Mr. Lei Xiankang, a resident of Yongchuan City, Chongqing, 64, and an employee of Yongchuan Educational Office, lived in the fifth people's commune, sixteenth village, Chadian country. He was retired because of sickness and stayed home. After practicing Falun Gong, he became healthy. He went to Beijing to appeal on July 5, 2000. Since then, he has been missing. After his detainment, his family was often harassed, threatened and extorted. His wife lives alone and has a very difficult life.

Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Xu Lishan in Chaozhou City, Guangdong Province, an employee of the Chaozhou City Water Factory was about 40 years old. She disappeared after going to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong again in 2000. No one has heard anything about her ever since. She has two children at home.
After serving a one-year-long illegal detention, several practitioners in Wuwei City, Gansu Province, were secretly sentenced to prison in March 2006. The "Sentencing Statements" were sent to the Liangzhou District Detention Center at the end of March 2006.
All from Wuwei City: Ms. Zhang Wenjuan, 42, from Huai'an Village, Baishu Township was sentenced to six years in prison;
Ms. Tai Maehua, 38, from Wuhe Township was sentenced to four years in prison;
Mr. Wang Qingde, in his 50s, from Shuangshu Township was sentenced to three years in prison; and
Mr. Zhang Yanju, 38, from Gaoba Township was sentenced to seven years in prison.
These practitioners were arrested on February 27 or 28, 2005. We heard that they would first be held in a brainwashing center located in Lanzhou City for three months, then sent to Jiuquan Prison, a concentration camp.
Up until now, five practitioners in Wuwei City have been tortured to death in the persecution. There are still 26 practitioners being tortured in prisons, labor camps, and detention centers. Twelve practitioners were arrested before the 2006 New Year in Jinsha Township or Hongxiang Town of the Langzhou District, Wuwei City. Among these 12, three of them were sent to forced labor in Lanzhou City.
Falun Gong practitioner Kong Fanrong died from torture on May 11, 2003 in Shulan City, Jilin Province. After that, her family continued to suffer persecution such as harassment and arrests by lawless personnel. Ms. Kong's husband Bian Hongxiang was arrested twice and tortured until he was close to death. He is living away from home to avoid further persecution and is unable to return. On April 2, 2006, Huanchen policemen in Shulan unlawfully followed and arrested Bian Hongxiang's daughter, Bian Linyun. Bian Hongxiang's mother Wang Liqin, who was 93 years old, passed away while calling her son's name.
Ms. Wang Liqin was pleased to be introduced to Falun Gong in 1997. Through exercise and practice, the illnesses she had suffered from for many years -- coronary disease, angina pectoris, bone proliferation, rheumatoid arthritis, gastritis, rheumatic heart disease and other ailments, were completely healed. The wonderful effect of Falun Gong in curing illness and strengthening her health has made her immediate family and other relatives amazed and grateful.
But after July 20, 1999, because Jiang's regime and the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) started to brutally persecute Falun Gong practitioners, Ms. Wang's daughter-in-law Kong Fanrong was illegally arrested by Changchun City police on January 14, 2003. On May 11, 2003, she died as a result of gross abuse by policemen in the Shulan City Forced Labor Camp in Jilin Province. When Wang Liqin heard this unfortunate news, she fainted immediately and fell to the ground, injuring her head. Her whole family hurried to assist her.
After Ms. Wang regained consciousness she started to cry loudly. She could not stop calling her daughter-in-law's name and said, "Fanrong, Fanrong, how miserably you died! How innocent you were! We practitioners only want to get rid of our illnesses and to be good people. Why does the government prohibit us from practicing? Is it that they can't distinguish right from wrong?"
Wang Liqin was mentally traumatized. In addition, her son Bian Hongxiang had been arrested three times. Two out of those three arrests happened when he was away from home, and he was abused until he was close to death. When Mr. Bian was released, he was close to death. Wang Liqin was devastated.
On July 21, 2005 around 4:00 p.m., Huanchen Police Station Chief Yan Jianhua together with another policeman suddenly rushed into Bian Linyun's home and demanded, "Where is your father Bian Hongxiang?" Bian Linyun said, "I don't know. He didn't say a word when he left home." The policemen took Bian Linyun away under force.
Ms. Wang Liqin's grandson-in-law and her granddaughter had been supporting her. Ms. Wang and her grandson-in-law went to the police station to ask for her granddaughter's release almost every day, from July 22 until August 3.
Wang Liqin was extremely depressed and became ill under the long-term persecution of her family members. She died in the early morning of April 13, 2006. When she died, she was still calling her son's name.

Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Wang Ruijian has been detained in the Changchun City Third Detention Center since he was arrested on March 17, 2006. He has been on hunger strike to protest the persecution. His wife has gone to the local police station or District police department many times requesting his release, but they have refused. The Office of Economic Development in the District Police Department is busy fabricating materials to have Mr. Wang sentenced. On April 29, 2006, his wife went to the Third Detention Center to visit, but heard that Mr. Wang Ruijian was on hunger strike, and was not allowed to be visited. She went many times later, but was not allowed to visit. She is very worried about Mr. Wang's health and life.
Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Lin Xianfeng, 67, lived in Louxikuang Village, Qixia City, Shandong Province. She went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong in 2000 and was arrested many times. She was detained and held in a brainwashing center. Her home was ransacked multiple times, including once only a couple of months before she died. The policemen from Miaohou Town Station were responsible. Under long-term high pressure, Ms. Lin Xianfeng died on April 28, 2006. Her mother-in-law, over 90 years old, passed out when policemen ransacked their home the last two times. She would not allow the police to arrest her kind daughter-in-law.
Practitioner Ms. Li Peiying, 73, lived in Yongshan Village, Xinqiao Town, Anhua County, Hunan Province. Before 2001, she was diagnosed with stomach cancer. On January 29, 2003, a practitioner introduced Falun Gong to her. She wanted to try it so her family members read Zhuan Falun to her. She soon miraculously recovered. She started to study the Fa, practice the exercises and clarify the truth. Her personal story substantiated Falun Gong and helped many of the world's people learn the truth about Falun Gong. In October 2005, she was reported when she was posting truth-clarifying materials. She was threatened, which caused her old sickness to return, and she died on December 24, 2005.
Practitioner Ms. An Yanzhi, 52, lived in Third Family Housing, Taoyuan Village, Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province. She went to Beijing to clarify the truth after July 20, 1999, and was arrested and detained by policemen from Taoyuan Station (Tel: 86-311-86850414). Since that time, officials continued to harass her, causing her to appear to be severely ill. She died on November 20, 2005.
He Xuejian's rape case is scheduled for trial at the Baoding Intermediary Court on May 15, 2006, but his victim, practitioner Liu Jizhi, is still illegally detained and under heavy surveillance in the Emergency Treatment Section of the Tunzhou Number 2 Rehabilitation Hospital. She received the notice from the Baoding Intermediary Court while she was detained.
2. [Zhuhai, Guangdong Province] Falun Gong Practitioners Mr. Zhou Meilin and Ms. Lu Pingyi Illegally Sentenced
Due to continuous police harassment, Mr. Zhou Meilin and Ms. Lu Pingyi were forced to leave their hometown and become homeless in 2004. In May 2005, the couple was arrested in Huizhou, Guangdong Province and detained at the Huicheng District Detention Center. Mr. Zhou was paralyzed from severe persecution. Recently the couple was illegally sentenced to eight years in prison. Mr. Zhou Meilin and Ms. Lu Pingyi have filed an appeal against the sentence. A relative is currently looking after their daughter.

Officers from the Tiexi District Police Station arrested Shenyang practitioner Mr. Li Zheng in December 2003. Currently he is illegally detained in Fushun Nanhuayuan Jail.

On April 25, 2006 police from the Jilin City Longtan District Xin'anjie Police Station illegally arrested Jilin practitioner Zhang Jun because she clarified the truth. Currently she is being held at the Jilin City Detention Center.
6. [Yanbian, Jilin Province] Bajiazi Practitioner Li Longchun Arrested
Ms. Li Longchun is a 42-year-old practitioner from Bajiazi Town, Helong City, Yanbian. At around 3 p.m. on the afternoon of May 8, 2006 police from Helong city arrested her. The officers scaled a wall and broke into her home, which they illegally ransacked. They took her laptop computer, laser printer, and some other supplies, and arrested Li Longchun.

The Policemen from Development District arrested Ms. Wang Zhonghui on April 28, 2006 while she distributed truth-clarifying materials.
8. [Qinhuangdao, Hebei Province] Practitioner Chang Lizhong Sent to Baoding Forced Labor Camp for Persecution
At around 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 11, 2006, officers of the National Security Group went to the local Hospital of Chinese Traditional Medicine, took Qinhuangdao practitioner Chang Lizhong by force, and sent him directly to Baoding City Labor Camp.
9. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Practitioner Liu Hanchun Arrested
Practitioner Mr. Liu Hanchun (61 years old, from Xincun, Nanshu Town, Laixi City, Qingdao, Shandong province) was arrested while going to distribute truth-clarifying material. Currently she is illegally detained at the Nanshu Town Police Station in Laixi City.

While they were distributing truth-clarifying material in Zhuzhuang Village in Wadian Town, someone reported Nanyang practitioners Ms. Pu Meisheng and Ms. Wei Yuzhen to the police, who arrested them and took them to the Wadian Town Police Station.
11. [Beijing City] Several Practitioners, Including Zhan Aipin, Are Still Illegally Detained
In February 2006, practitioner Ms. Zhan Aipin and another practitioner with the last name Chao and Chao's son were illegally arrested and detained in Haidian Detention Center. Later they were transferred to Beijing's Seventh Public Security Center for continued persecution, where they remain to this day. Ms. Zhan's husband committed suicide at home after being threatened by authorities.
12. [Weihai, Shandong Province] Gaoqu Practitioner He Shuxia Illegally Detained
On the morning of April 30, 2006 Ms. He Shuxia, a Falun Gong practitioner from Gaoqu, Weihai, Shandong Province, was working in her bakery. Unexpectedly, policemen from Gaoqu illegally arrested her. They also confiscated her Falun Gong books, telephone and the money from the store. Currently He Shuxia is being held in a detention center.
13. [Beijing City] Practitioner Chen Shuling Arrested
59-year-old Ms. Chen Shulin lives in Building 27, #601, Liujiayao Nanli, Beijing. Policemen arrested her from her home at dawn on February 28, 2006 (before People's Congress and The Political Consultation Conference). Her current whereabouts is unknown.

Practitioners Ms. Tao Wenhong, Ms. Tao Wenyan and Ms. He Wanru from Jiuyuan District, Baotou City, Inner Mongolia, who were arrested on December 25, 2005, face illegal court trial.

On Friday May 5, 2006, someone reported Shanghai practitioners Ms. Zhu, Ms. Chen, Ms. Liu and Ms. Ding to the police while they clarified the truth in a supermarket. They were illegally detained.
17. [Fuyang, Liaoning Province] Practitioner Sun Xianglian Illegally Detained and Home Ransacked
Practitioner Ms. Sun Xianglian of Xiangyang City is in her 60's, though she looks much younger. Her husband is an engineer. Both of them practice Falun Gong.
Sun Xianglian went to Beijing to appeal on behalf of Falun Gong in 2000. After her return, the family home was repeatedly ransacked, and she was arrested and taken to detention centers and brainwashing sessions on several occasions; she was also tailed and closely watched. She was denied her basic human rights.
On April 30, 2006 someone reported Sun Xianglian to the police because she clarified the truth. Her home was ransacked again and she was detained. Her family members are very upset.
18. [Liaoning Province] Wang Yanhua Became Ill Due to Persecution
Practitioner Ms. Wang Yanhua is from Dafuying Village, Batuying Town, Beipiao City, Liaoning Province. She's been sick in Chaoyang Xidayinzhi Forced Labor Camp for more than a month. However, officials at the labor camp not only refused to release her, but also demanded money from her family.
