  • Taiwan: Photo Exhibition Introduces Falun Dafa in Schools, Hospitals and Libraries of Yilan

After the Photo Exhibition, "Falun Dafa Disciples Validating the Fa" was held in Huey Deng High School, National Yilan Business High School and National Lotung Industrial Vocational High School in early September, it moved to Yilan Hospital, Jiaoxi Village Library and Wujie Village Library in late September and early October. The exhibition concluded its journey successfully in Yilan and started in Miaoli County on Oct. 6. The goal is to display the exhibition in all twenty-one counties and cities of Taiwan.

Falun Dafa (Falun Gong) teaches practitioners to improve their morality and to put others' interest before their own. The five sets of exercises are easy to learn but have amazing health benefits. More than one hundred million people have benefited from Falun Gong since it was introduced thirteen years ago. However, former Chinese President Jiang Zemin and his regime launched a brutal persecution of Falun Gong in 1999. With the staged "self-immolation on Tiananmen Square," they spread lies about Falun Gong around the world. Falun Gong practitioners in China and overseas tell people about the persecution and awaken their conscience by displaying banners, holding rallies, candle-light vigils, anti-torture exhibitions, press conferences and art performances.

The photo exhibition is composed of three parts: Falun Dafa's Spread to More Than Seventy Countries; The Evil Persecution and Practitioners' Truth Clarification; People's Feedback and Awards Issued by Governments. One hundred and forty carefully selected photos capture precious historical moments to show the benefits of Falun Dafa, the difficult struggle against the persecution and practitioners' firm faith and unyielding spirit.

The following pictures were taken at several of the recent exhibition sites.

Finland: "I Want More People to Know About the Persecution Taking Place in China"

On September 24, 2005, a steady flow of tourists and passengers passed through the central train station in the Finnish capital, Helsinki. Falun Gong practitioners in Finland came once again to the train station to promote Falun Gong and tell people about the persecution against the practice in Mainland China. Meanwhile, they collected petition signatures to call for an immediate end to the brutal torture of Falun Gong practitioners, which has been going on for the past six years in China's prisons and forced labor camps.

    Signing to show support

When one practitioner finished demonstrating the fifth exercise and opened her eyes, she saw a western woman sitting across from her, staring at her. The practitioner told her, "At 2 p.m. every Sunday, there is a group practice and free exercise class in the park behind the central train station. You are welcome to join us if you like." The woman happily said that she would be there.

"I want to learn more about this"

A young man from India told the practitioners, "It's so good to see Falun Gong here. There are many Falun Gong practitioners in India. Both of my parents practice Falun Gong."

A member of a human rights organization learned details about the persecution of Falun Gong in Mainland China. Later, he interviewed a practitioner who had been persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in Mainland China for wanting to withdraw from the CCP during the 1989 Tiananmen Square massacre. He told the practitioner, "I will publish these facts about the persecution in the Finnish media. I want more people to know about what is happening in China." The practitioners thanked him for his righteous support.
