September 21, 1993 - "The People's Public Security News" published by the Ministry of Public Security of the People's Republic of China carried a report on Sep.21st, 1993 about the free health recovery treatment given by Mr. Li, Hongzhi himself and his students to representatives attending the Third National Outstanding JianyiYongwei (voluntarily combating criminal activities) Individuals Honoring Conference.

On Aug.25, 1993, the Third National Conference on Combating Criminal
Activities by the General Public and Honoring Outstanding JianyiYongwei
Individuals, which was co-sponsored by the Central Propaganda Ministry
and the Public Security Ministry, was held in Beijing. During the Conference,
at the invitation of the China JianyiYongwei Foundation and thanks to the
support from Secretary General Jian Zhang, deputy Secretary General Qian
Guan, and Director Dequan Fei of the China Qigong Science Research Society,
Mr.
Li, Hongzhi, the founder of Falun Gong paid a visit to the Conference
venue along with some of his students and offered free consultation and
treatment to the outstanding JianyiYongwei individuals. Attending the Conference
were representatives from 30 provinces and cities across the country, most
of whom got injured or disabled from fighting against criminals. After
the treatment, they unanimously agreed remarkable improvements had been
achieved, and the arrangement received wide approval. Some representatives
credited the event as a tangible benefit offered by the Conference. In
light of this, the China JianyiYongwei Foundation specially dispatched
thank-you letters to China Qigong Science Research Society, Fengtai District
branch of the Beijing Public Security Bureau and Mr. Li, Hongzhi.
On September 21, 1993, the People's Public Security News carried a report on the event with a picture taken by Li, Xiaojin, assistant Director of the Beijing Public Security Bureau. The report called on Falun Gong practitioners to actively contribute to the society while sticking to the virtues of the Falun Gong teachings. ............

On August 30, Mr. Li, Hongzhi (right), Chairperson of
China Falun Gong Research Society, along with a group of his students,
offered free health recovery treatment to representatives attending the
Third National Outstanding JianyiYongwei Individuals Honoring Conference.
Mr.
Li, Hongzhi said, "all national outstanding criminal-combating individuals
verified by the China JianyiYongwei Foundation are qualified to receive
free consultation from us."
