The performance of the Divine Performing Arts touches the audience of metropolitan Tokyo and fills them with admiration

Japanese Member of the House of Representatives and Associate Director of the International Bureau of the Liberal Democratic Party Kawajo Shika sent greetings to the New Year Spectacular, wishing the friendship of China and Japan would be strengthened by the Chinese New Year Spectacular, and that the two countries would play an important role in the world. She wished further development of the exchange between China and Japan and wished everyone good health.

This new year show was staged by the Divine Performing Arts in the most populated metropolitan area in the world, Tokyo, after its performance in Osaka. West Japan is the birthplace of Japanese economy and cultural history. Nara and Kyoto were the cradle of ancient Japanese civilization and the hometowns of Japanese spirit. East Japan became the political and cultural center during Tokugawa Shogunate.

Many people in the audience shed tears as soon as they heard the music of "Creation."

"Creation" shook the audience. "Creation" belongs to the world.

As the show started with the solemn music of "Creation," thunderous applause arose. The audience was deeply touched by the solemn scene of Master Buddha establishing the Tang Dynasty and gave warm applause. They were attracted by the glory of heavenly realm as heaven beings descended to the world and beautiful fairies danced elegantly.

When the golden words "Grand Tang" in Chinese appeared on the screen above the palace at the end of the program "Creation," the audience, who had been holding their breath, gave long and loud applause. "Creation" presented the righteous culture of Tang Dynasty through bright and pure colors, the solemn realm of Buddha and purity of heaven. The Japanese audience, who are usually conserved and well-controlled, couldn't help shedding tears.

Hori Shouichi, the Chief Editor of Jiji Press said every performance of the program was touching, and that nothing similar could be found in Japan. The magnificent Tibetan Dance and Mongolian Dance were fascinating and touching. They were great presentations of the Chinese culture. He thought that "Creation," though full of Chinese characteristics, was not just for China, but for the whole world.

Yoshizawa Junichiro said every dance movement and every musical note almost moved him to tears. He experienced the long history of China. He said, "I have been to China on business many times but this is the first time I have seen such a show!"

Yoshizawa Junichiro is the President of a brand name clothes company. He said with excitement during intermission, "The music of 'Creation' is so beautiful that it moved people to tears. The Chinese culture has a distant origin and is beautiful. Coming from heaven, everyone has a way of living. However, we all used to live in the same place." He believes that everyone holds the most beautiful brand in his heart. He would like to introduce this show as the most beautiful brand to his customers.

He said he was deeply moved by Contralto Yang Jiansheng's song "Tiananmen Please Tell Me." The Japanese culture is a spiritual culture. Japanese respect each other's beliefs. Even though he didn't understand the words, he was deeply moved to tears.

Ms. Zhang watched the show in Osaka and was greatly moved. She took her daughter all the way from Nagoya for the show in Tokyo so that her daughter could experience the traditional culture of China through the show. She said when she saw the Master Buddha descend from heaven, she couldn't help crying. She didn't know why and couldn't describe her feeling in words.

MP: Don't Forget the Persecution of Falun Gong

MP Tsuchiya Takayuki of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government said the show was great. The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) also gave shows but they were political propaganda and very different from this show. The NTDTV show presented human compassion and Buddha's tolerance. He said, "It was great! I was very touched!"

On the dance performance "To the Rightful Place," which told the story of the ascending of a Falun Gong practitioner who was tortured to death, and of the punishment of the persecutor, Mr. Tsuchiya said, "It was beautiful performance! But we can't forget that Falun Gong practitioners in China are tortured and persecuted at this moment. They are waiting for us to rescue them...We can't stop at the show and forget the millions of people who are waiting for our rescue. We must treat the rescue seriously."

A photo and painting exhibition on human rights violations in China was held in the Parliament Building in Tokyo on on July 20, 2006. The exhibition was sponsored by the MP Association on World's Human Rights represented by MP Tsuchiya. The exhibition focused on three areas, including the persecution of Falun Gong, the persecution of the underground church, and photos of Chinese human rights advocacy leaders who have suffered persecution.

MP Tsuchiya said "Creation" was very close to the Japanese culture because the Japan culture originated from China. He had a strong feeling about performance "To the Rightful Place," which showed that good will be rewarded and the evil punished. Having learned about the persecution of Falun Gong in China, he admired Falun Gong practitioners' efforts. He said the rich and meaningful program and beautiful dance have spread the important message through beautiful art and told more people about Falun Gong.

Ms. Nomura from Saitama said that performance "To the Rightful Place" reminded her that one must not deviate from the right way.

Human rights expert Mr. An Donggan said he had learned about the persecution of Falun Gong and sincerely hoped that every Japanese would learn about it. He thought that such a great show would not be available under the power of the CCP. Every music and dance movement was special and beautiful. The show had expanded the exchange between the Japanese and the Chinese.

Ms. Zhang said "After watching the show, I am more positive that there wouldn't have been humans without the deities." She was also impressed with "To the Rightful Place" and saddened by the persecution. Ms. Zhang said she was in tears almost from the beginning to the end of the show.

Chinese Japanese Mr. Lin, who had lived in Japan for more than ten years, told the reporter, "I was deeply moved by the performance of the Divine Performing Arts. This is the first time I have seen such a wonderful performance in many years. I especially liked the dances. Both the costumes and dance movements were elegant. The Japanese sitting around me all marveled. This show has played an important role in spreading the righteous Chinese culture."

Mr. Lin said, "The well-known "The Loyalty of Yue Fei" was a moving show. I learned about the persecution of Falun Gong from my friends in China. I know all this is happening in China. All of this needs to be changed."

Mr. Lin was amazed how NTDTV could put together such a wonderful entertainment program within such a short period of time. He hoped NTDTV would continue its effort and have more splendid achievement.

Japanese Audience: I Finally Found You!

A Japanese man told the reporter in excitement, "I have finally found you! I have been in Buddhism for many years. After watching today's show, I realize I have finally found what I have been looking for! Thank you! Thank you for bringing such a treasure to Japan!" He bowed repeatedly to the reporter as he talked.

A lady had had a CT scan before she went to the show. She had felt so weak that she had to ask two friends to go with her. She said in excitement after watching the show, "My whole body feels very very light. All my diseases are gone! It is wonderful! It is great! I will surely come to your show again next year as long I live."

Mr. Satou said, "I can't describe how touched I am. My tears flowed when I heard Soprano Jiang Min's song "Why Refuse." I can't describe my feeling in words. I seem to regain the memory from the deepest part of my life. I seem to be one of those who followed the Master Buddha to the world." He said he knew he understood the meaning of the song even though he didn't remember the lyrics. He couldn't help crying...

Mr. Satou said the show had awakened the memory in the deepest of his life. He had been crying the entire time.

"My friend, do you remember?
We came as guests here, from above.
Over so many lives, for whom was it we waited?

House Representative: Hopes the Show by Divine Performing Arts Will Revive Japan

House Representative Yichimura Kouichirou said he was happy that the Japanese had the chance to watch the first shows by the Divine Performing Arts in Asia, "The show allowed me to experience the variety, the unselfishness and colors of the traditional Chinese culture. I am very happy to have this opportunity."

He said, "All performances were wonderful! Dances were beautiful, especially the ethnic dances. My views are broadened. The use of colors and movements, as the host said, were perfect art. I hope such show will come back to Japan next year."

He said with emotion, "The islands of Japan used to be a country of many races. They got long and their cultures were compatible. But it eventually became a country of a single race. I hope the show by Divine Performing Arts will help Japan's renaissance."

Regarding the development of media like NTDTV, he said that even though there were a lot of difficulties, the values being spread were very important. He hoped that NTDTV would continue.

Western Japan, where Osaka is located, represents the aristocratic culture of Heinan Period which incorporated elements of Sui Dynasty and Tang Dynasty. Eastern Japan, where Tokyo is located, represents the warrior culture of Yamato. The brightness of the Chinese righteous culture and connotation of the divine culture brought by the Divine Performing Arts have filled the audience with admiration no matter in eastern or western Japan.On March 14, 2007, New Tang Dynasty TV Station's (NTDTV) Chinese New Year Spectacular by the Divine Performing Arts shook the hearts of the reserved people in Tokyo. The audience shed tears and bowed many times after the performance. Four thousand people, including VIPs in political, academic and art fields, were attracted to the two shows in Sonic City. Members of Parliament watched the show, as well as more than ten media including Jiji Press, Yomiuri Shimbun and Sankei Shimbun.

(Clearwisdom.net) March 11 was the warmest day of the winter in Detroit, Michigan. Snow from days past had melted and spring seemed to return. Falun Gong practitioners in Michigan participated in the 49^th march for the Saint Patrick's Day celebration of the local Irish community.

Michigan Avenue was crowded with people wearing and carrying green. They seemed to burst out into the streets to embrace the spring after being confined indoors for several months. Falun Gong practitioners wore golden exercise costumes which looked particularly bright and shiny in the brilliant sunshine. The float decorated with all kinds of lotus flowers was also especially beautiful. It was like a golden lotus amid the sea of green. Along with the the music of "Falun Dafa is Great," the waist drummers' performance won applause from spectators along the way.

When the Falun Gong contingent passed by the review stand, the host repeated three times, "Falun Dafa, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good," and repeatedly extended their thanks to the Falun Gong contingent for bringing "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance" to the Irish community. On the way back to the starting place, many people asked practitioners to have pictures taken with them, and told practitioners that they have received the fliers introducing Falun Dafa and the persecution.

(Clearwisdom.net) To celebrate the Lantern Festival of lunar January 15, Qiaoyi County government organized a nine-day "Taiwan Lantern Festival" in the plaza in front of the county government building, from March 3-11, 2007. A lantern titled "Falun Dafa is Good" made by Falun Dafa practitioners was selected among over one thousand lanterns to display in the main area. Many people surrounded the "Falun Lantern" and some were so curious that they tried to touch the "Spinning Law Wheel."

According to Chinese folklore, the Lantern Festival is also called "Little Spring Festival." It is an important festival in Taiwan too. Since 1990, the Taiwan Department of Transportation has organized the "Taipei Lantern Festival" every year, and there were over one million visitors each year. This year, the lanterns were divided into several districts including main lanterns, secondary lanterns, traditional lanterns, happy lanterns, prayer and blessing lanterns, art lanterns and little lanterns. The total space approaches 35 acres and it is estimated there will be over 100,000 visitors every night.

The lanterns made by Falun Dafa practitioners include "Law Wheel," "Lunyu," "Celestial Maidens," and "Unity between Humans and Nature." The practitioners started planning in July and overcame many difficulties. A practitioner who participated in the lantern making said that the "Law Wheel" lantern has a law wheel that spins nine times clockwise and then nine times counter-clockwise. "It is a fruit of many practitioners' consideration and design."

A Falun Gong practitioner stood in front of the lantern "Unity between Humans and Nature" and smiled. He said, "This lantern is to display the beautiful environment when a Falun Gong practitioner is in meditation. The girl is beautiful and pure, in white clothing, and looks like a lotus flower on the water, clean and pure, divine and glorious. When a person cultivates to a high level, in another dimension, the body will have three flowers above the head. Three flowers are spinning above the head."

"Because we practice Falun Dafa, we experience its beauty in person. We follow the principle Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance in our day to day lives. Our health improves, our minds are clean and life is richer. We want to use this folklore lantern festival to let more people know Falun Dafa."

One old man stood in front of the lantern "Lunyu" and exclaimed, "I have never see such a lantern before. So pretty. I cannot describe it, but I do feel a kind of pleasure while I am standing here."

(Clearwisdom.net) On March 3-11, 2007, at the Chiayi County Government sponsored Lantern Festival, Falun Gong practitioners displayed the "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance" Art Exhibition, which was welcomed by the citizens. One art teacher from a high school said, "Those artworks were created by people who enlightened to the principles of the universe. I can feel the persistent and pure spiritual power in them."

Hundreds of thousands of people from all over Taiwan came to the festival every day. Falun Gong practitioners arranged the art exhibition, which also provided an opportunity to promote two other exhibitions in Tainan and Chiayi on March 14-28 and April 11-29 respectively.

More than 40 artworks were displayed at the exhibition. These pieces have been shown in more than 30 countries, and won many awards from governments and non-government organizations.

The artworks were created by Falun Gong practitioners, including Zhang Kunlun, Zhang Cuiying, Li Yuan, Chen Xiaoping, and Dong Xiqiang. These artists improve their bodies and spirits through cultivating Falun Dafa and enlightening to the Law of the universe. They follow the principle of "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance," and share their experiences and understanding through their art.

Several girls were attracted to the painting "Rotate the Big Falun." A practitioner told them, "Mr. Li Hongzhi, the founder of Falun Dafa, rotated many Falun at a Falun Gong conference. The Falun purified the bodies of more than 5000 practitioners at the conference. Some practitioners whose celestial eyes were open saw that Master Li radiated a flow of red energy, which covered the whole conference hall."

Falun Gong practitioners said that people not only see the beauty of Falun Dafa through the artworks, but also learn how practitioners have clarified the truth consistently during the severe persecution. They hope that more and more people will come to the art exhibitions.

On the evening of March 2, 2007, the grand parade was the most important activity of the lantern festival celebrations at Miaoli. Beginning at 8:00 p.m., participating groups lined up, including traditional arts groups, drum teams, divine drum team, lion dance, stilts, various dances and the traditional hakha big drums and eight tunes.

Among the 53 groups, there was the Shenwei Waist Drum Team by Falun Dafa practitioners, the Divine Land Marching Band, and a drum team from New Tang Dynasty TV Station. The three groups created a new peak of interest at the event.

Following the large banner "Falun Dafa," one hundred and twenty players from the Divine Land Marching Band played the music "Falun Dafa is good." The musicians were all Falun Dafa practitioners from northern and mid Taiwan. The music cleared the haze and won lots cheers.

Near the center of the second half of the parading groups, was the Shenwei Waist Drum Team. They performed in good rhythm and harmony, spread the seeds of Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance to the people, and moved numerous spectators.

Along the parade route, Falun Dafa practitioners distributed a special edition truth-clarification publication. It tells people that practicing Falun Dafa can improve health and raise moral levels, and that Falun Dafa has spread to over 80 countries in the world where it receives universal acceptance and recognition. The flier also exposes the Chinese Communist Party's crime of harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners, then selling them for profit, and cremating the bodies to destroy the evidence.

In the current society, many people are lost in the material world. Falun Dafa practitioners displayed the beauty of Dafa and left a good impression of Dafa in people's hearts.

(Clearwisdom.net) In early April 2004, the Jilin Prison rampantly persecuted Falun Dafa practitioners. The prison staff gave a dozen prison guards the prisoners' uniforms to wear. They were pretending to be Falun Dafa practitioners. Each of them held a wooden stick in their hand and started to smash the iron gate. They yelled, "We have not committed any crime, we want to be released." At the same time, the prison education department (Tackle the Fort Office) video-taped the whole process. They said that Falun Gong practitioners were planning to bomb and disturb the prison. A list of crimes were deceitfully added to Falun Gong practitioners charges. After fabricating the evidence, the prison reported to the Jilin Prison Management Bureau, Jilin Judicial Department and the Provincial Party Committee. They claimed that "Falun Gong practitioners in Jilin Prison are planning to bomb the prison. The recorded video is provided as evidence. A decision from our superior is requested." It was in fact used to persecute Falun Gong practitioners. When the order of persecution arrived, the prison guards started a more severe and unbridled attack towards Falun Gong practitioners.

On the day following the report, the Jilin Prison started to renovate the abandoned detention cells. There are six small rooms in total. Each room has a fixed bed to tie practitioners (also called a "Dead Man's Bed"). One week later, they started locking up people to persecute them. The steadfast practitioners were sent there and their bodies were tied onto the bed. They had to eat and urinate on the bed. The thugs used various ways to persecute practitioners. There was a discussion among the prisons about how to persecute Falun Dafa practitioners. The first group of practitioners who were sent to the Dead Man's Bed were Zhang Wen, Zhang Weixin, Yang Junsheng, Shi Wenfeng and Lei Ming.

Lei Ming was twice placed under "strict control" in the Jilin Prison. The first "strict control" lasted three months. He was locked on the Dead Man's Bed (the bed is flexible, it can be extended in length until the person on the bed loses his limbs). Lei Ming's body was stretched. His feet became disabled and he then walked with a limp.

On March 20, 2004, Lei Ming was again sent to the Dead Man's Bed. He firmly believed in Falun Dafa and didn't yield. The prison guards locked him up for more than six months. After Lei Ming was released from the detention cell, his life was in great danger. He was released on bail for medical treatment. Prison guard Li from the education department is the prime person who persecuted Lei Ming. The thugs, Sun Zhigang and Ding Zhaosong were the accomplices. Many practitioners' lives were in imminent danger, some died soon after they were released. Lei Ming died on August 6, 2006.

Practitioner Zhang Wen from Changchun was sentenced after the "March 15 Cable TV Tapping." He was sent to the Third Team of the Fifth Division of Jinlin Prison to be persecuted in December 2002. On the day he was sent to the prison, prison guard Zhang Jianhua instigated several thugs to beat Zhang Wen, whose feet became limp for more than a month. Later,one thug told practitioners, "I had to listen to the prison guard in order to gain points and reduce my sentence. You must sit on the board every day. You are not allowed to talk to anyone. If you break these rules, I must hit you." In May 2003, Zhang Wen was called into the office for writing an appeal letter to prison guard Zhang Jianhua. He was told that Falun Gong practitioners are not allowed to appeal, as practitioners do not have this right. They asked him to take the appeal back and promise not to appeal anymore. Otherwise, he would be placed under strict control. Zhang Wen insisted that he had committed no crime by appealing. Prison guards Lin Yubin and Zhang Jianhua sent Zhang Wen to the "Strict Control Division." Zhang Wen neither gave in nor cooperated with them. He was released from the strict division after he was locked up for more than six months. They transferred him to the Second Division in November. In April 2004, he was again locked up in the detention cell to be tortured on the Dead Man's Bed. Zhang Wen's heel was deeply cut by the iron caliper that was used to tie him. It made him bleed and limp.

Practitioner Zheng Weidong is from Jiutai City, Changchun Province. He was illegally sentenced and sent to the Second Team of the Fifth Division in May 2002. In October 2002, prison guard Guo Donghu instigated thugs lead by Liu You and Shi Jingyu to beat Zheng Weidong, who didn't listen to or cooperate with them. The practitioner who sat behind Zheng Weidong tried to stop them by saying, "Do not hit people, it is illegal to beat someone." As soon as he finished his sentence, he was beaten on the ground. After they finished beating him, the prison guards gave an admonitory talk and again threatened everyone. They authorized the thugs to beat practitioners if they do not listen. Then prison guards Lin Yubin, Guo Dongbiao and the other thugs decided to move Zheng Weidong to the ground. They forced him to sit on the ground and deprived him of sleep for 24 hours. At about 4:00 a.m. on the morning of the eighth day, when Zheng Weidong went to use the toilet, he started to ram himself against the heater, in protest against the persecution. After his wound was dressed and the bleeding stopped, the torture continued. He was again sent to the Dead Man's Bed until his body nearly gave up. The Jilin Prison constructed fixed beds in every team in order to persecute Falun Dafa practitioners. At the end of February 2004, he was transferred to Siping with a large group of people.

On Chinese New Year's Eve in 2005, one prisoner was stretched to death on the fixed bed. This is not uncommon. Thugs Sun Zhigang and Ding Zhaoshong removed the dead body from the fixed bed to a stretcher. They carried the dead body to the hospital and claimed that this person had died even though every attempt was made to rescue him. Many people in Jilin Prison died in this manner.

Ms. Zhao Xiuqin, a practitioner in her fifties, lived at Xuanwu District in Beijing. She had suffered from the persecution of Falun Gong since July 20, 1999, when the persecution started, and had become homeless. The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) police minions arrested her when she was distributing truth clarifying materials, and she was taken to a forced labor camp. Although she was subjected to brainwashing many times, she never stepped aside from her cultivation path. She died in January 2007 at a forced labor camp, due to persecution. Additional investigation is needed for detailed information.

Ms. Zou Yongping, 54, was the head of the workers' union at the Xinbin County Medicine Administrative Bureau. Ms. Zou went to Beijing many times to appeal for Falun Gong and clarify the truth after July 20, 2999, the day when Falun Gong was banned. She was arrested and detained at Xinbin County Detention Center more times than one can count. She was seen as a "key" person by the Xinbin 610 Office. During the past few years, Ms. Zou lived under constant police surveillance. Her phone was bugged and she was often followed. Evil people came to her door many times to harass and threaten her, and one time they confiscated a computer. She was detained many times, fined 4,000 yuan, and twice taken to a forced labor camp. She was detained once at Fushun City Forced Labor Camp and once at Masanjia Forced labor Camp. She was tortured at the labor camps and developed symptoms of high blood pressure and other cardiovascular diseases. Later it worsened and she suffered mental trauma, and acted abnormally. In 2005, Masanjia Forced Labor Camp released Ms. Zou on bail for medical treatment to abscond responsibility for her condition. Ms. Zou never recovered. On October 28, 2006, her body was discovered on a road to Matang Village, Xinbin County.

(Clearwisdom.net) My name is Pan Qi. I am a single woman and was born on June 26, 1974. I am a physician of internal medicine and live in Ganjingzi District, Dalian City, Liaoning Province. I was weak and unhealthy since childhood. In 1996, when I was in my third year of college, I began practicing Falun Gong. From then on, I have been following the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, and I have become a very healthy and happy person.

On July 20, 1999, Jiang Zemin's wicked regime began openly persecuting Falun Gong. In order to defend Falun Gong and our Master, some practitioners and I went to the Dalian municipal government to appeal on July 20. The police harassed us and took us far away to a school by bus. During the day, they did not allow us any food. By 10:00 p.m., the officers had registered each of us before releasing us.

To resist the lies and persecution, on August 9, 1999, I and seven other practitioners openly did the Falun Gong exercises in the Haimao 523 Factory Elementary School. Policeman Wang Guoyu of Haimao Police Station led a group of officers and arrested us. They later sent us to Yaojia Detention Center, where we were detained for seven days. During this detention, I refused to stop practicing. To punish me, the guards locked me up with rusty shackles. They said that these shackles had not been used for a long time. They chained my hands and feet to a frame. I could not lie down, nor could I stand up. When I tried to move a little, my wrists and ankles hurt badly. After 24 hours, my body could not stop shaking. An elderly lady in her 70's was also tortured the same way. She looked younger than her real age because of her Falun Gong practice. When she had her period, the police did not let her wash, so she was soaked with blood. A guard even cursed her.

My older sister Pan Ling was also detained. She and another practitioner were handcuffed together back to back. When one of them used the bathroom, the other had to go along. It was very painful.

Detained practitioners occupied an entire floor of the building. It was so crowded that we could hardly find a place to sleep. Some practitioners recited Master's books from memory. To stop them, the guards beat them. After that, they assigned one or two people to monitor each practitioner. Because the place was overcrowded, we did not eat meals or ate less to avoid trouble. We had to sleep on the bare floor with no bedding.

After seven days, I returned home and found that my house had been ransacked by the police. They had confiscated all of my Falun Gong books. My family members were very scared.

In late October 1999, I went to Beijing to appeal. When I arrived at Tiananmen, a soldier asked me who I was. I said that I was a Falun Gong practitioner and I wanted to visit the government appeals office. I was taken to Qianmen Police Station. The police officers refused to listen to my appeal and just wanted to know my name and address to send me back to my hometown. I refused to tell them my name and address. To punish me, they handcuffed my arms behind my back, one from above and another from below. After 20 minutes, they opened the handcuffs and questioned me. When I refused to cooperate, they handcuffed me again. After several rounds, my hands turned purple for lack of blood circulation. They then changed their tactics and hung me up by my hands to a steel cage. My toes could barely touch the floor. The officers closed the door, turned off the light, and left me there alone. With my body weight on my hands, I felt as if I was being deformed. My body felt like it was being torn to pieces. After a long time, the officers lowered me down. This torture did not stop until the next morning. I could not move my hands for a long time.

One of the police officers lied to me. He said that if I told them my name, they would give me the Falun Gong books they had confiscated from practitioners, and I could take as many as I wanted. Otherwise, they would destroy the books. I believed the lie and told them my name. They immediately took me to the Dalian City Liaison Office in Beijing. From there I was sent to Jinzhou Detention Center in Dalian.

The food in Jinzhou Detention Center was terrible. A meal usually consisted of hard corn bread and a piece of salted turnip. Bathroom breaks were very short and only at designated times. As a result, some of us suffered from constipation. After six days, the guards sent me to Masanjia Forced Labor Camp without informing my family.

In Masanjia Forced Labor Camp, I suffered all kinds of mistreatment. I was monitored and tortured, forced to do hard labor, punished physically with electrical batons and sleep deprivation, and forced to stay in very cold place. After all this, the guards still could not force me to renounce Dafa. Frustrated, four guards (Wang Naimin, Wang Suzheng, Zhang Xiurong, and Huang Haiyan) placed Master's picture on the floor and carried me to step on the picture. They then told me to say bad things about Master and Dafa and threatened to shock me again. They wanted to destroy me physically and mentally. Under the high pressure, I compromised. Afterwards, I no longer wanted to live, but I also knew that committing suicide was a sin for a practitioner. However, at the time, I wanted to end the difficult situation and protest the persecution with death. My plan failed. Detention Center director Su Jing had an interview with me after I was "reformed." I told her about my thoughts of suicide. After that, the officials gave up the plan to have me appear on TV to glorify their "success."

I then wrote a letter of "My Declaration" to indicate my resolve to continue cultivating. After I gave it to police team leader Wang Naimin, three months were added to my term. The guards also said that I had a mental problem and took me to a hospital. Using 400 yuan of my money, they bought some drugs and forced me to take them. I told Wang Naimin that I had no mental problem and there was no need to take the drugs. She said, "You couldn't sleep." I said, "But that doesn't mean I have to take these." In fact, they did not allow me to sleep regularly. Wang said, "These drugs are expensive." I told her, "It's not good to take them." She said, "You can do whatever you want. You can lie down or sleep, as long as you take them." Several collaborators pinned me to the floor. One sat on my body and they pinched my nose so I had to open my mouth to breathe, then they dumped the drugs into my mouth. Afterwards, I often felt dizzy and could not stand still. They said, "Once you are 'reformed,' then everything will be over." Fellow practitioner Su Juzhen was also forced to swallow some drugs.

Three months later, I was still not "reformed." The detention center told me that I would either remain there indefinitely or go to Dabei Prison to serve a sentence. After my family members' efforts, I received a medical parole after four months in Masanjia. I left Masanjia in February 2001.

In June 2001, my sister and I went to Dalian Finance College to clarify the truth about Falun Gong. The security and police officers arrested us and sent us to Yaojia Detention Center. In the detention center, I told the officials that I did nothing wrong. To punish me, guard Lu Yimei (female) chained me with handcuffs and foot shackles. She also tied the cuff and foot shackles together with a short chain, so that my back could not be straight. In their "normal" practice, this torture should not be used on anyone for more than 14 days. Otherwise, it could cause a permanent handicap. However, they chained me that way for 40 days. To protest this torture, I went on a hunger strike twice, for a total of 14 days. Each time, the prison doctor and some assistants force-fed me with salt water and porridge. Later, the guards took me to Dalian Forced Labor Camp. After a physical exam, a doctor declared that I was too sick to serve the hard labor. At the time, I could not even stand freely. When I walked, I had to lean on the wall and walk slowly. Finally after 15 days, they released me.

Repeated detention caused severe damage to my life. I lost my job, I was physically hurt and exhausted and was mentally distressed. My family members were unhappy and people tried to stay away from me. Not long after I was released, I took a qualifying exam for chief physician and passed. I would have become a doctor if not for the persecution, but now these basic rights were not available to me.

After I returned home, I worked in an Internet café, a family business. However, the officers from Haimao Police Station said that Falun Gong practitioners are not allowed to run an Internet café. In the end, we had to close the business.

Because I clarify the truth and insist on my belief in Falun Dafa, I have been repeatedly arrested by the police and dismissed by quite a few employers. These employers are: Ganjing District Hospital, Dalianwan District Hospital, Ganjing District Beishi Group Hospital, Nanguanling District Hospital, Dalian New Century Hospital, Dalian New Development District Hospital and Moushi Hospital. The heads of these hospitals tried to pressure me to give up Falun Dafa cultivation. They also assigned people to watch me and forbade me from talking about Falun Gong with anyone. They were afraid of being fined, or their bonus being affected. They also feared that the police might harass them.

Some hospitals ended my employment because I was detained. For example, when I was in Beishi Group Hospital, chief of staff Zhang destroyed my chance to get training. He said that if I was arrested again, my training was wasted and that he would rather send a nurse for the training. During the Chinese New Year, I sang a Dafa song. For that, he fired me. Another time, when I was an ER doctor in the New Development District, I picked up a patient with a driver. The patient gave us 300 yuan in cash. The driver wanted to share the money with me but I told him that I am a Falun Gong practitioner and would never take this kind of money. The driver was upset and he reported me to the chief of staff Li. Chief Li told me to write an apology statement, but I refused, so they fired me. The communist rulers in China encourage people to lower their morals, and in the meantime, they attack good people. Ms. Zhang Xilian, the director of the ER, witnessed this incident.

On April 5, 2004, policeman Liu Hui and more than ten other people from the New Development District came to my dormitory in Dongte Clinic to arrest me. To protest their conduct, I decided to start a hunger strike. The police pushed me into a chair and started to force-feed me with a soup that contained drugs and salt. It tasted awful and I felt dizzy immediately afterwards. Dr. Wang said that they gave me some medicine for dysentery to treat my diarrhea, but their activity was very suspicious. Ten days later, I experienced kidney failure symptoms. Officer Liu Hui asked my mother to take me home after she paid a 5,000 yuan fine. My mother saw my dangerous condition and refused to pay. Liu Hui was so scared that he ran away without a word.

In July 2005, official Luo Gan came to Dalian. To please Luo, Dalian's National Security Police system headed by Chen Xin started an intensive harassment of practitioners. They monitored our phone calls, followed us, and made arrests. One day after work, they arrested me, along with fellow practitioners Tian Yunhai, Sun Liwen and Zang Lianmei.

In the detention center, I refused to eat or drink. The guards deprived me of sleep and guard Wang Tao asked doctor Su to force-feed me. They inserted a hose in my windpipe which caused me to cough strongly and spit out the food. Suddenly I heard the sound of heavy rain and could not hear another sound because I was almost dead from suffocation. They stopped the force-feeding and sent me back to my cell and the rain stopped. After that, I reported the incident to director Meng, guard Wang Tao and other police officers, but no one cared to listen to such a horrible act.

Fellow practitioners Chi Yulian and Li Xiumei died of force-feeding. I believed that if I did not survive this, the officials would probably issue a "death from illness" statement like they did for Chi Yulian and Li Xiumei. The next day, doctor Su came to force-feed me again. He fixed the feeding hose to my hair and tied my limbs to the bed. To avoid further damage, I agreed to eat some food and the force-feeding stopped. However, my stomach and mouth were both badly hurt. My family picked me up 15 days later.

I later went to the Ganjingzi Procuratorate to investigate the tortured-to-death cases in the detention centers, and asked them to protect the innocent; however, after they heard the cases, no one wanted to help.

Fellow practitioner Mr. Tian Yunhai received a ten-year sentence by Ganjingzi Procuratorate and Ganjingzi Court, headed by chief judge Wang Lijuan. Mr. Tian is detained at Team Six, First Division of Panjin Prison. In prison, Mr. Tian once wanted to stop the guards from beating practitioners. As a result, guards headed by Zhang Guolin and Wu Fenggang assaulted him with punches and kicks, they also used electric batons and the tiger bench to torture him, and they tied him to a iron chair for over 50 days. On August 19, 2006, Mr. Tian started a hunger strike to protest the illegal detention and persecution. The hunger strike lasted more than six months. Guard Zhang Guolin did not let his family see him, saying that they don't even care if he dies. Now Mr. Tian has been transferred to a special prison hospital. The head officer in the hospital, Zhang Huiyu, said that Mr. Tian's health is deteriorating. The hospital chief, Zhang Yawei, and Doctor Gao Junman continue to force-feed him and perform involuntary infusions. They said that they are not sure about his safety. He is unable to walk and has to be carried on another's back. He also cannot speak.

I went to see the prison politics section chief, Hu Meifa, to report Mr. Tian's situation. Hu called some guards from the Xinsheng Branch to intimidate me, and they searched my bags and threatened to arrest me. After my strong resistance and others' intervention, they failed to make an arrest. Moushi Hospital's chief Liu Rulin had several talks with me to try to force me give up Dafa. After I refused, he fired me.

Practitioner Sun Liwen is being detained at Dalian Forced Labor Camp. Zang Lianmei is detained at Shenyang Prison Area. They are both very diligent practitioners.

Because I have been followed, when I have seen other practitioners on the street, we could only exchange a glance and move on. Because of the repeated detention and mistreatment to which I have been subjected, my physical condition is not as good as before. The right side of my body feels numb all the time. My strength and weight have not recovered. The local police officers often come to my house to harass me. They forced my family to sign some documents and fill out forms, and they often make threats of arrest. My family members are all afraid of them and have a short temper.

The red terror is all over China. All Falun Gong practitioners are facing arrest, prison terms, torture and even death. They face possibly being sent to concentration camps and having their vital organs harvested.

My sister went to Japan in late 2005. I planned to visit her there, but the government refused to issue me a passport. They told me to get a "not a Falun Gong practitioner" statement from our district police branch. I asked them, "Why do you refuse my passport application?" They did not answer this question. In fact, they are worried that the persecution in the prison would be exposed to the world.

(Clearwisdom.net) On the morning of February 22, 2007, Public Security Section Chief Gao Lei and Chinese Communist Party Secretary Zhao Mou of Xinwen Mining Group Huaheng Mining Corporation (formerly Xinwen Mining Bureau Wennan Coal Mine) brought more than ten people with them, broke into Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Liu Qin's home and arrested her. They took three Falun Dafa books that belonged to her. Then they broke into Falun Dafa practitioner Niu Rongtian's home, confiscated all her Falun Dafa materials and arrested her. In the afternoon, they broke into Falun Dafa practitioner Ren Zhizhen's home, searched her house, confiscated all the Falun Dafa materials and arrested her. The next day, they broke into Ren Zhizhen's home again and arrested her husband Zhao Wenzhu (who is about 50 years old and recently started to learn Falun Dafa).

Ms. Liu Qin is 63 years old. On June 13, 2006, while she was putting up some Falun Dafa truth-clarifying materials at Wennan Township, Xintai City, the deputy director of the Wennan Local Police Station Li Xin and several policemen arrived at the scene. They beat Ms. Liu badly and then took her to the local police station to be violently interrogated. The next day, they sent her to Xintai Detention Center, and extorted 1,400 yuan from her family. Liu Qin left the evil den with dignity on June 27. The Public Security Section of Huaheng Mining Corporation wanted to arrest Liu Qin and send her to Wangcun Labor Re-Education Camp in Zibo City to further persecute her. Because of this, Liu Qin was forced to leave her home. She returned home at the end of 2006 and had hidden at home since then. After the Lunar Chinese New Year, Liu Qin was discovered by police from the Public Security Section when she was visiting her friends and relatives, and they arrested her again.

Ms. Niu Rongtian is over 40 years old. On the night of January 3, 2003 when she was giving out truth-clarifying materials, someone reported her to the 610 Office at the Public Security Section. She was arrested and sent to Wennan Coal Mine. Zhang Chuanyu, Gao Lei, Yang Bin, Niu Xuedong, Song Zeng and Zhang Mou from the Public Security Section beat her up and illegally detained her for two days and two nights. They also extorted 5,000 yuan from her family. On the morning of January 6, Ms. Niu was sent to Wennan Women's Labor Re-Education Camp to be persecuted. She was there for 80 days. When she was incarcerated in the 3^rd Team, team leader Zhao told her while striking her head, "You are here to 'transform' your thoughts." Niu Rongtian was not allowed to sleep or go to the toilet. There were two persons assigned to watch her closely and torture her in turn. She was force-fed three times, causing her mouth to bleed, and she was forced to do hard labor for more than 10 hours daily. Ms. Niu returned home on April 5, 2003. Since then, the local police have continuously followed and harassed her.

Ms. Ren Zhizhen is about 50 years old. She was reported by someone in January 2002 when she was giving out truth-clarifying materials. Ms. Ren was arrested by the Xintai 610 Office and the Public Security Section of Wennan Coal Mine, and was sent to the Public Security Section (Zhang Chuanyu was the leader and Gao Lei was the driver). After two days, Ren Zhizhen was sent to Jinan No. 2 Women's Labor Re-Education Camp to be persecuted for 50 days. In the labor camp, she was subjected to forced brainwashing attempts (being forced to watch the self-immolation video and other false and slanderous materials), was deprived of sleep for a long period of time, and was not allowed to use the toilet. Ms. Ren was also verbally abused and forced to stand for a long period of time. In the later stages of her detention, she was forced to do hard labor for more than 10 hours every day. The perpetrators also extorted 6,000 yuan from her without giving any receipt. They often harassed Ms. Ren after she was released and sent home.

At present, most of the leaders at Huaheng Mining Corporation understand the truth of Falun Dafa, and they know that Falun Dafa practitioners are good people. Most of them try to avoid confronting practitioners now. But Public Security Section leader Gao Lei still takes the initiative to persecute Falun Dafa practitioners even during the Lunar Chinese New Year celebration. Good is rewarded with good, and evil is met with retribution. On February 6, 2006, police from the Public Security Section searched the homes of two elderly practitioners, Ms. Song and Ms. Gao, and locked them up at the Public Security Section overnight. They also extorted 1,200 yuan from Ms. Song's family and 500 yuan from Ms. Gao's family. On February 15, an explosion took place when the police were handling old explosives. Four people died on the spot and two were injured. Among them, three of the dead and one of the wounded were from the Public Security Section. Policeman Liu Bingli, who had monitored Falun Dafa practitioners for a long period of time, was blown up completely. Many personnel from the Public Security Section were either reduced to a lower rank or were fired.

(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Li Wei, 40, is a medical doctor at the Qianshan Hospital in Anshan City. He was sent to a forced labor camp for one year due to practicing Falun Gong. He was unlawfully sentenced to three years, which was later extended to five years. During the delay period, the Anshan Court wanted to re-try him, but he refused to cooperate. The Anshan City Police Department sent a large police force to arrest him. Li Wei was sentenced to a five-year prison term. His house was illegally ransacked, and Mr. Li's elderly parents were greatly traumatized by the incident.

During the time when Mr. Li Wei was detained in the Anshan City Detention Center, the guards instructed Fan Hongzuo, a male inmate who was on death-row, and Cai Bin, the No. 207 Cell Leader who is a male prisoner, to torture Mr. Li. They cut off Li Wei's nipples with scissors and used other torture methods in an attempt to force Li Wei to accept the brainwashing and give up his belief.

Mr. Li Wei's legs were stretched apart while in the custody of the Anshan City Police Criminal Control Division. His groin area became bluish purple and his testicles became swollen to the size of one's fists. He was unable to walk.

In November 2006, Li Wei was sent to the Anshan City Prison. He is now detained in the Sixth Ward. His parents are too afraid to visit him.

Ms. Li Yuping, 53 years old and around 1.65m (5ft 5in) in height, lived in Taihe Village, Mashan District, Jixi City, Heilongjiang Province. About four years ago, when the police mass-arrested Falun Gong practitioners, Li Yuping was forced to leave her home and become homeless. She has not been heard from since.

Li Yuping's husband misses his wife and suffers very much. He has been seriously ill for years and had to have two surgeries. His health is in poor condition and he suffers psychologically. Li Yuping's aunt, Jiang Shulan, who is in her seventies, misses her niece so much that she asks everyone she meets about Li Yuping 's whereabouts. Jiang Shulan and the entire family miss Li Yuping. They hope that they can hear from her as soon as possible.

During the past two months, in Fangshan District, Beijing, there have been eight or nine Dafa practitioners illegally arrested by officers from the local 610 Office, police station and state security police. They first tried to brainwash the practitioners, and if it didn't work, the practitioners would be subject to illegal forced labor or sentenced to prison.

From December 18, 2006 to February 21, 2007, eight or nine practitioners from Hebei Town and Fozizhuang Township were arrested. Among these practitioners, Ms. Zhang Shufang (in her fifties) from Ligezhuang Village, Hebei Town, was arrested on December 18, 2006. It was said that she would be sentenced to forced labor for two years.

In late January and early February 2007, the police arrested one or two practitioners in Chengjiatai Village, Fozizhuang Township.

On January 24, 2007, the police arrested practitioner Zhang (first name unknown) in Hongmeichang Village, Fozizhuang Township.

On February 1, 2007, practitioner Ms. Peng Guiqin from Dongzhuangzi Village, Hebei Town was arrested at her home.

On February 11, 2007, practitioners Ms. Xu Wenping from Dongzhuangzi Village, Hebei Town and Ms. Wang Meirong from Ligezhuang Village, Hebei Town were arrested at work. At the same time, the police also arrested practitioners Mr. Li Xuerong and his wife Mr. Duan, from Banbidian Village, Hebei Town.

The Harbin Women's Prison in Heilongjiang Province have designated the 11th and 13th brigades as the so called, brigades of "attack the steadfast practitioners," where they try to "transform" Dafa practitioners using violence. The captain of the 11th brigade Lu Jinghua, the captain of the 13th brigade Wang Xiaoli, and vice captain Jia Wenjun and others use sentence reductions to bribe the criminal prisoners into violently "transforming" Dafa practitioners. They also told the prisoners that they would award them 2,000 yuan for each Dafa practitioner they "transform."

The prison head Liu Zhiqiang gives handcuffs to the criminal prisoners, so that they can torture Dafa practitioners at any time. Tortures include handcuffing practitioners on the ceiling where practitioners' feet are 10 cm from the ground; continuously disallowing eating and sleeping; force-feeding once every three days, and so on. Eight criminal prisoners together torture one practitioner. Criminal prisoner Xu Zhen is the main executer and planner of persecution.

Some Dafa practitioners are taken to the hospital to be given an injection and force-fed drugs. Assistant of prison head Li Hongjun, chief of prison political affairs Zheng Jie, director of 610 Office Xiao Lin, and director of prison hospital etc., all participated in the torture themselves.

The 8th brigade of Shanxi Province Women's Prison is one of the most evil places in persecuting Dafa practitioners. Prison instructor Lei Runxiang is one the most brutal officer in torturing practitioners. Dafa practitioners from other brigades of Shanxi Province Women's Prison are all transferred into the 8th brigade to be tortured. One of the collaborators, Chou Lihua, is from Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province. From the time she was first put into the prison, to when she was assigned to the 8th brigade until now, she has always cooperated with Lei Runxiang to torture firm Dafa practitioners with inhuman ways.

Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Meng Qingyu from Yanji City, Jilin Province is over forty years old. He lives near the Eastern Market. He was arrested on the day of Chinese New Year, when he was giving out truth-clarification materials in a residence community, by officers from Xinxing Police Station. According to our information, he was put on a show trial on the 5th day after the New Year.

On the afternoon of February 16, 2007, Dafa practitioners Mr. Wang Changhui (lives around Shengousi) and Mr. Yu Jinjia (lives around Daxi Street) from Anshan City, Liaoning Province were arrested by officers from Niyuan Police Station while they were clarifying the truth in Jiubao. They were sent to the Yuemingshan Third Detention Center.

On the evening of July 1, 2006, Dafa practitioners Ms. Zhang Guirong and husband Mr. Zhang Jijiang, who live near Gaojiayuan residence area, Chaoyang District, Beijing, were reported and arrested by police Zhang Wang and others. On July 2, they were taken to Chaoyang District Detention center. They were transferred to Beijing City Detention Center, and again transferred back to Chaoyang District Detention Center after a month. On January 2, 2007, they were illegally put on a show trial at Wenyuhe Court, Louxinzhuang Village, Chaoyang District, Beijing. The judge was Zhu Xuhui. Their only evidence was that they found 20 some truth-clarification materials that were to be pasted in the public on Mr. Zhang and 7 on Ms. Zhang. The trial did not give any result at the time.

At around 1:30 p.m. on January 19, 2007, Dafa practitioner Ms. Li Enying and husband Mr. Li Chunfu from Tanghai County, Tangshan City were arrested by about 20 policemen, led by policemen from Tangshan City Police Station. At the time, the two practitioners were away from their home to avoid persecution, and they were in a fellow practitioner's home at Beiqingtuo Village, Changgezhuang Township, Xinjuntun Town, Fengrun County, Tangshan City. On January 25, Ms. Li was arrested in Shijiazhuang City Detention Center; she has been detained there since. Ms. Li is on a hunger strike to resist the persecution.

At night on February 14, 2007, Dafa practitioner Ms. Li Lankui was reported when she was passing out truth-clarification materials in Dongquancheng Village, Xin'an Town, Zhengding County. She was arrested by police officers from Xin'an Town Police Station, Zhengding County. She was then sent to the County state security, and was detained in Zhengding County Detention Center. The next day, policemen from Zhengding County Xiping Police Station, in collusion with officers from the County state security, went to Ms. Li's home and took a computer.

At around 4:30 p.m. on February 22, 2007, practitioner Mr. Duan Zongjian from Duanxi Village, Yanshigu County, Luoyang City, Henan Province was seen by the police when he was writing truth-clarification messages . He was taken to the police station. At around 7:00 p.m., a group of officers drove to Mr. Duan's home in Duanxi Village. They opened the door and took Dafa books and Dafa materials such as weeklies and amulets. Mr. Duan Zongjian's current location is unknown.

On January 12, 2007, Dafa practitioner Mr. Luo Libien, who had been arrested by Dongpo District 610 Office, state security, and Xiang'er Police Station of Meishan City, was transferred from Renshou County Detention Center to Dongpo District Detention Center, Meishan City. To resist the persecution, Luo Libien has gone on a hunger strike for many days and his health is in a very serious situation.

Dafa practitioner Mr. Xiang Benzi was originally from Macheng City, Hubei Province, and he went to Xiamen City, Fujian Province to work. On February 5, 2007, while he was working, he was arrested by officers from the department of political affairs of Siming District Police Station, Xiamen City. The police also violently searched his home, and took away a computer, cell phone and other personal belongings. The police detained him in the Xiamen City First Detention Center.

In 2000, Mr. Xiang was reported for xeroxing truth-clarification material. He was sentenced to 4 years in prison, and had been tortured in the jail in all different ways.

On the afternoon of February 23, 2007, Dafa practitioners Ms. Li Jiamin from Nachong City, and Ms. Bai Yin from Guang'an County were arrested by officers from Nanchong City Police Station, while they were clarifying the truth in the North-Lake Park. After being detained for one day in the police station, they were sent to Jialing District Detention Center on the afternoon of February 24.

Policewoman Wang Fen put them into small cells and forced them to stand for a long time, facing a wall. They are permitted to sleep for only three to four hours daily.

Officers from the Miyi County Police Department's Security Section, and Zhou Lin arrested practitioners Ms. Qiao Juyue and Ms. Lu Bo the morning of March 5, 2007. The arrest happened when the practitioners had gone to the county prosecutor's office to appeal for the arrested Ms. Lu Tao, Ms. Lu Bo's sister. Ms. Lu Bo has since been released, but Ms. Qiao Juyue is still being held.

Practitioner Ms. Zhou Zi was transferred to the Beijing Women's Prison in July 2003. Individuals at the prison's No. 3 Ward tortured her severely for refusing to give up Falun Gong practice. She was permitted to sleep for only one hour daily. All family visits, correspondence and phone calls have been forbidden.

Police forced Ms. Zhou to stand for a long time and poured cold water on her during winter. They exposed her to the hot sun during summer, making her faint several times, and her legs were severely swollen. She was transferred into the No. 10 Ward for further torture in June 2004. Police once had attempted to strip off her clothes to humiliate her. They failed due to other practitioners' resistance. The police deprived Ms. Zhou of sleep. The police did not permit her cell mates to eat or sleep, basing their decision on the fact that Ms. Zhou refused to give up Falun Gong practice. Consequently, her cell mates hatred was stirred up. They beat Ms. Zhou and spit on her. The police once forced all of her cell mates to kneel before her in order to persuade Ms. Zhou to give in.

Ms. Zhou was held in solitary confinement from November 2005 to December 2006. Two prisoners monitored her around the clock. Police prohibited her family from visiting and communicating with other practitioners. Ms. Zhou refused to wear the prisoner's identification tag or do forced labor in late July 2006. No. 10 Division chief Zheng Yumei beat her and put her into the Tight Administration Team for torture. Ms. Zhou held a persecution protest hunger strike and requested the officials to punish Zheng Yumei. Ms. Zhou has been released from there, but practitioners Ms. Li Guiping and Ms. Liang Zhansheng are still being held at the Tight Administration Team.

Practitioner Mr. Liu Jintao, 27 years old, is a graduate student of the Chinese Oil University. He is from Gaoqiao Town, Yishui County in Shandong Province. Liu Jintao got an interview at a foreign company toward the end of 2006. This company was only interested in the top four students. Mr. Liu was at the fourth place, however, the fifth place student reported to the job market agents that Mr. Liu practiced Falun Gong. Mr. Liu clarified the truth of Falun Gong to job market staff persons, but they didn't listen to him. They held Liu Jintao at the university and attempted to force him to write a statement promising to give up Falun Gong practice. Mr. Liu refused. It was heard that Liu Jintao had been transferred to a detention center during the Chinese New Year holiday.

Mr. Xiao Xiangyu from Anguo City went to visit practitioners who were held at the Balizhuang Forced Labor Camp in Baoding City on October 10, 2006, but was arrested and sentenced. Although he exhibited disease symptoms including high blood pressure, liver pain and nausea, he was still forcibly sent to a forced labor camp and held there until now.

Xiao Xiangyu was quarantined prior to the Chinese New Year for having tuberculosis symptoms. The forced labor camp officials initially claimed that Xiao Xiangyu's disease was not contagious but told his family to bail him out for medical treatment in order to shirk off their responsibilities.

A white-haired older woman practitioner clarified the truth to a person riding a three-wheeled cart at the Hongqi Market near the Xihua Park in Chendu City at about 10:00 a.m one day recently, and she also gave him some truth-clarifying materials. However, a woman standing nearby (perhaps a plainclothes police officer) grabbed the older practitioner and called 110 (emergency number in China). Soon after, policemen came and forcibly put the practitioner into a police car.

Practitioner Ms. Lu Lixian was sentenced to four years of imprisonment for Falun Gong practice. Her imprisonment term has expired, but she is still being held.

Top surgeons are advising New Zealanders not to go to China for organ transplants - for safety and ethical reasons.

China is under scrutiny amid claims the organs of thousands of executed prisoners are being harvested every year, without consent, for use in the burgeoning transplant industry.

The Royal Australasian College of Surgeons is advising New Zealand patients thinking about having a transplant in China to consider where the organ may have come from. John McCall of the Liver Transplant Unit at Auckland Hospital says China does not have well-developed systems, such as those in New Zealand and other Western countries, for deceased donor transplants.

Professor McCall says it is assumed that organs used for transplants in China come mainly or exclusively from executed prisoners. China rejects claims that followers of the banned Falun Gong movement may have been caught up in the organ trade.

Renal transplant physician Ian Dittmer says he knows of two patients who have gone to China for kidneys and returned with health problems.

Surgeons are urging the New Zealand Government to act, but a spokesman for the foreign affairs minister says the Government cannot verify the claims.

(Clearwisdom.net) Several days ago, my lower back started to hurt while I was eating dinner. I had a rest on the bed, but my back ached even more. I did the first exercise, but the ache only got worse. My lower back became stiff and it ached even when I was lying on the bed. I remembered that I am a Falun Gong practitioner. I asked Master to help me, but it didn't seem to work. What should I do?

I looked within myself for any attachment. I first thought that it was because I pulled on the brake too much while driving (that's how it appeared on the surface). This thought does not comply with the requirements of the Fa, but complies with ordinary people's mindset. No matter how tired a practitioner is, nothing bad should manifest, because Dafa is miraculous. So, I eliminated my unrighteous thoughts and then sent forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the old forces, the black minions, demons, the communist party evil specter and other beings and elements that were arranged to interfere with me. I half lied down and half knelt on the floor. Shortly after that, the pain disappeared. At around eight o'clock at night, I could sit in the double lotus posture and send forth righteous thoughts. The pain lasted for just over ten minutes.

This incident helped me enlighten to many principles. When tribulations occur, it is not that Master did not help us, but that our human notions are too strong. When our thoughts are righteous, they are powerful. If our thoughts are not righteous, they will bring negative effects. While passing this test, I also paid my karmic debt and my xinxing improved. On the surface, I am persecuted by these evil beings, but in fact, Master used this incident to help me improve my xinxing. Under the guidance of Master's Fa principles, bad things become good. This is the right principle.

During the Fa-rectification period, our thoughts are so important. Don't be afraid of tribulations. We need to constantly search inward, check whether our thoughts fulfill the requirements for practitioners, and assimilate to the Fa. Rectifying our thoughts and actions, and always looking inwards, are Master's requirements for practitioners.

Sometimes, when I share with fellow practitioners, I notice that many practitioners treat cultivation as doing things, and really do not know how to cultivate. (I am not here to criticize fellow practitioners, but to talk about my understanding of cultivation.) For example, how do we cultivate "compassion"? My understanding is that, when you truly stand in others' shoes and see things without human notions in mind, you will be able to cultivate compassion. It's just like Master said,

"From now on, whatever you do, you should consider others first, so as to attain the righteous enlightenment of selflessness and altruism." ("No-Omission in Buddha-Nature" in Essentials for Further Advancement)

One practitioner once fell down while driving a motorbike. His thought was very simple. He did not think about anything else. He simply said to himself, "Falun Dafa is good. Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance is good." He then recited the Fa-rectification verses. Since the incident happened at night time, there was nobody around. At first glance, it seems that the practitioner's thought was correct, but according to Fa principles, it was wrong. In the end, it turned out the practitioner had a broken bone. One day after he returned home, he still had righteous thoughts. He continued to study the Fa, but did not practice the exercises. On the next day, due to the pain, his righteous thoughts weakened. He lied in bed and did not get up. His wife (also a practitioner) advised him, yet he said, "You are not the one that's hurt, so you don't know how I feel." "Can you take me to the hospital?" Obviously, his faith in Master had been shaken. The old forces took advantage of his weakness and therefore arranged for this tribulation to test him, and even destroy his will. Then, even Master cannot help him.

Why did I say the practitioner's first thought was wrong? Because his first thought was an ordinary person's pursuit, begging Dafa to protect him, not a practitioner's righteous thought. After sharing with the practitioner, he was touched and said, "After cultivating for so many years, I still did not know how to cultivate. I am so regretful." His cultivation almost ended in vain. Now, his xinxing gradually improves and he started to do the exercises regularly. He is able to work and look after himself. This proves one principle: If we do not cultivate ourselves solidly, truly look within ourselves and eliminate attachments and bad notions, no matter how much good we do on the surface, it is the same as ordinary people doing Dafa work, not a practitioner doing Dafa work. Of course, when tribulations occur, it may be because our faith is shaken, so the evil takes advantage of that. Therefore, when tribulations occur, our faith in Master absolutely can not be moved. We should look within ourselves and find out why tribulations occur for us but not for others. It must be our problems, not problems of Master or Dafa. The Fa principles come forth in our righteous faith in Master and the Fa.

For example, if you have not let go of the fear of heat, cold and mosquitoes, how could you have a clear and calm mind? For another instance, in Zhuan Falun, Master has talked about an elderly practitioner being dragged by a car, her thought was very righteous. She said he was fine and in the end she was fine. When you are hit by a car, or when the evil police are persecuting you, can you let go of the attachment to life and death? How do you let go of the attachment to life and death? Master has talked about supernormal abilities and divine power. Did you think about using these powers when the critical time comes? Master has taught us the Fa. Only when we remember and measure ourselves against the Fa, is it actually cultivation.

Teacher said in "Solid Cultivation,"

"Study Fa, obtain Fa,
Compare in studying, compare in cultivating,
Examine each and every deed,
Accomplishing is cultivating. " (from Hong Yin, translation version B)

We should follow the different requirements of the Fa at different level and compare ourselves with diligent practitioners.

For so many years, I have overcome difficulties with firm belief and faith in Master. Whenever problems occur, I would use the Fa to guide me. Master said, "whoever enlightens obtains" (Zhuan Falun, 3rd translation edition). For example, Master often talks about the structure of the universe, and the immenseness of the cosmos. When I enlighten to the fact that the cosmos is truly immense, I can feel that the earth is just a cell in my body.

I would like to say a few words to fellow practitioners who are still struck in tribulations. Please see how diligent practitioners cultivate and read sharing articles on the Clearwisdom website. It is good for your improvement: "Compare in studying, compare in cultivating."

(Clearwisdom.net) I know a fellow practitioner who is young and single. A few years ago, she was illegally sentenced to forced labor. Because she consistently resisted the persecution, the guards were afraid to keep her in the labor camp. Before long, she was released and regained her personal freedom. After she was released, she always did the three things that Teacher told us to do. She doesn't have a stable job, but takes temporary work occasionally. Most of the time she does not work.

At times, fellow practitioners have introduced well-paying and easy jobs to her, jobs that anyone would be able to do. For those several years, because she did not have permanent job, her financial situation was really tight. Most daily necessities were offered to her from fellow practitioners. Since she lived with her parents, her family's financial and housing situation was tight as well. Her family always expected some money from her to help with the living expenses, but she only used what the family had without pitching in. Her family members always wished she would quickly get married. Because of the financial difficulty, there were more and more conflicts between her and her family members. She always cried and sometimes even thought about suicide. [Editor's note: The teachings of Falun Gong forbid killing, including committing suicide and self-injury.] Eventually, all the problems became more severe.

I would like to share with fellow practitioners, based on the problems above, but without referring to any particular practitioner or the practitioner I was just talking about above.

Practitioners cannot be attached to money, and everything we do should be based on saving sentient beings and cultivation. Every practitioner has his or her own special circumstances. However, some practitioners refuse to work for various reasons, such as not wanting to suffer conflicts and tribulations with employers and colleagues, the attachment of being slack, or being confused about the relationship between work and cultivation. Some young people use ordinary thoughts to go after optimal jobs. Other practitioners don't have much contact with society and are not willing to learn, and they have tried to escape or hide from society.

However, for practitioners, nothing occurs by chance. If we cannot get a job and more and more conflicts come up at the same time, it may mean it's time to raise our xinxing level. We should regard ourselves as practitioners, find our attachments, and eliminate them. If we cannot cultivate our xinxing while in the midst of conflict, and instead find excuses for ourselves, then we are not behaving in the manner of a cultivator.

Teacher often mentioned that we must not go to extremes. This is a principle of the Fa. If we truly are cultivating disciples, we should gain more understanding of the Fa and do our best. If we forget to look within or forget we are practitioners during conflicts, doesn't that mean our enlightenment quality is not good enough or we lack righteous thoughts?

Some fellow practitioners do not have financial problems, thus they don't pay much attention to this point. They may think that not working and having a tight financial situation would not bring severe consequences to the three things practitioners need to do. It would at most make our personal life a bit tighter. Actually, the Fa principle of not going to extremes is not for us to solve our work or financial problems, but to rectify our thoughts on every different level and help us enlighten to and validate the Fa better. It is not limited to a specific problem. For example, Teacher has corrected some specific problems in our cultivation, and has often mentioned that practitioners should not go to extremes and should be balanced and cooperate well. If we cannot understand the importance of the problems we encounter, and always think they are not related to our cultivation, then the next problem appears. The fundamental factor causing problems is the same and we still easily go to extremes. This causes more conflict. It is not because Teacher did not teach us the Fa, on the contrary, it is because we did not listen to Teacher or enlighten to the Fa well or even focus on it. Therefore, the result would be that we could not pass this test because Teacher did not mention it specifically.

If we are cultivating this way, it may be because we have not cultivated sufficiently, and so the same conflicts and mistakes occur repeatedly. This impedes saving sentient beings and validating the Fa. Therefore, for all the Fa that Teacher has taught, we need to enlighten to it with calm minds, and understand and accept it, and then we may improve quickly. When a problem comes up, we will then have a practitioner's wisdom and the ability to solve the problem freely.

Not everyone needs to work. Some practitioners are responsible for running truth-clarification materials sites daily, carry a heavy workload, and have no time to work in ordinary jobs. Some practitioners have consistent income, and some practitioners' spouses have well-paying jobs or savings. They are able to work full-time on the three things. This is very good. If practitioners don't have these circumstances, they should not go to extremes. If we work while validating the Fa, we can walk steadily on the path of Fa-rectification. In fact, many situations have occurred where practitioners could not give up attachments or were afraid of facing difficulty. This may bring more tribulations to our cultivation path. Sometimes, when we really give up the attachment and face the conflict, we will find that it is not hard to overcome the problem, because we are practitioners and Teacher always takes care of us.

This is just my understanding at my present level. Please point out anything improper.

(Clearwisdom.net) I started practicing Falun Dafa in 1999.

In the years before I encountered Dafa I constantly pondered these questions, "Why did we come into this world? Why do we live? We work so hard, but we have nothing in the end." I felt sad and helpless.

I visited my parents during the 1999 Chinese New Year. I saw my uncle who returned from the provincial capital city. He was teaching Falun Gong to my parents. He brought Dafa books including Zhuan Falun, The Great Consummation Way of Falun Dafa, and exercise tapes. I was instantly drawn to the Fa principles and learned Dafa and all of the exercises from my uncle within a few days. I felt calm and refreshed like I had never felt before. The heaviness was lifted from my mind. I knew the true purpose for being born was to return to our true, original selves.

Several months after I started practicing Dafa the wicked Communist Party began bombarding the public with vicious lies about Teacher and Dafa. I had only read Zhuan Falun once and I didn't have a deep understanding of Fa principles. Although I knew Dafa was good and I felt the TV programs were lies fabricated by those in power as an attempt to justify the persecution, and true Dafa practitioners would never do those things, I nevertheless stopped practicing Dafa because of the overall scenario. I was then the only person practicing Dafa in my town. The officials came to my home and told me to hand over my Dafa books. I made up some excuse and did not give them my books. My non-practitioner husband told me to burn the books. My husband always had his way. I pretended to agree with him, but I actually hid the books. I did not study the Fa well and did not have a good understanding of Fa principles. I also had notions and attachments, and I thus did not create a cultivation environment.

I am a seamstress and have several apprentices. Our home consists of two rooms - one is the kitchen and bedroom for my husband and me, and the other room is the shop and bedroom for the apprentices. My father-in-law often stays with us, so I had to sleep in the same room with the apprentices. I stopped practicing Dafa, but I never gave up cultivation in my mind. I thought, "When the cultivation environment is restored in the future, I will continue practicing Dafa."

When I later resumed Dafa practice, as I continuously improved my understanding of Fa principles and examined my mindset I had at that time, I felt ashamed and regretted living as an ordinary person and regretted not conducting myself as a Dafa disciple. Teacher said,

"One's environment is created by oneself." (Lecture at the First Conference in North America, March 29-30, 1998, New York)

I made excuses for my attachments and my level dropped. I wasted lots of precious time during those years.

I returned to cultivation in 2004 by Teacher' compassionate arrangement. We moved to a county town. We bought a house there and rented a clothing shop. Soon after we opened for business, one morning as I walked to open the gate I looked up and suddenly saw the phrases "Falun Dafa is Good" "Truth-Compassion-Tolerance is Good" posted on the side of my shop. I was overjoyed and immediately realized Teacher was reminding me to quickly return to Dafa. When I went home at night I took out the Dafa books I had hidden. When I opened Zhuan Falun I immediately saw Teacher's kind eyes! Each time I confronted a seemingly overwhelming tribulation, the compassion in Teacher's eyes would always appear in my mind and encourage me to diligently strive forward.

That is how I returned to Dafa practice. At first I thought, "I'll just secretly practice Dafa and not let anyone know about it, including my husband and my children, so they won't interfere with me." I didn't even tell my uncle who introduced me to Dafa and taught me the exercises. I practiced at home on my own for six months. During this time in my dreams I constantly saw my uncle reading new books. I suddenly realized Teacher was telling me to find other practitioners as they have new Dafa books.

I went to my uncle. When I explained my purpose he told me that they had never stopped Dafa practice, validating Dafa or rescuing sentient beings. He gave me a copy of Teacher's new articles and the "Minghui Weekly". I knew by then that Dafa practitioners inside and outside of China had been fulfilling Dafa disciples' responsibilities of validating the Fa and rescuing sentient beings for a long time. I had wasted several years of precious time, and yet I thought I firmly believed in Teacher and Dafa. I cannot express my regret in words. I also realized the magnificence of Dafa and Teacher's boundless compassion. Teacher does not want to give up on a single practitioner, despite the difficulty of Fa-rectification. He constantly prompted me in my dreams and helped me realize the important missions of Dafa practitioners in this world. It is not only personal cultivation to reach consummation.

I unhesitatingly returned to Fa-rectification and began validating Dafa and rescuing sentient beings. I decided to become a true Fa-rectification period Dafa disciple.

Soon afterwards, one night when I was half asleep, I felt as if something was covering me and immediately heard a thick voice, laughing for a long time. My body shook in the laughter and I could not move. Vaguely, I saw a golden Buddha laughing. I realized Teacher was again cleansing my body for me. Teacher was laughing because he was happy one more of his disciples had returned. I was really excited and truly felt Teacher's boundless compassion.

Although I was not diligent on many occasions while doing the three things in the past few years, I will strengthen my righteous belief and continuously correct myself in the Fa so Teacher will be pleased at my progress and will not have to worry so much about me.

Before I began practicing Falun Dafa, I always used low quality wheat, which was created by sifting bad wheat and dirt into the grain I sold to the state during the wheat harvesting season. This year, my thinking changed since I am now a Falun Dafa practitioner. In Zhuan Falun, Master requires us to:

"Practice cultivation according to the characteristic of the universe, Zhen-Shan-Ren. You must completely dispose of the desires of ordinary people, immoral thoughts, and the intention of wrongdoing."

I realized that I should not do those things which cause me to lose virtue. What should I do then? I kept the low quality wheat for myself and handed over the high quality wheat to the state.

Also, when the sold grain was poured into the warehouse, one of the workers who is my friend helped me pour the wheat into it. He deliberately left about six pounds of wheat in each bag and gave them back to me with a meaningful glance, giving me a hint to quickly take the bags to the vehicle. Seeing this, I immediately told him, "No, we can't do this" I quickly poured the wheat out of the bags and into the warehouse. I thought that was what I should do as a Falun Dafa practitioner.

At the upper end of my contracted land, there were about eight families who used the irrigation system there. The water flushed a big opening in the road, and a few carts of dirt were needed to fix it. Although I did not do my irrigation there, I didn't think it was a good idea for people to walk on it. Since I am a Falun Dafa practitioner, I should do things according to how Master taught us and consider others first when doing things. I used the dirt to fill in the big opening in the road. Later, some people commented with a sarcastic tone, "There truly are people living like Lei Feng." I smiled after I heard this, thinking that it is very difficult for ordinary people to understand the views of practitioners.

After studying the Fa for over six months, I now understand that a practitioner should follow the characteristics of the universe, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.

Greetings, Revered Master! Greetings Fellow Practitioners!

Recently, I had several experiences ranging from being arrested in front of the Chinese Embassy, to spending several months contesting charges in court, to being illegally held in prison for ten days.

During that period, some practitioners enlightened that it was the manifestation of the showdown between good and evil in Singapore. Many overseas and local practitioners came to the subordinate court to give their support, and they helped send righteous thoughts in close proximity.

I would like to share my thoughts and experience regarding the "July 20" Case in Singapore, and my understanding on what the old forces' arrangements are and how to break through them.

About the old forces' arrangement, Master Li mentioned it in "Teaching the Fa at the 2002 Fa Conference in Philadelphia, U.S.A." Master said,

"As I've said, if no beings had persecuted Dafa they could all have a benevolent solution. But I knew that if all beings in the cosmos were that good then there wouldn't be a need for Fa-rectification. They were sure to surface, it was just a question of what form it would take. So that created a test for our Dafa disciples. That's all. This is a kind of natural manifestation, but, this type of arrangement by the old forces, this careful arrangement, this really systematic arrangement that goes from top to bottom, that's a first-ever. And this massive tribulation is really enormous. What you experience and perceive is just the manifestation in man's society, but what I see is utterly shocking to even the beings of the greater cosmos. "

Master also said in the same Fa-lecture,

"So all things aside, in this persecution the evil beings have the worst goal, while the old forces that have manipulated the evil also have their goal. And what's their goal? It appears that they're using those evil beings to do evil to Dafa disciples and Dafa in order to have Dafa disciples be supposedly "matured through tempering" and to weed out those who don't deserve to be Dafa disciples, and along with this to use the sins that the evil beings have committed against Dafa disciples to destroy them and purify the cosmos. That's what the old forces have arranged. Sounds so noble, doesn't it? But it's not! Their real goal is to get what they want out of this. This isn't cultivation with a small reach--it's the cosmos going through Fa-rectification. Everything is just too trivial to even mention next to the Fa-rectification--nothing begins to compare. You can't compare things that occur in personal cultivation with the Fa-rectification."

Regarding the old forces local arrangements in Singapore, I realized that the old forces arranged Singapore's current National system and the strict laws as well as the Singapore people's fear and their attachment to comfort. It also arranged a tyrannical political system that requires people to listen to it all of the time.

When the ex-head of the 610 Office of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), Li Lanqing, visited Singapore, the Singapore authorities unreasonably took practitioners to court who were clarifying the truth.

While Falun Gong practitioners were urgently calling for support to stop the CCP from harvesting organs from living practitioners and calling for people's conscience and kindness, the Singapore authorities made the wrong choice in the face of the critical issues of right or wrong and kindness or evil. The Singapore authorities, including the police, the courts, the prison system, the immigration department and the media, etc, directly participated in persecuting Dafa practitioners, disregarding the justice of the law and basic human conscience. They misled many innocent Singaporean people. Later, Singapore's Falun Gong case was used by the CCP to manipulate some Mainland media and websites to do negative propaganda on Falun Gong and mislead many innocent Mainland Chinese people as well, and it worsened the persecution for Falun Gong practitioners in Mainland China.

We all know that the root cause of persecution is from the evil specter behind the CCP, but from the court case, we also saw that Singapore authorities chose to ally themselves with the evil. During the trial session, the government attorney (the prosecutor) put photos of evil Jiang and a wooden toad in the courtroom. This exposed that

the Singapore authorities were manipulated by the evil factors of the evil CCP specter.

Every life has the opportunity of choosing to be saved in front of the Dafa of the universe. However, if there is life that obstructs this opportunity that causes many lives to not be saved, then this is criminal in the Fa-rectification process in this universe. If the Singapore authorities continue making wrong choices, then the consequences could most likely be that this country doesn't have a future and many sentient beings will not get saved and will lose their opportunity of being saved.

The Singapore authorities' direct participation in persecuting Falun Gong directly impacted the Singapore Dafa practitioners. Since July 20, 1999 when the persecution of Falun Gong in Mainland China started, Dafa practitioners' personal cultivation has changed to Fa-rectification cultivation. What the Singapore practitioners are enduring currently is far beyond the tribulations of personal cultivation. This persecution seems to be against some individual practitioners, however, every practitioner is a particle of Dafa. This persecution essentially is against Dafa, against clarifying the truth and against saving sentient beings. Therefore, it's against all Singapore practitioners.

All of our Dafa practitioners should completely negate the old forces' arrangements and tests. We refuse to endure any tribulations that the old forces try to arrange for us.

During the ten days I stayed in prison, I was treated as a true prisoner. I lost the most basic of freedoms. I lived in a very limited space and was subject to different prison rules. I didn't eat much in the prison. When I was hungry and very thirsty, sometimes I even looked forward to the meal time of the prison. When I was feeling suppressed, I felt better during the one hour when the prisoners were let outside. I found that I started to get a type of thankful thoughts in my mind. Later, I realized that this was like the symptoms of a disease. I then used my righteous thoughts to eliminate these wrong thoughts. A Dafa disciple shouldn't have been sent to prison to begin with. During the last one and a half days, I protested by not eating anything. Being hungry is just a feeling. I didn't have such thankful thoughts for any food, water or time to go out for fresh air. I didn't commit any crime. I completely negated this arrangement from the bottom of my heart.

A senior official once said to me, "For example, I'm the Father, you're the son. The Father has a good friend, as a son, you accuse the good friend of your father of doing bad deeds. Do you think your father will be happy about it? You're a mature man, you should understand what I mean." Singapore government officials often expressed that it would be good if you only do the exercises and don't affect the relations between Singapore and China. Singapore is a small country, and is special.

In this environment, Singapore practitioners experience great pressure in holding Fa-rectification activities. Fellow practitioners always argue about the methods of clarifying the truth. Why can we not protest the CCP's persecution in Singapore? Some practitioners said, didn't the government let Falun Gong register legally? Why would we feel thankful for this tiny living space? Some practitioners accepted in their notions that Singapore is special. However, if we use the principles of the cosmos' Fa-rectification to measure it, this doesn't comply with the Fa-rectification's requirements.

Master says in "Teaching the Fa at the 2004 Western U.S. Fa Conference:"

"Dafa and its disciples oppose the persecution, that is Dafa disciples' duty. If you don't cultivate yourself based on the Fa, you can't cultivate higher by just enduring persecution, much less reach the standards for a Dafa disciple. Don't acknowledge this so-called 'environment' that the old forces have provided, because during the Fa-rectification I would have had all beings assimilate to Dafa, and it wasn't at all necessary to temper Dafa disciples amidst this kind of evilness. The Fa-rectification will definitely succeed, and Dafa disciples will definitely succeed."

I realized that we are cultivating ourselves in opposing the persecution. Establishing the reasonable environment of clarifying the truth is the responsibility of Singapore practitioners. It should be led by the Dafa practitioners.

Master also says in "Teaching the Fa at the Western U.S. International Fa Conference:"

"Human society is in delusion, and people cannot see how the cosmos truly is or the real situation of beings. That's how beings are at this level, but the situation during the Fa-rectification is presided over by Dafa and it changes according to what is required so that Dafa can save sentient beings."

When the evil persecutes Dafa and Dafa practitioners, we should stand out with dignity. The challenging environment shouldn't block us from validating Dafa. As Dafa practitioners, we play the leading roles during this historical period. We need to establish the environment so we can validate Dafa, protect Dafa, and save sentient beings. It is the mission of Dafa disciples, and Master's and Dafa's choice.

Recently, several articles on Minghui, the Chinese edition of the Clearwisdom website, enlightened me. One Mainland practitioner realized that opposing the persecution is not just clarifying the truth and exposing the evil. The most important thing is not to accept the old forces' arrangements, to use righteous thoughts to negate the old forces' arrangements, to send forth righteous thoughts to completely dissolve the old forces, to assist Master in Fa-rectification and to clearly recognize the missions and responsibilities of Dafa practitioners. The persecution was started by the old forces, but Master never acknowledged it. Master said a long time ago that this is not persecution of humans against humans. The old forces are the main factors in this persecution. The persecution in the human world is just a reflection in this dimension. Therefore, resisting persecution of our practitioners can't be restricted to only this human world. We should have a deeper understanding in our minds. Dafa practitioners should recognize what the "old forces" are, and use our righteous thoughts and power to eliminate them. Isn't this a more effective way to fight the persecution? Whether Dafa practitioners study the Fa well enough directly affects the level of clearly seeing the "old forces" and impacts the effectiveness of sending forth righteous thoughts.

I realized that completely negating the old forces' persecution is truly carrying out well the three things that Master asks us to do - studying the Fa well, sending forth righteous thoughts, and clarifying the truth. These are the basic requirements of a Dafa practitioner to save sentient beings.

After I was declared guilty in court on November 30, I was taken to the detention center in the basement. The police intentionally made me walk with handcuffs in front of many practitioners and let everyone see me being taken into custody. Several practitioners waved at me. I felt sad. I think the government was attempting to use this to scare other practitioners.

I was released on December 9. When I saw some practitioners greeting me outside the prison, I was very moved. The same day, there were plainclothes police taking photos from a distance, but the fellow practitioners were not intimidated by the pressure.

One official in the prison once told me, "I saw that you guys are so persistent. Falun Gong must be good. I want to know what Falun Gong truly is." This means if we are not afraid of pressure and continue with the effort of clarifying the truth, people will truly awaken eventually.

We should continue with our efforts to clarify the truth. I hope the Singapore authorities can be awakened too. During this period, if our Dafa practitioners can persist well, it will make the Fa-rectification and cultivation environment better in Singapore. Before the Fa-rectification ends, all humans still have the chance to be saved. We should cherish every minute to do what we are supposed to do and fulfill our prehistoric oaths.

Finally, let's use one of Master's poems from Hong Yin for the mutual encouragement of fellow practitioners.

"Assisting the Fa:"

"You resolved to save sentient beings,
And assist Master as he
journeys this human world;
Come now, and help me turn the Falun,
When the Fa is fulfilled,
Heaven and Earth will be yours to travel." (Hong Yin, Version A)

I am 52 years old and obtained the Fa eight years ago.

Why was I born into this world? This question has been in my mind since I was young.

Before I obtained the Fa, I was a Buddhist and had been searching for some religion or some forms of cultivation that could help me abandon the secular world. Subsequently, I became a Falun Dafa cultivator.

I consider myself very lucky to have been able to obtain Falun Dafa at this moment, allowing me to understand unsolved questions and find the righteous path.

By practicing Falun Dafa, I came to understand the meaning of

"...one's life is not meant for being human--it is meant for you to return to your origin." (Lecture Four, Zhuan Falun, 2000)

I told myself, "I had reincarnated many lifetimes and I must follow Master to return home for this life time, and not be here again." I was even more fortunate to be with Master during the Fa rectification period and to assist Master. Master has borne for us all so that we could consummate. I am very touched by Master's magnificence and benevolence.

Falun Dafa is good. Falun Dafa is the righteous Fa. There is no doubt about it in my heart. Having cultivated in the Fa for eight years, there is a great difference in my state. In the beginning, it was only personal cultivation, and understanding that "...cultivation depends on one's own efforts while the transformation of gong is done by one's master." (Zhuan Falun) With more Fa study and the daily practice of the exercises, everything is taken care of by Master. This is really very good, very convenient! I told a friend of mine, "Master Li indeed is a remarkable enlightened being."

However, since Falun Gong has been persecuted, many incidents happened regarding Falun Gong. From the Minghui/Clearwisdom website, we are able to access experience sharing, cultivation stories and Master's recent articles. These made me realize that cultivation of Falun Gong is not just a personal matter but concern the sentient beings of the whole human world and cosmos. I was enlightened to the meaning of "assisting Master in the human world" and realized the historic mission and the purpose of being in the physical world.

During the brutal persecution of Falun Gong by the CCP, I was steadfast with righteous thoughts in stepping forward with fellow practitioners.

I was able to coordinate with the rest of fellow practitioners, however at times many human notions surfaced. Yet I could still overcome and complete the work.

Last year, I was recommended by a practitioner to help out with "Sound of Hope" to be a news presenter. The news broadcasting requires the use of software and computer recording, downloading and uploading to the website and broadcasting by the station.

I had no experience in broadcasting at all, was a computer illiterate and dared not touch the computer for fear of damaging it. Fortunately, a fellow practitioner spent about three months on Sunday afternoons teaching me the use of the computer, and finally I was able to operate it.

In the beginning, I tended to forget things and missed a procedure, keyed the wrong button and did not know how to undo it. At that moment, I felt helpless, just to describe my situation, and I was confused and panicky, and the feeling was not pleasant.

I remembered my first time doing news broadcasting, which was just 5 minutes, but it took 4 hours to do the recording. During the recording, I was faced with many problems and had to consult a fellow practitioner. I was very thankful to this practitioner who patiently explained to me over the phone, enabling me to complete the work.

I have been doing the program for a year now. After much practice, I am now able to operate the computer well and it is much easier now. Because of my cultivation of Falun Gong, I have been many places and learned many things. I am able to understand many principles with Master's guidance. I was very fortunate to be involved with the broadcasting. This is also one avenue for truth clarification and saving sentient beings.

I felt a bit sad writing this experience sharing because I was not very diligent in truth-clarification and exposing the evil. I still harbor human notions in my thinking. I read the articles from Minghui/Clearwisdom by overseas practitioners on how they were subjected to intense persecution and yet still remained steadfast.

This made me admire them and I was ashamed of myself.

During one sharing with a practitioner, her words awakened me. She said, "There is magnificence in the midst of the ordinary. Do not be attached to doing big or small tasks. We should make good use of our environment to do things flexibly. It would still be remarkable even if we could only do a bit every day, given that we persist in what we do."

Her words gave me motivation, and it felt like it was from Master using her mouth.

No words in the world can express Master's compassion and magnificence and my respect for Master. I am grateful for everything Master has done and this is really from my heart.

Greetings Master! Greetings everyone!

I am a practitioner in Singapore who obtained the Fa in December 2004 through a former colleague. He introduced me to the FGMTV website, from which I watched many videos and movies on such issues as the Celestial Eye, past civilizations, and Mayan predictions. This aroused my curiosity about life in general. Later, he showed me "On Buddha Law" in Zhuan Falun. I was a Buddhist then and after reading the "On Buddha Law," I found that Falun Dafa is Buddha Fa. Since then, I started to listen to all the Zhuan Falun Lectures. I become very excited after reading the book. Through further reading of others of Master lectures, I realized that Master is the person who came down to earth to save sentient beings during the end of Dharma period. In the past, I had learned from Buddhism that one who gets to hear the Buddha Law in human form is considered very lucky. Now that I know that I am here in the same lifetime as Master, it would be big waste if I missed this rare opportunity. I therefore made up my mind to cultivate Falun Dafa.

After reading and discovering what I want in my life, I started to learn the five Falun Gong exercises on my own, from the Falun Dafa website. Later, I found a practice site near my workplace. In the past, I had a history of thyroid disease. It had begun 3 years ago, and a major symptom was an accelerated heartbeat. It was under control after taking medication for a year and a half. The medication reduces my body hormone level to control my fast heartbeat, however, the side effect was that I gained weight. However, after practicing the five exercises for about one month, I slimmed down to my normal size. Surprisingly, my heartbeat also became normal. If I did not practice Falun Gong, slimming down back to my normal size would mean a highly possible relapse, with my heart beating fast again. But now, not only is my heart beating normally, I felt myself lighter while walking, even when carrying a heavy bag. Also, when I started practicing the exercises I could sense movement in my body. I could sense a drilling feeling in my forehead where my celestial eye is located. All of these miracles happening enhanced my confidence in my cultivation path.

A few months after I began my practice, the volunteer assistant of my practice site showed me how to send righteous thoughts. Since then, I tried to adhere strictly to the righteous thoughts timing. I try to keep focus and awake every time when I am sending forth righteous thoughts. In a few weeks, I could sense small amounts of energy emitting from my palm and a force pressing down on top of my head which enabled me to remain clearheaded. After several months, the energy emitted became stronger and stronger and it also came out of other parts of my body. This has greatly enhanced my confidence in sending righteous thoughts to eliminate the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) evil specter.

Master said,

"Under any circumstance, in any period, and no matter how busy you are with your work, you can't stray from your Fa-study, as this is what fundamentally ensures that you will improve and reach Consummation." ("Teaching the Fa at the Washington, D.C. International Fa Conference," Guiding the Voyage)

I realized the importance of studying the Fa. If I do not study Fa every day, I may fail to pass xinxing tests arranged by Master. Because we are mingling with all kinds of people, we might easily forget that we are a practitioner. Every morning, I wake up early, and after sending forth righteous thoughts, I will study the Fa before going to work. After returning home from work, whenever I have time left, I will read more of the Fa.

Master has mentioned in Zhuan Falun, Lecture One:

"Every aspect of xinxing must be upgraded for you to make real progress. This is a crucial factor in improving gong potency (gongli)." (Third Translation Edition, 2000)

Therefore, I emphasize cultivation of xinxing everyday. I came to understand that whenever we are in conflict with other people or if we witness someone else in conflict, we should always look within to see what attachment we might have. Since my cultivation path started, I realized that my day-to-day encounters were all arranged by Master for me to see my long-hidden attachments. Soon after I obtained the Fa, a new colleague joined my company who was highly regarded by our superior. In the past, I would have felt jealous, and even have sleepless nights because of my combative heart. But now, when I behaved as a cultivator, I no longer was concerned about status and I am able to sleep peacefully every night.

I have come to understand that anyone we encounter is a person we should clarify the truth to. Therefore, whenever I leave my house, I bring along truth-clarification materials. I give out truth-clarification materials to those whom I meet. If the situation allows, I try to talk to them as well. As I am the only practitioner in my neighborhood, I believe it is not coincidental for me to be there to save the people around me.

Master has emphasized the importance of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party in saving Chinese people. Due to the CCP's slander of Falun Gong, many people refused to accept our truth-clarification materials. The release of the Nine Commentaries has helped these people to know the true nature of the CCP and they have become more accepting of to our truth-clarification materials. With righteous thoughts, I found the location of Chinese workers' dormitories and went there to distribute the Nine Commentaries.Master has also mentioned the importance of righteous thoughts when saving sentient beings. On one occasion while I was distributing the Epoch Times newspaper, a security guard asked me to stop distributing them because a Chinese person had complained to him about me. I sent forth righteous thoughts and a miracle happened. Another security guard started to argue with him, saying that the papers are legal in Singapore and so it is perfectly fine to distribute them there. As a result, I was able to continue passing out the papers. On another occasion, it was pouring rain when I arrived at the distribution area. Knowing that distribution of truth-clarification materials is such a sacred activity, I had a thought in my mind that nothing could stop me from saving the Chinese people. A miracle happened. The rain soon stopped and I began my distribution of the Epoch Times.

The first time I tried to help Chinese people quit the CCP, it took me a whole evening. That night I talked to a group of Chinese workers. I urged them to quit the CCP and its affiliates for their own safety. I told them that we cultivators are not interested in politics. I was very happy when one of the workers finally agreed to quit the CCP, which greatly boosted my confidence.

At first, I was able to convince five Chinese workers to quit the CCP every evening. Now I can facilitate more then 20 withdrawals every night. To make the quitting process easier for them, I asked them if I could make up pen names for those who wished to withdraw from the CCP. Many of them nodded in agreement. Some of them even wrote down their real names to quit the CCP. Once when I asked a Chinese woman to quit the Party, she immediately gave me her real name, along with the names of her husband and daughter. But I told her it won't count unless her family also agreed on their own initiative to quit. I called her the next day to make sure her husband and daughter indeed agreed to quit the CCP. On another occasion, a Chinese woman I met called me the second day, asking me to help her publish a long letter criticizing the CCP on the Epoch Times website, and at the same time help her and her daughter to quit the CCP.

As long as we do what our Master requires of us -- study the Fa, clarify the truth and send send forth righteous thoughts, Master will give us the very best.

(Clearwisdom.net) More and more people in China are awakening to the truth and realizing that they were deceived by Jiang and the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) into participating in the persecution of Falun Gong, either directly as government officials, police, labor camp guards, etc., or indirectly as practitioners' family members, who in many cases may have cursed Dafa, burned Dafa books, or interfered in various other ways to prevent practitioners from following their beliefs.
