  • Mr. Chen Jiansheng Killed by IV Drip Infused with Urine after Force-Feeding in Zaozihe Forced Labor Camp, Shaanxi Province

Mr. Chen Jiansheng, a Falun Gong practitioner from Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province, died on October 11, 2005 as a result of the torture he endured in Zaozihe Forced Labor Camp in Shaanxi Province. (Minghui.org/Clearwisdom.net reported his death in 2005 /emh/articles/2005/11/13/66813.html)

Mr. Chen Jiansheng was an employee at the Xi'an Branch of the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China and was commonly regarded as a very nice person at work. After he started practicing Falun Gong, his physical ailments were cured without the need for medical treatment. Since the persecution began in 1999, Mr. Chen had been publicly spreading the truth about Falun Gong. At the end of 2004, the police spotted and arrested him when he was distributing Falun Gong materials on Dongda Street in Xi'an. He was thrown into Zaozihe Forced Labor Camp where he suffered torture.

The following is the direct cause of Mr. Chen Jiansheng's death. In September 2005, Mr. Chen went on a hunger strike as a way of civil disobedience to protest the cruel tortures forced upon him. To punish him, prison guards, including Yang Jianbin, Yang Yalong, Zhang Weilong and Wang Jinlong, ordered prison inmates to escalate the torture of Mr. Chen.

They subjected him to the infamous "Death Bed torture" as well as the torture of force-feeding. The purpose of force-feeding is never to nourish the victim, but just the opposite. In fact, violence is always used in the process of force-feeding Falun Gong practitioners. In Mr. Chen's case, it caused profuse bleeding in his nose and mouth. The torturers force-fed Mr. Chen with salt water. In fact, it was so over-saturated with salt that there was still undissolved salt in the liquid. As a result, Mr. Chen's lips became dry and cracked and kept bleeding. He experienced intense stomachache and stomach burn. Mr. Chen was dying due to the torture, but he refused to give up his practice of Falun Gong. Finally, a drug addict named Gu Aimin added his urine to the IV, bound Mr. Chen to the Death Bed and administered the IV solution mixed with urine, which caused Mr. Chen to die in terrible agony.

In order to cover up their crimes, the prison guards and the involved prison inmates at Zaozihe Forced Labor Camp kept the death of Mr. Chen Jiansheng in high confidentiality. Although Mr. Chen's family traveled over 100 miles to see his body, the prison guards allowed his family only a quick glance at his face before they cremated him.

Mr. Deng Weijian from Sichuan Province Taken Directly to Brainwashing Center after Serving Four-Year Prison Term

November 21, 2006 was the date when Mr. Deng Weijian, a Falun Gong practitioner from Chengdu City, became free again. However, the 610 Office, the branch office of the Police Department, and the Xiaojiayuan Community in Qingbaijiang District took him to the Xinjin Brainwashing Center for continued persecution directly from the prison just because he said "Falun Dafa is good."

Mr. Deng was an employee of the branch plant of the original Sichuan Chemical and Mechanical Plant, now called the Nuclear Energy Company. The local authorities arrested and detained him many times for practicing Falun Gong.

Mr. Deng went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong in mid-November 1999, exercising his civilian appeal rights guaranteed by the Constitution. However, the branch office of Beijing Dongcheng District Police Department, the Procuratorate, and the Court persecuted him and detained him for four months. The branch office of the Police Department in Qingbaijiang District, Chengdu City unreasonably detained him for fifteen days right after his release from Beijing. His plant dismissed him because of this. Later on, the branch office of the Police Department in Qingbaijiang District detained him three more times, each for fifteen days.

Mr. Deng lost his source of income. At home, he has parents over eighty years of age. His mother is a peasant who does not have any income; his father has about four hundred yuan from a retirement pension. Mr. Deng had to make money by doing all sorts of odd jobs. All he earned was three hundred yuan to help the family. Later he got a job in Guanghan City. The Chengbei Police in Guanghan City arrested him on November 22, 2002. The Court in Guanghan City unjustly sentenced him to four years of imprisonment. He was taken to Deyang Prison at the end of 2003.

After he had served his term, however, the 610 Office, the branch office of the Police Department, and the Xiaojiayuan Community in Qingbaijiang District took him to the Xinjin Brainwashing Center for forceful brainwashing directly from Deyang Prison on November 21 under the excuse that Mr. Deng Weijian had not been "transformed."

Ms. Lu Zhongqin, 56, from Heilongjiang Province Recounts the Persecution She Suffered

My name is Lu Zhongqin and I am 56 years old. I live in Jixian County, Heilongjiang Province. I began to practice Falun Gong in 1994. Because of my belief in Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, I have been harassed and detained many times. My home was also ransacked and my phone tapped. Moreover, my family members were implicated and live in worry and fear. My 10-year-old granddaughter is even afraid at just the sight of police officers and police cars.

In 2000, just one day after New Year's Day, the police in Fulitun Town began their mass arrest of practitioners. Altogether, 28 practitioners were taken to the detention center, including elderly ladies in their sixties or seventies. As a result, dozens of families had a painful New Year holiday.

In order to awaken the local police and officials, I wrote and mailed letters to clarify the truth to them.

Policeman Zhang Jingliang brought three men with him when he came to my family-run restaurant to check my handwriting to determine if the letters sent to them clarifying the truth were from me. My home phone was tapped and I was monitored. I was asked to sign in with them every day. I refused, and the local police rushed to my restaurant to harass me. One policeman said, "If you don't listen to me, we'll arrest you guys." My whole family was made to live in fear and couldn't even sleep well.

Fuli Town Party Secretary Jin sat in my restaurant and wouldn't leave. He asked me to post a bond guaranteeing I wouldn't go to Beijing to appeal. Later they deceived me into going to the detention center and thus arrested me. They didn't show any legal documents. I wasn't released until several days later.

On July 13, 2000, two policemen from the Fuli Police Station broken into my restaurant again and arrested me. They asked me to sign a document saying I would give up cultivation but I refused. They then sent me to the detention center. This time I was detained for 24 days. They threatened and harassed my family. They didn't show any legal documents when taking me away and then charged me with disturbing social order and threatened to sentence me to five years of forced labor. Even today I can't understand how I could disturb the social order while doing business at my own restaurant.

From 1999 to now, my home phone has been constantly monitored. The local police and authorities have sent numerous people to harass my family and relatives. My cousin lives in Daxing County. The local police even faxed the Daxing Police Department on so-called "sensitive days" asking for information from my cousin, causing a great mental burden to my cousin and his family.

On November 7, 2005, a group of 7 or 8 people from the local 610 Office came to monitor me just opposite my home. At around 7:40 at night, they pounded on my door. I wasn't home at that time and my family refused to open the door. They threatened to pry it open. After they broke in, they turned my home upside down. My son's room was not spared either. They took away a computer, a Webcam, a speaker, an MP3 player, my ID card and other things. Geng Zhendong and Wu were among the group of people looting my house.

In order to avoid further persecution, I left home and am still wandering around as of today. When my granddaughter turned of school age, the local government refused to issue her residential card, so she couldn't attend school. They also forced my family to write "guarantee letters." My family had to use various connections and spend lots of money to get my granddaughter into school.

Senior Citizen Ms. Gao Longying's Hand Fractured by Policemen

On the afternoon of November 5, 2006, policemen knocked at the door of Falun Gong practitioner Gao Longying's home in Miyi, Sichuan Province. When Gao Longying did not open the door, they threatened to take the whole family away. Gao Longying's daughter opened the door, and seven or eight people barged in, with more waiting outside.

Yang Zihua, Zhou Lin, Li Xuesong, Liu Xingyun and Cui Longjin, the head of the local police station, came in. Zhou Lin slapped Gao Longying in the face as soon as he stepped in. After turning Gao Longying's home upside down, they took her away and confiscated a cassette of Falun Gong exercise music and a small picture of Master Li. At around 4 p.m., they sent Gao Longying to the Chengguan Police Station and interrogated her about where the machine for making truth-clarification materials was. Gao did not answer, so Zhou Lin, Yang Zihua, Li Xuesong, and other policemen continued to take turns interrogating her.

They hung Gao Longying up from a window. When they found that they could not get what they wanted from her, they hung her up even higher, until her feet were off the ground, and left her this way for half an hour. When Gao Longying shouted "Falun Dafa is good", the policemen gagged her and then let her down.

Later the police resumed the interrogation. Zhou Lin slapped Ms. Gao in the face when she refused to answer. However, Gao Longyin still did not say anything. Yang Zihua and another policeman said, "We will hang you up again if you do not give us answers."

They dragged her up and threw her into a table, and tried to hang her up again. Gao Longying resisted. One of the policemen made a one-inch break in a bone of her left hand, and one of her smaller bones in the hand suffered a compound fracture. At that time, Gao Longying shouted Master Li's name for help. The policemen let her down and discovered that her hand was really broken, so they sent her to a hospital. A doctor said that she definitely needed surgery but had to wait until the next day.

Gao Longying asked the policemen to inform her daughter, but they refused. The police arranged for two people to watch her. At about 2 a.m., Gao Longying asked for Master's Li's help and left the hospital. But since she did not have a place to stay, she went back home. She was detained again and sent to the hospital for surgery. From November 6 to November 18, four policemen watched Gao Longying constantly.
