(Clearwisdom.net) On Saturday, July 19, 2008, on the eve of the anniversary of Chinese Communist Party (CCP)'s nine-year-long persecution of Falun Gong, British Falun Gong practitioners arrived at Chinatown, London to display to people the beauty of Falun Dafa. They also exposed the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong and called for an end of the CCP's atrocities.

In front of the two lion statues in the center of Chinatown, London, a Falun Gong table was set up. The banners, under brilliant sunshine, which read, "Falun Dafa Is Good" and "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance Is Good", drew people's attention. Leaflets in both Chinese and English and petition forms were placed on the table. A number of information boards were place around the table. The posters included information on the worldwide spread of Falun Dafa and exposure of the CCP's brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China.

Next to the table, some of the practitioners demonstrated the five sets of Falun Gong exercises accompanied by the peaceful exercise music. Some others handed out leaflets to tourists from all parts of the world. Some others explain the fact to tourists from China and exposed the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong practitioners, urging them to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations. Some practitioners explained the facts to tourists and encouraged them to sign the petition in support of practitioners' efforts to stop the persecution.

Because it was a sunny Saturday, many tourists went to Chinatown, London. The posterboards and practitioners' exercise demonstration became the focus of attention. Quite a few tourists stopped to take a look and also to take photos. When the practitioners sent forth righteous thoughts, apparently more tourists gathered around the table.

British Falun Gong practitioners have persistently handed out leaflets to tourists in Chinatown for a long time. As a result, overseas Chinese here have become familiar with these activities. But this larger scale activity had an impact on many Chinese. "Ah, Falun Gong!" viewers exclaimed occasionally. Some tourists directly walked toward the table to ask for more leaflets. Many passersby stopped to attentively watch the exercise demonstration.

On this day, several groups of tourists from China visited Chinatown, London. Practitioners took advantage of this chance to hand out leaflets to the Chinese tourists. Though quite a few Chinese who had been misled by the CCP's lies refused to accept the leaflets, a large number of Chinese took the leaflets. In particular, a whole group of teenagers from China took leaflets, and so did their teacher who walked behind them.

Tourists in Chinatown, London came from all parts of the world, and for many of them this was their first time to come across Falun Gong. Facing the tourists who were rushing to their destination or not expressing much concern, Falun Gong practitioners kept appealing sincerely, "Please learn about Falun Gong. Please help bring an end to the persecution. Peaceful Falun Gong practitioners in China are being tortured to death by the CCP. The persecution has lasted for nine years. We must stop the persecution." After listening to the sincere appeals, many passersby took the leaflets, and some of them then signed the petition. One older western lady took the leaflet and told the practitioner, "This information is indeed very important."
