(Clearwisdom.net) Minghui/Clearwisdom correspondent He Yu reports: Southwest Hospital in Chongqing City is suspected of harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners and it is on the second list of investigation targets for the Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong (CIPFG).

Recently, the CIPFG received many reports about the Southwest Hospital in Chongqing City. Some of the leads are provided as follows:

Beginning on May 7, 2006, Zhou Yongkang, the minister of Public Security, held a secret, two-day meeting at the Wanzhou Party School in Chongqing City. After the meeting, large groups of Falun Gong practitioners were transported in special fully closed trucks used in the judicial system, to Sanhe Labor Camp and Changtan Prison in Fenshui, Wanzhou. Tiemen Farm (a tea farm) in Zhong County is emptying its food storage to prepare for this purpose. These large prisons are located in the mountains 300 km from Chongqing City, where there are huge underground military structures built earlier by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). There are numerous ultra large-scale military hospitals in Chongqing City, including the Southwest Hospital, Daping Hospital, and Xinqiao Hospital, and there are large medical research facilities in the Third Military Medical University engaging in studies of the human body.

A kidney patient from Kaijiang County, Sichuan Province revealed on June 20, 2006 that Southwest Hospital in Chongqing City has access to an abundant and guaranteed organ supply for use in transplants. Patients staying at this hospital quickly receive matching organs for whatever organ is in need of replacing. This patient underwent kidney transplant surgery on July 7, 2005, and ten other people also received kidney transplants at the same time.

It was reported in July 2006 that Southwest Hospital is performing heart, liver and kidney transplants. In recent years, the Liver and Gallbladder Transplant Center at this hospital has carried out more than 100 liver transplants each year. Dong Jiahong is the head of the Liver and Gallbladder Department, Yang Kang is the head of the Heart and Chest Department, a doctor surnamed Liu is the head of the Kidney Department, and Wu Xiongfei is the head of the Urology Department.

The Liver and Gallbladder Department of Southwest Hospital first started doing liver transplants in 1999. In 2001, the Department was designated as an important laboratory for liver transplant in the People's Liberation Army (PLA). The General Logistics Department approved the hospital as a PLA Liver Transplant Center in March 2005. The hospital is capable of performing six liver transplants at the same time and completing 200 liver transplants each year. The hospital is planning to expand to include 150 beds in order to serve the needs of increasing demand from patients inside and outside China and to meet the need of large-scale development in liver transplant surgery. Up until the end of 2004, more than 260 liver transplants were completed at this hospital, making it number one in southwest China. The hospital also performed live organ transplant with an externally traumatized adult donor liver, a first in the world. The hospital also performed an emergency liver transplant to treat fulminant liver failure, the first in Mainland China. The center also helped and instructed 21 medical facilities in Jiangsu, Shandong, Guangdong, Shanxi, Henan, Yunnan, Sichuan, Xinjiang, Guizhou, Fujian, and Guangxi Provinces perform liver transplants. The center has since become a training center for liver transplant.

Liver and Gallbladder Department at Southwest Hospital

On July 19, 2006, CIPFG investigators called a patient in Chongqing City who received a liver transplant at Southwest Hospital in Chongqing City in early 2006. The patient's pseudonym is Hou Li, and the recorded telephone conversation is as follows:

Investigator: Hello, is this Hou Li?

Hou: Who is it?

Investigator: Are you Hou Li?

Hou: Yes.

Investigator: Hello, I just want to ask you about something. Did you have [liver transplant] surgery? I have a family member in Chongqing City, her liver is in very poor condition and [she has] liver cirrhosis. The doctor said she needs a liver transplant. I'm helping her to get the money [for the surgery], and I also have to help her get some information. How are you feeling now after the surgery?

Hou: Where are you?

Investigator: I have a family member who needs an operation, and I'm really anxious. I heard someone saying that some people get great results after the surgery, and some people don't feel very well. We asked a doctor and he said you got a good result after surgery and we could ask you about the situation. We can feel more confident about it through conversing with you.

Hou: There is absolutely no problem with surgeries at Southwest Hospital, you have to believe it.

Investigator: Did you receive surgery in xx [month] this year?
Hou: Yes, right now I'm undergoing examination. I receive monthly exams.

Investigator: How old are you?

Hou: I'm in my 50s.

Investigator: What kind of illness did you have?

Hou: Hepatitis B and liver cirrhosis.

Investigator: Are there lots of people who receive liver transplant at the hospital?

Hou: [Laughs] Lots and lots and lots, sometimes they do several [transplants] a day. This Southwest Hospital Affiliated with the Third Military Medical University is huge. The condition of the inpatient wards at Southwest Hospital is excellent. The surgery building is equipped with air conditioners. They can do kidneys, hearts and livers. I'm speaking the truth and I won't tell any lies, not like during the Great Leap Forward [a Chinese Communist movement from 1958 to 1962, a period when lies and exaggerations were the norm and millions of deaths were result]. Things like this cannot be made up. Come and check it out for yourself.

Investigator: How much does it cost?

Hou: They are all different. Some people spent between 210,000 yuan and 220,000 yuan, some spent between 180,000 yuan and 190,000 yuan, and some spent between 160,000 yuan and 170,000 yuan. It depends on your condition. It costs between 160,000 yuan and 170,000 yuan at the minimum. If the patient is in good health and doesn't require too many blood transfusions and nutritional infusions, it'll save you several tens of thousands.

Investigator: So how much did you pay?
Hou: I paid around 200,000 yuan including [post-surgical] exams. Right now I'm doing great.

Investigator: Do we still need to pay the liver donor?

Hou: No. The initial visits, surgery, liver and inpatient treatment are all included.

Investigator: How many days did you have to wait after you were admitted to the hospital ward before you could have surgery?

Hou: I waited for more than ten days after I went in.

Investigator: Did you wait at home after the initial exam, or did you stay right at the hospital and wait there for a dozen days for surgery?

Hou: I stayed right at the hospital and waited for a dozen days, and then I had surgery.

Investigator: What's your blood type?

Hou: My blood type is A.

Investigator: So it takes a dozen days' wait for blood type A. My family member is also type A, I don't know how long she'll have to wait.

Hou: As long as one month, but if you are lucky, you'll only wait a few days.

Investigator: How long is the surgery?

Hou: It's really fast, just a few hours.

Investigator: Did you wait for the liver after your abdomen was opened, or did they bring in the liver before they opened you up?

Hou: I don't know about the specifics, it seemed like the liver was prepared beforehand.

Investigator: Did you receive surgery in the daytime or at night?

Hou: I was scheduled to get it at night. The Southwest Hospital does surgeries 24 hours a day, day or night.

Investigator: How many people had liver transplants around the same time as you?

Hou: Six or seven.

Investigator: Did all of you get it on the same day or on different days?

Hou: Not on the same day, [some were] separated by a few days.

Investigator: Which doctor did you ask for at the hospital?

Hou: All of the doctors are good at the Liver and Gallbladder Department.

Investigator: Which doctor is good with surgery? Which doctor did your surgery?

Hou: Any doctor at the Liver and Gallbladder Department of Southwest Hospital is fine. I had Doctor Yang, Professor Yang and his team did it for me.

Investigator: What's the name of professor Yang?

Hou: Yang Ganyu.

Investigator: We heard that professor Bie Ping [at the Liver and Gallbladder Department] is also very good. Is there a doctor called Bie Ping?

Hou: Yes, yes, yes. His professional skill is very good, he does it very well. Professor Yang, professor Liu¡KLots of experts and professors are here. Each surgery needs seven or eight people. I can't explain it over the phone; you guys should come and see it for yourself.

Investigator: Do you know about the health condition of the person who provided the liver to you? We heard your donor was in his/her 20s. Was it a man or a woman?

Hou: I don't know about that, and I never ask about it. I'm OK with it as long as I get a good one. I guess [the donor] was young, how could they use an old one for me? I'm of this age myself. Southwest Hospital is such a large hospital; I believe they get all the best donors. The outcomes of their transplant surgeries are all very good, regardless of whether the patient is male or female, young or old.

Investigator: We heard that one hospital did three liver transplants in a month, and two of the patients died, I'm really worried¡K

Hou: It's not an issue at Southwest Hospital. It's well-known in the country. You can relax if you come here.

Investigator: Was the liver donor alive or dead?

Hou: [Laughs] Alive, of course I want a live one, it is good only if the heart is still beating. How can a dead one work?

Investigator: Oh, so you said [the liver donor] was alive?

Hou: [Laughs] Right, right, right.

Investigator: Can we ask the hospital ourselves for a young and healthy donor organ?

Hou: Yes. You can talk face-to-face with the doctor in charge of it. You must believe that it's young and healthy, how can they use an old one?

Investigator: Did you get whole liver transplant or partial liver transplant?

Hou: [Laughs] Whole liver transplant. My entire liver was removed. My family looked at the liver that was cut out.

Investigator: So, you had live whole liver transplant?

Hou: [Laughs] I'll stop here, you can go to the hospital and check it out yourself. You must believe in this Southwest Hospital. You can be 100% confident as soon as you transfer money to the hospital's bank account. (Hangs up)

In March 2006, the shocking crime of the Chinese Communist regime's harvesting of living Falun Gong practitioners' organs was exposed. It was revealed that inside Sujiatun Concentration Camp, several thousand Falun Gong practitioners, men and women, young and old, had their organs and corneas removed while they were still alive and sold before their bodies were tossed in crematoriums inside the concentration camp and burnt to destroy evidence. It has been revealed that at least 36 concentration camps similar to Sujiatun exist in China! This horrifying crime began in late 2000 inside labor camps, prisons, concentration camps and hospitals throughout China and has lasted up until now.

On April 4, 2006, the Falun Dafa Association and the Minghui/Clearwisdom website jointly established the Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong in China (CIPFG). The coalition is bringing together international forces of justice to completely and thoroughly investigate the Chinese Communist regime's crimes in the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners, to end this brutal persecution that has lasted seven years.

After more than two months of investigation and collection of evidence, on July 6, 2006, David Kilgour, former Secretary of State of Canada in charge of Asia Pacific Affairs and a senior member of the Canadian Parliament and David Matas, an international human rights lawyer, stood before the Canadian media with their "Report Into Allegations of Organ Harvesting of Falun Gong Practitioners in China." The report verifies the allegations that the Chinese Communist regime has been harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners and selling them for transplants in order to achieve the goal of genocide against Falun Gong. The Chinese Communist regime made tremendous profit and dragged countless people in the medical field, business field, political field, military field and judicial field into this bloody crime. Mr. Matas called the live harvesting of Falun Gong practitioners' organs "a grotesque form of evil¡Knew to this planet."

(Clearwisdom.net) After exposure of the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) inhumane and criminal practice of harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners and then cremating their bodies, the Falun Dafa Association and Minghui website (Chinese version of Clearwisdom.net) founded "The Coalition To Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong in China" on April 4, 2006. This coalition calls for people from all walks of life and any organizations to form a united investigation group to gather potential leads for investigating the illegal organ harvesting. We hope all kind-hearted people who have specific knowledge about this matter will come forward and expose the inside story of labor camps, prisons, and hospitals in China that are colluding to persecute Falun Gong practitioners. 3. Please investigate the truth of harvesting of Falun Gong practitioners' organs in Dalian City

Overseas Falun Gong practitioners and justice-loving people, please investigate the information about the No. 2 Hospital Affiliated with Dalian City Medical University regarding organ transplants. This hospital is located near Xinghai Park where the highest number of transplant surgeries in Dalian City are performed, even more so than at the Youyi Hospital. It was learned that the waiting time between entering the hospital and undergoing surgery can be as little as one week. This hospital is very close to the Huanbao Hotel brainwashing center where Dafa practitioners are illegally detained. The hotel is right behind the hospital.

4. Secret Inside Sealed Military Vehicles

We saw in early June 2006 that eight military vehicles drove down 309 National Highway into the PLA 285 Hospital. We have since been paying attention to the PLA 285 Hospital in Handan City, Hebei Province.

The temperature was 28^o C [82^o F] at the time, and yet the two ambulances among the eight military vehicles were completely closed up, which is very unusual. A rectangular-shaped vehicle that looked like a coffin with a chimney on top followed closely behind the ambulances. The sirens on these ambulances produce a different sound than the local ambulances and can be seen around 10:00 a.m., 5:00 p.m. or 6:00 p.m. each day. This activity lasted more than ten days. The time was around May 17.

We posed as patients in need of kidney transplants and talked to an acquaintance who is a doctor at the PLA 285 Hospital. He said, "Sure, we can do it. We've already done several surgeries [of transplants]." We conducted further investigations, which confirmed his words. The PLA 285 Hospital is currently performing organ transplant surgeries, with the organs coming from living bodies.

We suspect that inside the military ambulances we had observed along National Highway No. 309 in early June were Dafa practitioners. For more than ten days around May 17, we heard daily sirens wailing from military ambulances. They were also taking Dafa practitioners to the PLA 285 Hospitals. It is known that a large air raid shelter exists underneath the PLA 285 Hospital. After the atrocities at the Sujiatun Concentration Camp were exposed, the CCP was so frightened that it scattered Dafa practitioners locked inside Sujiatun and other publicized concentration camps. The regime then used military vehicles to transfer Dafa practitioners scattered to the air raid shelter underneath PLA 285 Hospital and hid them there.

We think that many Dafa practitioners are held in that air raid shelter. There are two entrances to the shelter. One inside a little hut besides the hospital cafeteria, and another inside the courtyard behind the hospital's pharmaceutical factory. Also, it has been verified that the storage facility for donor organs used for transplants provided by the court is in the air raid shelter underneath the PLA 285 Hospital.

5. Organ Transplants at the Handan City Central Hospital

Handan City Central Hospital performed a successful liver transplant surgery in May 2006. The patient has the rare blood type, AB Rh-negative, which is found in two out of every 1,000 people. Yet the hospital obtained a fresh matching liver within only 24 days. The surgery was performed at night. The patient has been doing well since, according to a local media report. We conducted investigations from different angles, and one doctor revealed, "The donor organ comes from the court. If you need one, you can contact the court beforehand."

The following explains the blood drawing patterns at some prisons and forced labor camps in the Jilin area, as remembered by Falun Gong practitioners.

During August and September of 2004, the prison drew blood from all illegally detained Falun Gong practitioners without any explanation.

On March 30, 2005, all Falun Dafa practitioners who refused to be "transformed" in Tiebei Prison, Changchun, were transferred. Twelve were transferred to Gongzhuling Prison. On arrival, prison personnel took their blood. A month later, all Falun Dafa practitioners who were detained at the Gongzhuling Prison had their blood drawn one more time. None of the other prisoners had their blood drawn.

According to some Falun Dafa practitioners who were illegally detained at the Heizuizi Women Forced Labor Camp in Changchun, camp staff took all Falun Dafa practitioners to the camp hospital to have their blood drawn for medical "exams" in 2000, 2001 and 2002. They did not draw blood from other prisoners. The only procedure that was done was a "Blood sample". Practitioners didn't know what was going on at that time.

Later, after some practitioners had been "transformed," the camp authorities no longer organized group blood drawings. But they continued to take those practitioners who refused to be "transformed" for blood drawing at different times and dates.

On July 9, 2005, many Falun Dafa practitioners from Guangzhou were arrested. A group of steadfast practitioners were taken to the detention center. Soon after we arrived at the Tianhe Detention Center, the prison doctor performed a physical exam on all of us. The result for everyone was "high blood pressure" (not actual diagnosis). Then they forced us to take medicines. We refused. They came often to exam us, using the excuse that they "cared about" us. The exams included measuring blood pressure, touching the liver, listening to heart and lungs, and eye exams.

At the end of 2000, several of us went on a group hunger strike. They thought that I was the leader. Therefore they "targeted" me. Four days later, I began to vomit - more than 20 times during the daytime and more than 10 times during the night. Each time I vomited half of bowl of black liquid. Two days afterward, I showed signs of dehydration. My weight decreased to less than 35 kg. I was so skinny and I looked older than 80 years. Everyone who saw me was shocked.

On the sixth day, a group of 6 or 7 male "teachers" from the detention center put foot shackles on me and took me to the Province Post and Telecommunications Hospital. After I arrived at the hospital, they did not try to rescue me; instead, several people pushed me down and took blood samples, did an electrocardiogram, electroencephalogram, took my blood pressure, and performed an eye, heart, lung, liver, and kidney exam. Afterward those male "teachers" locked me into a hospital ward and forcefully gave me an infusion of amino acid - 5 large bottles and 1 small bottle - for 8 hours. I saw doctors put some unknown drugs several times into the bottles. An evil policeman thought that my eyes were closed and thought I could not see anything. He adjusted the speed of drips faster and tried to increase my heart rate, and said wickedly: "Die quicker and save us the trouble."

On September 18, 2003, Tianhe 610 Office of Guangzhou took me from the forced labor camp to Tianhe Brainwashing Center. In the middle of October, I went on hunger strike to resist the persecution. A few days afterwards, a group of wicked people including Chen Changyi, the vice director of the Brainwashing Center, used the excuse of "caring" for my injured foot (a result from the torture in the forced labor camp) to take me to Guangzhou Tianhe Central Hospital for a physical exam. When taking an X-ray, they asked me look up, down, left, right, and forward; they asked me to turn left and right, and examined the entire body. Finally, they looked at my injured foot. Then, they did an electrocardiogram, electroencephalogram, B ultra, liver exam, listened to lungs, and measured my blood pressure. All these extra exams had nothing to do with the injury on my foot. At that time I didn't think more of it.

During the winter close to the end of 2004 and beginning of 2005, the leaders of the forced labor camp in Harbin came to the Changlinzi Forced Labor Camp. They conducted blood tests on all Falun Gong practitioners and other prisoners. It was a simple blood test and it was not during the peak time of any infectious disease.

We had never experienced such"care" before. There were many patients with pulmonary tuberculosis in the labor camp and the camp did not take care of these people. No isolation measures were taken against the disease and it spread to many inmates. The medical clinic in the labor camp had barely enough medicine for ordinary cold or flu, so how could they have medication for a more serious disease. Usually the labor camp asked the family members of the patients to bring cash and medicines.

The officers of the camp forced people to take a blood test, threatening those who did not wish to comply with reduction of their points and prolonging of their sentences. Some even beat inmates with electric batons. Most Falun Gong Practitioners were taken to the clinic and had blood work done during one entire day. Two or three Falun Gong practitioners resisted this effort. The next day, police called these few practitioners who didn't take the blood test the day before one by one. Several policemen pushed the person on the floor and took the blood. After that the blood tests were over. No one ever heard about the test results.

In the second half of 2005, Changlinzi Forced Labor Camp carried out a new method of management. They divided every unit, which had more than 95 people into totally closed, half closed, and open administrative district. And they grouped prisoners into strict period (no reduction in time), half open (reduction by 2 to 4 days) and open period (reduction by 6 days). The rules for grouping were not clear and the meaning was hidden from the inmates and practitioners.

I believe the change in management method was to cover up their crimes and destroy the evidence. I also believe that they tried to establish ways to put more barriers against investigations.

(Clearwisdon.net) Mr. Ye Fenglin, 44, was from Bijie City, Guizhou Province. He clarified the truth about Falun Gong efficiently at Zhongba Forced Labor Camp when he was persecuted there in 2002, which scared the evil people. In mid-June of 2002, he suffered sickness karma symptoms of fever and sweating. When he felt better two days later (on June 23), he was sent to the hospital of Zhongba Forced Labor Camp, then passed away there on the night of June 26.

The person on duty that night at the hospital (who had been sent to the labor camp for drug abuse) said, "He (Ye Fenglin) was chatting with us for a long time that evening, and went to bed after eleven o'clock. He was totally fine then. Why did he pass away so suddenly the next day? There must be some problems..."

Upon his death, the evil people cremated Ye Fenglin's body without informing his wife (also a practitioner); rather, his elderly parents were told. Five thousand yuan was given to his parents for the burial fees as compensation. The Zhongba Hospital had never issued such a large amount for burial fees before.

The notification of Ye Fenglin's death was blocked by Zhongba Forced Labor Camp. In July, other practitioners at the labor camp requested many times to see him, but were rejected with various excuses by the wardens. Not until more than twenty days later, when faced with an unavoidable situation, did the wardens tell all the practitioners detained at the labor camp about his death.

In the week following Mr. Ye's death, on July 2 and July 3, all practitioners at Zhongba Forced Labor Camp were arranged in groups to receive careful and general medical check ups, including CT Scans, X-rays, liver check ups, urine tests, blood tests, and even ultra-sound for men. This may be related to the intensive persecution that emerged two months later, or other malicious purposes.

During the period of the intensive persecution, the wardens did not bother to keep their hypocritical pretense of: "we promise with our dignity that we will not physically abuse Falun Gong practitioners." They beat practitioners and said, "We can kill you like killing pigs or dogs," "We won't let you die easily," or "We will let you feel like death is better than being alive." At the peak of the persecution, doctors from the labor camp hospital had to be on duty at the "Confinement Team" twenty-four hours a day. The torture that occurred in that period was inhumane and brutal. Practitioners were beaten, forced to stand outside the whole night, stripped of their clothes in cold wind, or forced to eat rotten rice rejected by dogs. These facts were exposed when some of the criminal inmates fought among themselves. Warden Pan Zhong said, "We acknowledge that we have brainwashed you and persecuted you, but we cannot accept that the Minghui/Clearwisdom website says we beat Ye Fenglin to death."

Could the above evidence about Ye Fenglin's mysterious death have anything to do with the allegations of live organ harvesting of Falun Gong practitioners in China?

(Clearwisdom.net) Sun Guizhi, 81, was a resident of Zhuanghe Guangmingshan Township, Dalian City, Liaoning Province. Her nickname was "Elderly Lady Huang." Ms. Sun began practicing Falun Gong before 1999. She had suffered from a number of ailments since her youth, including tuberculosis, liver disease, heart disease, and spinal problems. These all disappeared after she began practicing, however, and she no longer needed to take pills to maintain a normal life.

After the Jiang regime began persecuting Falun Gong in 1999, practitioners were under a great deal of pressure from the state-terror. But even during the most difficult of times, Ms. Sun did not fear this terrible environment or the persecution, and she helped to distribute Dafa materials, Master's articles, and the Minghui weekly magazine. She also went to villages along the coast several times to distribute Dafa materials and clarify the truth.

After the persecution of Falun Gong began, an official from Ms. Sun's workplace, Shang Jiachen, believed the lies of the CCP and became hostile to Dafa and practitioners. Ms. Sun and her husband had no children and were supposed to receive a pension from the government. Ms. Sun had spoken to Mr. Shang about this several times, but she and her husband received less and less money. On December 26, 2005, she heard that there would be a special New Year fund for elderly couples without children -- several hundred yuan per couple. She called Mr. Shang, and he confirmed the existence of the fund. He said that he would hold the money for her and that she could pick it up after the New Year. However, when she went to him after the New Year, he denied that there was any money for her. During 2006, he did not give Ms. Sun or her husband the full amount of their pension. She became very depressed after this and died on March 9, 2006.

"7.20" Incident in Inner Mongolia, Fifty People Illegally Arrested

On July 20, 2005, more than one hundred thousand copies of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, The Real Story of Jiang Zemin and Quitting CCP were distributed in Zhalantun City, Arongqi, Moqi and surrounding areas in Inner Mongolia. This occurrence shocked the Hulunbeier Public Security Bureau. Under orders from the Public Security Ministry, a "7.20" team was formed specifically to deal with the issue of Falun Gong. The case was handled under the direct supervision of the Public Security Ministry. According to the report on the website of the Public Security of Inner Mongolia, on March 27, 2006, a special team dispatched 168 policemen and more than 80 vehicles, who later arrested 40 Falun Gong practitioners in Zhalantun City and the Arongqi area. Ten practitioners were arrested in Qiqihaer City. The case is currently being secretly handled.

High Ranking Officials of Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Secretly Visit Shandong Province. More than 30 People Arrested within 20 Days

During the early part of April 2005, CCP top leaders Zeng Qinghong and Hu Jintao secretly went to Weifang City and the Shouguang area respectively. They went to these regions in order to address the issues of "Protect CCP’s Advancement," "Quit CCP" and the influence of the Nine Commentaries. Both of them gave orders regarding the situation. In May in Changle County, Weifang City, Shandong Province the 610 Office held meetings for all county and city 610 Offices to secretly arrange the details targeting arresting Falun Gong practitioners and people spreading the Nine Commentaries. Over the next twenty days, more than thirty Falun Gong practitioners from Shouguang, Changyi, Qingzhou and Zhucheng were arrested. On May 19, in Zhangling Town, eleven people were arrested. Later, many people were sentenced to prison terms and sent to forced labor camps.

A Large Number of Copies of the Nine Commentaries Appeared in Yancheng, Jiangsu Province. More than Thirty People were Secretly Arrested

According to a source, in mid-June 2005, a large number of the Nine Commentaries appeared in Yancheng of Jiangsu Province. The local CCP authorities secretly arrested at least thirty Falun Gong practitioners. The police claimed that those practitioners were political prisoners and prohibited their families from visiting them. Anyone who reports seeing one copy of the Nine Commentaries would get a 10,000 yuan reward. Anyone who reports a gathering of two or more Falun Gong practitioners would get a reward of 300 yuan.

Nine Commentaries Found in Houses. More than Ten People in Lvnan, Shandong Province are Sent to Forced Labor Camps

According to a source in the Lvnan Public Security of Shandong Province, in November 2005, the National Security Brigade, Chengnan Police Station illegally arrested nineteen Falun Gong practitioners. The materials, including Nine Commentaries and The Real Story of Jiang Zemin were found in these practitioners’ houses. Among them, practitioners Yang Guangzhen, Zhao Xiaowei, Liu Xi’e, Sun Maoqin, Zhang Yaqin, Yang Jihua, Li Shihua, and He Shicun were sent to forced labor camps. On the night of arrest, practitioner Han Guangmei was fiercely beaten and tortured for an entire night. She lost consciousness several times in the detention center and was sent to a hospital for emergency treatment where she lost consciousness three to four times. She is now lying in a hospital bed and is unable to move.

Accused of Having Falun Gong Materials and Nine Commentaries at Home, a Couple is Heavily Sentenced

The couple Xin Minzheng and Bao Junqin are Falun Gong practitioners in Panjin City, Liaoning Province. They were accused of making 1,100 CDs in their home. On September 12, 2005, Longtai District Court in Panjin City sentenced the couple respectively to 13 years and 12 years. The prosecutor said in the court, "The 1,100 CDs were discovered to have Falun Gong content and several of the Nine Commentaries." The couple appealed to the Panjin City Intermediate Court. The intermediate court found the case to have insufficient facts and evidence, and overruled the district court’s ruling. The case was sent back to the district court. Under the manipulation of the 610 Office, the district court kept the original ruling on the couple. Bao Junqin appealed again. On February 20, 2006, the case was brought back to the court for a second trial. But no conclusion to the case has been reached. The source said that the couple are facing possible terms of forced labor.

A Mother of Five Year-Old Child Sentenced to Seven Years for Having CDs of Nine Commentaries

On the morning of the day before CCP Chairman Hu Jintao visited the USA, Kaifu District Court in Changsha City of Hunan Province sentenced Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Gao Hui to a seven-year prison term on the grounds that 1,850 CDs of the Nine Commentaries were found in Ms. Gao Hui’s home.

For Having Copies of the Nine Commentaries, Shijiazhuang City Falun Gong Practitioner Ms. Sun Li Was Sentenced for Term of Five and a Half Years

On September 6, 2005, police searched Shijiazhuang City Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Sun Li’s home and found copies of the Nine Commentaries and Falun Gong materials. The Yuhua Police Department arrested her. During early March 2006, the Yuhua District Court sentenced her to a prison term of five and a half years. Sun Li appealed. On May 12, the Yuhua District Court submitted the case for retrial and kept the original sentence. According to a source, the five and a half year sentence given to Sun Li was pre-arranged by the Hebei Provincial Supreme Court, following orders from the 610 Office. Because Sun Li is a Falun Gong practitioner, she could not find a lawyer who would dare to represent her in challenging the CCP’s persecution policy on Falun Gong. Sun Li’s husband, Huang Panpei, had to assume the responsibility of defending his wife in the court. The lawyer Gao Zhishen in Beijing City who represented Falun Gong practitioner Huang Weili from Shijianzhuang City tried unsuccessfully to have the court accept Falun Gong’s case. Lawyer Gao then wrote two open letters to the CCP’s high-level leaders to expose the brutal facts of the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. For Mr. Gao efforts, the CCP closed his office and placed him and his whole family under long-term close surveillance. Sun Li is now detained at the Second Detention Center in Shijiazhuang City and is on a hunger strike to protest her illegal sentence.

Beijing Falun Gong Practitioner Lin Shusen Sentenced to Five Years in Prison for Having a Copy of the Nine Commentaries.

On April 28, 2005, while registering the people who rent houses in his district, policeman Fang Ge of Xinjiekou the Police Station in Xicheng District of Beijing found a copy of the Nine Commentaries in Falun Gong practitioner Lin Shusen’s home. He called in more police to ransack the home. The police took away Lin Shusen. On January 23, 2006, the Xicheng District Court of Beijing sentenced Lin Shusen to a five-year prison term. The court reasoned with the excuse that "In 2004, Lin Shusen published an article on the Minghui website with his real name about the persecution he and his fellow practitioners suffered. (‘Beijing Falun Gong Practitioner's Account of the Three-Year-Long Persecution Suffered in Qianjin Prison’ published on March 25, 2004)." Lin Shusen appealed but the appeal was denied. Sources said that Lin Shusen is currently on a hunger strike, and has shown symptoms of kidney malfunction. Lin Shusen was sent to the Beijing Public Security Hospital to face further persecution in the form of forced-feeding.

Because of Downloading the Nine Commentaries and Quitting the CCP on the Internet, A Person Incapable of Serving a Prison Term is Sentenced to Two and a Half Years

On May 10, 2006, the CCP law enforcement department of Luzhou City charged four people, including Jiang Jiyun and Liang Jinhui, as being guilty of "downloading Nine Commentaries and Falun Gong materials from the Internet" and of "publishing a declaration of ‘quitting the CCP’s three types of organizations,’" and sentenced them to two and a half and three and a half year prison terms respectively. The Xi’nan Law and Legislation Evaluation Center of Sichuan Province diagnosed Liang Jinhui with "having mental illness and being incapable of serving a prison term." Yet Liang Jinhui was still sentenced to a prison term of two and a half years. Liang Jinhui’s mother, Ms. Yuan Yuju, was imprisoned in Nanmusi Forced Labor Camp in Zizhong of Sichuan Province for a one-year term. Ms. Yuan Yuju received the same charge as the four other people. According the people working at the Law and Legislation area, "Even a person who has no knowledge of the law knows that Liang Jinhui, who is diagnosed with a mental illness, should not be sentenced. The Luzhou law system had no authority to give the sentence, but the pressure from higher authorities forced them to do it." The source also said that Liang Jinhui’s case has been handled under CCP central government official Luo Gan’s manipulation and is a direct order from the Politics and Law Committee.

Because of Carrying a Copy of the Nine Commentaries, Wang Zhige from Heilongjiang Province is Beaten until Disabled and Sentenced to Three Years in Prison

On March 27, 2005, Falun Gong practitioner Wang Zhige from Heilongjiang Province was on his way to his parents’ home in Fangzheng County when he was arrested for carrying a copy of the Nine Commentaries on him. The arrest was conducted by Chou Yongsheng, the head of National Security Section of Fangzheng County. Chou Yongsheng, along with policemen Dong Yansong and Weng Hongjun tortured and interrogated Wang Zhige for a long time, which caused a loss of vision in his right eye and one side of his body to become numb. In the end, they fabricated a false charge and sent him to Hulan Prison of Heilongjiang Province for a three-year prison term. In the prison, Wang Zhige was subjected to tortures from guards and criminals who tried to force him to give up Falun Gong.

United Nations Refugee Ms. Zhang Xinyi Sentenced to Three Years for Distributing the Nine Commentaries

Ms. Zhang Xinyi, 51, is a Falun Gong practitioner in Changsha City. Ms. Zhang and her husband are refugee applicants who are already under the protection of the United Nations Refugee Committee Office in Cambodia. In August 2002, Cambodian police, under the pressure of the Chinese Embassy, arrested the couple and deported them to China. On April 28, 2005, Ms. Zhang was illegally arrested when she was distributing Falun Gong materials and the Nine Commentaries in the Baoziling Community Area, Tianxin District of Changsha City. On August 4, 2005, a Tianxin District Court in Changsha City secretly sentenced her to three years in prison. Ms. Zhang is currently detained at Hunan Provincial Women’s Prison. Her family’s request to visit her was denied many times. Her situation is worrisome.

Ms. Wu Jingjuan, 55, was an employee of an industry and business institution in Jiedong County of Jieyang City, Guangdong Province. Because she refused to give up Falun Gong, she was sentenced to two years and detained at the Sanshui Women’s Forced Labor Camp in Guangdong Province. On October 25, 2005, Wu Jingjuan went to buy some groceries and carried a few CDs of the Nine Commentaries with her. Several plain clothed police tailed and arrested her. On January 12, 2006, the Jiedong County Prison sentenced Wu Jingjuan to a three-year prison term. On January 20, 2006, Wu Jingjuan appealed to the Jieyang City Intermediate Court and has heard no response.

Falun Gong Practitioner from Shengli Oil Field Bound to "Dead Person’s Bed" after Being Found in Possession of the Nine Commentaries in His Home

In May 2005, police of Huantai County Public Security Bureau of Shandong Province ransacked the homes of practitioners Zhang Aiquan, Wang Mingyun, and Yu Desheng, and found the Nine Commentaries and its collective version published by Broad Book Inc. The Shandong Provincial Public Security Department was shocked about the discovery and wanted to find out the source of the Nine Commentaries. The Special Team to Handle the Falun Gong Issue went to the Shengli Oil Field and conducted torture interrogations on the three practitioners. A witness saw that Yu Shengde had blood all over his body. The clothes of Zhang Aiquan were also reported to be covered with blood. The perpetrators bound the three practitioners on the "dead person’s bed" (1) for more than one month and were unable to get any information from the practitioners. On March 1, 2006, the Shandong Provincial Huantai County Court secretly tried the three practitioners. Since the trial’s conclusion, the practitioners’ families have not received any information regarding the court’s verdict.

Arrested After Providing a Copy of the Nine Commentaries out of Kindness to the Chief of a Police Department

In May 2006, Shan Tianchun, the chief of Huaide County Public Security Bureau, shopped at a store owned by Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Zhang Yuanhang. Ms. Zhang chatted with the chief about the truth of Falun Gong and suggested that he quit the CCP. Ms. Zhang also gave him a copy of the Nine Commentaries. Shan Tianchun refused her kindness. Several days later, Shan Tianchun, along with tens of policemen from the Daling Town Police Station, broke into Zhang Yuanhang’s home and illegally arrested her. Ms. Zhang Yan, Zhang Yuanhang’s sister, tried to stop their unlawful action. The police also took away Ms. Zhang Yan. The two sisters are now detained in the Gongzhuling City Detention Center.

After the incident, Zhang Yan and Zhang Yuanhang kept clarifying the truth to the police. Sources said that the Politics and Law Committee of Gongzhuling City intended to illegally sentence them.

Two Older People Arrested for Distributing the Nine Commentaries. Their Whereabouts are Unknown

Mr. Zhou Guangxiong, 65, is from Zhouguozhengyuan, Yuchuan Town, Wuxue City of Hubei Province. In 2005, Mr. Zhou was detained in the Wuxue City First Detention Center after the police found the Nine Commentaries during a search of his home. Mr. Zhou is still detained today. A source said that Zhou Guangxiong was sentenced and transferred to a different place. But Zhou’s family has not seen documentation of the sentence. Zhou Guangxiong’s whereabouts are unknown.

Ms. Liu Peizhen, in her 60s, is a doctor from the Nanshan District of Shenzhen City. On April 14, 2005, the Nanshan Police Department and Xili Police Station arrested Ms. Lu because she made CDs of the Nine Commentaries. She has been detained in the Nanshan District Detention Center for over nine months. Because the police denied the visitation of her family, no one knows what persecution Ms. Liu suffered in the detention center. According the people working at Nanshan District Procuratorate Court, Ms. Liu might face heavy sentencing.

Zhu Hanlong of Wuhan City was Persecuted for Distributing the Nine Commentaries and Suffered a Mental Collapse

Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Zhu Hanlong, in his 30s, lived at the First Village of Sanyanqiao, Jiangan District of Hankou City. In August 2005, he was illegally arrested and sentenced to one year of forced labor in the Hewan Forced Labor Camp for distributing the Nine Commentaries. In mid-October, Zhu Hanlong was tortured to the verge of death. The Hewan Forced Labor Camp was afraid that he might die in the camp and so informed his family that Zhu Hanlong was released unconditionally before the term was served. When Zhu Hanlong’s wife, brother and sister met him, they were all shocked by what they saw. Zhu Hanlong was emaciated and mentally traumatized, with wounds all over his body. He looked to be on the verge of death. Both his upper arms were covered with numerous cigar burn marks. On the top of his head were two thumb-size holes. It is said that the wounds on his head were caused by prisoners following guards’ order to fiercely dig into his head with a cup. The two holes were deep and full of bloody pus.

After treatment, Zhu Hanlong was saved from near death. We don’t have detailed information about what drugs the Hewan Forced Labor Camp force-fed Zhu Hanlong during his detention period. Zhu Hanlong is still mentally confused, has delusions, and talks illogically. Several times, he even went back to the forced labor camp by himself and asked to "report to the team." Zhu Hanlong’s situation is worrisome.

These cases of persecution show that the CCP is deeply afraid of the Nine Commentaries. The CCP is putting out a huge effort to suppress it. This situation in fact shows that the Nine Commentaries is indeed an effective way to resist the CCP. The book reveals the true demonic nature of the CCP for people to see.

(1) Dead person's bed - The four limbs of the practitioner are stretched out and tied to the four corners of a cold metal bed frame. The practitioner cannot move at all. He is not allowed to get up to eat, drink, or use the bathroom. This treatment usually lasts from several hours to more than ten days. As one can imagine, this type of cruel torture causes severe damage to the practitioner's mind and body. Recently, several Falun Gong practitioners in Qidong County, Hunan Province have been illegally arrested and persecuted.

Mr. Kuang Zongyao, 57 years old, lives in Xinhe Village, Buyunqiao Town, Qidong County, Hunan Province. Around 9 p.m. on July 2, 2006, someone yelled out Kuang's name from the outside. Mr. Kuang got up from bed and asked who it was. One person replied: "Can we borrow a wrench from you?" Mr. Kuang opened the door, but four policemen from the Buyunqiao Town Police Station rushed in and abducted him. Then they shoved him into a car and drove him to a detention center. Police declared that Mr. Kuang would be detained for 15 days. However, they did not give any explanation.

Director of the National Security Team, Peng Jian, claimed: "It's fine to beat Falun Gong practitioners to death." He tried to find the source of Kuang Zongyao's truth-clarifying materials. Mr. Kuang did not answer. Three days after the arrest, police ransacked Kuang Zongyao's home and confiscated a motorcycle. Peng Jian brutally interrogated Mr. Kuang for three days and two nights. Torture during the interrogation made Mr. Kuang's legs and feet turn purple and injured him all over the body. The torture had not stopped at the time this article was written.

Mr. Zhou Guangquan, 50 years old, lives in Jinqiao Town, Qidong County, Hunan Province. Around 7 a.m. on July 2, 2006, officers from the Jinqiao Town Police Department broke into Zhou's home, ransacked it, and arrested him. The police confiscated a cell phone, an MP3 player, and some truth-clarifying materials. They took Zhou Guanquan to the National Security Team in the county and handcuffed him to a window frame for two days, during which time Mr. Zhou was interrogated and tortured.

Mr. Zhang Xianzhao, 61 years old, lives in Guoshuiping Town, Qidong County, Hunan Province. On the morning of July 1, 2006, about five people who claimed to be from the Guoshuiping Town Police Department broke into Zhang Xianzhao's home. Some of these people wore police uniforms. They ransacked Mr. Zhang's home, pried open his closets, broke his glasses, and confiscated his Falun Gong books. Zhang Xianzhao could not stop these criminals. Around noon on July 4, this gang broke into to Zhang Xianzhao's home again and dragged him out, struck his limbs, and stuffed him into a car. They drove Mr. Zhang to the Guoshuiping Town Police Department. There, he was forced to fingerprint a defamatory document. Later that day, Zhang Xianzhao was sent to a detention center, where he has been held to this day.

Zhang Xianzhao has two acres of rice field. Now is the time to harvest the rice and sow the second crop of the year. No one is at home to do any farm work, so the Zhang family will sustain a big financial loss.

(Clearwisdom.net) Liu Wenzhong, 52, was the owner of a well-known local department store called, "Good News" in Songshan District, Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia. He began to practice Falun Gong in June 1999. His many illnesses soon went away.

After the persecution began in July 1999, Mr. Liu was arrested many times. In July 1999, he was detained for seven days. On May 1, 2000, he was arrested and detained for over one month. In March 2000, he was illegally arrested and taken to a detention center by 610 Office director Jia Aichen and his accomplices. In November 2000, he was arrested again and jailed for over three months. Mr. Liu was also extorted money numerous times.

On the night of October 28, 2001, people from the Sonshan District National Security Brigade and the local police station went to Liu Wenzhong's home to arrest him. They pounded on his windows and tried to break in. Mr. Liu thought they were thieves and he wanted to call the police. However, the group of thugs broke in before he had a chance to call. They arrested Liu Wenzhong, his wife, and two of his employees and took them to a place where the four were beaten and interrogated throughout the night. The following night they were sent to the Yuanli Road Detention Center. Mr. Liu's wife was released a day later after being extorted out of several thousand yuan.

Mr. Liu's department store, which is worth millions of dollars, was forcibly closed, causing a great economic loss (estimated at 800,000 yuan) and interruption to the local people's lives. Mr. Liu's over 20 employees also lost their jobs because of the store closure.

Liu Wenzhong was sentenced to three years of forced labor and sent to Wuyuan Labor Camp to be persecuted. During his detention there the police extorted over 40,000 yuan from him. He was also forced to do intensive labor. Because he refused to be "transformed," he was beaten and subjected to various types of torture. As a result, he was severely damaged both mentally and physically.

On October 26, 2006, Mr. Liu was released from the labor camp. However, even before he stepped into his home, he was arrested again by the local police and sent to a brainwashing class, where he was held for another 15 days. After he finally returned home, he was monitored around the clock. Under such huge pressure and severe persecution, he passed away on July 9, 2006.

(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Wang Xinfeng, 69, was a Falun Gong practitioner in Baogezhuang Village, Rizhuang Town, Laixi City, Shandong Province. Before she started practicing Falun Dafa, she suffered from bone cancer. She was bedridden and could neither speak nor move. Her life totally depended on her husband.

In the spring of 1997, Ms. Wang Xinfeng started to practice Falun Dafa. Miracles occurred shortly afterwards. Soon she could turn on her own in bed. Gradually, she could sit. Several months later, she became a completely healthy person. She started riding a tricycle to spread Dafa. She told other people how Falun Dafa saved her life. All of her family members were very happy. In the local experience sharing conference in 1998, which was attended by around 4,500 people, Ms. Wang Xinfeng shared her personal experience of benefiting from practicing Falun Dafa.

However, in July 1999, Jiang Zemin and the evil party started to openly persecute Falun Gong. Ms. Wang Xinfeng went to Beijing to clarify the truth and validate Dafa. Policeman Shen Tao from the Liaison Office in Beijing for Laixi City illegally arrested Ms. Wang, and policeman Tian Wen took her back to the Rizhuang Town Police Station in Laixi City. Chief Liu Yongtao detained her in a small room in the backyard. All four walls of her detention cell had gaps and the wind blew through them. The authorities didn't even offer her food. In the winter nights, Ms. Wang slept on the cold cement floor.

On May 13, 2004, Liu Hongzhai, the chief of the Richuang Town Police Station, led Zhang Luning and other seven or eight policemen to break into her home. They confiscated all of the Falun Dafa books and arrested three Dafa practitioners. Ms. Wang Xinfeng was so scared that she collapsed to the ground. After that, her old illnesses recurred and she couldn't take care of herself anymore. Ms. Wang passed away on June 29, 2006.

Under the instruction of the Laixi 610 Office, the police and justice department, the government officials and the staff of the Rizhuang Town Police Station persecuted many innocent and kind-hearted Falun Gong practitioners. Liu Hongzhai, the former chief of the Rizhuang Town Police Station, and Liu Guanghong often led policemen to illegally break into the local practitioners' homes. They confiscated truth-clarifying materials and Dafa books, arrested practitioners and physically and mentally abused them.

Dong Xueqin is an employee of Hualongqiao Housing Committee in Yuzhong District, Chongqing City. Because she clarified the truth to her workplace party secretary Cao Yaxi, she was reported to the local 610 Office by Cao Yaxi. Afterwards, she was constantly harassed by the police.

At the end of April this year, Cao Yaxi and policeman Xie Yang attempted to deceive Dong Xueqin into going to Hualongqiao Police Station, but Dong Xueqin resisted. Later Cao managed to get Dong Xueqin into her workplace where they interrogated and videotaped her. In the middle of the interrogation, the police tried to drag Dong Xueqin to the police van parked outside, but they were stopped by other employees.

In order to avoid further persecution, Dong Xueqin left her home and is now homeless.

Ms. Niu Lanying and Ms. Li Honggui are practitioners from Lanzhou City, Gansu Province. On December 16 last year they were abducted while taking a taxi to Linxia City. They were then thrown into Linxia Detention Center. In no more than half a year, both ladies were tortured so severely that they were reduced to just skin and bone and they had gray hair. Later both of them were sentenced to three years in prison. On May 8, 2006, they were transferred to Gansu Women's Prison.

On the afternoon of June 28, 2006, Mr. Wen Junqing (36 years old) and Mr. Shi Yingji (31 years old) from Yanqing County, Beijing City were arrested. Two laptops, and three printers were confiscated. Wen Junqing is currently detained in Yanqing County Detention Center. Shi Yingji is currently detained in Beijing No.7 Detention Center.

Mr. Wang Qingyun, in his 60's, is a practitioner from Tumen City, Jilin Province. On the morning of July 6, 2006, he went to Weizigou to clarify the facts but was illegally arrested by police.

On June 22, Chinese Business View newspaper in Shaanxi Province published an article slandering Falun Gong. It said that Sujiatun Concentration Camp is a figment of Falun Gong practitioners' imagination. This article was also reprinted in the Health News newspaper.

Ms. Song Shengli is a Falun Gong practitioner from Xiguan Village, Qingyun Town, Yanshan District of Cangzhou City, Hebei Province. In early April 2006, she was arrested and taken to Yanshan Detention Center. She was held for two and a half months. After Yanshan State Security Division extorted 2,000 yuan from her family, she was released on June 15, 2006.

Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Xing Shumei was arrested at the same time and taken to Yanshan Detention Center. After Yanshan State Security Division extorted 7,000 yuan from her family, she was also released on June 15, 2006.

On July 6, 2006 around 8:00 p.m., Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Sang Hongbo was distributing truth clarification materials in a residential building for governmental officials. Someone reported her to the police. Police from the 110 Division arrested her. Three hours later, police ransacked her home and arrested her parents.

On June 19, 2006, staff from Jiantong Police Station in Shijiazhuang City arrested Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Ding Fuyun. Now he is illegally detained in Xinle County Detention Center in Shijiazhuang City.

Ms. Wang Xiuqin is a teacher at Yanqing No.4 Junior High School. Because of her practice of Falun Gong, she suffered persecution many times. Since March 2006, her retirement pension was suspended. On June 29 she went to the school to ask for her retirement pension. Police ordered the school staff not to return her pension. Instead, they took her to the detention center.

On June 28, 2006, police from Hebei Forest Bureau broke into the home of Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Wu Guangmin, Ms. Jia Qiumei and Ms Ren Xingqin (Mother of Falun Gong practitioner Jia Dongmei and Jia Yongfa who both had died in the persecution), arrested them and ransacked their home. Mr. Jiang Biao was also arrested. At present they are illegally detained in the Hebei Detention Center.

Ms. Wang Guixiang, 52 years old, a resident of Zhonghe Village, Jidong County, Jixi City, Heilongjiang Province. On July 7, 2006 around 10:00 a.m., city police arrested her at her daughter's home.

On July 6, 2006 around 9:00 p.m., when Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Shang Hongbo was clarifying truth in the Shicai Company, Daqing City, people whose minds were poisoned arrested him. They took him to the police station. That night police ransacked his home and took away a computer and other personal items.

Mr. Ding Weihong is a Falun Gong practitioner who works at the No. 6 Petroleum Extraction Plant, Daqing City. On July 1, 2006, he was followed when he was distributing truth clarification materials in Daqing No.4 Hospital. Later he was arrested and his home was ransacked.

On the evening of July 7, 2006, Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Yin (40 years old), a resident in Hushitai Town, Shenyang City was arrested. Her home was ransacked. Now she is illegally detained in Hushitai Town Detention Center and persecuted. She is being tortured on an iron bed. There are bruises on her face.

On July 8, 2006 around 8:00 a.m., police from Dehui State Security Division and from the Changchun State Security Division broke into Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Wang Naihua's home in Yongqingxincun, Dehui City. Police arrested Wang Naihua and his daughter and ransacked his home.

Around 9:00 a.m. they also arrested Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Shu Fen who was selling fruit in a market. Afterwards they arrested a 50-year old practitioner in Yongqingxincun, and put a plastic bag on her head. Police also arrested her little daughter, who is around 12 years old, confiscated her computer and other materials.

Mr. Zhou Qitong, police from Beichen Police Sub-station and Shuangkou Police Station arrested a Falun Gong practitioner in Beichen District, Tianjin City on June 20, 2006. His whereabouts are unknown.

On June 22, 2006, police from Xiangfengdao Police Station of Tangshan City, Hebei Province, arrested Ms. Xu Suyun and took her to Kaiping Forced Labor Camp in Tangshan City. She is illegally detained and has been sentenced to a one and half year term.

610 Office State Security Police Division in Xinglong County, Chengde City, Hebei Province illegally arrested Falun Gong practitioners and destroyed many Falun Gong material sites. Six Falun Gong practitioners were illegally sentenced. They are:

Ms. Chong Jingzhen, Mr. Yang Liwei, Ms. Wang Suqin, Mr. Han Xuedong, Ms. Huo Fengcai. They were sentenced to 2 years in prison. Mr. Zhang Jingli was sentenced to a 4-year prison term. Wang Suqin was transferred to Gaoyang Forced Labor Camp.

On July 3, 2006 Ms. Hu Wangxiang went to Community Insurance Division in Wuhan City for her retirement examination. Afterwards she was arrested.

On the morning of June 20, 2006, Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Wang Liangxin in Wuhan City was clarifying truth in a market while she was shopping for vegetables. She was reported to the police and subsequently arrested. She is detained in the Yangyuan Brainwashing Center and persecuted.

Ms. Xiang Yueying, Falun Gong practitioner, is a retired teacher of No. 2 High School in Huawrong County, Yueyang City, Hunan Province. On June 12, 2006, staff from the 610 Office arrested her at home. She is still detained in Yueyang Hubin Detention Center.

Ms. Hu Jiqin is a Falun Gong practitioner in Huzi, Hubei Province. On July 5, 2006 around 10:00 a.m., eight plainclothes police officers arrested her. She is illegally detained at Chenjiachong Detention Center.

On July 6, 2006 around 5:00 a.m., local policemen climbed over the wall and broke into the home of Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Ji Yunxia and Mr. Zhang Fuyun, of Zhangjiayang Village, Tanjiafang Town in Qingzhou City. Police dragged them from their bed to the police van. Their whereabouts is unknown.

On May 11, 2006 around 9:00 a.m., Liu Maimei, 57-year-old Falun Gong practitioner and a retired doctor, was cooking food at home. Two men, over 30 years old, broke into her home and arrested Dr. Liu. They dragged her from the 3^rd floor to the 1^st floor and pushed her into the police van. They took her to Wujiashan No.1 Women's Detention Center in Wuhan City for persecution.

Mr. Ren Laishun, about 38 years old, used to work in Laiyang Normal College. He lost his job because he practiced Falun Gong. On June 29, 2006 police arrested him at home.

Ms. Wu Guimei, around 41 years old, is a resident of Wugezhuang Village, Chengxiang Street Community Office, Laiyang City. On June 30, 2006, three police from Laiyang Police Station arrested her.

Mr. Deng Jialin, a Falun Gong practitioner in Cizhu Town, Yubei District, Chongqing City, was sentenced to 3 years in prison by staff from the local police station when he went to Beijing to appeal to the government in 2001.

Mr. Zhang Huaan, a Falun Gong practitioner in Cizhu Town, was persecuted for a month in a detention center.

Mr. Ran Chongyang and Mr. Chen Jiawu are Falun Gong practitioners of Yongqing Town, Yubei District. Because they went to Beijing to appeal to the government, they were sentenced to one year in prison by staff from the Yongqing Town Police Station in 2000 and 2001. Later, Chen Jiawu from the Yubei District Police Sub-Station sentenced him again to a 3-year prison term.

(Clearwisdom.net) A "solemn declaration" is a person's public statement declaring to the world that whatever he or she has done or said under duress or deception that was against Falun Dafa is null and void. Most of these statements have come from Falun Dafa practitioners in China who wished to express regret that, in the face of physical torture and brainwashing, they had signed documents renouncing Dafa and guaranteeing not to practice again. (Clearwisdom.net) On July 30, 2006, Falun Gong practitioners from Malaysia gathered in Bukit Jalil Park in Kuala Lumpur to hold a rally and march to support 12 million withdrawals from the Chinese Communist Party and protest the persecution of Falun Gong by the CCP. Practitioners re-enacted the organ harvesting and helped people learn the truth about Falun Gong and the persecution.

Practitioners re-enacted the CCP's harvesting organs from living people. Many citizens watched it and learned the truth. After the re-enactment, practitioners marched and clarified the truth in the park.

(Clearwisdom.net) On July 20, 2006, Falun Gong practitioners in Hamburg and North Germany gathered outside the Chinese Consulate in Hamburg to protest the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong that has persisted for seven years. They also called on people from all walks of life to work together to stop the persecution.

(Clearwisdom.net) In July 2006, a group of Falun Gong practitioners gathered in front of the Chinese Embassy in Washington D.C. To call for the release of Xiang Lijie, who is married to a Taiwanese practitioner, and who has been imprisoned by the CCP. Xiang Lijie is from Mainland China, but practitioners from Taiwan are concerned about her situation. Xiang was arrested again in May. Since then, practitioners have been conducting rescue efforts. Some made the display boards, some made phone calls to China, and some contacted human rights organizations. They clarified the truth to Taiwanese people, who often go to Mainland China.

The Chinese Communist Party has not allowed Xiang Lijie to go to Taiwan for six years. One of the reasons is that Xiang refuses to renounce Falun Gong. Another reason is that the CCP is afraid that their crimes of persecuting Falun Gong would be exposed if Xiang goes to Taiwan. But they can only cover up their crime temporarily. They will be punished eventually.

In the past six years, Xiang Lijie has experienced all kinds of torture, including being jailed, being force-fed, being subjected to brainwashing, and so on. Xiang's husband is not allowed to see his wife. Her father-in-law passed away before he had a chance to meet his daughter-in-law. Practitioners from Taiwan called upon the international community to help to rescue Xiang Lijie. They won't give up the effort until Ms. Xiang is released.

Brussels -- Last week the Canadian David Kilgour, former public prosecutor, state secretary and Member of Parliament, introduced their report in Brussels. He led his investigation together with attorney David Matas, a famous advocate for human rights and defender of torture victims.

The two Canadians gathered a large amount of indications that the Chinese doctors in labor camps remove organs from Falun Gong practitioners. The organs are transferred to hospitals for transplants, where many foreigners can obtain a kidney, liver or other organs by order.

One of the testimonies is from an ex-wife of a Chinese surgeon. Her husband told her that within a period of two years he removed the corneas of two thousand living prisoners. In 2003 he refused to take part in the operation. The surgeon also said that none of these "donors" survived because other surgeons removed other organs. The remains were incinerated afterwards.

"Such operations are equivalents to murder", says Kilgour.

The investigation team came to their conclusions through verifying information with various sources, match data, and thus building a whole structure of circumstantial evidence.

Among the indications are phone calls to Chinese transplant hospitals by people pretending to be potential customers. In those conversations, hospitals admit that they can find a matching donor within days, and seem to know that Falun Gong practitioners are used for it.

China has already been accused before of harvesting organs without consent of the involved persons, and of executing prisoners when there is a demand for organs. In April, the British Transplant Society accused China of severe human rights violations for that reason.

The British vice President of the European Parliament, Edward McMillan-Scott (Conservative), said at the press conference in Brussels that a large scale persecution of Falun Gong practitioners is, according to the international definitions, a form of genocide.

He states that the Chinese gulag of labor camps "deserves an investigation by the United Nations".

"If new evidence is found about organ harvesting the international community cannot allow the Olympic Games to take place in Beijing in 2008", he said.

The Belgian lawyer Georges Henri Beauthier said that China only "responds with disdain" on the questions and complains. The famous defender of human rights has filed complaints against the Chinese regime in Belgium and France, based on international jurisdiction. He said that Falun Gong practitioners in our countries are also threatened by the Chinese Communist Party.

"It's time that the world wakes up", said McMillan-Scott. "There has been a lot of discrete diplomacy, it's time to go public".

Reporter: Good evening my friends.

Zhou Yongkang, the head of Chinese Public Security is visiting France this week and has been the guest of Mr. Sarkozy, the French Home Secretary. Nevertheless, apart from coinciding with unusually hot weather during his visit to France, he also ran into Reporters without Borders Organization protesting against the Chinese authorities' persecution of reporters and dissidents on the Internet.

On Friday July 21st, news was heard that three Falun Gong practitioners were planning to sue Zhou Yongkang in the French courts. On this occasion we interviewed the French Falun Dafa organization's spokesman Mr. Zhang Jianping about this incident, who told us some relevant information.

Zhang Jianping: In 2002, around the end of November and the start of December, Zhou Yongkang has been the Chinese Communist Party's Chairman for the Sichuan Provincial Committee. After that he became the Head of Public Security (i.e. the Police Department) and also one of the persons-in-charge of the Armed Forces. Both these positions undeniably hold direct responsibilities for the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners, locally and nationally. In Europe we found three Falun Gong practitioners, two of whom were from Sichuan Province in China, one is Ms. Mo Zhengfang and the other is Mr. Li Heping. The third one is Ms Dai Ying who is temporarily living in Norway, and she suffered persecution when Zhou Yongkang was the Head of Public Security.

These three Falun Gong practitioners asked the French Falun Dafa Association to file the lawsuit on their behalf at the Court of Paris to sue Zhou Yongkang.

Reporter: Did the Court of Paris accept the lawsuit?

Zhang Jianping: Yes. At about lunchtime today we handed the lawsuit in to the Court of Paris and the lawsuit has already been accepted.

Reporter: So what will happen next?

Zhang Jianping: The next step, generally speaking, would be the public prosecutor putting the case on file and beginning the investigation. They will be looking to see if this case should continue or not and they will be summoning witnesses.

Reporter: Will Zhou Yongkang be summoned?

Zhang Jianping: If we are strictly speaking by the law, it should be so. For example, at the end of 2002 we sued China's first Deputy Premier Li Lanqing back then. At that time he was also the first ranking central officer in the 610 Office, an organization set up especially to persecute Falun Gong. The French judge did send China's Foreign Ministry and Law Department an international summons for an investigation, which in French is called Commission Rogatoire Internationale (CRI). Of course, the CCP [Chinese Communist Party] never follows the rules so they arbitrarily and arrogantly refused the summons. At that time the law workers, including the judge, were all very angry.

Reporter: Now can you please tell us about what kind of persecution these three Falun Gong practitioners have undergone?

Zhang Jianping: Take Ms Dai Ying as an example. Just for practicing Falun Gong she was sentenced to three years forced labor re-education, in addition to another two years in a labor camp, which makes a total of five years. In prison she suffered all kinds of persecution, for example brutal electric shocks, beatings and repeated electric shocks around the temple to the point that her left eye is now blind. Her teeth are now all out of place. In prison, being a woman, she was stripped naked with other female Falun Gong practitioners by male and female police, and some were put in front of male inmates to be humiliated. They used such wicked ways to force her to give up cultivating Falun Gong.

There was also force-feeding. Because when practitioners are enduring such unreasonable oppression, some go on hunger strike in protest. However even this basic right has been violated. The police force feed not to keep the victim alive, but to torture the victim and force him or her to give up practicing Falun Gong. Force feeding is very brutal. Usually blood and food spray out everywhere.

Ms Dai Ying and her husband Li Jianhui are both cultivators of Falun Gong and they hired a lawyer. As the CCP was implementing its so-called legal procedures, people from the Shenzhen Court found out that there would be a lawyer, so through the Shenzhen city government and an appearance by the police department, they stopped the lawyer and prohibited him from defending the practitioners. This could be counted as part of the persecution she suffered.

Reporter: So, the other two, Mo Zhengfang and Li Heping are both from Sichuan, right?

Zhang Jianping: Right. When Mo Zhengfang was arrested she was eight months pregnant. Even so, she suffered violent beatings. Later she went to the United Kingdom and because she was cultivating Falun Gong as a mother, the CCP Embassy and the 610 system inside China did not even let her baby have a passport. So back then, as I recall, they spent a very long time exposing the CCP's crimes to the UK government and media. In the end the CCP had to give the baby a passport.

Reporter: These three cases all seem quite special and unique, or are they widespread typical cases?

Zhang Jiangping: I think that these are typical. Think about it, we learned that Zhou Yongkang was coming to France, and that the French constitution states that the sued person must be inside France. When we learned this piece of information it was already very late. In such a short period of time we have already found within Europe three cases of persecution such as these. Actually, in China there are much more of these cases. On our Falun Dafa's Minghui (Chinese version of Clearwisdom) website, everyday there are over ten cases of practitioners suffering persecution, and these cases are detailed with careful descriptions and full names. In the last few years there have been at least 3,000 verified deaths of Falun Gong practitioners that we know of.

Not long ago we heard of the malicious practice where at least thousands of Falun Gong practitioners have their body organs harvested while still alive and who were then killed to be silenced. Moreover, according to our investigations, this crime involves several provinces, cities and regions all over China, even many military and civil hospitals.

On May 19, the Chinese Communist regime arrested Bu Dongwei a staff member of the Beijing office of the U.S. Asia Foundation and also a Falun Gong practitioner. According to a Falun Gong web site, Bu is now in Haidian detention center waiting for preliminary hearing. Bu's wife Lou Hongwei has written to the U.S. State Department asking for help.

Bu's wife Lou has come to the U.S. to ask for assistance from the State Department and Asia Foundation headquarters. In a letter to the State Department, she indicated that there has been no news of her husband since his arrest. Family visits are forbidden. Lou said that a national security brigade of the Beijing Haidian district public security bureau took Bu Dongwei away over two months ago.

According to reports on Falun Gong overseas website Minghui.net on July 25, Bu Dongwei is now in Beijing's Haidian detention center waiting for preliminary hearing.

Lou told a reporter in the VOA Chinese Division that she had visited the U.S. Labor Department and the State Department asking for help: "After I came to the U.S., I visited the Labor Department first because the case that Bu was responsible for was a joint effort between the U.S. Labor Department and the Chinese Labor Department. It was an effort to help farmers seek legal assistance. Subsequently I went to the State Department and met a lady in the Human Resources Department. She listened to my explanation of the situation."

A reporter from the Voice of America Chinese division called the Haidian District public security bureau on July 26, but they hung up the phone after learning that he was a reporter. The reporter then called the U.S. Asia Foundation Beijing office, where Bu worked. The person who answered the call told the reporter that he would have to ask their manager about this matter, but the manager had left for the day.

Lou's friend said that Bu was arrested because he was a Falun Gong practitioner. She said: "Mr. Bu works for the Beijing office of a U.S. international enterprise. He was arrested suddenly by the Chinese authorities over two months ago only because he was a Falun Gong practitioner."

Bu was once sentenced to one year in a labor camp in the year 2000 for practicing Falun Gong. In her letter to the U.S. State Department, Bu's wife indicated that in China, even the constitution is unable to protect anyone when it comes to Falun Gong. When a Falun Gong practitioner is arrested, there is no legal redress.

It was reported on Minghui.net that Beijing police suspected Bu of concealing a copy of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, but after searching his house, nothing was found. Police took away his computer and a few Falun Gong books in his house. According to unconfirmed sources Bu has already been sentenced to two years in labor camp but his family has not been notified.

The U.S. Asia Foundation is a non-governmental organization focusing on education, women and legal issues in China and has been working in China for more than 20 years. The executive vice president of the San Francisco headquarters of the Asia Foundation Barnett F. Baron told the Associated Press that the organization has not received any information from the Chinese authorities regarding Bu.

The VOA reporter has contacted the U.S. embassy in Beijing and the U.S. State Department, but has not heard back so far.

(Clearwisdom.net) Two Falun Gong practitioners from Berlin, Germany came to the Singapore Embassy on July 28, 2006 to deliver a letter to the Ambassador and Prime Minister of Singapore. They also presented a copy of an investigation report on the CCP's harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners published by former Canadian Secretary of State for the Asia-Pacific region and MP David Kilgour and human rights lawyer David Matas.

The first secretary of the Singapore Embassy received the two practitioners, and stated that the Falun Buddha Society in Singapore is a legal organization, and the Singapore government will not interfere with freedom of belief.

The practitioners hoped that the Singapore authorities would pay attention to the CCP regime's persecution of Falun Gong practitioners and not bow to the CCP's pressure because of the economic interests, and further assist the CCP in the persecution of Falun Gong.

As the first secretary can speak Chinese, the practitioner, who came from mainland China, introduced in detail the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong practitioners and particularly emphasized the recent revelations of the CCP's harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners.

The practitioner also expressed sadnes to see that the CCP uses economic interests to buy off countries in the free world, and some countries therefore abandon morality and justice, cast a blind eye on the persecution of Falun Gong, and even play therole of adding fuel to the fire. The practitioners also advised the Singapore government not to assist the tyrant doing evil, and become the accomplice of the vile CCP regime in the persecution of Falun Gong.

The first secretary attentively listened to the practitioners' introduction, and said that he would deliver the materials to the ambassador and the Singapore government.

(Clearwisdom.net) On July 30, the 22^nd Chinese Athletic Federation in the Bay Area held an activity in Cupertino, California. The "Divine Land Marching Band", consisting of Falun Gong practitioners, joined this activity and performed there for the first time, winning an award.

More than 70 groups attended the athletic federation event. At the opening, practitioners held a 5-foot long banner reading "Falun Dafa", and the Divine Land Marching Band performed the song "Falun Dafa is good." People enjoyed the performance and applauded.

Ms. Yi Rong, one of the organizers, said that every group from the Chinese community is important. The Chinese Athletic Federation can achieve success only if every group attends. When speaking of the Divine Land Marching Band, Ms. Yi Rong said that they welcome the Falun Gong group. She said: "I have very high respect for them. It is not very easy to perform well and powerfully. They are a great group."

Ms. Yi Rong said: "Their performance is fabulous and professional. It amazed me." Before the end of the opening, the organizer invited the Divine Land Marching Band to perform three more songs for the audience.

Mr. Li, a citizen from the Bay area said: "Falun Gong group gives people a very good impression. They have done very well."

Mr. Li said to the reporter: "I didn't know that the Falun Gong group had such a powerful influence in the Chinese community. They have done a lot of things. They are becoming a force that people cannot ignore. I respect them and wish them good luck."

Mr. Tang Xiaoxian, one of the organizers, said: "It is amazing that the Divine Land Marchin Band can perform so well three months after it was formed, considering many members didn't know how to play any instruments before."

Mr. Wang, a citizen from the Bay area, said that the performance made a very deep impression on him. He hoped that the band will perform again at the next athletic federation event.

Regardless of the weather, this park, which is located in the center of the beautiful old city, attracts many tourists and local residents. Viennese like to chat away at the cafes or enjoy sunshine on park benches while tourists are mainly attracted to the greenery in the midst of magnificent medieval architecture. Large numbers of tourist groups linger in the beautiful scenery, amongst blooming flowers. Tourists snap photos in front of the statue of Johann Strauss, where Vienna Falun Gong practitioners do the exercises together every Sunday to Thursday almost without interruption. What is so special about this place? Tourist groups from China visit this park every day. Practitioners have therefore turned it into a practice site and place for clarifying the facts about the persecution of Falun Gong.

New practitioner learns to do the exercises

"Personally, I prefer another place."

Melanie from Vienna persists in doing the exercises in the park for two hours every Sunday to Thursday regardless of weather, along with other practitioners. "We had stayed on a lawn where almost nobody could see us before a Chinese practitioner suggested that we make a change. Many Chinese tourist groups pass by the statue of Franz Joseph." In the beginning Melanie could not accept this suggestion. Later she let go of her personal preference. As a result, the site of their practice changed from grass to sand and gravel. "We did this for the Chinese people," she emphasized. She first learned the true situation of Falun Gong when her son returned from China. Her son, Alexander, became a Falun Gong practitioner in 2001, a year and a half earlier than his mom. He went to Changchun alone in 2002, where he distributed leaflets about Falun Gong being persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Soon he was arrested and detained by police. A few days later he was deported by the Chinese authorities. Prior to that, he dared not imagine coming back to Vienna alive.

"Yes, I knew he would do something there, but not exactly sure what. He told me he would fly to China but nothing about distributing leaflets," Melanie said. Seeing her son at the airport, Melanie began to really pay attention to the persecution Falun Gong suffers in China. "His suit jacket was torn from top to bottom in the back. He had black and blue bruises all over his arms. He had not yet completely recovered from the shock." At the time her life was not connected with China in any way so she had not realized it is still under the totalitarian rule of the CCP.

As a matter of fact, she had seen Falun Gong previously without realizing what it was. "While attending a class in Oberlaa, I looked out of the window and saw a group of people doing beautiful exercises on a park lawn." She is still full of yearning even talking about it now. "Everything was surrounded by green, the lawn, the trees and the peaceful exercises. I was fascinated, thinking, 'I want to learn too.'" When she came out, however, those people had gone. Later she realized what she saw was Falun Gong. Thus Melanie started practicing Falun Gong and took part in truth clarification activities to stop the persecution.

It is not always easy for Melanie to keep doing the exercises in the park. Many practitioners cannot make it during the week due to work commitments. Once she did the exercises all by herself. In the winter the temperature in the park is always a few degrees lower than anywhere else. In the summer mosquitoes are a problem. But she sticks with it despite everything because this is a rare opportunity for truth clarification. "Sometimes several big coaches full of Chinese tourists arrive at the same time. Hundreds of people would crowd around us. They would walk within close range and surround us like we were rare animals." Melanie said a bit emotionally. Whenever Chinese tourist groups pass by, some practitioners stop to distribute leaflets and the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party and talk to them. The Chinese's reactions are poles apart. Some courageously step forward to take the materials and read immediately on the spot. Some even shout happily "Falun Gong, Falun Gong," in the crowd, while others dare not take leaflets in the open, fearing trouble. A small number of people, whose minds have been deeply poisoned by the CCP propaganda, get very angry when they hear about Falun Gong. They would not talk rationally or take truth clarification material. Even if they did take the leaflet, they would throw it away or tear it apart.

Melanie's perseverance was tested on many occasions. "Once, a man dropped his pants in front of me." She continued with the exercises without paying any attention. Finally the man pulled up his pants and slipped away. Another time a man took the "Little Bee" (small recorder with exercise music) and ran. When a fellow practitioner ran after him, the man dropped the "Little Bee" and ran away. It is not easy for Melanie to concentrate during the exercises in this hectic place. In the summer, there are all kinds of parties. Many concerts are held in a luxurious building nearby, attracting a lot of patrons. Sometimes popular or classical music roars. "In the past year, they hung up scores of large lamps or sprinkled sand on the platform for parties, which made it very noisy," she explained. Nowadays she can concentrate very well during the exercises. "Of course I can hear other music. But it is not a problem as long as I focus on the exercise music. Gradually the conditions become better and better."

Under Melanie's and other Vienna practitioners' efforts, the practice site has survived for years. Countless people from China and all around the world learn about Falun Gong here.

(Clearwisdom.net) Esk is a small town in Queensland. It is 100 kilometers from Brisbane. The Annual Multi-Cultural Festival on July 29, 2006 is an important date for local residents. Many people attend, making the usually quiet town very busy.

Learning the truth

Practitioners came to Esk early in the morning to set up the booth and canopy. The residents of Esk are very kind but they didn't know very much about Falun Gong or the persecution. Practitioners clarified the truth to the organizer and asked for a chance to introduce Falun Gong to everybody onstage. The organizer learned the truth and said: "I understand that what you are trying to do is very important. Although our schedule is full, I will find some time for you."

After their performance, many people went to the practitioners' booth for more information about Falun Gong. They were shocked when they learned about the persecution and the Chinese Communist Party's crime of harvesting organs from living practitioners. Many of them signed names to support anti-persecution efforts.

One woman said that this brutal crime is unacceptable. With tears, she helped practitioners to collect signatures.

A gentleman said, "Your group is the greatest. We really wish you good luck and we believe that you will succeed one day."

Some citizens asked for more materials. They said that they were willing to help practitioners to pass out the materials so that more people will learn the truth.

Practitioners performed on waist drums and did exercise demonstrations, while others kept collecting signatures. Most of the tourists accepted the materials. Some of them wanted to learn more, so practitioners told them about Falun Dafa websites

Although practitioners were exhausted at the end the activity, they all felt very happy that many people learned the truth.

(Clearwisdom.net) On July 22, 2006, the Annual Lake Fair Parade was held in Olympia, the capital of Washington, and Falun Gong practitioners attended the parade for the first time this year. A spectator who has been a friend of Falun Gong said to practitioners later, "I was really happy when I saw your group in Olympia. To show my respect to you, I stood up and yelled from my heart 'Falun Dafa is good!'"

(Clearwisdom.net) The Annual Monroe County Fair Parade was held in Monroe County, Michigan on July 30, 2006. Falun Gong practitioners attended the parade for the first time this year, and their performance was very welcome.

The parade started at 1:00 pm. Practitioners performed an exercise demonstration, waist drum and celestial maiden dance. Practitioners passed out a lot of materials to spectators along the 2-mile parade. Citizens learned the beauty of Falun Gong and brutal persecution by the Chinese Communist Party, especially the CCP's crime of harvesting organs from living people.

Ms. Jennifer Granholm, the governor of Michigan, came to the parade too. When she saw practitioners, she smiled: "You are here too. I am so glad to see you here." The governor has been a long-time friend of practitioners'. Three years ago, she announced that every May 13 from 2003 on will be Falun Dafa Day in Michigan. The governor was very happy to accept a yellow T-shirt and materials from practitioners. She also had a photo taken with practitioners.

(Clearwisdom.net) At dinner time, I turned on the television, and the screen showed the following lines, "I tell myself not to take myself as a victim. Once I think of myself in some way, others will treat me that way." These words made a big impression on me and have allowed me to gain some insights into some issues that I have encountered recently.

We Dafa practitioners are not the victims of ordinary people, and neither should we consider ourselves as "victims". Victims are helpless ordinary people who get hurt, while Dafa disciples, even though still amidst this interference and tribulation of the persecution, are on the path toward divinity.

After the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) hideous crime of harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners was exposed, I heard that a small number of practitioners wondered why Master had not prevented this tribulation. They wondered why Master had not told practitioners ahead of time that this tribulation was about to happen so as to let the practitioners take cautionary actions in exposing and stopping this crime. However, my understanding is that this is a serious test to the cultivation maturity of the practitioners around the world.

Dafa practitioners are the future Buddhas, Taos, and Gods, and in the cosmos, except for Master, there is no one who can change Dafa practitioners' cultivation paths, nor is there any life that can directly persecute and harm Dafa disciples.

"As I've said, everything that happens today in the ordinary society is the result of Dafa disciples' thoughts. Even though the old forces do exist, if you don't have those thoughts they can't do anything. " ("Teaching the Fa at the 2002 Fa Conference in Philadelphia, U.S.A.")

Once our thoughts are not righteous enough, or once we do not have enough faith in our own extraordinariness and sacredness, we equate ourselves with the victims of ordinary people. This then leaves a gap for the evil to exploit, and aggravates and extends the "persecution". It also makes it difficult for ordinary people to sense the practitioners' goodness, purity, and compassion. Ordinary people thus see us as a group of ordinary victims who are trying to save ourselves.

So when Dafa practitioners' thoughts are reflected into the ordinary society, the following takes place: People can understand that Dafa is being persecuted, but most of them hold a sympathetic mentality of "Oh, what a pity" or, "Oh, it is really horrible," as if they had heard something peculiar, towards Dafa practitioners and this persecution. They just let it go without really showing, in a stronger way, their sense of righteousness, or support of Dafa practitioners. Therefore, in ordinary human society, it is difficult to forge an even stronger awareness and social environment to end this persecution.

This is not an issue of whether ordinary people have good enlightenment quality or not, because we Dafa disciples should not rely on ordinary people. Fundamentally, it is caused by the very thought of how we Dafa practitioners have viewed ourselves. If practitioners have failed to firmly treat themselves as great, high-level beings, this very thought, which has a loophole, will be enough to dramatically weaken Dafa disciples' mighty divine power. It will make practitioners unable to move ordinary people, and make people unable to acknowledge and respect Dafa. This further diminishes Dafa practitioners' power of saving people. If amidst the tribulations, Dafa practitioners fail to use their righteous thoughts to understand and view their own historic missions and cultivation paths, Master and the guardian gods of the Fa will have great difficulty helping us.

Therefore, I, at my limited level, believe that Dafa practitioners should first seriously realize that we are high-level beings who are walking toward divinity and who have mighty divine powers. It is because we are of that high a level and have that immense power that we are able to shoulder such a huge historic responsibility and mission. We should not so simply and helplessly consider ourselves as victims. We should not even get affected by this persecution, thus allowing fear, pain, sorrow, and other human mentalities to form in ourselves. This persecution is a test and a tribulation that we must pass on our cultivation paths. Amidst this limited period of the tribulation, it will be decided whether or not a Dafa disciple can cultivate out, pass the tribulation, and save sentient beings. He or she will either succeed in cultivation through the tempering, or be washed out. Also, Dafa practitioners, while facing this tribulation, should not just passively react to the new situations that have appeared during the persecution while not taking the appropriate action. Otherwise, isn't it the same as our righteous cultivation being led by the tribulations? How can enlightened beings be controlled by demons? They definitely cannot. We should not only expose the various damages that the persecution has caused, but we should also even more actively use the wisdom and power that Master has given us to come up with all means and try all channels to end this persecution. We should eliminate all the evil beings that damage Dafa, that interfere with the Fa-rectification, and who are not salvageable. Only this is the reflection of an enlightened beings' genuine divine power and compassion.

Sentient beings worship, respect and follow gods not only because gods have boundless power and can perform miraculous acts; it has to do more with gods being noble, sacred, and benevolent high-level beings. In other words, because gods can always manifest their compassion, kindness, and noble morality, sentient beings can feel gods' compassionate and wonderful energy field. Thus, without even using words, ordinary people's Buddha nature or the side that understands "Truth-Compassion-Forbearance" will manifest, and guide ordinary people to follow the will of Heaven and get on the path of being saved.

Therefore, whenever we clarify the truth or expose the persecution, whether at public or private occasions, we should always have kindness and compassion in our words and actions. We should be mindful of whether we have the noble morality and positive energy that cultivators of a righteous way should have. It is not wrong that one, while clarifying the truth, emphasizes disclosing all kinds of crimes that the evil party has committed. However, that is not our goal. "The most important goal in clarifying the truth is to save all beings." ("Teaching the Fa at the 2003 Atlanta Fa Conference") Isn't it right that saving sentient beings exactly requires us to always show our great benevolence during our clarifying the truth? During the process of truth-clarification, there are many ordinary people saying, "Falun Gong has always kept resisting the persecution and pointing out the evilness of the Chinese Communist Party. Your comments are very thorough and to the point; however, for us who have not practiced Falun Gong, we seem to have not been able to sense the wonderful side of Falun Gong."

Of course, "Ordinary people can't affect cultivators. Cultivators can't be affected by ordinary people." ("Teaching the Fa at the Western U.S. International Fa Conference," February 26, 2005)However, just because those we want to save are ordinary people, how ordinary people feel about us and whether they can understand us has become an important aspect in our reexamination of ourselves. Take Taiwan as an example: many people know that the Communist Party is bad, but they cannot understand what Falun Gong is. They may have heard that Falun Gong is being persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party, but they do not know what Falun Gong really is and why Falun Gong has attracted one hundred million followers, and even triggered the government officials' jealousy and worry. Doesn't this tell us that we, to a certain degree, have not done well for a long time in this regard? Because we often put much of our efforts in clarifying the truth and resisting the persecution in the local areas, and even in the various experience-sharing conferences, Fa studies, and project meetings, big or small, we seem to have forgotten to actively introduce the goodness of Falun Dafa's teachings and practice to people. This situation has caused many ordinary people to pause in their understanding of Dafa, more or less, on the level of "a group of people being persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party." They cannot further elevate their understanding to "a group of noble individuals being maliciously attacked." In this way, it will be not easy for us to alarm the ordinary people, and waken up their Buddha nature, sense of righteousness, and sense of justice.

As beings who are walking toward Consummation, the goal of our clarifying the truth is to assist Master in rectifying the Fa and save sentient beings. However, in terms of the formats of our clarifying the truth, besides exposing to people the persecution that Dafa has encountered, we need to, at the same time, introduce the practice of Dafa. For example, promoting the Fa could be accomplished by going to various public places to practice the exercises in groups on the weekends or holidays, or using other means to promote Dafa. This way we can help more people get in touch with Dafa and come to understand the goodness of Dafa. This is the same as guiding people to understand the truth of Dafa in a positive way, and waking up their kind side and their sense of righteousness. Dafa disciples are using their own righteous thoughts to create an enormous field of righteousness and envelope ordinary people in this field. Doing it this way can, on one hand, help to integrate all Dafa practitioners and all sentient beings into a gigantic body, to disintegrate the evil and end the persecution. On the other hand, it can help protect and save sentient beings and fulfill our prehistoric vows.

As my level is limited, please point out anything that is improper.

(Clearwisdom.net) I'm sure that the phrase "righteous thoughts" occurs in the minds of diligent practitioners every day. Recently, I often realized that righteous thoughts have levels. Having righteous thoughts, strong righteous thoughts and sufficient righteous thoughts differ in their degrees and also in their results. Master always asks us to keep sufficient righteous thoughts. This is my personal understanding: What is "sufficient"? It is a full, 100 percent, and it is without a tiny bit of doubt or waver.

Take using currency for example. With sufficient righteous thoughts, calm and firm heart, all the bills were accepted smoothly, even though every one of them had "quit the CCP" written on them and a cashier of a big shop checked them thoroughly. When visiting the Internet for the first time, I could not open a web page. With sufficient righteous thoughts, while "the evil beings want to block Dafa disciples from getting on the Internet...." Before I paid much attention to what I was thinking, the web page opened, and I had not even finished my thinking. Sufficient righteous thoughts do not need to be "fierce." It is to firmly disallow any interference or persecution from the evil beings, to leave no space for the evil and rotten demons, to firmly validate Dafa, and to save sentient beings with full confidence.

The more sufficient, full, and thorough our righteous thoughts, the quicker the evil will be eliminated, and the more sentient beings will be saved. Actually, many articles from fellow practitioners have been published about miracles resulting from having sufficient righteous thoughts.

I hope that all fellow practitioners will elevate their levels of righteous thought to 100 percent. When we truly achieve that, it will be just like what Master said,

(Clearwisdom.net) Three of us practitioners formed a group to do Fa-validation and truth clarification activities. Practitioner A and I live in close proximity to each other. Before July 20, 1999, we practiced the exercises at the same practice site and studied the Fa in the same Fa-study group. In the last year she established a family truth materials production site. Practitioner B lives in a village, more than 100 km from our area. She earns her living at a location outside her village. She has been quietly but determinedly validating the Fa during the past few years.

Practitioners A and B have never met, nor do they know each others' names. But Falun Dafa practitioners are all one body. Under the protection of Teacher, we have coordinated effectively with each other, communicated well, and utilized each others' strengths. Practitioner A makes truth clarification materials and B and I do not mind any hardship or distance to deliver the blessings to thousands of families. Many people from the areas we cover have understood the truth, recognized the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)'s evil nature, and withdrawn from the party.

Practitioner B was arrested when clarifying the truth and was illegally detained and persecuted for a year and a half in 2001. Soon after being released she joined the Fa-validation efforts again. Her family members are not practitioners, but they all support her. They even help to distribute fliers, CDs and other truth clarification materials in their area. Practitioner B and her family members have overcome harassment by the local 610 Office on many occasions. Because of the Falun Dafa practitioners' truth clarification efforts over the past years, many ordinary people now agree openly that Falun Gong practitioners speak the truth, that Jiang's gang is evil, and so on.

After having studied Teacher's new lectures, including "Let Go of Human Attachments and Save the World's People" and "Turning the Wheel Towards the Human World," we have realized how fast the Fa-Rectification is advancing, and understood deeper the responsibilities of Falun Dafa practitioners during the Fa-Rectification period.

From the second half of 2005, we realized that we have to distribute a tremendous amount of truth clarification materials, including the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party. At the same time we understood that a large area had to be covered by our truth clarification efforts. We needed to establish a strong righteous field to diminish the evil spirit of the CCP. The materials needed to cover the major topics. They had to be distributed to everyone--on farms, streets and at work locations. We wished to move the people with the truth, strike a sympathetic chord within them, and let the effect spread widely.

We began immediately after we had come to the aforementioned decision. During the daytime we checked out the area. We wanted to know the layout of the land, establish which towns to visit and which roads to take. We chose our targets and prepared well. In the evening, before going out to deliver materials, we sent righteous thoughts, asked Teacher to strengthen us, and added the wish, "let all lives in our target area quietly wait for us, so we can save them, and let there be no disturbance." Then, practitioner B and I went quickly on our way. We considered all factors that might hinder us, especially safety issues, in advance. At each location we separated and decided on where to meet again, keeping the specific situation in mind. She distributed the materials in the village. I also distributed some materials and sent righteous thoughts, until we met again for our trip back home.

By using this method and safe transportation, we distributed tremendous amounts of truth materials to the large and small villages, traveling tens of kilometers. Under Teacher's protection, everything went smoothly. We have gained much experience, and witnessed many miracles. While distributing truth clarification materials, most villages were without much traffic. We rarely saw people, and even dogs stopped barking. We always bring truth clarification materials that address a number of important topics at once. We generally distribute several hundred of these materials at any one time in one or more villages. Afterwards, we could discern a relatively big impact to the area.

In the fall of 2005, when I was climbing up a mountain, I suddenly heard noise from a loudspeaker coming from a far away mountain behind me. I was new to that region. In mountain regions, transportation is not easy, and information is difficult to spread. I asked myself, do people know the truth there? "The only thing you have a role in is saving people," ("Teaching the Fa in the City of Chicago") Teacher's lecture came to my mind. I realized: if there are people out there, there are people out there waiting for us to save them. But we were faced with many difficulties to get there. It was far away and we were not familiar with the mountain roads.

When I discussed the above thought with practitioner B, we realized that we followed Teacher for so many years, and we totally negated the old forces' arrangements along the way. Overcoming difficulties to validate the Fa and save sentient beings is the way to thoroughly deny the existence of the old forces. What we want is to bring the blessings of the Dafa of the universe to the sentient beings in that area.

After thorough preparations, including choosing the truth clarification materials, one night in the beginning of 2006, practitioner B and I walked toward the far away mountain. It was more than 10 degrees below zero. It was a fully dark winter night in the mountains. Cold wind blew around us. We still continued to walk along the mountain roads. We were not scared. We felt Teacher was right there, protecting us, directing us. Sometimes we got lost in the bushes. Then we just walked our own way. Mountain roads are narrow and uneven, and it would be dangerous if we slipped. But we shared our understanding and experiences on our cultivation path along the way.

I don't remember how long we walked or how many hills we climbed. With our firm belief in Teacher and the Fa, and with our righteous thoughts, we arrived at the top of a hill and we finally saw the lights on a mountain in the northeast. We saw the hope for people there to get saved. Teacher said,

"A Great Enlightened Being fears not hardship

For a will of adamantine has he forged

Free of attachment to living or dyingHe walks the path of Fa-rectification, confident and poised"

("Righteous Thoughts and Righteous Actions" from Hong Yin II, provincial translation subject to further improvement).

The above are our experience sharing stories and our cultivation during the Fa-Rectification period. We are sharing them with practitioners throughout the world, so as to encourage each other. We are one body. Every one of us is an element of the Fa. As long as we study the Fa diligently, keep our righteous thoughts and righteous actions and coordinate and harmonize well, we will walk tall on our route of validating the Fa and saving sentient beings in an open and aboveboard manner. Only in this way will we not disappoint Teacher's compassionate salvation and will we fulfill our great duty to save sentient beings.

Group practice during experience sharing conference

(Clearwisdom.net) To create a stable cultivation environment in Taiwan, the Taiwan Falun Dafa Association held a three-day and two-night Fa study and experience sharing activity for assistants from practice sites in Taiwan on July 7-9, 2006 at Chung Hsing University. Nearly two hundred practitioners from across Taiwan got together to share their cultivation experiences, cultivation process and stories of looking inward, how they encourage each other and improve together, and do well in the three things, including studying the Fa, sending forth righteous thoughts and clarifying the truth.

Group Fa study and group practice are forms of Dafa cultivation that Master left for us. At the practice site, when encountering problems, we can discuss together to solve these problems. Many practitioners in Taiwan took the path of cultivation after July 20, 1999 when the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and Jiang's regime started the persecution of Falun Dafa. Upon entering cultivation practice, they also entered the period of Fa-rectification cultivation. Many Fa-study and experience sharing in many areas became work reports or work teams recruiting helpers, but they seldom talked about the process of looking inward and digging out the roots of attachments and their understanding on the Fa, and neglected the problems in cultivation.

Master spoke to the assistants from Taiwan during the Canada Fa Conference in May, 2006. He pointed out problems that occurred among practitioners in Taiwan, including the attachment to political parties, problems of cooperation and coordination as a whole, squandering of resources, disliking and avoidance of face-to-face truth clarification, being unwilling to talk about problems in cultivation to save face, and so on. After returning to Taiwan, the assistants shared with practitioners in different places, acknowledged their faults, and talked about their experiences, including their understanding of attachments to political parties, so as to melt the partitions between practitioners.

At the experience sharing activity in July, practitioners shared many stories in passing tests while harmonizing their families. One practitioner said that her husband and children all cultivate in Falun Dafa, so other people admire them and thought that they may have less conflicts. But she said that when they encountered conflicts, they would naturally use Fa principles to require the other party to correct themselves, but did not require this of themselves. For example, both her husband and she participated in many Dafa work projects, and both felt their own projects very important or urgent, so both were busy with Dafa work. Then who would do household chores? Who would cook, do the washing, and mopping the floor. Neither of them would concede. At this time, she saw her deeply-hidden selfish heart, only thinking of quickly doing her own things well, but not thinking of her husband and children. She realized that her husband after all has to do all his Dafa work quickly, and he is not lazy. If she could share more household chores, her husband would have sufficient time to get his work done.

A practitioner who has been doing truth clarification through making phone calls to mainland China shared her experience of passing the test of sickness karma. Over the course of about a one-month test of sickness karma, she found her attachment to listening to words of praise, slacking off and indulging in Korean TV soap operas, and not doing well in the three things, due to her pursuit of comfort. This led to her being taken advantage of by the old forces. While in the trial, she realized that the old forces attempted to drag down Dafa disciples while looking at us covetously. Therefore, she completely negated the old forces' arrangement, and was determined to walk the path Master has arranged for her. She insisted on going to join group Fa study and experience sharing and group practice by taxi (originally by motorcycle) when she was in poor physical condition, until she passed the test.

An assistant from the North Area shared his experience of leading elderly practitioners to do truth clarification work. With regard to truth clarification on the Internet, those who could do three steps taught those who could only do one or two steps; those who were in their 60s taught those who were in their 70s; some of them in their 80s also taught those in their 70s. This way, a group of aunties and uncles are able to do truth clarification on the Internet and help people with quitting the CCP. They were patient and considerate of each other and soon become an active group that can teach others how to use computer. They also go to other places to share their experiences in clarifying the truth on the Internet.

A couple in their 70s in remote Hsin Chu County realized the importance and urgency of clarifying the truth and rescuing sentient beings. They took the initiative to ask to learn how to clarify the truth on the Internet, and frequently ask what else they can do. The husband was very attentive in learning how to use computer, and would keep asking if he encountered any problem until he solved them. The wife learned to clarify the truth by making phone calls to the mainland. In the beginning, she was afraid of picking up the phone and did not know what to say, but now she can help the Chinese people learn about the truth and quit the CCP.

At the same time, some practitioners mentioned that some assistants were not kind in their tone when talking to elderly practitioners, and did not consider if the time is appropriate to say what they wanted to say. This may make the elderly practitioners feel hurt in their hearts, resulting in a negative effect. Practitioners had a lively discussion on this topic and realized that we should be considerate of others at all times, always considering if what we say will hurt others, and if others can accept it. We should have more communication with practitioners to get things across clearly.

Principal Chen from Pingdong said that he attended a group Fa study and experience sharing activity five years ago organized by the Falun Dafa Association at Taipei's Military Museum. He felt hurt when the team leader shared his understanding, apparently saying that what the practitioners did in Pingdong was not a Fa-rectification work project. Later, Mr. Chen left in tears. From then on, he thought that his understanding of the Fa was right, and that the Falun Dafa Association was wrong. He no longer participated in any activities organized by the association and practice site. Though he was informed about the activities, and he also informed practitioners in the practice site to go to participate, he always added, "I won't attend." Therefore, only one or two practitioners went to take part in the activities. Sometimes he did take part in the larger activities, but they would organize a different group, wearing aboriginal costumes and singing their own songs, isolating themselves from the big group.

Principal Chen said that fortunately, he listened to Master's lecture to Taiwanese practitioners in Canada, and not until then did he find that the practitioners in the association were not that bad and they may not have been wrong. All this isolation had been created by his attachment. When letting go of these attachments, and taking a look at practitioners in the association again, he found they were not that bad as he imagined. Now, when the association holds any activity, he invites all practitioners at the practice site to attend, and says, "Let's go take part in it together, all right?" He no longer isolates himself from the group, and neither organizes a different group, but truly gets along well with everybody.

Assistants from the South realized their insufficiencies and their mistakes after listening to Master's lecture to Taiwanese practitioners in Canada. They also realized that they should not ignore any of Master's disciples. Before, they did not do well in leading practitioners to keep up with the process of Fa-rectification. They invited two to three practitioners to different practice sites to share their experiences and understanding, and found those practitioners who have not stepped forward, and those practitioners who used to be Dafa disciples but who are no longer practitioners now for various reasons. Through in-depth sharing and letting go of oneself, they truly felt the power of the Fa, and many practitioners therefore have gone back to Dafa cultivation.

An assistant said when she saw the Fa-study announcement saying, "to encourage practitioners to talk more of the process and stories in looking inward during the sharing," she felt that it has been too long since they had such sharing. It seemed that they went back to the kind of Fa-study they had before the persecution started in 1999. Everybody talked about their understanding and stories of passing tests in their everyday life. This is truly solid cultivation.

At one practice site, there used to be twenty to thirty practitioners coming to do the exercises at the practice site, but gradually, there were only several of them. The assistant thought it was not right, so one day he shared with practitioners and told them why he could persist in coming to the practice site to do the exercises every day. He said he was also depressed and slacked off during a period of time, thinking he should not be the only one to bring the tape-recorder, that someone else should do so. Therefore, he thought of slacking off. One day, he was late in getting to the practice site. As soon as he arrived there, he saw that someone else had come even earlier than he. Walking nearer, he saw Master's law body sitting there doing the mediation. He was moved to tears. When he opened his eyes again, Master was no longer there. From then on, he has no longer been late, and also realized that Master is watching every practice site. Practitioners at the practice site heard his story and gradually came back to the practice site to do the exercises. Now the number has resumed to around 30 practitioners as before.

After two days of Fa-study and sharing in small groups, there was a big group sharing on Sunday afternoon.

An assistant talked about how she passed the illness karma test. When encountering the sickness karma test, she thought about where the problem was in herself. One day, she thought of issues concerning funds. She has been good at using funds that practitioners voluntarily donated. Once, when making flyers for a certain activity, she had incorrectly written a guest's title. When a practitioner pointed it out, her human attachment came out, thinking, I can reprint these with the money I have at my discretion. She continued, "But I did not think that it was also the resources of Dafa, and I should not squander or waste it. I didn't even think of using the least amount of resources to correct this mistake, for example, using a sticker to cover over the place where I made the mistake. If I did it this way, I wouldn't need to reprint all the flyers." When she realized this, she saw the tumor in her reproductive system seeping pus and blood. After the bleeding stopped, the tumor seemed to no longer be there. The next day, she had completely recovered.

Another practitioner shared that he realized that the attachment to the blue and green political parties is not a case in which just the practitioners who are attached to this blue-green sentiment have a problem; it is instead a problem for the entire cultivation environment. One should be willing to look within whenever encountering anything, dig out one's deeply-rooted attachment and eliminate it, cultivate one's compassion, clarify the truth face to face to save sentient beings, and live up to revered Master's expectations of us.

The two-and-a-half-day Fa-study and experience sharing concluded successfully with everybody's active sharing of their own understandings and looking within. All attendees wanted to do their duty well as assistants, be responsible to Dafa, fellow practitioners and themselves. Together with all practitioners, we are creating a stable cultivation environment and are striving forward diligently on the path to Consummation.

(Clearwisdom.net) Whoever has worked in a cotton field knows that a cotton grower has to constantly prune non-bearing branches during the growing process so that cotton-bearing branches can receive the best conditions to produce cotton.

This applies not only to cotton but also to fruit-bearing plants, to produce large high-quality fruit. A plant's luxuriantly green non-bearing branches might confuse the layman to think that the plant is thriving, but an experienced farmer would prune them out in no time. In ancient times, when the Huang Emperor toured his realm in disguise, he met a lad who told him, "The key to running the country well is to get rid of evil members of the herd". The connotation in Chinese culture is that achieving success has everything to do with eliminating evil. Only when you eliminate all the evil can you reach the right fruit status.

With Dafa widely spreading today, everything is going through Fa rectification. Because of the old force's interference and destruction, the wicked beings manipulated by lower dimension demons and evil spirits have used the most despicable methods to deceive people. Master once stated that the beings pressed into the three realms are all old beings; they have many attachments to previous life experiences and restrictions based on different levels of the old Fa.

During this relentless persecution, the evil has seized every opportunity. Because of fear and their attachment to being human, some practitioners did what they thought was right but was not according to the Fa. They bragged about themselves being "good people", shackling themselves in self-deceit as well as the deceit of others. They see these shackles as a beautiful label. They stopped doing Fa rectification work but still believe they are cultivating themselves. Using the cotton-field analogy, they are actually turning themselves into non-bearing branches.

Teacher said in Touring North America to Teach the Fa,

"In other words, during the Fa-rectification, all that the behavior of the sentient beings shows is their attitude towards the Fa-rectification, and this determines whether they are kept or not--how good their attitudes are toward Fa-rectification is evaluated and used to reposition them. In other words, these are nothing more than the sentient beings' performances at the final stage of formation, stasis, degeneration, and destruction."

For a practitioner to call oneself a "good person" is not up to the standards of the Fa rectification. It is like a non-bearing branch; it is meaningless and wastes time and nutrients. They are not true practitioners and waste not only their own efforts but also delay the time it takes to save the sentient beings.

(Clearwisdom.net) I have read seven times Teacher's "Teaching the Fa in Canada, 2006". The more I read it, the more I felt that Teacher's care for disciples is indeed deep and thorough and He does not want to leave a single disciple behind. The Fa that Teacher has told us is very clear now. Disciples know exactly what to do after hearing it. Teacher cares so much about us but we still are inadequate in many areas of our cultivation. I feel bad when I reflect and I feel ashamed that I might have disappointed Teacher.

Teacher said in the lecture:

"So everything that you do, be it your balancing well your family relationships while you live among ordinary people, balancing well your relationships in society, how you perform at your workplace, how you conduct yourself in society, etc., none of these are things you can just go through the motions on. All of these are part of your cultivation format, and are serious matters."

I am one of those who did not balance well my family relationships and have been troubled by it for a long time. It manifests itself in the relationship between my husband and me. My husband is not a practitioner and has been heavily affected by the CCP's culture, which caused him to be displeased with Dafa and against our validating Dafa. He would not listen to what I said (since I still lack sufficient good will). I felt bad about his bias against Dafa and argued with him all the time. He would listen when I read the Fa, but would not give up his preconceived notions no mater what. Sometimes when he said bad things against Dafa I would use the same bad attitude toward him, thinking: "Why doesn't Dafa give him some punishment? Let his mouth hurt. Teach him a lesson so that he will understand." Sometimes he was also harsh toward me, which I could tolerate. I could forgive him because I thought I owed him in the past and now I was paying him back. When he was unreasonable, I truly wanted to just leave him. But he did not interfere with my practice or studying Fa, and also was quite nice to me normally. I did not quite know what to do.

Later through continuous study of Fa, I gradually realized that the reason he acted this way was related to my own cultivation. I did not demonstrate goodness and thus the evil took advantage of my loophole. Through him, I needed to learn to get rid of my selfish thoughts of not tolerating others. Sometimes I had bad thoughts against him, unbecoming the standards of cultivation. He is also a sentient being to be saved. Teacher has said:

"Compassion can harmonize heaven and earth, ushering in spring

Righteous thoughts can save the people in this world"

("The Fa Rectifies the Cosmos" in Hongyin II, provisional translation)

When my thoughts changed, he changed his attitude too. In the meantime, I sent forth righteous thoughts to clear all the dark minions, rotten demons, and evil spirits of communism. After that he no longer badmouthed Dafa. I believe that it is Teacher's benevolence and Dafa's virtue and power that have harmonized his life. He can have a good future now.

One day I told him about my routine of distributing Dafa materials. He was a bit concerned, but did not get upset, nor did he try to stop me. In the past I had to act behind his back to do Dafa work, which made things much more difficult. I was always afraid of getting caught, and sometimes things were affected by it. Now I can do the work in the open. From this incident I realized that a practitioner's cultivation environment should not be controlled by the old forces. One has to always adhere to the Fa, and treat all sentient beings with a kind heart. Only with righteous thoughts and righteous conduct, can one do the Dafa work smoothly and walk well the path that Teacher has arranged for us.

Though the improvement I have made seems small to me, I would not have achieved it without the help of fellow practitioners. I want to thank them once again.

I also want to remind those practitioners who have similar problems. I know such practitioners do exist around me. They cannot balance well relationships in the family, or do not even try to balance them well, although they may be doing well in all other aspects. Think about it, fellow practitioners: although some family members might have treated us unfairly in the past, wasn't it because we have owed them in our previous lives? We need to use our kind heart to care about them. For a non-practitioner, who doesn't want to have a warm family?

Teacher said:

"Many students understand only that doing the exercises and studying the Fa are cultivation. Yes, with those you directly engage the Fa. But as you go about truly cultivating yourself in your day-to-day life, the society that you come into contact with is your cultivation environment. The work and family environments that you spend time in are both settings in which you are to cultivate yourselves, are part of the path you must walk, are what you must handle, and handle correctly at that. None of these should be glossed over." ("Teaching the Fa in Canada, 2006")

That is to say that as Teacher's disciples, we need to follow the path that Teacher has arranged for us. We cannot deviate from it. We are cultivating Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance. Our historic mission is to save sentient beings, and our family members are among them. It will not be that difficult once we realize this point. You need to try it to believe it. Just bite your teeth and you will pass the test. Once you throw away your burden you will feel at ease. Let us review Teacher's lecture:

"When it's hard to endure, try to endure it. When it seems impossible to do, or just hard to do, give it a try and see just what you can do. And when you can really do it, just like that worn and weary traveler, you'll see, 'the shade of willows, the blooms of flowers, a place to rest my head'! (Zhuan Falun)

(Clearwisdom.net) Sun Simiao, a renown physician from the Tang Dynasty, possessed superb medical skills. Because he was upright, honest, and noble, and healed many people, he was thus respectfully named the King of Medicine.

According to the legend, Sun Simiao led a tranquil life without worldly desires. He lived in seclusion on Taibai Mountain, quietly cultivating Tao. One day, as he was leisurely strolling in the woods and along the lakes, he saw a shepherd boy whipping a little white snake. He could not stand it, so he offered the shepherd his only valuable clothing in exchange for the little white snake. He took the snake home and treated the wounds attentively with herbal medicine.

The little white snake recovered very quickly, and Sun Simiao released it into the mountains. Not long after, a young man in white clothes came to see him. He paid utmost respect to Sun Simiao and invited him to a palace. As it turned out, the little white snake was the son of the Dragon King of Jing Yang Water Palace. In order to repay Sun Simiao's kindness, the Dragon King offered him rare and precious treasures from the palace, but Sun Simiao declined.

Sun Simiao told the Dragon King, "I practice Tao, I have no use for material goods, please keep them yourself." The Dragon King wanted to repay the favor, and knew that Sun Simiao enjoyed studying books on medicine. So he asked his minister to retrieve a few ancient medical books that were passed down from generations and give them to Sun Simiao. Sun Simiao gladly took them. Later on, he studied the books diligently, and applied the research in his medical practice. These were all recorded in his book, "A Thousand Golden Methods."

Because Emperor Tang Taizong admired Sun Simiao's great reputation, he summoned him to the imperial court. The emperor noticed that Sun Simiao had a dignified appearance and a divine poise. The emperor said to Sun Simiao, "After meeting you today, I now believe that there is an elixir of youth. Please share it with me."

Sun Simiao replied, "People pursue divinity and alchemy with a purpose, and they want either to prolong their lives or to make profits. I don't think they'll get what they want. How can an ordinary person like me wish for immortality? I study medicine and practice Tao to heal and save more people. The medicine that I make is only for healing illnesses, and it cannot prolong one's life. I apologize for not being able to fulfill your Majesty's wish. Please allow me to go back to the mountains."

The emperor tried to persuade him to stay, but Sun Simiao left eventually.
