  • Canada: Practitioners Read Falun Dafa Association Announcement in front of the Chinese Consulate in Calgary

At noon of November 4, 2005, Falun Gong practitioners held a rally in front of the Chinese Consulate in Calgary and read the Falun Dafa Association announcement, calling on the officials in the Consulate to abandon the evil path in assisting the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) to persecute Falun Gong and to choose to be good.

"It is now having difficulty sustaining the persecution. The final judgment of these evil criminals is imminent," states the announcement. Although the CCP regime's persecution of Falun Gong has become more covert, people are becoming clearer and clearer about the nature and brutality of this persecution. During the practitioners' rally, many vehicles passing by slowed down. Quite a number of drivers honked and some gave us a thumbs-up to express their support to Falun Gong.

"However, one of the purposes of intruding Falun Gong to the human society is to save people, including people in all social statuses. Even for those who have committed wrongdoings, there is still an opportunity for them to abandon the evil path and choose to be good," the announcement pointed out. Falun Gong practitioners once again held a rally outside the Chinese Consulate and read the announcement in hopes that Chinese Consulate officials will clearly understand the current situation and stop assisting the CCP regime to do evil. Practitioners called upon those officials to immediately stop participating in or assisting the CCP in the persecution of Falun Gong.

Practitioners placed the Falun Dafa Association announcement in an envelope and delivered it to the Chinese Consulate.

New Zealand: Practitioners Read Falun Dafa Association Announcement to Chinese Consulate

Falun Gong practitioners in Auckland, New Zealand read and delivered a Falun Dafa Association announcement to the Chinese Consulate General on the afternoon of Nov. 4, 2005.

Falun Gong practitioners read Falun Dafa Association announcement in front of the Chinese Consulate.

A Falun Gong practitioner put the announcement into the Chinese Consulate General's mailbox.

The practitioners read the Falun Dafa Association announcement at 4:30 pm. They contacted the consulate and tried to deliver the announcement to Consul General Ma Chongren. The Consulate employee refused to open the door under the excuse that it wasn't their work hour. Practitioners eventually put the announcement in the consulate's mailbox.

The Consulate General is located on Great South Road, a main road in Auckland. During the Falun Gong practitioners' activity, many cars honked to show their support and many drivers gave practitioners the thumbs-up.

The brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China has been going on for six years since it was launched on July 20, 1999. Falun Gong practitioners' peaceful and rational resistance to the persecution has been going on for six years as well. The main perpetrator and his followers have been sued internationally.

Even though the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has been strictly blocking information about the persecution, the total number of confirmed death cases has reached 2,778 according to the Minghui/Clearwisdom website. The practitioners and their families should be compensated for the crimes committed against them, and the persecutors should be brought to justice.

Falun Gong practitioners in New Zealand hope that those who work at embassies and consulates will give up their wrongdoing, stop getting involved in the persecution, convey a voice of justice to the high-level officials of the CCP and choose the right path at this historic moment.

Canada: Practitioners Inform the Government and Media about the Lawsuit against CCP Official Lin Yanzhi

On November 1, 2005, via peaceful appeal and press conference in Ottawa, practitioners informed the government and media that Lin Yanzhi is being sued in Toronto for his crimes in the persecution of Falun Gong. He is the Deputy Secretary of the Jilin Provincial Committee of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and actively persecutes practitioners in Jilin. After Lin was sued, he did not show up at public events during his trip to Canada.

Publicizing the crimes of CCP official Lin Yanzhi

Lin was the director of the Jilin Province 610 Office. In this position, Lin directed and was personally involved in "converting" practitioners with torture. According to the World Organization to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong (WOIPFG)'s investigation, when overseeing the progress of the "conversion of Falun Gong practitioners" at Siping City Forced Labor Camp, Lin threatened practitioners: "If you refuse to renounce Falun Gong after one year of detention, we will detain you for two years. If two years is not enough, then three years. If you refuse to convert (renounce Falun Gong) after three years of detention, we will detain you for ten years. In China, there are about 100,000 steadfast practitioners. China has 1.2 billion people, if these 100,000 refuse to convert, we can do anything to them--we can torture or kill them. One hundred thousand is just a small number for us. Even if we kill 2 million practitioners, the reign of our Communist Party won't be affected..."

On August 30, 2001 Lin visited the Songyuan City 610 Office and ordered police officers to drag practitioner Xin Guoqian out and beat him. After Xin was covered with injuries, Lin unlawfully ordered Xin Guoqian to be detained in a forced labor camp for a year.

As of September 2005, it has been verified that 322 practitioners have died as a result of persecution in Jilin, making it the 4th highest province in terms of deaths of practitioners.

Practitioner Ms. Gongyu Dai said that Lin directed torture of practitioners and that he was responsible for many crimes against practitioners.

Ms. Dai said, "We hope the Canadian people will know about Lin Yanzhi's crimes and will not let such CCP officials enter Canada. We suggest that the Canadian government keep track of and investigate CCP officials planning to travel overseas. If they are involved in the persecution of Falun Gong, they should not be invited to Canada."

Lin Yanzhi avoids public events during his trip to Canada

It was verified that Lin Yanzhi did not appear at public events after he was sued in Toronto.

Mr. Xun Li, Director of Falun Dafa Association of Canada, said at the press conference, "For six years, we have tried hard to awaken the perpetrators in the persecution of Falun Gong and have them stop the persecution. We hope that after the publication of the Falun Dafa Association announcement, CCP officials involved in the persecution will stop the persecution and correct their mistakes. They can write a regret letter to confess their wrongdoings. We will accept them on case by case basis."

Mr. Li said, "For those officials who are still involved in the persecution, we will take legal action to stop their entry to Canada. Once they enter Canada, we will sue them according to Canada's laws and international law."

Lin Yanzhi is the second high-level CCP official to be sued after the publication of the announcement. The other one is Huang Huahua, Governor of Guangdong Province, who was sued during his visit to Vancouver one week ago for instigating torture in the persecution of Falun Gong. On October 21, the second morning after Huang's arrival in Canada, he was served with a court summons.

In September, the Falun Dafa Association requested the Canadian government to deny the entry of two other CCP officials who participated in the persecution, Bo Xilai, Minister of Commerce and former governor of Liaoning Province, and Xia Deren, Deputy Governor of Liaoning Province. These two officials were thus unable to make their trip as scheduled.

United Kingdom: Introducing Falun Gong and Exposing the Persecution in York

On October 30th, practitioners from northern England got together in York, which is a famous tourist city in the U.K., to introduce Falun Gong and explain the facts about the persecution. York is not so big, but it has a long history that can be traced back to Roman times in 71 B.C.

People passing by stop to learn about Falun Gong and the persecution in China

Although it was raining, many passersby were stopped by pictures of the cruel persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in Mainland China. They stopped to read the captions on the posters and practitioners explained the background of the persecution to them. After learning that innocent Chinese people are being suppressed by the Chinese Communist Party simply because they practise meditation and other exercises, many people signed the petition one after another. Though all the petition letters were soaked by rain to differing degrees, which made it difficult for the passersby to sign their names on them from time to time, they still tried their best to sign their names as clearly as possible. Many of them also wished us good luck after signing the petition.

One after another, people sign the petition against the persecution

At 1 p.m., it stopped raining, and there were more and more people passing by. After viewing the display boards, a middle-aged lady, whose eyes were brimming with tears, asked a female practitioner how we wanted her to help. The practitioner told her that what we want is to put an end to this persecution by letting all of the world's people know about it.

Seeing a Chinese boy watching us for a long time, a practitioner approached him and handed him a leaflet. The boy said that he was anxious to know more about Falun Gong, and in the meantime, he was worried about China's stability and prosperity. To relieve his worries, a practitioner patiently told him that Falun Gong practitioners also support China's prosperity and stability. However, true prosperity and stability are different from the false impression of "a rotten interior beneath a fine exterior". Instead, they should be based on the principle of respecting morality and humanity. The Chinese Communist regime has relentlessly persecuted over one hundred million Falun Gong practitioners believing in "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance". What's even worse is that more than one hundred million family members of these persecuted Chinese people are also affected. As such an intensive scope of innocent people is persecuted and their basic human rights are deprived, how it could be possible for China to have prosperity and stability? Only after China stops the persecution and respects human rights and "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance", can it have true stability and longstanding development. The boy agreed with the practitioner's opinion.

After signing the petition, a middle-aged westerner told a practitioner that he lived in Hong Kong for about ten years, so he was aware that Falun Gong is something important. He often saw the activities held by practitioners in Hong Kong. Upon hearing that, practitioners deeply felt that all the practitioners around the world are working together like one body.

Before the activities were about to end, practitioners took a look at the petition and they were pleased to see that so many people signed their names to support justice.
