  • New York: Exposing Torture Theme Song in Front of Radio City Music Hall

In the past week, Falun Gong practitioners have been holding an anti-torture exhibit in front of Radio City Music Hall in New York, telling New Yorkers the true nature of the "Same Song" to be staged at Radio City on the evening of January 23, 2006. That is, since the beginning of 2000 the Chinese Communist regime has been using the "Same Song" to psychologically persecute and brainwash Falun Gong practitioners. Behind the song hides numerous crimes and innumerable hardships and sufferings of tens of thousands of Falun Gong practitioners in mainland China.

Falun Gong practitioner Zhang Erping pointed out that the "Same Song" is the symbol for the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) psychological persecution of Falun Gong, and also the song used to cover up its atrocities. It is reported that the CCP once organized a large number of experts who used psychology to systematically study how to transform Falun Gong practitioners. "The Same Song" was one part of its systematic arrangement: First, repeatedly use various tortures until the person is completely psychologically broken, and then use this Torture Song to coerce the victim to sing, to declare their victory in brainwashing and reinforce the so-called "transformation effect." Common detainees in forced labor camps all know that whenever they heard this song, it meant that someone had succumbed to the guards and been "transformed" after suffering all kinds of torture.

Reenactment of torture methods exposes the persecution

Bloody Background of the Torture Song

Ms. Wang Huimin, who was successfully rescued to the US two months ago was art editor at Huacheng Publishing Company in Guangzhou. She told the people in New York at the press conference that under the brainwashing tactics, both physical torture and the Torture Song alternate in coercing a person, and his or her perception of good, evil, dignity, and the human will is destroyed and distorted. At Dongshan Brainwashing Class, one tactic that police guards often used was to repeatedly play this Torture Song at the highest volume in a closed room, to force practitioners to accept it. If you didn't sing, they would coerce you until you suffered a mental collapse. Wang Huimin almost collapsed after being forced to listen to this Torture Song being continuously played at the highest-volume.

Ms. Wang Huimin called for New Yorkers to recognize the wicked and bloody nature behind the Torture Song and resist the CCP's exporting this kind of atrocity to democratic countries.

For Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Chen Gang, who was once illegally imprisoned in Beijing Forced Labor Camp, the Torture Song is connected with a complete set of terror. He was once subjected to electric baton shock, and sleep deprivation for fifteen consecutive days, and as a result he became muddle-headed. The terror atmosphere pervasive in the air caused those who showed sympathy for him to persuade him to immediately surrender. Mr. Chen said that besides physical torture, the guards also observed and studied practitioners. When a certain Falun Gong practitioner felt too much mental pressure to endure, or showed cowardice, the guards would take the advantage to do what they wanted to him/her. Practitioners were required to sing the Torture Song repeatedly in forced labor camps. Later the 610 Office and labor camp system promoted their experience of using the Torture Song to brainwash Falun Gong practitioners. Mr. Chen Gang expressed that so long as you are Falun Gong practitioners, regardless of how you have been brainwashed, whether you have been deceived, hoodwinked or became mentally traumatized by them, or whether you succumbed after being tortured to the extent of being deformed, they would order all those who had been "transformed" to sing this Torture Song as a symbol of being "transformed."

    Torture Song Deceives Overseas Chinese

Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Li Weixun who just came to the US not long ago after going through hardships and trials told the public that when she heard the Torture Song was to be staged in New York, she was very shocked. In her memory, the Torture Song is an accompaniment for beating and sleep deprivation in forced labor camps. The prison guards often played this song when torturing practitioners. In Masanjia Forced Labor Camp where the persecution is the most severe, the guards ordered practitioners who had renounced their belief after going through all kinds of brutal tortures, to sing the song together with them to celebrate the "victory" of their violent transformation.

Li Weixun expressed that behind the Torture Song is blood and countless broken families. Behind the most malicious theme song is the CCP's evil specter. The CCP has allotted a huge amount of money to put on this show. The main aim is deceiving overseas Chinese who miss their hometowns and love their country, and to use this artistic performance supported by the evil specter to deceive the audience members who have not learned the truth about the persecution of Falun Gong, thus energizing the CCP, which is about to evaporate and is making a death struggle.

Li Weixun called for overseas Chinese to recognize the CCP's evil nature of harming people, and not to transfuse blood into the evil specter muddle-headedly. Singing with a demon, what good result it can reap?

Falun Gong Practitioners Create Case to Investigate CCTV and Sponsors for the Show

Five Falun Gong practitioners including Wang Huimin and Chen Gang filed a lawsuit on the morning of January 23 in the Southern District Court, of the Federal Court in New York, against CCTV and sponsors Meng Xin and Liu Zhiqiang, and the court subpoena was delivered to Meng Xin and Liu Zhiqiang by a professional deliverer in the US.

Lawyer Ms. Han expressed that Meng Xin and Liu Zhiqiang as the general director and producer for the "Same Song" show have been suspected of cooperating with the CCTV to deliberately make propaganda materials slandering Falun Gong practitioners. Their aim is to incite, help, stir up, discredit, order and instigate illegal detention, arbitrary arrest and severe physical and mental torture and brainwashing against Falun Gong practitioners. Since July 1999, when the CCP initiated a nationwide persecution campaign against Falun Gong, the Torture Song has become one of the main parts of the persecution against Falun Gong practitioners' beliefs, and a symbol for the CCP officials and guards to celebrate victory of their violent brainwashing, and has been promoted to all forced labor camps in mainland China by the 610 Office. The general director of the show Meng Xin, and producer Liu Zhiqiang, have tried hard to cooperate with this matter in complying with the requirements dictated by CCTV.

The plaintiff's lawyer Terri Marsh expressed that in terms of the persecution of Falun Gong, CCTV's Torture Song is the same as brutal torture, and is a key part in the brutal persecution in China. The show staged at Radio City Music Hall on January 23 is connected with CCTV's propaganda, torture and brainwashing.

According to the latest news, behind the show, that on the surface was hosted by the CCTV team and local Chinese associations in North America, is an important "political task" ordered by the 610 Office. Chinese Embassies in different countries fully cooperate with it as a chief political task. Their aim is to cooperate with the CCP to persecute Falun Gong and cover up their atrocities after the persecution, and deceive overseas Chinese people into approving its persecution of Falun Gong.

Exposing the True Nature of the Torture Song Show

From early morning to late evening on January 23, Falun Gong practitioners held banners around the Radio City Music Hall and delivered truth clarification materials. Several dozen banners in both Chinese and English read, "CCP uses the Same Song to persecute Falun Gong practitioners," "CCTV uses 'The Same Song' to spread hate and has been sued," "CCP uses 'The Same Song' to persecute Falun Gong Practitioners in Forced Labor Camps," "Be Sure to Never Sing for the Evil, Refuse to Sing Together with the Evil," " The Same Song is a Tool for the CCP to Mentally Rape People," and others, clearly telling all passersby the true evil nature of the Torture Song. At dusk, practitioners broadcast truth from a loudspeaker.

Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Chen said, "Someone asked me how much money I would be paid for delivering materials here, I told him that older people here all have retirement pension, some are American citizens, some have their own house properties, like me, and any other job would be more comfortable than standing in the cold wind for a whole day. Those who rushed here after work have their salaries, and they have to take care of their old and young at home. How much money could you pay to make sure they would stand here in the severe cold?"

Ms. Chen continued, saying, "What Falun Gong practitioners are doing here truly is to free compatriots from being deceived by lies and deceptions and being forced to muddle-headedly sing together with the evil, and use their precious lives to transfuse blood into the evil. Isn't it scary? I sincerely hope these compatriots will calmly think it over. In such a free country, we should be clear about our rights, cherish our lives, learn more about Falun Gong, and recognize right and wrong."

Thailand: Norway Opens Door to Eight Falun Gong Practitioners

At 9:00 p.m. on January 24, 2006, Thailand Falun Gong practitioners bid farewell to eight Falun Gong practitioners at Don Muang International Airport in Bangkok. With many people's numerous efforts and help of the United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR), Falun Gong practitioners who had been illegally detained by the Thai police at the behest of the Chinese Embassy, for protesting the violent rape of two women practitioners by a Chinese police officer in China, boarded a Northern European scheduled flight to Norway at 12:20 a.m. on January 25, 2006.

    Farewell at the airport

Representative for Falun Gong practitioners Mr. Li Jianhui told a reporter at the airport, "We came from the mainland China, and after going through all kinds of hardships, we arrived in Thailand. We want to expose to the international community the nearly seven-year persecution of Falun Gong inflicted by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) regime, and want to let the world see clearly the evil nature of the CCP and work together to stop the persecution. Among several of us, some practitioners were once illegally imprisoned by the CCP, and a practitioner was blinded in one eye from the guards' electric baton shock. The CCP's persecution of Falun Gong has led itself to head toward a dead end. Currently, the number of people who have announced their resignations from the CCP and its affiliated organizations is over seven million, and doomsday for the CCP is imminent. At this critical moment, we hope the Thai government will think over and recognize the situation, and not succumb to the CCP nor participate in the persecution."

In a letter to the Thai police, Falun Gong practitioners state, "Today, we are going to leave here. The Thai people's kindness and friendliness have deeply impressed us. It is pity that we were subjected to your unreasonable arrest and detention only because we peacefully protested the violent rape of women Falun Gong practitioners by a Chinese police officer in China in front of the Chinese Embassy. We believe that one day you will realize that what you have done is wrong. We sincerely hope that the Thai government can bravely face the CCP, resist the CCP's persecution of innocent people and take a stand on the righteous side."

Falun Gong practitioners in Thailand who came to see them off held banners reading "The World Needs Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance," "Falun Dafa is Good," and placards reading "Thank Norway for accepting Falun Gong practitioners." Practitioners read a farewell poem and sang together the song entitled "Falun Dafa is Great." Reporters from the Thailand Nation newspaper were also at the airport.

Accompanied by UNHCR officials, eight Falun Gong practitioners boarded the flight to Norway.
