Disclosure of the Severe Persecution in the Qinghai Provincial Women's Forced Labor Camp

September 17, 2007 |   By a Falun Dafa practitioner in Qinghai Province, China

(Clearwisdom.net) The Qinghai Provincial Women's Forced Labor Camp, located at 61 E. Bayi Road, Xining City, Qinghai Province, is one of the most notorious and monstrous dens where Falun Gong practitioners of Qinghai Province and surrounding areas are detained.

Due to the righteous thoughts and deeds of practitioners, an ever increasing number of Chinese people are becoming aware of the facts about Falun Gong. They are speaking out to disclose the persecution of Falun Gong. Below is information disclosing the persecution of the detained practitioners in the Qinghai Women's Forced Labor Camp.

1. Drug Addicts and Prostitutes Designated to Monitor and Beat Falun Gong Practitioners

In 2002, Falun Gong practitioner Li Guixiang held a hunger strike for over forty days to protest the persecution. She continued to memorize Teacher's new article and do the exercises. Chen Qinghua, the labor camp physician, beat Li Guixiang on her head and in the eye in an attempt to "transform" her. Her hands and feet were bound with handcuffs, and she was not allowed to go to bed or use the bathroom.

Detained prostitute Bao Chunmei was designated by the No.1 Team head, Wang Haijie, to monitor Li Guixiang. Bao beat Ms. Li when the other inmates went out to work. One day, when Ms. Li Guixiang sat on the bed and did the exercises, Bao Chunmei pushed her off the bed and beat her.

Guards Wang Haijie and Li Hua ordered the Falun Gong practitioners to line up in the corridor after supper and sing communist propaganda songs. When two practitioners, Zhang Xuefeng and Zhang Xiulan, refused to sing, they were dragged away and shocked with electric batons. Zhang Xuefeng was locked up on the third floor and beaten by the designated prostitutes. Later, Zhang Xuefeng was tortured to death.

2. Guards Tried to Cover Up Their Evil Deeds

Li Shoulan was a drug addict designated by a guard to monitor Ms. Li Guixiang. When she found that Ms. Li Guixiang had been beaten black and blue all over her body, she went and told a Falun Gong practitioner, Chen Jiping, what she had seen. Chen Jiping also knew that Bao Chunmei had beaten Ms. Li Guixiang in the bathroom. Chen Jiping reported Bao Chunmei to deputy director Xiang Jianmei.

Xiang Jianmei responded that one witness cannot be regarded as an evidence. To cover up the persecution, another witness, Li Shoulan, was placed in isolation outside the camp to move big rocks. Chen Jiping was locked up in a small cell for eleven days. Someone started a rumor that Chen had beaten another detainee so she was beaten and shocked with electric batons.

3. A Secret Room to Torture Falun Gong Practitioners

One day at about 7:00 p.m., Tan Yingchun, a teacher at the No.6 Middle School, was summoned by guards Wang Haijie and Zhang Wenjing. She returned at midnight with wounds on her thighs. Tan Yingchun said the wounds were caused by electric shocks from guards Wang Haijie and Zhang Wenjing. They asked her to sign on a prepared renunciation letter which Tan Yingchun had refused to sign. Consequently, they began to torture her. Several days later, Tan Yingchun died. Falun Gong practitioner Miao Maolin was sent to the forced labor camp for just staying with other fellow practitioners. On her first day at the labor camp, she was locked up in a secret room. Guard Duan Hairong instigated some criminals to beat and torture Miao Maolin. When Miao Maolin reported this instance of beating and abuse to guard Li Hua, she was told to shut up.

Practitioner Wang Shujuan was also dragged to the secret room for torture. She was ordered into excessive forced labor.

Falun Gong practitioner Ji Guangxiu held a hunger strike on July 20 to protest the persecution and call for the unconditional release of the practitioners. Several days later, guard Wang Haijie forced her to dig a three-meter-deep channel. A male guard was unable to bear this cruel sight any longer and allowed Ji Guangxiu to rest when Wang Haijie was gone.
