(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Zheng Shoujun, 45, lived in Niuxintuo Township, Liaozhong County (under Shenyang City). He started cultivating Falun Dafa in 1998, and he kept his faith after the persecution began in 1999. At the end of 2000, he went to Beijing to clarify the truth, but was arrested and sentenced to three years of forced labor. In order to force to him give up his faith, the guards at the Zhangshi Labor Camp in Shenyang City tortured him over a long period of time. In a photograph below he is seen demonstrating one of the cruel methods of torture called "Chicken with a twisted neck."
Mr. Zheng Shoujun demonstrated the torture he endured in 2004.
At around 7:30 a.m. on September 27, 2001, seven to eight brainwashing instructors tried to force Mr. Zheng to accept the brainwashing, but their efforts were in vain. Mr. Zheng was beaten mercilessly. He solemnly told the brainwashing perpetrators their actions were illegal. Mr. Zheng was then pushed down on the floor, and his foot was scratched by metal and bled profusely. He was then pushed under a metal table. Mr. Zheng's legs were attached to the floor 30o apart, then his neck was tied to his calves, and his upper body was then forcefully pressed down. Mr. Zheng was a very large man, weighing 200 pounds. His stomach was squeezed and his neck was pulled down to his ankles. His neck and feet were tied with a bed-sheet, resulting in his face and stomach touching the floor. Lastly, they tied his hands behind his back.
Mr. Zheng was kept in that position while his legs were repeatedly kicked. He was asked, "Do you still want to practice? If you do we could leave you tied up like this forever!" Mr. Zheng answered, "Even if my bones are crushed to pieces, I will still practice!" Mr. Zheng was in extreme pain, as if all the bones in his body were fractured, the tendons all broken, and as if ten thousands knives were cutting into his body. His clothes were soaked with sweat and this left a puddle of water on the floor. Mr. Zheng cried out loudly in pain, but none of the guards paid any attention because it was the guards who ordered the brainwashing personnel to torture him like this. After four hours he was released because the guards needed the space to eat lunch. Mr. Zheng was unable to move upon being released. His body stayed locked in that position, and he experienced extreme pain if any one touched him. These vicious torturers kicked him, pinched him, and beat him to cause injury to his upper body. The pain was so great that it almost caused him to lose consciousness. He could not walk for three months because his feet and legs were dislocated. The soles of his feet turned up, and his ankles would touched the floor first when he tried to walk.
Around October 2001, Management Office Deputy Chair Shi Fengyou, ordered prisoners to keep Mr. Zheng from sleeping. Instead he was forced to squat within the boundaries of one piece of tile on the floor. His head was then tied between his legs with rope and he was forced to stay in this miserable position for 5 hours. Mr. Zheng lost consciousness, his feet and legs were swollen and he could not walk. In February 2002, the Special Warden for the Torture of Falun Gong Practitioners, Song Baishun, gathered several prisoners from the Second Ward. The practitioners, including Mr. Zheng Shoujun, were beaten, deprived of sleep, and forced to squat for long periods of time. Mr. Zheng endured all sorts of torture, but never give up his faith. He was released in the spring of 2004, after an extended three month term of forced labor.
On March 1, 2005, Mr. Zheng was passing out truth clarifying discs, and was arrested by officers of the Hebei Police Station in Heping District, Shenyang City. He was transferred to the Heping District Detention Center on March 3, 2005, where he went on hunger strike to protest the persecution. He was released one week later, but while he was detained, he was restrained in the police station and injected with unknown drugs which caused him to appear sick.
At around 9 p.m. on February 16, 2006, Mr. Zheng was passing out materials in Panjiapu Township, and was arrested by the police. He was interrogated overnight by 610 Office Chair Feng Dongchang, Domestic Security Division Leader Li Wei, and Panjiapu Police Station Director Zhu Dezhen. He was imprisoned in the Liaozhong County Detention Center on February 17, 2006. There he was severely beaten on the head. Because the police and the guards blocked all information about his condition, he was not treated nor was his family allowed to visit or ask about his injuries. Mr. Zheng went on hunger strike and refused water to protest his brutal treatment.
For the past two years his family has been unable to learn anything about his condition. On August 18, 2008, the police from Shenyang City suddenly called his family, and asked them to go and see Mr. Zheng at the prison hospital. His family rushed to the hospital, only to see the dead body of Mr. Zheng. In fear of their crimes being exposed, the police secretly cremated Mr. Zheng's body at the Wenguantun crematorium.
From the time Mr. Zheng died of torture, until his body was cremated, the temporary home of his wife and daughter had many plainclothes police come and go. During this time it was impossible for anyone to get close to his family. The details of this crime have yet to be investigated.

(Clearwisdom.net) The "Judicial Enforcement Training Center" at Tiantanghe in Daxing District of Beijing claims to enforce courts judgments, but this is far from the truth. On December 5, 2001, I was illegally arrested without a warrant and taken to the Beijing Judicial Enforcement Training Center. I was imprisoned for fifteen months, cruelly tortured and had to undergo forced brainwashing. Several times I was near death from the torture.
I did not cooperate with them, as I knew that it was not wrong to remain steadfast in the belief that taught me to be a good person.
Before I was taken to the center, the police beat me with rubber batons in a secret interrogation room at the Beijing Police Bureau several times and detained me for one day. When I arrived at the center, I was thoroughly checked over by a doctor from the Beijing Tiantanghe Hospital to ascertain the extent of my injuries. The doctor said that I was badly bruised on my back and thighs from the beatings and that the center could not accept me. The doctor suggested that I be taken back to the Beijing Police Bureau. However, those in charge at the center ignored his recommendation and detained me in a cell at the center. I was monitored around the clock by military police. I was not given any privacy when I went to the restroom. I completely lost my personal freedom.
I knew clearly that the detention and beatings were illegal under existing Chinese law, so I went on a hunger strike in protest. On December 12, 2001, guards from the center sent in doctors from Tiantanghe Hospital to force-feed me. Several guards held me down on a wooden chair. Then, I was tied to a metal chair. Whenever I struggled, they beat me. Then they put a rubber tube through my nose and down my throat to my stomach.
The hose created a burning sensation in my nose. When the tube was pulled out, it was filled with blood. During one forced-feeding session, it took several tries to insert the tube. One guard said, "Don't you find it painful having the tube put to your stomach through your nose? We'll do this every day until you give in." I was forced-fed in this brutal way about 200 times during my detention at the center. I suffered tremendous pain, both mentally and physically.
The day after I arrived at the center, they began to brainwash me. Staff from the Nos. 2, 3 and 4 Teams from the Beijing Women's Forced Labor Camp and guards from the Brainwashing and Transformation Section of the center, around twelve people, took turns trying to brainwash me. I had to listen to lies, slander and attacks on Teacher and Falun Dafa for a long time. They also forced me to read similar materials and listen to tape recordings maligning Falun Gong. They repeatedly said, "Don't ever think about getting out of here, unless you are "transformed"."
In January 2003, guards from the No. 2 Team ordered inmates to stick paper slips with remarks slandering Teacher and Falun Dafa on the wall, or put them on the bed, floor. They stepped on these slips and cursed at Dafa.
In January 2002, when I had been on hunger strike for over 50 days, I was very weak. At about 8:00 p.m., six guards came into my cell. They made me stand for a long time, and they stepped on Teacher's portrait while badmouthing Teacher and Falun Dafa. Then, they proceeded to pour cold water over my head and opened the windows and doors to let the cold wind in. I was freezing and my teeth chattered. They deprived me of sleep until the third day, when I began to vomit blood. Finally they let me sleep again.
In April 2002, I had been on hunger strike for over 120 days. The medical staff checked my blood pressure and found that it was only between 40 and 70, and my heartbeat was weak. I was in a dangerous situation. However, I was not released, nor did they advise my family about my situation. Instead, they took me to the Beijing Police Hospital. They wanted to transfer responsibility to the hospital. When filling out documents, they claimed that I was a criminal detainee. Ten days later I was admitted to the hospital. After they learned that my physical condition had improved greatly, they took me back to the center.
In May 2002, I had been on a hunger strike for more than 150 days. I was extremely weak, and I was tied to a metal bed. The No. 4 team leader Li Jirong carried out brainwashing. Li ordered inmates to swear at me. She feared that I would shout "Falun Dafa is great," so she ordered inmates to tie a bath towel around my mouth tightly. Then she poured water on the bath towel while hitting my nose very hard, causing excruciating pain. I almost fainted. She laughed and said, "I am supplying you with water." Realizing that I was not going to give in, Li Jirong and a few inmates dragged me around. Then she tied my feet to the bed, which caused excruciating pain.
They tortured me for 9 months. In April 2002, when they realized that they could not break me, they put me on a steel bed. They handcuffed my hands to one side of the bed and my feet to the other side. Then, Li said: "I just don't believe that I can't break you. You can be assured that when you are released from this bed, you will be "transformed." If this does not happen, be prepared to die on this bed."
Guard Hu Zihui and a few police officers from the Domestic Security Brigade beat me. They kept slapping my face, punched my chest and kicked the upper part of my leg. I was tied to the metal bed around the clock, and they would not allow me to go to the bathroom. This form of torture is very brutal and causes excruciating pain. During the eight months that I was tied to that bed, I suffered mentally and physically. It was beyond description. Guard Hu Zihui often kicked practitioners. He yelled at me once, "You know who I am - I am the Devil!"
In December 2002, the center staff called for doctors from the Beijing City Tiantanghe Hospital to check me over. I was extremely weak, and I was near death. My limbs had atrophied. If I had been tied up longer, I would have been paralyzed. Only because the guards and authorities at the center were too afraid of accepting any responsibility for my death, I was finally released from the bed. I could barely stand and my limbs could not function for quite some time.
I was illegally detained for fifteen months, from December 5, 2001 to February 25, 2003. During that time, I demanded to appeal to the government and to hire an attorney. They denied my requests out of fear that their crimes would be exposed in the process.

1. Ms. Wang Xinyan, 30, a Falun Gong practitioner in Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province, was sentenced to three years of forced labor. She was force fed by the guards after she went on a hunger strike to protest the persecution, and her term was extended without cause. She was also physically abused and beaten because she insisted on doing the exercises. When she shouted, "Falun Dafa is good," she was pushed down to the ground and had her mouth covered.
2. Ms. Peng Chunxia, 30, from Shenzhen City, was not released after serving a three-year term in a forced labor camp. She was monitored by four criminals assigned by the guards. The criminal inmates tied her hands and feet and sealed her mouth even through the night. They beat her until she was covered with bruises. This was done whenever she shouted, "Falun Dafa is good," did the exercises, or sent righteous thoughts. The guards tied her up, saying that she had gone mad and that they were tying her up to protect other prisoners.
3. Ms. Feng Liping, 30, a practitioner in Shenzhen City, was sentenced to one year of forced labor, which was then extended by one month because she protested the persecution. During this time, she was physically abused and subjected to sleep deprivation, which made her very weak. When she fell ill, the guards accused her of pretending to be sick.
4. Ms. Ye Wei, 40, a practitioner in Shenzhen City, was sentenced three years of forced labor, and her term was extended by two months because she protested the persecution. She was also not allowed to take showers or go to the restroom when she needed to for one month because she refused to follow the camp regulations. Her family faced difficulties while they tried to visit her. She was secretly transferred to a brainwashing center the day she was released from the forced labor camp.
5. Ms. Liu Qiu, 40, a practitioner in Zhuhai City, was sentenced to one and a half years of forced labor, and then her term was extended by one month. She was still detained in the forced labor camp, where she was physically abused and subjected to sleep deprivation. When the criminal who monitored her reported to the guard that Ms. Liu was very weak, the guard said that the hospital would take care of it and not to worry about it.
6. Ms. Wang Xiaoyuan, 50, is a practitioner from the Doumen District in Zhuhai City. She had been in very good health, but when she was released after 19 months in the forced labor camp, she needed to be carried out by three people. It was reported that the guards tortured her brutally, including beating her and forcing her to stand in a fixed position for long periods of time, which led to her being unable to walk or take care of herself. However, the camp authorities still did not release her on medical parole. Instead, two criminals were designated to monitor her.
Ms. He Xueping, 30, another practitioner from the Doumen District in Zhuhai City; Ms. Hu Yating and Ms. Liang Shiqiong from Zhaoqing City; Ms. Zeng Binlan from Zhongshan City; and Ms. Chen Yufang, 50, from Meizhou City experienced similar persecution in the Guangdong Women's Forced Labor Camp.

He once grabbed a practitioner by her hair and pressed her head to the ground. Wang had criminals be violent toward practitioners, and also personally tortured practitioners. He forced them to remain standing in fixed poses for long periods of time, subjected them to sleep deprivation, and forced them to watch TV programs that slandered Dafa.
Every incoming practitioner is isolated in a room and subjected to violent brainwashing by two or three criminals. There are six teams in the Guangdong Provincial Women's Forced Labor Camp, and Team 3 was set aside for the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners.
(Clearwisdom.net) There have been numerous recent reports of the persecution of practitioners in China. The Chinese Communist government promised the world that they would improve human rights status in China for the Olympics. They didn't fulfill their promise; instead, they tightened their controls and increased the persecution and threats to Chinese citizens. The following incident is just one example.
On July 18, 2008, officers from the Dafengying Township Police Station, Justice Bureau and the township government illegally searched several practitioners' homes in Shenzhou City, Hebei Province. Led by the deputy chief officer of the township, Zhang Manzhen, Fu Guangyue (from Fujiazhuang Village, Dafengying Township) and police chief Ge Tiancong, groups of six or more government agents searched the homes of over one hundred practitioners.
At each home, the agents checked the rooftop for the presence of a satellite dish. Then they ransacked every room, looking for Falun Gong books or truth-clarification materials. If they found anything, they extorted money from the practitioner (fines of between 7,000 to 10,000 yuan). Practitioners unable to pay the fines were arrested. When the agents could not find any materials, they questioned practitioners as to whether they still practiced Falun Gong.
The agents also went to other cities to search practitioners' homes. Government agents drove to the practitioners' work places and forced them to to return to their homes. Only after these practitioners were subjected to extortion were they allowed to return to work. All practitioners were forced to turn in their Identification cards (ID) to the local police station. Additionally, the township officials required "key practitioners" to report to their villages' party committee office three times a day.
On July 28, the government agents launched a second round of searches of all practitioners' homes. They claimed that someone reported to the authorities that truth-clarification materials had been distributed.
Presently, the homes of over one hundred practitioners have been searched. At least one practitioner was arrested, and 6 others were victims of extortion.
During the Olympics, the Chinese government asked people to carry their ID cards with them whenever they left their homes. At the same time, the government took away practitioners' ID cards, so the practitioners were confined to their homes.

(Clearwisdom.net) At around 11:20 a.m. on August 4, 2008, more than ten policemen from Xinji Town Police Station of Sanhe City in Hebei Province and several more from the National Security Group of the Sanhe City Police Department arrested Falun Gong practitioner Liu Yonghong. They took him away, and later came back to ransack his home, confiscating printer ink cartridges and other personal items.
Liu Yonghong is now being detained in the Sanhe City Detention Center. His wife is being monitored and followed by police. She was forced into homelessness and her current whereabouts are unknown.
At around 8:30 a.m. on August 5, Liu Yonghong's daughter and son went to Xinji Town Police Station to visit their father. Instead of being allowed to see him, however, they were detained. When the daughter refused to cooperate with deputy chief Liu Qinglai, he threatened her. After that, she was sent to the National Security Group of the Sanhe City Police Department. Because no one could find a reason to hold her, she was released at around 6 p.m.
Policeman Zhang Zhenfeng threatened Liu Yonghong's son, saying that if he would not disclose the whereabouts of his mother, his sister would be detained for 10 days. After he was forced to sign some papers, he was released at around 5 p.m.
In the afternoon, Zhang Zhenfeng and policeman Wu Jianchao arrived at Liu Yonghong's former home. They demanded that his 84-year-old mother tell them the whereabouts of her son and daughter-in-law, though at the time, Liu Yonghong had been arrested already. After that, policeman Wu Jingchao regularly waited inside Liu Yonghong's home, hoping to arrest Liu Yonghong's wife and other Falun Gong practitioners who visited.

(Clearwisdom.net) Below is a partial report of the persecution of Falun Gong in Yueyang City, Hunan Province.
Domestic Security Division officers from the Lou District of Yueyang City, including Jiang Chao, Fu Wei, Tang Jianmin, and Liu Xiaoping, along with Xie Wei and several others from Jine Police Station in the same district, arrested Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Sun Pinghua. He is an employee of the Yueyang Nitrogen Fertilizer Factory. The arrest took place at work at 10:00 a.m. on March 18, 2008. They took him to the Dongting Hotel, where they interrogated him.
The next day they began torturing him, forcing his left arm over his shoulder and his right arm against his lower back. The police then applied a great deal of force to pull the two hands together and handcuffed them. They also beat him. Because he refused to renounce his belief, the police grabbed his left hand and suddenly jerked it upward, instantly tearing tendons and permanently disabling his left arm below the elbow. A transfer to the Yueyang City Detention Center followed, all the while denying him treatment.
Several months later Sun Pinghua was finally taken to the No. 1 People's Hospital. The diagnosis was a severe stress injury in the left elbow. If Sun does not recover within six months, he may need an amputation.
The police fabricated charges against Sun and submitted a document to the local Procuratorate, in an attempt to sentence him to prison. The case was rejected for lack of evidence. The police then sent him to the Xinkaipu Forced Labor Camp in Changsha City on August 12, 2008.
During this period, Sun's mother, who is in her seventies, visited almost all local government agencies, beseeching official after official on her son's behalf. She has still not seen him since the arrest. Her husband suffers from heart disease. The family has kept the information from him to protect his health.
Sun's wife and daughter saw him for the first time at the Xinkaipu Forced Labor Camp on August 18. His weight has dropped from 85 kg (187 lbs) to 50 kg (110 lbs), and his hollowed cheeks and pallid appearance were a mere shadow of his robust former self, rendering him nearly unrecognizable.
His mother was held outside of the meeting room because she forgot to bring her ID. The authorities ignored her pleas and wouldn't even let her stand in a far corner to look at her son from a distance.
Guards at the Xinkaipu Forced Labor Camp responsible for persecuting Falun Gong include Liu Xiongwen, Li Yue, Mao Wei, Hu Qifeng, Xiong Ying, He Jun, Wu Xiaofeng, Zeng Jiangang, Wu Biao, Luo Junhua, Wen Ruyi, Chen Dayong, Su Yi, Xiao Qiang, Zou Shixiong, Shi Meng, Duan Songhua, Chang Qing, Li Sujun, and Wu Bing.
Ms. Zhou Aimei, 62, is a Yueyang local who worked for the Kangshen Pharmaceutical Co. in the city. Jiang Chao, Tang Jianmin, Li Yonghui, and some others from the Lou District Police Department's Domestic Security Division arrested her at her home and confiscated all of her Falun Gong books on the evening of March 20, 2004. They interrogated her for five days at the Retired Cadres Hotel in Yueyang City. Her work unit later posted bail for her release.
Li and other officials from Jinpen Police Department in Yueyang City arrested Ms. Zhou again on June 1, 2004, and held her at Rongjiawan Detention Center in Yueyang County for one month. They extorted 400 yuan from her as a "food fee." In October 2006, four officials, including Li Qiliang and Zhao Wenhua from the Junshan District Police Department's Domestic Security Division, and Ji Guanyi from Yueyang City Police Department Domestic Security Division, took part in yet another arrest. After 13 hours of interrogation, they took her to the Hubin Custody Center and detained her there for 15 days.
Someone reported Ms. Zhou on May 31, 2008, as she was exposing lies hatched against Falun Gong to members of the public in Sanjiaoxian, the Lou District. Four officers from Luxianting Police Station in the Lou District arrested her and interrogated her for six hours and subsequently held her at the Hubin Custody Center for ten days.
Ms. Wang Taoying, 72, a Yueyang local, was diagnosed with terminal-stage stomach cancer in 1997. The doctor told her that she had three months to live. She began practicing Falun Gong when all other options had been exhausted. Miraculously, the tumor disappeared and her health was restored after two months. She went to Beijing to appeal for justice for Falun Gong on December 21, 1999. The police intercepted her at the Beijing Train Station and arrested her because she refused to curse Falun Gong's founder. They held her in a basement on Changhou Street in Beijing for four days and confiscated 300 yuan in cash that she carried with her, before they compelled officials from her workplace to take her back.
Her bosses withheld about 1,000 yuan of her salary in retaliation. Four officials from the Jine Police Station in the Lou District, including Ouyang Hua and Jiang Zejun, arrested her at her home in January 2001 and held her at Yueyang City Detention Center for more than three months. They extorted 1,000 yuan from her as a "ransom fee," in addition to a 1,200 yuan "food fee." While in detention, guard Huang Jiao slapped her face, and the officials force-fed her.
Six officials, including Ouyang Hua, Jiang Zejun, and Song from the Jine Police Station, along with Ju Zhi and Zhao Wenhua from the Junshan District Domestic Security Division, arrested her at home yet again in May 2001. They incarcerated her at Yueyang City Detention Center for more than three months until she developed symptoms of a critical illness. Her family took her home on a stretcher after being extorted out of 1,000 yuan. Eight officials, including Ouyang Hua, Jiang Zejun, Song from the Jine Police Station and Yu Zhihe, Zhao Wenhua and Li Qiliang from the Junshan District Domestic Security Division, arrested her at home in October 2001 and held her at the Rongjiawan Detention Center for 41 days.
Ms. Guo Shujie, 51, a factory worker and a Yueyang local, left home for Beijing to petition for Falun Gong on December 26, 2000. Plainclothes agents arrested her in Wuhan. Xiao Xiaofan and several others from the Yuehua Police Department took her back to Yuehua and interrogated her for three days, followed by a three-month incarceration at the Changling Detention Center. After that, she was subjected to 14 days of nonstop propaganda sessions at the Yuehua Brainwashing Center. She was extorted out of 3,120 yuan, 300 yuan of which was paid in Wuhan and 2,820 yuan in Yuehua.
Ms. Liu Yuelan, 61, persevered in her belief in Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and went to Beijing in early 2000. The police arrested her in Tiananmen Square and held her in a Beijing detention facility for four days. Officials from the Luowang Police Station picked her up and took her back to Yueyang, where they immediately put her into the Yueyang Women's Labor Camp for two months. During this time they savagely force-fed her with complete disregard for her life and well being. They released her only when she was near death.
Tang Jianmin from the Lou District Domestic Security Division, Yan from Jine Police Station, and several others arrested her at her home on January 21, 2003. They ransacked the residence and took some Falun Gong books and pictures depicting Falun Gong's founder. They interrogated her for 24 hours at the Ruifeng Hotel and held her at the Yueyang City Detention Center for more than four months. They force-fed her and tortured her until she was blind in her right eye. They also extorted 1,400 yuan from her for "living expenses."
Ms. Wu Lanying, 70, and her husband Huang Yingduan, 75, went to the city Office of Appeals on December 22, 1999, to explain to the authorities the benefits they experienced from Falun Gong practice. They were told to sit and wait. Little did they know that in the meantime, petition officials phoned the police and their employers. The couple refused to cooperate with any of the officials and went back home. However, several officers from Wuli Police Station in the Lou District and three officials from the Highway Bureau broke into their home minutes after they stepped in the door. (Clearwisdom.net) Since July 20, 1999, CCP authorities in Handan City, Hebei Province, have launched a brutal persecution against Falun Gong practitioners, which led to more than 30 deaths and many more practitioners being persecuted to disability, sentenced to jail or forced labor camp, as well as being sent to detention centers. In addition, many of their family members were also victimized by the persecution, losing their jobs or having to discontinue their studies.
Since early this year, Cao Zhixia, the director of Handan's 610 Office; Zhou Gaojiang, Handan's CCP secretary of Political & Law Committee; Li Guihong, the director of Handan Police Department; Wang Hongqin, deputy director of Handan Police Department; Lu Ming; Bai Hongyin; Jiang Dongfu; Wang Jun; Zhang Zhenhai; Guo Yunxin; and Shi Baozhong, as well as the head of Handan's National Security Team Dong Dongli; commissar Wang Junyue; deputy chiefs Jin Yubin and Shao Bingwei; and Li Liang, Li Zengbao, and Qi Yafang from the Internet Monitoring Team have persecuted practitioners, using the "the security of the Olympic games" as an excuse.
Mr. Wang Zhiwu had already completed his three-year term of forced labor in March 2008, but the labor camp authorities did not release him. Mr. Wang's family went to the forced labor to ask for his release, but the camp authorities lied , saying that he was already sent home. So the family went to the local police station, where officials there said that they did not know anything. The family thought they might find some clues at the police sub-bureau. While there, they were sent over to the 610 Office. However, Mr. Wang's family failed to find any person in charge of the 610 Office. They finally learned that the forced labor camp had failed to "transform" Wang Zhiwu, so the Handan Police Department 610 Office transfered him to a brainwashing center directly across from the forced labor camp. His family does not know where or how he is.
In late March 2007, officials including Dong Dongli, the head of Handan's National Security Bureau; Wang Junyue, a commissar; Li Zengbao, the head of Handan's Internet Censorship Group; Qi Yafeng, a commissar; Zhang Chunsheng, the head of a Web-monitoring Section; Wand Leiming, the director of Liuyuan Police Station; and Duan Dongmei, the political instructor, took Ms. Hou Haiping away and searched her home. Ms. Hou had just assumed the directorship of a local office of the Bank of China before her arrest. Now she is in Handan's No. 2 Detention Center.
At about 7:00 a.m. on March 21, 2008, police from Hanshan District in Handan City broke into practitioner Ms. Jiao Shuzhen's house and confiscated a computer, printer, and other personal belongings, as well as her electric bicycles, and took her to Handan's No.2 Detention Center. It was said that her case was transferred to Handan's Prosecutor.
Mr. Qin Zhongke, 65, a retired senior engineer from Handan's Steel Group, was taken away along with his wife by officers from Luochengtou Police Station of Handan City, and their TV, DVD player, computer, printer, and 80 yuan in cash were confiscated. Mr. Qin's wife is now home, but Mr. Qin Zhongke is still in Handan's No.1 Detention Center.
(Clearwisdom.net) There are two mysterious facilities in the Daxing District, which is located in the southern part of Beijing. There is a lot of farmland in the Daxing District, with many elaborate gardens. There are castles near some of these gardens. Many visitors went to Beijing during the Olympic Games. If any foreign journalist or tourist is interested in these places, please go take a look.
Those grand gates look like the Arc de Triomphe in Paris or that of a luxurious hotel. Red tiles and walls can be seen behind some of the high walls. There is electrified wire on the tops of these high walls. They are two facilities that serve as prisons and forced labor camps.

What other country has such extensive facilities for detaining people in its capital city? Moreover, we have not counted the detention centers and prisons that are scattered throughout other districts and counties in Beijing. What do you think? Is it worth visiting? Let's take a general view via Google Earth.

Prisoners from outside of Beijing but sentenced in Beijing and many Falun Gong practitioners that were "illegally sentenced" are imprisoned here. They will be dispatched to prisons throughout the country. The office area is in the south, while the agricultural field where the prisoners labor is to the north.
Prisoners work inside the buildings. The small yard in the lower left hand corner is a place that people will want to avoid by all means.

| ![]() Beijing Women's Prison, new prison area |
In the past, the women's prison in Beijing was confined only to a small block located in the south, where there are gray castles as well as the office area in the west. However, with the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong, this women's prison was expanded. Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Dong Cui was beaten to death there. Ms. Xu Na, wife of Mr. Yu Zhou, a musician and practitioner who died just months before the Olympic Games, was also severely tortured there.
Beijing City Prison
The Beijing Prison was known as the "South Building" because its prison area is a soldier's camp called "South Building" before the CCP came into power. At that time, there was only one three-story building in the entire Daxing area. This unique building was turned into a prison.

| ![]() Dispatch Center, prison area |
Don't be deceived by the spacious garden outside the office area and the beautiful gate. Located here is the notorious Beijing Forced Labor Dispatch Center. Almost all of the forced laborers in Beijing, most of whom are Falun Gong practitioners that have been illegally arrested, are sent here from detention centers in different districts of Beijing. In time they will be sent to the Beijing Forced Labor Camp or labor camps in other provinces.
This place is sometimes called "hell on earth" not only because of the hard labor and the strict rules, but more importantly, because of the isolation and cruel tortures that take place all the time. The path beside the middle of the square is where many people were forced to squat down with their hands on their heads for the first time. Many were shocked with electric batons and dragged over the ground just because they refused to squat.
The semi-circular yard hidden behind the building to the far left is the training center. Informants have reported that after the persecution and torture of Falun Gong practitioners in the training center in Tuanhe Forced Labor Camp were exposed to the world, many firm practitioners were transferred here.
![]() Tuanhe Forced Labor Camp |
![]() Tuanhe Forced Labor Camp, prison area |
Tuanhe Forced Labor Camp, which is located due west of the Dispatch Center, is where male Falun Gong practitioners are detained. The big garden to the south of the road is the office area, while the prison area is north of the road. They set aside the grassy area in the front yard of the prison to be like a zoo. However, they are no less cruel just because there are birds in the yard. Mr. Peng Junguang, a practitioner from Huairou, Beijing, was beaten to death here.
There are fewer women criminals than men. That's why the formerly named Tiantanghe Forced Labor Camp, the women's labor camp, was so small. The "L" shaped house with a small yard in the northeast corner of the camp is the training center. During the first two years of the persecution, the police used electrical wire to bind female practitioners together and then shocked them with a generator. The practitioners soon developed blisters all over their bodies.
After the CCP started persecuting Falun Gong, many practitioners who refused to give up the practice were sentenced to a forced labor camp. At least half were female. Tiantanghe Forced Labor Camp was soon full. The women's forced labor camp has changed its address several times.
After the women's labor camp moved in 2001, the old facility was used as a legal training center. In earlier days it was used as a brainwashing center. Groups of practitioners were brainwashed and tortured there. Later, it was turned into a secret concentration center. Falun Gong practitioners, Buddhist monks, and Christians were detained there secretly. As far as outsiders were concerned, the detained people were missing. Nobody knows how many people have been tortured to death here. In 2003, this concentration center was expanded to the north.
Xin'an Forced Labor Camp used to hold male drug abusers. After Tiantanghe Labor Camp was full, the male forced laborers were sent to Northeast China. Then it became another place to torture female Falun Gong practitioners. The women's prison is located in the south, across the road. However, after 2003, Xin'an Labor Camp was too small to hold all the Falun Gong practitioners who were sentenced to forced labor there. The women's labor camp was therefore expanded. It moved again to a newly-built labor camp. What you see here is also an expanded building after the women's labor camp was moved.
The small yard with a door in the southwest corner remains unchanged. That is the training center, where the police tortured female Falun Gong practitioners by means of small metal cages, electric batons, motorcycles, and other devices.

This group of buildings is the notorious Beijing Women's Forced Labor Camp. Ms. Wu Junying, a practitioner, was beaten to death when she was detained in this labor camp for the second time.
About 85 percent of the detainees in the Beijing Women's Forced Labor Camp are Falun Gong practitioners. There are three prison buildings, and each has three floors. One group of forced laborers, about 120 people, is detained on each floor.
The ¼ arc building hidden behind of the buildings in the east is the training center. It was here that Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Zhang Lianying was beaten into a coma and had her skull cracked.
Beijing Juvenile Detention Facility
The Juvenile Detention Facility is located due south of the Forced Labor Dispatch Center. Child workers are used in many Chinese factories. In Chinese forced labor camps, inmates are forced to do slave labor. Those detained in the Juvenile Detention Facility are forced to do such labor.
Chongwen Detention Center
The Chongwen Detention Center is one of the many detention centers in Beijing. Ms. Xu Na, wife of Mr. Yu Zhou, is now detained here.

(Clearwisdom.net) A "Solemn Declaration" is a person's public statement to the world that whatever he or she has done or said under duress or deception that was against Falun Dafa is null and void. These statements have come from Falun Dafa practitioners in China who wish to express regret that, in the face of physical torture and brainwashing, they signed documents renouncing Dafa and guaranteeing not to practice again. Now, they hereby declare their intention to resume practicing Falun Dafa.
Here are some examples of the Solemn Declarations:

(Clearwisdom.net) Chinese officials did not approve a single application for a protest permit during the recent Olympics despite having established three official "protest zones." Instead, people that had applied for permits were arrested and deported (in the case of most foreigners), or simply disappeared. According to reports by the BBC, Wu Dianyuan and Wang Xiuying, two women in their 70s, filed applications to protest being evicted from their homes. Instead of being allowed to protest, they were arrested and sentenced to one year of "re-education through labor." Official reports later claimed that their sentences were rescinded, the result of official attempts at damage control in the wake of an overwhelmingly negative international response.
Mounting evidence shows the Communist regime uses the labor re-education system as a tool to crack down on anyone that expresses dissatisfaction with the government. Human rights groups in China who have long expressed concerns over the laogai system and its abusive and unchecked power. The system can be traced back to the "Decision Regarding the Issue of Re-education Through Labor" published by the State Department in 1957, stating that its function is to "reform" the minds of detainees through "mandatory labor" (translation: forced labor or slave labor) and "political ideological work" (translation: brainwashing). The Chinese Communist Party secretly brainwashes and tortures Falun Gong practitioners, members of any unofficially sanctioned religious group, civil rights activists, lawyers and dissidents in these so-called "re-education through labor" camps under cover of this "law."
Falun Gong exposed the labor re-education system for what it truly is--a mechanism that operates under a thin veneer of legitimacy but which in fact, is against the law, hiding behind its own twisted and arbitrary interpretation of the law and it's ability to arbitrarily send innocent people to the camps without trial or representation from a lawyer.
Many other buildings and campuses all over China are labeled as "Legal Education Schools," places where criminals are allegedly "educated, and their hearts and minds touched by the warm and tender care of Party officials," while in fact it is widely known that these places are nothing more than torture and brainwashing centers where no method is spared in attempts to make Falun Gong practitioners recant their beliefs.
Police can send anyone directly to a labor camp without a trial, or even without filing any charges. Many labor camp detainees are Falun Gong practitioners because the forced labor camp system offers Chinese authorities the easiest and most convenient way to persecute people who have not committed any crime.
Former Chinese president Jiang Zemin ordered the country's police to "annihilate [Falun Gong] physically, bankrupt them financially, ruin their reputation." He told officials that if they "beat [Falun Gong practitioners] to death, count it as suicide; do not identify the body and cremate it promptly." Hence 3,175 Falun Gong practitioners are confirmed dead as a direct result of persecution. Millions of others have been shocked with electric electric batons and undergone round-the-clock brainwashing sessions in that dark abyss of the "re-education through labor" camps. And it continues to this day.
Some types of torture that are typical inside labor camps include being kept in handcuffs and shackles, being back-cuffed, being restrained in interconnected cuffs [handcuffs and shackles are locked together so one cannot move], all for prolonged periods of time; being subjected to water dungeons or the feces pool, the Death Bed, the Tiger Bench, squatting in place, being tied with ropes, having nails or needles hammered into one's fingertips, pinching the flesh with pliers, pulling off the nails with pliers, dripping acid into the nostrils, force-feeding hunger strikers with hot-pepper water, salt water, drugs and feces, inserting thick plastic tubes into the victim's stomach through the nostrils, pouring cold water over the head, stripping the victim naked and throwing them out into the snow or sweltering heat, forbidding restroom use, sexual abuse including throwing women into cells filled with male inmates, rape, forced abortion, psychiatric abuse including the injection of potent drugs that damage the nervous system and the use of electric needles, encouraging criminal inmates to attack Falun Gong practitioners by rewarding them with sentence reductions.
In an article entitled, "Issue in China: Many in Jails Without Trial" published in May 2005 in the New York Times, author Jim Yardley calls Chinese labor camps places that "still remains outside the law." Only heaven knows what horrors take place inside those high walls, with so many atrocities being disguised as "re-education through labor." Hopefully, people around the world will pay attention to this monstrous system, so that together we can end the brutal persecution of Falun Gong and restore justice to those who've been so long denied it.
(Clearwisdom.net) On August 31, 2008, the Toronto Branch of the Tianti Bookstore was launched in the Luohu shopping center in busy central Chinatown. The bookstore primarily carries Falun Dafa books, audio and video materials. It is the second bookstore to only carry Falun Dafa books since the first one was launched in New Jersey in April 2007.

Celebration for the opening ceremony
Large posters in both Chinese and English were hung outside the windows of the bookstore. The large signboard with golden words on a blue background was eye-catching. The inside of the bookstore is sparsely decorated. Falun Dafa founder Master Li's series of books, audio and video materials in different languages are arranged on the bookshelves. Many people gathered inside and outside the bookstore to celebrate the grand opening.
Ms. Kerry, who used to work in a foreign-owned enterprise in China, was moved by the bookstore's opening. She said, "Before the CCP initiated the persecution of Falun Gong in July 1997, bookstores and stalls carried Falun Gong books. In January 1996, Zhuan Falun was listed as one of the ten best sellers by Beijing Youth Daily."
"Once I went to a small book stall near a university to buy books. The stall owner was an old man who raised his grandson with the little income he made from selling books. When I paid him according to the price printed on the book, he returned some money to me. Seeing that I was reluctant to accept it, he said, 'I read the book Zhuan Falun though I am not a practitioner. I know this is a book that teaches people to be good. When one more person reads it and practices Falun Gong, there will be one more good person in the world. Thus I don't make money by selling Falun Gong books. I just sell the books for the exact cost I paid for them."

Mr. Li Liangmo gave a welcoming speech as the host of the art exhibition. He said he wanted to encourage students to visit the exhibition and wished the spirit of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance would take root in Pingtung Senior High.
President Liu Qingzhong of National Pingtung University of Education praised the touring art exhibition for promoting the truth of universal values.
Pingtung County Council Member Li Shibin started his speech with "Falun Dafa is great!" He said only great artists could create great artwork. The art exhibition would certainly awake more people in the East and the West and make them cast aside the evil.
Ms. Chen Meiqiong, representative of Pingtung citizens, had heard about the persecution a long time ago. She was touched by three pieces of artwork and deeply saddened by the painting "Homeless", which showed a little girl in tears after losing her family in the persecution.
The exhibition is composed of more than forty pieces of art by a dozen Falun Gong practitioners. Their lively and heart-warming artwork displays splendid realms, both in heaven and on earth. The universal value of their artwork lies in its timeless beauty and inner meaning, which purifies the heart and lifts the spirit.
(Clearwisdom.net) For quite some time I did not understand the Fa principle of "being taken advantage of by the old forces". In some serious situations I could not keep my righteous belief in Falun Dafa. I always thought that if Dafa is as solid as diamond, then how could it be that the old forces can take advantage of us? If this is the case, didn't it mean that the old forces were very capable? One way or the other, however, it's always the practitioners who are wrong. For example, when we had too much admiration for a particular practitioner, the old forces would cause this practitioner to be persecuted or get into trouble. When we held that a practitioner who was arrested had loopholes, the old forces would redouble its persecution of that practitioner. If we looked towards an everyday person to help stop the persecution, the old forces would turn them against Dafa, rather than let them play a positive role. When we hold anger and resentment towards those who badly beat practitioners, the old forces make that person even worse in an effort to eliminate him. There are so many examples like that.
I was puzzled by these questions for a long time. Today, while studying the Fa, I asked Teacher these questions in my mind. Teacher answered me by saying that I should study the Fa a lot. All of a sudden, I thought of the Fa Teacher taught us in Zhuan Falun about the person who cultivated into an Arhat after much difficulty. When he became excited he failed and had to start over. When he became fearful, he failed again. This Fa helped me understand the differences between a human being and a divine being. A divine being would have no human thought. Were the examples that I gave earlier of human thoughts or divine thoughts? They were absolutely human. The old forces do not really care what thoughts we have. As long as they are human thoughts, they latch onto them and will not let go, since their purpose is to ruin sentient beings, including practitioners.
Looking back, I felt very ashamed. It is not that the Fa is too weak. It was us who failed to think from the perspective of the Fa, and it was us who were not doing well. The reason Teacher did not intervene was because Teacher would not protect the human thoughts that we must abandon. If we could think from the perspective of the Fa, do the three things well and harmonize everything to save more sentient beings, then we would have no human thoughts like the ones I mentioned. That would leave no loopholes for the old forces to take advantage of.
The so-called "sensitive days", "Olympics" and the "political bureau has formed..." were the subjects on which we would easily focus our human thoughts. As for the so-called sensitive days, some practitioners intended to use the time to make an all-out effort to do something. This was actually a human thought of competitiveness. Other practitioners would be worried and hide at home. This was also a human thought of acknowledging the persecution.
The repeated lessons and suffering should make it possible for us to become more mature. If we can stick to saving the sentient beings, ignore everything else no matter what, and do a good job on the three things, then everything will proceed towards Consummation. We must shift from being passive to active and look for the loopholes that the old forces are exploiting. Take for example the evildoers that used the Olympics to persecute us. Why can't we use the Olympics and those evildoers to save more sentient beings?
From the Fa we know that the old forces should no longer exist. It is not accurate for us to say that we are "being taken advantage of by the old forces" because the old forces have been cleaned out a long time ago. Then why does the persecution still continue? Maybe it is the result of our human thoughts. The dark minions and rotten ghosts have used our human thoughts to perpetuate the persecution arranged by the old forces, so we must cultivate ourselves if we want to stop the persecution.
(Clearwisdom.net) Recently, when reading "Facts of the Persecution" articles on the Clearwisdom website in a hurry, I felt numb, helpless, and didn't even want to continue.
When I calmed down and then read the articles, I felt that the evil had no right to persecute Dafa practitioners, and that I should stop them from doing so. I should not allow the evil to continue their crimes, and I should immediately send forth strong righteous thoughts to eliminate all the evil beings and evil elements which persecute practitioners. I was also often touched by the righteous thoughts and actions of these practitioners.
When I read "Practitioners Exchange Insights and Experiences" articles in a hurry, I often only glanced at the titles or only read the first half of the articles.
When I calmed down and then read the articles, I took note of the experiences of these practitioners and discovered that my own xinxing was inadequate, as well as how I clarified the truth.
It's similar with other sections on the Clearwisdom website. We may have totally different experiences when we read the articles with either calm hearts or in a hurry. The above are my thoughts as I read the articles today, and I would like to share them with other practitioners.
(Clearwisdom.net) On August 8, the Chinese Communist Party used the Olympic Games to strengthen its dictatorial rule. As I did the exercises that nigh, I saw through my celestial eye that this was a gathering of rotten ghosts and low-level spirits. Some of them were physically attached to human bodies, and some of them were celebrating. They could not see that in the sky, there were innumerable Buddhas, gods and Taos in the form of Dafa disciples, sending forth righteous thoughts together, each striking at the evil.
Then, I saw our benevolent Master appear from the apex of the colossal firmament. Innumerable divine beings knelt and gathered to pay their respect. I saw our merciful Teacher's extensive compassion towards all sentient beings. Master looked at the sentient beings below him with tears of mercy rolling down his face. Heaving a deep sigh, he cast down a big shroud to cover the evil. The evil beings could not get out, but they did not disintegrate immediately. Master said that he wanted to wait a little longer because a lot of beings there had predestined relationships with Dafa. Master did not want them to miss the opportunity. The innumerable divine beings all shed tears of gratitude for Buddha's enormous grace and mercy in providing yet another opportunity.
The above is what I saw with my celestial eye, and I am writing this down because I have observed that recently a lot of fellow practitioners, including myself, have developed an attachment toward the Olympic Games. Even though we had plenty of time to study the Fa during summer vacation, we were wasting valuable time, oblivious to the opportunity afforded to cultivate diligently and save more sentient beings. We were numb towards many things, and we did not have the heart of compassion to save others; we only wanted to save ourselves. Actually we all knew that Master has extended the time to give us the opportunity to save more sentient beings, as well as to wait for those not cultivating as diligently to catch up. In the lecture "Teaching the Fa in the City of Los Angeles", Master said
"What I was just talking about was to tell you that no matter how long of a tumultuous time you have been through, or how much longer is required, you can't be attached to time. The more rampant the evil is, the more it bears out the Dafa disciples' mighty virtue in saving all beings; and the more critical the moment, the more it bears out the Dafa disciples' magnificence."
Fellow practitioners, let us cultivate diligently together, perform the duties that Dafa disciples should perform. Let us clarify the truth, save sentient beings, and cherish this opportunity provided by Master's compassion.
(Clearwisdom.net) Editors' note: In both Western and Chinese cultures, the principle of karmic retribution, that is, being held ultimately accountable for one's own actions, is widely accepted. The fundamental teaching of Falun Gong is the characteristic of the universe, "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." The universe will reward acts that are in harmony with this principle, while doing things such as beating, torturing and murdering people will incur karmic retribution. Stated another way, good deeds will be rewarded with good, while evildoings will meet due retribution. Articles such as this one are meant as a compassionate reminder of this principle to those who would commit wrongdoing. While many of those who persecute Falun Gong are merely "following orders," the universal law requires that they, too, be held responsible for their actions, and that only by reversing their course of wrongdoing may they escape retribution.
The evil deeds committed by the officials in Gaozhou City, Guangdong Province as they they have persecuted of Falun Gong have resulted, for many of them, in retribution. The following officials were actively involved in and responsible for many instances of persecution against local Falun Gong practitioners:
1. Guang Liang was Party secretary of the Nanhu District in Gaozhou City. He died suddenly on the way home from drinking in 2004.
2. Zhang Yuqi, associate party secretary of Nanhu District in Gaozhou City, died of liver cancer in late 2004.
3. Liang Feng, neighborhood director in the Nanhu District in Gaozhou City, died of a terminal illnesses in April 2008.
4. Zhan Jie, associate head of section No. 1 of the Gaozhou City Public Security Department, was attacked by thugs while out one night. He needed hospitalization. He detained and sent dozens of practitioners to forced labor camps and brainwashing centers during 2001.
5. Liu Guiwen, a 30-year-old police officer from Beiguan Police Station, died of liver cancer in 2003.
For their own good, we would like to encourage the government officials and police officers still committing evil deeds to stop persecuting practitioners, and instead treat practitioners with kindness.
