.

On around May 9, Ms. Xiao Zhu, around 30 years old, from Chengdu City, was arrested by the police when she was clarifying the truth at Huangzong Section, Chengdu City. Her current whereabouts is unknown.

On May 15, Ms. Pu Hong and Xiao Xiao from Chengdu City were arrested by the police of the Caotang Police Substation, Qingyang District, Chengdu City. Currently no one knows their whereabouts.

On January 5 and 6, 2005, the Mengyin County Police Department, the 610 Office, Duozhuang Town Government and the police station stole things from Falun Gong practitioners, including:

One DVD burner, valued at over 3000 yuan.
Three hundred DVDs valued at over 300 yuan.
One DVD player, valued at 200 yuan.
TV set valued at 300 yuan.
One cassette tape recorder, valued at 300 yuan.
One box of carbon powder, valued at 600 yuan.
Eight boxes of A4 copying paper, valued at 1000 yuan.

As of May 22, 2006, eleven practitioners are being illegally sentenced and jailed at a forced labor camp. They are:

Ms. Li Huiqin, who was arrested on January 14, 2004 and was recently sentenced to three years;
Ms. Ma Lin, who was arrested on January 5, 2005 and was recently sentenced to three years;
Ms. Xu Liping, who was arrested on January 5, 2005 and was recently sentenced to three years;
Mr. Zhang Zhengqiao, who was arrested on August 18, 2005 and was recently sentenced to three years;
Ms. Wan Qiaoying, who was arrested on May 18, 2005 and was recently sentenced to five years;
Ms. Jiang Yuhua, who was arrested on August 18, 2005 and was recently sentenced to five years;
Ms. Gao Mengyuan, who was arrested on August 18, 2005 and was recently sentenced to five years.

Mr. Chen Dingwu from Shantou City, Guangdong Province was arrested on April 29, 2006 by the Shenzhen 610 Office, and is currently being jailed at Bao'an Detention Center.

23. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Liu Fang Went On Hunger Strike to Resist the Persecution. She Has Been Released.

Ms. Liu Fang from Dalian Development District was arrested on April 14, 2006 for clarifying the truth. Ms. Liu Fang did not cooperate with the evil, and she went on a hunger strike to protest the persecution. Two weeks later, she appeared to have kidney failure, so she was released on April 29 unconditionally.

Ms. Wang Yan, a practitioner from Fuhao Leather Products Company in Rushan City, Shandong Province, was reported to the police for clarifying the truth. In the morning of May 18, Yang Gesong, Deputy Chief of  the 1st Section of  Rushan City Police Department, along with the Shangyejie Police Substation, arrested Ms. Wang Yan at work. They searched Ms. Wang Yan's home and office. Currently Ms. Wang Yan is jailed at the Rushan Detention Center.

Ms. Li Suxian, a practitioner from Tangjiacun Village, Changxing Town, Heishan County, Liaoning Province was arrested on April 12, 2006 by the police of the Heishan National Security Team. The police told her family she had been sent to Masanjia Forced Labor Camp. It has been verified that Ms. Li Suxiang is still in Heishan Detention Center.

Mr. Liu Jilian has been jailed at the Dalian Forced Labor Camp for one and a half years. The labor camp refused to let his family visit, saying: "If he is not transformed, no visit is allowed. This is a regulation from above." It is said that Mr. Liu Jilian has symptoms of illness.

In March 2006, Mr. Shi Zhenguo was reported by Dong Zangdong, a team leader in Matuncun Village, Raoyang County, Hebei Province. As a result, Mr. Shi Zhenguo has been kept at Raoyang Detention Center, and no one was allowed to visit him. When the police went to search Mr. Shi Zhenguo's home, they confiscated two thousand yuan from him.
