  • Los Angeles: Practitioners Call on Argentina to Resist CCP's Export of Violence

On December 14, 2005, when Falun Gong practitioners were peacefully protesting the Chinese delegation headed by Luo Gan in front of Argentina's National Congress Building, the Chinese Embassy sent out assailants to attack them. The Argentine police at the scene did little to stop the assaults. In order to express their deep concern over the incident, on December 20, Falun Gong practitioners went to the Argentine Consulate in Los Angeles to peacefully protest and deliver a letter to the consul. The letter called for the Argentine government to not yield to pressure from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), and to uphold the just position of a democratic country. The vice-consul who received the practitioners expressed that he would convey the Falun Gong practitioners' request to his government to make sure that no such incident occurs in the future in Argentina.

Practitioners held banners and signs reading, "Argentina, bring criminals to justice," "Please help stop the persecution of Falun Gong in China," and "Do not help CCP persecute Falun Gong." Some people passing by took truth clarification materials and concerned, inquired of the practitioners as to what happened.

    Explaining the facts to passersby

Representatives for Falun Gong practitioners, including associate professor Wu Yingnian from the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) entered the Argentine consulate and delivered a letter of protest, a copy of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party and truth clarification materials about the Chinese Communist Party's persecution of Falun Gong to Vice-consul Mr. Fernando Brun. They had a friendly and candid conversation. Mr. Brun expressed that he had learned about the incident of Falun Gong practitioners being assaulted in Argentina, and he thoughtfully asked the state of injury of the practitioners who had been attacked.

Prof. Wu Yingnian told the vice-consul that Luo Gan is the head of China's 610 Office and his hands are stained with numerous people's blood. Luo not only murdered people inside China, but also exported violence outside China. Prof. Wu expressed hope that countries around the world will not be deceived by the superficial enticement of the Chinese economy. Currently, the CCP's human rights abuses are still very serious. The CCP still ruthlessly suppresses Falun Gong, underground Christian churches and other groups. Democratic countries should not take the CCP's acts of violence for granted.

After hearing the Falun Gong practitioners' explanation of the Chinese Communist regime's ruthless and senseless persecution, particularly after looking at photos of Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Gao Rongrong's disfigured face resulting from electric baton shocks by the police in Liaoning Province, Mr. Brun expressed his sympathy. He said that they have learned about the serious situation of religious persecution in China. He also said that he would convey Falun Gong practitioners' concerns to the Argentine Embassy in Washington, DC and the Argentine government, to make sure no similar incidents occur in the future. Mr. Brun said that Argentina had also experienced a turbulent period of time under the rule of an autocratic regime. Now, Argentina is a free and democratic country, and guarantees its citizens freedom and the right to religious belief. His government cannot allow the Chinese Communist regime to extend its violence to Argentina.

According to reports on the Minghui/Clearwisdom website, on December 14, 2005, when Falun Gong practitioners were peacefully protesting the Chinese delegation headed by Luo Gan, one of the chief persecutors, in front of Argentina's National Congress, the assailants sent out by Chinese Embassy violently beat them, and stole their banners and truth clarification display boards. The police at the scene did not stop the assaults, as they said they had orders from the top not to touch the Chinese assailants. On December 16, Falun Gong practitioners who had been assaulted and beaten filed a lawsuit through lawyer Alejandro Cowes against the assailants and the police officers who did little to stop the assaults.

Argentine Embassy Official Meets Petitioning Japanese Falun Dafa Practitioners

On December 19, 2005, several Falun Dafa practitioners from the Tokyo area petitioned the Argentinean Embassy. The embassy accepted a petition letter from the Japanese Falun Dafa Association to Ambassador Mr. Daniel A.D. POLSKI, along with materials introducing Falun Dafa and the persecution in China and the English and Japanese version of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party.

In the letter, the Japanese Falun Dafa Association asked the Ambassador to pass their request on to the Argentinean government, to investigate the incident on December 14 in which a group of thugs hired by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) assaulted Falun Gong practitioners. They also requested the government to investigate the reason why the police at the scene did little to stop the assaults.

Embassy official Carlos R. Rubio Reyna received the Falun Gong practitioners. The practitioners briefly introduced the incident of December 14 when Luo Gan, one of the Chinese officials directly responsible for persecuting Falun Gong, was visiting Argentina. A group of Chinese men hired by the Chinese Communist Party assaulted Falun Gong practitioners outside the National Congress building. Falun Gong practitioners worldwide were shocked to hear of the incident. The Argentinean police at the site didn't interfere and stop the assaults. It was said that they received orders from a high level not to do so. The practitioners introduced the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party to Mr. Rubio Reyna and emphasized the evil nature of the Communist Party and how it has extended the persecution of Falun Gong to countries overseas. If the government of Argentina cannot recognize the true nature of the CCP and goes along with them, it will have a bad effects on the future of the nation.

The embassy official said he knew about the persecution of Falun Gong in China and expressed regret for the incident. He stated that he would inform his government about the Japanese Falun Dafa practitioners' request. Finally, Mr. Rubio Reyna accompanied the practitioners outside the embassy and had a photo taken together with the petitioning practitioners.

The Republic of Korea: Practitioners Protest Thai Police's Assistance to Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in the Persecution

On the afternoon of December 20, 2005, practitioners in the Republic of Korea held a rally in front of the Thai Embassy and strongly protested the Thai government's unlawful arrest of local Falun Gong practitioners under pressure from the CCP.

Thai Embassy official accepts statement of Falun Dafa Association South Korea

After the exposure of policeman He Xuejian's raping women practitioners in Zhuozhou, Hebei Province, China, Thai practitioners have been protesting peacefully in front of the Chinese Embassy in Thailand since December 6, 2005 to expose the CCP police's atrocities and call on the international community to help end the 6-year-long brutal persecution of Falun Gong in China. The activity received wide support from local people and was covered by many media.

In the following days, Thai police intervened with the practitioners with the excuse of checking their identification. They forcefully searched practitioners' handbags, snatched banners and pulled the practitioners. The practitioners were physically injured and suffered financially to some degree.

On December 14, Thai police beat practitioners who were distributing truth-clarification literature in Pattaya, a renowned tourist city. On December 15, the Thai police arrested 8 practitioners in front of the Chinese Embassy. Six of them are still being detained at the Immigration Office. The officials in the Immigration Office have behaved badly and the practitioners being detained are holding a hunger strike. Among the practitioners being detained, two have children of 4 and 6 years old, respectively. The children were left unattended because of the unlawful detention.

Thai police and immigration officials agree that this incident happened because of the CCP's pressure. The CCP's embassy called Thai police to have the practitioners arrested. The Falun Dafa Association of South Korea pointed out that the whole world is condemning the CCP's brutal atrocities in the persecution of Falun Gong. But why do such incidents occur in Thailand. It is shameful for Thai Government.

Thus, the Falun Dafa Association of South Korea made the following solemn statements to the Thai Government and CCP regime:

    1. We Strongly protest the Thai police's unlawful actions.
    2. We demand the immediate release of practitioners being detained; and that those persons involved are brought to justice.
    3. Compensation for all practitioners' losses.
    4. We strongly request the Thai government and police to make security arrangements and prevent the occurrence of similar incidents.
    5. We demand that the CCP immediately stop the persecution of Falun Gong and its criminal activities that interfere with practitioners in other countries.

After reading the statements, a practitioner from the Falun Dafa Association of South Korea delivered it to the embassy, and it was accepted by an embassy official.

Sweden: Practitioners Call Upon Thai Government Not to Yield to CCP's Pressure

On December 19, 2005, representatives of the Swedish Falun Dafa Association handed a letter of protest to the Embassy of Thailand in Stockholm. The officer in the Thai Embassy had already learned about the persecution of Falun Gong two years ago when Swedish Falun Gong practitioner Pirjo Svensson was arrested in Bangkok for handing out Falun Gong truth clarification materials and later unreasonably deported. Today, the officer listened carefully about how Thai police harassed, beat and detained Falun Gong practitioners in Thailand on December 15, how a depraved policeman recently raped two women practitioners in China, and about the story of little Kaixin and her family. He expressed that he would convey the practitioners' requests to the related departments in Thailand. Practitioners have asked the Thai government to immediately release Falun Gong practitioners who are being detained at the immigration detention center, follow the United Nations' Refugee Law and the United Nations' Human Rights Convention to protect Falun Gong practitioners in Thailand from being persecuted by the Chinese Communist regime.

During the half-hour conversation with the practitioners, the Thai officer told us that though he works at the Thai Embassy, he does not agree with the Thai government's policy towards the Chinese government, which is based on economic benefits. He also expressed that he would read the English version of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, and said, "The regime in China won't give democracy to the people!"

During the week, Falun Gong practitioners plan to continue large-scale protests in front of the Thai Embassy in hopes that the Thai government will cease being an accomplice to the malevolent Chinese Communist Party. They are calling for the Thai government lay a good foundation for the country's beautiful future.

Turkey: Falun Gong Practitioners Tell Members of the National Assembly about the Persecution

In order to call on the Turkish government to pay attention to the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China, which has now lasted for six years, Turkish Falun Gong practitioners went to the Grand Turkish National Assembly on November 24, 2005. They visited three senior assembly members, Mr. Ali Er, Ali Oksal and Mesut Deger, who is a lawyer and a leading member of the Human Rights Committee of the assembly.

The practitioners showed the three assembly members photos and posters of Falun Gong practitioners cruelly tortured by the Chinese Communist regime in China. They told them that during this brutal persecution there have been over 2,700 verified deaths of Falun Gong practitioners and tens of thousands of others have been forcibly detained in forced labor camps or psychiatric hospitals. Moreover, tens of thousands of families have been broken up as practitioners were forced to leave their homes and become destitute and homeless. However, with the Chinese Communist regime's overwhelming cover-up and information censorship, many people still have no idea about the facts of the persecution.

The practitioners also briefly talked to them about Falun Gong's spread to seventy-eight countries. They showed the officials photocopies of the awards and recognitions granted to Falun Gong by many governments around the world.

Finally, the Falun Gong practitioners asked these three members of the assembly to call on the Turkish government to pay attention to the cruel persecution of Falun Gong and help put an end to this abuse of human conscience and morality.

The three assembly members attentively listened to the explanation given by the practitioners. They showed great concern and sympathy towards the persecuted Falun Gong practitioners in China. They also expressed their admiration for Falun Gong practitioners' steadfast perseverance in the face of persecution. Lawyer Mesut Deger indicated that they would try their best to call on the relevant authorities to pay attention to the persecution of Falun Gong in China. He said that the Turkish Human Rights Committee would also discuss the issues raised by practitioners as soon as possible and would keep the Falun Gong Association informed of the progress and results in this regard.

While the practitioners were talking to the assembly members, other practitioners distributed fliers to officials and other employees working in the assembly building. After reading the fliers, some took the initiative to ask practitioners about Falun Gong and the persecution in China. Practitioners patiently answered each question raised. Almost everyone who learned the facts about Falun Gong expressed their sympathy for Falun Gong and their anger over the persecution.

After becoming aware of the persecution, Mr. Cengiz Kaplan, a government official in Cankaya where the Grand Turkish National Assembly is located, expressed that he would work to include Falun Gong stories in a children's education magazine which is sponsored by the International Children's Foundation and that has a circulation of thirty thousand per month in that region. After listening to the explanation of the facts, lawyer Selcuk Sonmez, former secretary general of the Democratic Left Party (DSP), and his wife sincerely invited several practitioners to their place to teach them the Falun Gong exercises.

Sweden: Exposing the Persecution of Falun Gong and the CCP's Evil Nature

December 10th is the annual Nobel Peace Prize award day, and also International Human Rights Day. A rally to support six million Chinese people's withdrawal from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) was held on Mynttorget Square in the center of Stockholm.

Falun Gong practitioners were invited to participate in this activity. They hoped to help more people learn about the true nature of the CCP, so as to understand the evilness of the persecution of Falun Gong, which has lasted for over six years.

Mynttorget Square is very close to the city hall, near the Imperial Palace and Congress, and is a very popular place for shopping and sightseeing. At noon, large banners were displayed on the square, including banners reading, "Support for six million people withdrawing from the CCP," "No CCP and a New China," "Upholding human rights and dissolving the CCP." A photo exhibition was also placed on the square to expose the CCP's atrocities, the killing of innocent lives, and especially the brutal persecution of Falun Gong. These banners and photos elicited astonishment and concern on the part of the Swedish people and tourists. People stopped to view these pictures carefully and enquired about detailed information. They could not conceive that the CCP is still conducting the brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners.

Many people received the flier about quitting the CCP but still asked for the book, Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party. They said they would read it carefully.

After reading our display boards, a tourist from Mainland China took a photo of the banner reading, "Support for six million people withdrawing from the CCP," then asked for the special edition of The Epoch Times' Nine Commentaries. He put the Nine Commentaries on a bench to take another photo before putting it into his bag.

Another Chinese person said, after viewing the display boards, "The CCP is bad. Now the CCP is thoroughly corrupt, and the common people have no place to go. You must help them, let people know the truth and recognize the CCP's nature."

Several Chinese people passed by and said, after receiving the Nine Commentaries, that the CCP's deceitful tricks and brainwashing techniques are very successful. They said that everybody should read the Nine Commentaries to clear up their confused minds.

A middle-aged Swedish woman was very happy to obtain a Swedish version of the Nine Commentaries. She said, "We all know about the CCP's dictatorship and inhumanity, but I didn't know much about this brutal persecution of Falun Gong by the CCP and that the persecution has lasted for over six years. However, I am very clear about the CCP's nature. I believe all this is true." After learning that a policeman named He Xuejian recently raped two woman Falun Gong practitioners in front of another policeman, she shook her head sadly.

A while later, this woman returned and asked practitioners if she could get more Falun Gong truth-clarification materials, possibly in different languages. She said that she works in a university where there are many deceived people, especially many Chinese young people, and she wanted more people to know the truth and recognize the CCP's evil nature. Unfortunately there were not many materials left by then, so the practitioners promised to mail all versions of the materials to her. She gave her address to the practitioners and left satisfied.

At 3:00 p.m. when the rally finished, many people were still sitting on the benches located around the edge of the square, reading the Nine Commentaries and leaflets.
