(Clearwisdom.net) From May 6 to 7, 2005, during the Seventh ASEM (Asia-Europe) Foreign Ministers' Meeting in Kyoto, Japan, practitioners called for an end of the persecution of Falun Gong in China.

Asia and Europe represent about 400f the world's population, 500f the GDP, and 600f trade. The ASEM is the main dialogue between the two continents. It began in 1996, and includes summit meetings of foreign ministers, economic ministers and finance ministers. The meeting was attended by foreign ministers and other officials of the 38 ASEM nations and one organization, a total of 13 countries from Asia (10 ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) countries, Japan, China and the R.O.K.; and 25 EU (European Union) member states and the European Commission. The meeting's purpose was to exchange views on dialogue and cooperation between Asia and Europe.
To help end the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China, practitioners in Japan called for attention of more people to the practitioners in China. On May 6 and 7, practitioners held anti-persecution activities. On the paths where foreign ministers passed by, practitioners held banners worded "Stop the persecution of Falun Gong," "Falun Dafa is good," "Truth, Compassion, Forbearance," "Lawsuits against Jiang Zemin filed in 15 countries," and posters exposing the persecution. Many passers-by stopped to look and inquire. They felt the existence of such a persecution in the 21st century to be inconceivable. Many people came to know the facts after hearing practitioners' explanations and expressed support for the practitioners.
(Clearwisdom.net) On the afternoon of May 5, 2005, several practitioners from Switzerland and Hungary held a peaceful appeal in front of the Singapore Embassy in Hungary and called for the Singapore government to reverse the unjust convictions of two practitioners. They also called on the Singapore government to stop participating in persecution of Falun Gong in exchange for a little economic benefit from the Chinese Communist regime.

During the appeal, the Singapore ambassador's wife yelled at practitioners impolitely, "Don't you know? Your two practitioners have been released. I wonder why you came here today. It is meaningless." A local police officer attempted to stop her interference of practitioners' appeal, however, she scolded the police officer in charge. The practitioners tried to explain the facts to her: "We know they are released. But they are not released without charge. Their husbands paid the fines, thus the practitioners' innocent reputations have not been restored."
The practitioners were not moved by her impoliteness. The police officer knew the facts and was very supportive of the practitioners' peaceful activities.

Before police arrest demonstrators for obstruction they should remember the right to demonstrate is a fundamental freedom under the Basic Law, according to the Court of Final Appeal judgment in the Falun Gong case.
The judgment quashed the Falun Gong members' convictions for obstructing and assaulting police officers exercising their duty and prompted calls from legal experts for better police training and education in protecting constitutionally safeguarded rights.
Court of Final Appeal Judge Mr Justice Kemal Bokhary wrote in the judgment that for powers under the Police Force Ordinance to be constitutional, they have to be read in the context of freedoms and rights guaranteed in the Basic Law.
In determining whether an obstruction was unlawful, officers would have to consider whether it was unreasonable "in the sense of obstruction that the public cannot be reasonably expected to tolerate".
"A court must always remember that preservation of the freedom in full measure defines reasonableness, and is not merely a factor in deciding what is reasonable," Mr Justice Bokhary wrote.
In the Falun Gong case, neither the high-ranking officers nor frontline arresting officers mentioned consideration of the "demonstrators' constitutional right of peaceful demonstration" when testifying on how the decision to arrest was made.
John Clancey, solicitor for the Falun Gong, said the lack of evidence that officers discussed that right showed police needed more training on such cases.
"It will have to be part of the police training programme to consider, when they encounter an obstruction on the street, whether they are demonstrators and, with the fundamental right in mind, consider whether the obstruction is reasonable," Mr Clancey said.
Democrat James To Kun-sun, chairman of the Legislative Council security panel, said the ruling would help protect protesters in similar situations in future.
"It clearly sets out [that] if the reason [for the] arrest is illegal, whatever consequences [occur] as a result - such as the charge of resisting arrest - will also be deemed irrelevant," he said. "I hope police will be more restrained in future and cease being used as a political tool by the government to crack down on dissent."
He said the government should consider removing the flower beds outside the central government liaison office, which he considered a "dirty trick" to crowd the walkway and make it easier for police to ban protests at the site.
Law professor Eric Cheung Tat-ming, of the University of Hong Kong, also said the judgment showed police "may not have sufficient training or education in protecting constitutionally safeguarded rights".

Signing their names to support Falun Gong and oppose the persecution
(Clearwisdom.net) The Clark County Library has designated every May as Asian Pacific Culture Month, during which time the library presents a festival including cultural performances, Martial Arts demonstrations, food and crafts to promote culture exchange and help more people know about the culture and traditions of the Asian/Pacific region. As a cultural group, Falun Gong has been invited to the event for four consecutive years.

Each year, the practitioners come to let more people know about Falun Gong and the truth of the persecution, and every year, people are more open to the truth and more willing to take Falun Gong materials. Many visitors who came to the event have heard about the persecution in China, indicating that more and more people are awakening to the truth. When the brutal persecution is known by every family, can it continue any longer?
(Clearwisdom.net) On May 3, the Falun Dafa Twin Cities Club staged its very first Falun Dafa Day celebration event on the lawn outside Coffman Memorial Union of the University of Minnesota. The event was to help more UMN students see what Falun Gong is and thus get a better understanding of the practice as well as the ongoing persecution in China.

After seeing the Falun Gong booth, a student was delighted. She said that she had been longing to learn the practice for a long time. Upon hearing the truth of the persecution, another student said that he had learned so much from the event and he didn't know that the Chinese Communist Party was as crude as it was in the past. There was also a student who said that he had seen practitioners' anti-torture exhibition in New York City, he said: "It [the persecution] is so brutal and hard to believe."
While talking with students, practitioners found that many were very interested in learning the practice. When they learned that practitioners would open a free-teaching session on campus on the following day, they were delighted. A lot people commended the practitioners' peaceful efforts to end the persecution and signed a petition to express their support. Some also took "rescue the orphans" and "rescue Charles Lee" postcards.
More and more Mainland Chinese are learning the truth as well. A Chinese gentleman said that Falun Gong is now more and more accepted by the public, despite the brutal suppression. He said: "It is really a miracle!" He commended the practitioners' persistent efforts over the past 6 years and encouraged practitioners to hold on to this noble cause. He said that he knew there were many questionable points in the propaganda at the very beginning of the persecution: If Falun Gong was as bad as the Chinese Communist Party described, the practice would not have so many practitioners. Furthermore, it is also impossible that it would have taken the totalitarian regime 7 years to notice the problems they falsely claim are associated with Falun Gong. Another Chinese lady also said that Falun Gong is good and the CCP has no reason to persecute the practice.
Because it was not on a weekend, some practitioners took the day off from work to support the event. Western and Chinese student practitioners on campus also came to the event despite the pressure of finals. When people learned about this, many said with appreciation: We support you, your commitment is very noble and admirable.
(Clearwisdom.net) On Sunday May 1, 2005, the weather in San Diego was fine and warm. Several hundred participants and more than 60,000 local residents and visitors from around the world came to famous Balboa Park to participate in the annual celebration of Earth Day.
The administrative office of the park specifically granted a permit for the practitioners to hold activities to introduce Falun Gong in a spacious area near a huge fig tree.

The practitioners came to the park quite early. They held banners reading, "Falun Gong teaches people Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance," "Falun Dafa is good," and "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance" in both Chinese and English. They also set up over 20 photo display boards depicting the beauty of Falun Dafa and the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP's) brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. The scene was very beautiful.
During our activities to introduce Falun Gong, many predestined people came to learn the exercises. One man spent five to six hours with the practitioners. He said he liked China's Tang Dynasty culture. He was very excited upon seeing us and said that Falun Gong is what he had been looking for. He learned the exercises on the spot and also expressed that he would participate in the group practice beginning next week.
A tourist from Switzerland was also very happy to see us. She said her neighbor once taught her Falun Gong. She naturally joined the practitioners to demonstrate the exercises.
People's hearts were moved when they saw the truth-clarifying display boards that depicted torture methods used to brutally persecute Falun Gong practitioners in China. One visitor said that he could not understand why the Chinese government persecutes such a good and peaceful cultivation practice. He strongly called for an end to the persecution of Falun Gong in China.

5. The CCP Coerces Witnesses
The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) knows that in order to make its defamations and libel of Falun Dafa appear as truths, it would be more convincing if Falun Gong practitioners themselves could speak out against Falun Gong. That way, people would believe that the CCP is saving people, not persecuting them.
With scores of years of experience in using lies to deceive the Chinese people, the CCP is very effective because its true nature is fallacious. Finding a few fake practitioners who do not follow Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, which are the core principles of Falun Dafa, is relatively easy. For example, a Mr. Song from Changchun treated patients to make money by usurping the name of Falun Gong. Genuine practitioners know that Song was not a Falun Dafa practitioner because he did not follow Falun Gong's teachings. But in order to slander Falun Gong, the CCP painted Song as a leader of Falun Gong. Of course many people were deceived because most people in China did not know who Song really was.
On the other hand, the CCP is very interested in brainwashing genuine practitioners in order to use them to defame Falun Gong. Teng Chunyan, a US resident, after being detained and brainwashed for three years in a Chinese prison, stated on a TV show that she really did not want to leave the prison, because the CCP officers were so "nice" and the prison was like "a paradise."
There were other practitioners who, after being tortured and brainwashed, renounced Falun Dafa due to the intense mental and physical pressure. They recited before TV cameras what the CCP wanted them to say. This footage was then used as live testimony to defame Falun Dafa. What a tragedy!
6. The CCP Puts the Blame on the Victims
Before the 2000 UN Human Rights Conference, the CCP invited UN Human Rights Senior Officer Ms. Robinson to visit China. On March 1, 2000, when Ms. Robinson was about to leave China, she showed concern regarding the persecution of Falun Gong and indicated that the human rights situation in China had deteriorated. Facing such pressure, instead of stopping their crimes in persecuting Falun Dafa, the CCP had the audacity to add another reason to blame Falun Gong: "Damaging China's human rights' record." In the most recent UN Human Rights Conference, the CCP dispatched a "Non-Governmental Organization (NGO)" headed by Liu Jing, who is the head of the 610 Office, which specializes in persecuting Falun Gong. Liu boasted about how correct it is to persecute Falun Gong. Such clumsy tricks won't convince people in free countries, but they do deceive many Chinese people who are misled by the state monopoly of the media. As a dictatorship, China can easily mobilize millions of people to sign petitions that say bad things about Falun Gong.
In its years of producing slanderous propaganda against Falun Gong, the CCP has engineered plenty of such ploys. For example, on the afternoon on April 18, 2001, Ms. Wang Huajun, a practitioner from Macheng City, Hubei Province, was beaten nearly to death by local police. Then she was dragged to the square in front of the city government where she was set on fire and burned to death. But police officers told bystanders that it was a self-immolation.
Mr. Hu Qingyun was a judge at the Jiangxi Province Senior Court. In 1997 he developed leukemia, and in February 1998, doctors declared that he had only three days left to live. Nevertheless, he regained his health after practicing Falun Gong. But the CCP turned this case upside down, saying that Mr. Hu developed leukemia from practicing Falun Gong. On January 10, 2001, Mr. Hu was sentenced to seven years in prison, where he was not allowed to practice Falun Gong. On March 22, 2001, Mr. Hu died after the leukemia recurred.
Then there was the "TV programming interruption" event. At 8 p.m. on March 5, 2002, eight cable TV channels in Changchun, Jilin Province, suddenly broadcast "Falun Dafa Spreads Around the World" and "Self-immolation or a Fabrication?" which are Falun Gong produced programs. Saying nothing about the broadcasts' content, the CCP acted in two ways to persecute Falun Gong. First, they secretly arrested and tortured the practitioners involved in interrupting the regular programming. Second, they mobilized a new campaign to slander Falun Gong based on a distorted interpretation of this event. When Falun Gong practitioners are forced to leave home to avoid being arrested or harassed, the CCP attacks practitioners by saying, "They do not care about their families." If practitioners tell people how good Falun Gong is and how cruel Jiang's regime is, the CCP says that Falun Gong practitioners are breaking the law.
7. Slandering with No Facts
Hitler blamed the Jews for everything the German people hated. Jiang's regime has used similar tactics.
The current CCP is totally corrupt. Government officers and businessmen collude in all kinds of schemes to make money. After July 20, 1999, when the persecution started, Jiang's regime mobilized all of China's media to falsely claim that "Falun Gong accumulated wealth," because money was charged for the Falun Gong classes and so many people had bought the popular Falun Gong books. Actually, the fees charged for the Falun Gong classes were lower than any other similar classes at that time. The CCP had banned the Falun Gong books in 1996, but since Falun Gong books were so much in demand, black market printers did make a lot of money. Do you think the black market printers paid a royalty to the author?
Whatever people hate, the CCP claims that Falun Gong practitioners are responsible for it. Jiang's regime and the CCP have threatened practitioners' family members, saying that if the family members don't stop practitioners from practicing, they would be fined a huge sum of money, be fired, etc. If practitioners refuse to renounce Falun Gong, the CCP then slanders them, claiming that they "care nothing about their relatives." If practitioners yield, they are forced to attack Falun Gong.
Because people love their families and relatives, the CCP needs to depict Falun Gong practitioners as not caring about their families. Ms. Li Cuiling is a resident of Jilin City, Jilin Province. After Jiang's regime started persecuting Falun Gong in 1999, she could not understand why her practitioner friends who just tried to be good people were sent to forced labor camps. So she studied the Falun Gong books by herself. After she learned that Falun Gong actually was good, she started to practice in 2000. Even though she stopped quarreling with her husband after taking up the practice of Falun Gong, in September 2001 her husband insisted on a divorce for fear of being persecuted and involved. But the CCP said that Ms. Li did not care about her family.
One practitioner told her own story: "Before practicing Falun Gong, I did not talk to my three neighbors or my sister-in-law or my mother-in-law for four years. In the middle of reading of Zhuan Falun for the first time, I realized that I should be kind to them. So I took the initiative to talk with them. They reacted very warmly, and we enjoyed a harmonious relationship. I became a determined Falun Gong practitioner."
After she was arrested in the persecution, things totally changed. "My family members beat me and promised to interrogate me. Police officers coerced them to write them a cash guarantee before releasing me. After going home, I was unable to sleep for three days and nights. Even officers from my husband's employment unit came. Relatives came to beat me." Her husband, supported by the local "610 office," later divorced her and took away most of the family property. But the CCP propaganda libeled her as "selfish, not caring for family."
Another CCP trick is to slander Falun Gong practitioners as among the "Anti-Chinese Forces" for exposing the CCP's brutality and inhuman crimes in the persecution of Falun Gong. Jiang's regime and the CCP would not dare to reveal that Falun Gong is welcomed in over 60 countries and that no other country is persecuting Falun Gong. Just because the US Congress passed Resolution 188 condemning the persecution of Falun Gong by the CCP in China, the CCP labeled Falun Gong as one of the "anti-Chinese Forces" in order to instigate hatred towards Falun Gong practitioners. The CCP is "a sly old fox" at confusing the concept of China with the CCP itself.
8. The CCP Has No Shame
The CCP knows that, if one is going to lie, one should lie in the extreme. In any event, it's hard for ordinary people to dissect its lies. The staged "Tiananmen Self-Immolation Event" is such a big lie.
In order to dupe the public, the staged "Tiananmen Self-Immolation Event" was broadcast on TV to the whole world. On the program, the "self-immolators" claimed they were Falun Gong practitioners. In a CCP-controlled country, who could double-check seconds of live footage before believing what the CCP claimed? In this event, the CCP was making full use of people's kindness to deceive them completely. Because people could not imagine that their government would organize such a "self-immolation" event, people believed what the CCP said and began to hate Falun Gong.
It's just like in 1950's when the CCP claimed in the People's Daily that a one-Mu field could produce 5,000 kilograms of rice. People would not believe it today, but back then, everyone believed it, because that's the only thing they heard and that was the CCP official report. They did not believe the CCP would tell such a big lie.
Jiang Zemin gave orders to kill anyone who dared to spread the slowed-down footage analysis of the staged "Tiananmen Self-Immolation Event," which is further proof that the immolation was a CCP-fabricated show. Because Jiang's regime has told such an enormous lie, they know how devastating it would be if their lie were exposed. The CCP is so wary of this that it will attack anyone that might expose its lies.
Most people, though they know the CCP is deadly evil, still hold illusions about the CCP deep in their minds, because the CCP is still in control of China. People might think, "I know the CCP lies, but such a big lie?" And because of the lack of accurate information about Falun Gong, those lies make people turn against Falun Gong.

Greetings, Fellow Practitioners.
I am from Taiwan. I obtained the Fa several years ago and have been living in a comfortable environment. I want to do the three things well, while at the same time, I need also to deal with work, family, and social activities. I always feel time is too limited. Most of the time, I clarify the truth through mailing letters, sending emails, making phone calls, and chatting on the Internet. Somehow, I always feel that I am physically confined in one place and what I have done is insufficient for Fa validation and truth clarification.
About two or three years ago, when I watched the VCD, "Please Sit with Me," I was deeply moved by the practitioners who have been peacefully appealing in front of the Chinese Consulate. I wished I could go to the consulate to send forth righteous thoughts, clarify the truth, appeal for the end of the persecution, and eliminate the evil in close proximity with other practitioners.
Last year I learned the news that if circumstances allowed, practitioners might go to Manhattan to clarify the truth. I thought that I should catch up with the progress of Fa rectification. I should go to the battlefield where the evil gathers, not just stay as a member of the back-up army. I told myself, "I am a Dafa disciple, 'with an adamantine will, and with no attachment to living or dying'! (1) It is time for me to save sentient beings."
Master heard my wish. At the end of year 2004, my heavy duties in the family and work were taken over by other people. I knew the time had come, so I made plans to go to Manhattan. Other practitioners told me that we have groups for sending forth righteous thoughts and an anti-torture exhibit. I had more time and was advised to join the group for sending forth righteous thoughts. I could not help but Heshi to thank Master. Master fulfilled even such a small wish.
Before my departure, fellow practitioners asked me many times whether I had taken enough clothes, and told me how cold New York was, and what kind of things I needed to buy. I thought that I had taken all my warm clothes; in addition, I also bought a winter jacket and sweat pants, which I had never worn before. Wasn't that good enough? It turned out it was not enough, really not enough. After arriving in New York, I truly learned what cold weather is, what a world of ice and snow is, and what a bone-chilling wind is. Those description are not just words used in literature, they are real.
The first week in New York was for adaptation and adjustment. Every day, we thought about what should be the proper attire, among which boots and gloves were mostly likely ignored. Everyone had to buy more winter clothes. By the second week, when the heaviest snowstorm in the last 100 years started, we had the complete set of clothing to endure the harsh weather.
It was a Saturday. Usually we went back to our dorm after the 6:00 p.m. sending forth righteous thoughts. That day, the snowstorm was getting worse and worse. For the sake of safety, the practitioner who was in charge asked each of us individually whether we should leave earlier. Each of us gave her the same answer, "No. I will stay to the last minute." At that time, the righteous thoughts of all of us were very strong. The power of our whole body was unshakable no matter how severe the snowstorm was.
In the snowstorm, we stretched out all of our banners, did the exercises, and sent forth righteous thoughts as usual. Occasionally, vehicles passed by us. Some of them rolled down their windows and gave us thumbs up, and some said the snowstorm was too harsh and we should hurry back home. None of us moved. I repeatedly recited
"A Great Enlightened Being does not fear hardship
Having forged an adamantine will
And with no attachment to living or dying
He walks his path of Fa-rectification openly and nobly"

Although for most of us, it was our first time to see snow, we knew that there were no tests that we could not pass as long as Master and Dafa are in our hearts.
The place in front of the Chinese Consulate is an important window to clarify the truth. We all wanted to maintain a righteous field there and show people " Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance." Almost every day, there were people who took pictures of us; almost every day, there were people who showed support to us and encouraged us to persist; almost every day, there were kind people who came to us for materials. Precious Chinese people who were waiting in front of the consulate for personal business often pointed to us and talked about us. A few of them who were deeply poisoned also stared at and maliciously talked to us. We still simply Heshi and smiled to them, asking them to think about the issue calmly so that the seeds of Compassion could be planted in their hearts.
Once in the rain, while we were sending forth righteous thoughts, an American girl stopped her car, walked to us in the rain, squatted and asked us, "Why do you stay here and never leave?" Sympathy showed on her face and she looked as pretty as an angel. I gave her some materials and replied to her with my broken English, "We hope the Chinese Communist Party stops persecuting Falun Gong." She also asked whether she could write this down for publication to let more people know. We expressed our sincere gratitude to her.
Once in the wind, we tried very hard to straighten our banner. The wind in front of the Consulate always comes from all directions. It comes from the south now, but it may be from the north within a blink. You may fall together with the banner pole if you are not careful enough. A gentleman found that we could hardly stand straight and came to help us. He stood with us until the wind was not that strong. We gave him materials and expressed our gratitude to him. He did not leave us until he was sure that we would not have any problems. I was happy for the kindhearted sentient being and Master's words came into my mind,
"Dafa looks at a people's hearts.
Worldly people should be clear-headed.
God, human, ghost, animal, extinction,
The position is determined by oneself."

When holding the banner in front of the Chinese Consulate, I always sent forth righteous thoughts in my heart and looked at the vehicles and pedestrians with a smile. I noticed that parents always told their children about us when they passed us. I also noticed that teachers would explain to their students about us when buses full of students passed us. To them, we are the living teaching material about democracy. Once, some precious Chinese people passed us quickly, and none of them took materials from us. However, one of them eventually came to us and took many materials away, saying that he took them for his fellow tourists. He also told us that those people who have not traveled abroad don't believe that Falun Gong is legitimate outside China. I felt sorry for our fellow Chinese who were deceived by lies, while at the same time, I cheered for those precious lives who can position themselves well.
When practitioners stay together, we judge everything according to the Fa. It is truly an environment for us to compare Fa study and cultivation. Everything happening in daily life is an opportunity to eliminate our attachments and correct our notions. For example, practitioners in North America prepared a comfortable living environment for us; practitioners reminded each other to be careful so that we would not disturb our neighbors since we always went out early and came back late. We all wanted to be like from one family, so we took turns cooking, cleaning, and organizing materials. No matter whether the food was tender, hard, sweet, salty, or spicy, there were always people who did not like the food. As for the cleaning, some people had a higher standard, and some were not that strict. Each time when we had conflict, we could resolve it very fast. If there were any gaps, practitioners would make it up without complaints. One practitioner who normally cared a lot about food often reminded herself by saying out loud, "Mouth free from attachment." (2)
Once I told a practitioner that the traffic lights in New York were only for cars. Pedestrians could go across the road if there were no cars. The practitioner told me that last time when she was in New York, it appeared true that no pedestrians paid attention to traffic lights. However, practitioners must stop and watch the light. They would not go across the road until the signals were on. Dafa disciples set an example for everyday people. This time when she came to New York again, she found out that many pedestrians would stop and wait for the signals. I felt ashamed of myself after hearing that. I simply followed everyday people without thinking. This should not be the behavior of a Dafa disciple.
I always consider that I have been doing pretty well in cultivation since compassion is my principle to interact with others. After sharing with other practitioners, I found that I harmonize interpersonal relationships for the sake of protecting myself by not offending others. In order to get along with other people, I dare not point out the gaps of others. In order to show my broad mindedness, I intentionally praise other people's achievement. In fact, this is the craftiness of an everyday person. I was really shocked by this realization. I would like to thank my fellow practitioners for pointing this out.
I would also like to thank Master for offering us such a good environment for cultivation. At last, I would like to finish my talk with Master's poem:
Cultivation is not difficult
The earthly heart is hard to discard
So many attachments - when to sever them
Everyone knows the sea of suffering has no shore
If the will is not firm
Barriers are like mountains
How to transcend the mortal world

(Clearwisdom.net) In my efforts to clarify the truth and offer people salvation, there are two incidents that I will never forget. I share these stories with fellow practitioners today.
Story 1
There is a woman over 80 years old who had been bedridden for quite a few years. She couldn't take care of herself and needed to be fed.
I went to her home to clarify the truth to her family members. When I had finished and was ready to leave I heard a voice, "Can you come over and talk to me?" I went into her room with one thought in my mind, "I have come here to offer salvation to people. I will clarify the truth despite her condition and age." I felt that my righteous thoughts were very strong. All of a sudden the sickroom smells were no longer noticeable, and I had the feeling of "the Buddha's light shines everywhere, propriety and righteousness harmonize everything," (1) and felt extremely comfortable. I instantly realized that Master was compassionately giving us a hint to let her obtain the Fa now. She was one who had truly come to obtain the Fa.
The woman said, "I heard everything you said in the other room. Half of my illnesses were gone when you stepped into the room. I am very happy." Her tears of happiness continuously dropped from her thin face onto the pillow, like a string of clear spring water. I told her why people get sick, how to cure disease, and that the real purpose of being a human is to return to one's original, true self ...As long as you are determined to practice Falun Dafa, Master's law bodies will purify your body and protect you from danger until you reach Consummation, and other things. I also told her that disciples who truly practice Falun Dafa are in great physical shape. She smiled at me and nodded.
The next day I gave her a copy of Master's audiotape, "Lecture at Jinan" and a copy of Zhuan Falun. Her health improved quickly, and the difference was more apparent every day. Half a month later she whispered to me with excitement, "I am having my period." The display of Dafa's power in her body was remarkable.
I went by her home two months later and visited her. Fully dressed, she was sitting next to the dining table. She hadn't worn clothes for the last few years because of being bedridden. The things I saw with my own eyes showed again Master's compassion and Dafa's supernormal power.
Currently, the woman is progressing very well on her cultivation path. She is almost fully recovered, and the illnesses of the past dozen years are all gone. She can walk around without any help and is able to take care of herself. I felt very gratified when I saw her in such a good condition.
Story 2
In September 2004, I saw an elderly woman sitting in the sunshine when I passed by a subdivision. I went to talk with her. During the conversation she mentioned, "I have five sons and two daughters. At our family gatherings we have about 30 people. Everything is fine except my health. I have pains here and there." She pointed to her right leg and said, "It doesn't move anymore." I told her, "Sister, we definitely have a predestined relationship. I brought you good fortune." "Predestined relationship? Good fortune?" she responded in disbelief. I gave her a "good wish" card. She received it with both hands and looked it over. Suddenly she said, "I feel so comfortable. I never felt this way before." When I stood up and was ready to leave, she asked me to visit again soon.
On my way home I had an idea: I would not only rescue her, but also her entire family of 30 people. The second day I went to her house to give her truth clarification materials. There was nobody at home. I left the materials at the front door.
In January this year I met her in a supermarket. She told me that she had a lot to tell me. She said, "Everybody in the family watched the materials you brought to me. The card you gave to me reads, 'Recite, "Falun Dafa is good" silently; you will have good health and good fortune.' It was amazing! I recovered from my illness a few days later, and had less pain when my right leg touched the ground. I tried to walk, and today I walked to the supermarket. At my birthday party, my children wanted me to make a wish. I said, "Today is my 66th birthday. All of you are fine children. You purchased so much exercise equipment for me, and spent almost 30,000 yuan, in addition to the money you spent on medicine in the last few years. It was a large sum of money! But it didn't get rid of my illness. Money cannot buy good health, however, this small card did it and had the ability to do what money cannot buy. I ask you to recite with me, 'Falun Dafa is good, and Zhen Shan Ren is good!' So the entire family, almost 30 people, recited, 'Falun Dafa is good, Zhen Shan Ren is good' before dinner." She continued, "Thank you so much, sister." I replied, "Please do not thank me. Thank our Master. He advised us to do this."
I also told her that Falun Dafa has spread to more than 60 countries worldwide; and that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) planted evidence to frame Falun Dafa; that people in many countries are suing Jiang Zemin and requested to try the chief culprit who persecuted Falun Dafa. I told her that after the publication of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, the wave of resignations from the CCP is getting higher and higher. I also gave her the book Nine Commentaries ask her to pass it to her family members. I told her the sooner people quit the CCP, the better.
In mid-December she told me that four or five people in her family had begun to learn Dafa. Everybody in the family quit the CCP and its affiliates. They were all safe now.
As long as we "Validate the Fa with rationality, clarify the truth with wisdom, spread the Fa and save people with mercy," ("Rationality") we can do a good job in completing the historic tasks Dafa has assigned us.

2. Carefully Examining My Thoughts, Searching for the Slightest Disrespect for Teacher
Everyone can clearly identify the confusion of the previously mentioned practitioner and the disrespect to Teacher in my mind. However, there are other types of well-hidden and not so easily identified disrespectful thoughts toward Teacher.
Not long ago, I became acquainted with a lay Buddhist. Before the end of last year, she was diagnosed with breast cancer and was hospitalized. I took care of her for several days without any complaint. She was very touched by my selflessness. She is a very devoted Buddhist, and she also knows about cultivating one's heart. But it appeared to me that she was having a hard time. She did not know and could not let go of many attachments. In particular, the relationships she had with her mother-in-law and sister-in-law had troubled her for over twenty years. I explained to her that Falun Dafa is a cultivation practice and I also told her many examples of how other practitioners and I had cultivated our xinxing. I gave her one example about my mother-in-law. When my mother-in-law repeatedly created obstacles for me, I still helped her without complaint or regret. I paid off several tens of thousands of yuan in debts she had. When she was in urgent need of money, I even sold my necklace to help her out. When my mother-in-law was truly moved by my action and the power of Dafa, she became an advocate for Dafa and told everyone how good Dafa is.
She was released from hospital very soon after because her tumor was not malignant. Through her, I had the opportunity to clarify the truth to Buddhists and Christians. They said to me, "I had some prejudices against Falun Gong before I met you, but I have changed my mind. You are genuine cultivators." Usually when this happened, I would explain my understanding of the teachings to them a little more. I told them that thinking about others before oneself is what a cultivator should do; that the highest realm for a cultivator is to be able to sacrifice one's life for the universal truths. In the end, I would tell them the facts of persecution and about the spirit of Falun Gong cultivators who persevere in the face of adversity.
Then I noticed a trend - they started to admire me. They often praised me because I have big ears and a round face like a Buddha. They always said to me, "You are truly extraordinary, you are not an ordinary person." I was alarmed by such praises. I would immediately tell them that my Teacher said,
"For a cultivator, all the frustrations he comes across among everyday people are trials, and all the compliments he receives are tests."

I reminded them not to worship me. As a result, they admired me even more. They would say that my cultivation was solid and they could not achieve such a state themselves. As I heard these comments so often, I started to feel a little excited and zealous. I carefully examined myself and realized that I had the desire for fame. Thus I repeatedly recited a part of Teacher's article "Cultivators' Avoidances" (Essentials For Further Advancement),
"Those who are attached to their reputations practice an evil way, full of intention. Once they gain renown in this world, they are bound to say good but mean evil, thereby misleading the public and undermining the Fa."
At the same time, I also eliminated the evil factors in my mind.
However, sometimes, I caught myself thinking, "Look at me, how diligent I am. I am so careful in searching within myself!" This time I really searched myself for the root of this thought, and I found a frightening trend. Disrespecting Teacher is the root cause of my believing that I have cultivated to a high level. It manifests in my talking mostly about myself with a less righteous state of mind. What else could cause people to admire me instead of Teacher?
In "Fa-Lecture During the 2003 Lantern Festival at the U.S. West Fa Conference," Teacher said,
"[W]hether you respect me or not, as your Master, I really, truly don't mind. Back then, as I was saving you, a lot of you were cursing at me. There were people who were cursing at me even while at my classes. I don't mind. I just want to save you. (Applause) What I'm trying to say is, personally I don't mind at all how you treat Master. I'm not affected by any factors at any level of the cosmos. But there's one problem, which is, if you don't respect Master, it's wrong according to the principles of the cosmos, and the old forces will take advantage of the gap and destroy you because of this. They'll have seized the biggest excuse to destroy you, since they've seen the entire process of my saving you."

"So, for those students of ours who are momentarily in a fog and whose states of mind aren't right, think about it, once you become disrespectful of me, the old forces will do ruthless things to you, and they'll think that this person is just awful. Of course, they absolutely won't annihilate you right away. They'll guide you, have you see more and more false visions, make your mind less and less righteous, make your heart toward Master change in a demonic way, lead you down an evil path, and by doing so make you commit huge sins."
In fact, this issue was clearly explained in the section "The Mentality of Showing Off" in Zhuan Falun. Teacher said:
"No matter what happens, one must maintain good xinxing. Only through adhering to Dafa can one be truly right. Whether it is your supernormal abilities or your Unlocking of Gong, you achieve them through practicing cultivation in Dafa. If you put Dafa in a secondary place and put your supernatural powers in the primary place, or as an enlightened person you believe that what you understand one way or another is correct, or if you even regard yourself as being great and beyond Dafa, I would say that you have already started to stumble. It would be dangerous and you would become ever worse. At that time, you would really be in trouble, and your cultivation would end up in vain. If things are not done right, you will stumble and fail in your cultivation."
It is more and more clear to me that in past lectures, Teacher talked about all sorts of phenomena that are happening today. All genuine practitioners need to carefully examine themselves. In addition, I can also recognize the existence of the old forces. They are jealous of us because we are the Fa-rectification period disciples, and they are scared because they know they will be eliminated. They eye us covetously. If we show an un-righteous thought, they use it to destroy us because they are evil.
I know a female fellow practitioner. Before July 20, 1999, Teacher enlightened her in a dream. In the dream, she saw a travel-worn goddess with long hair walk into the human realm with a solemn expression. Both she and I knew that she was the goddess in her own dream. She was so determined when she first came to Dafa, but now she has fallen to a dangerous spot where she is no longer seriously cultivating anymore.
Therefore, every one of us should examine our thoughts for the slightest disrespect for Teacher. For example, when we are pleased with ourselves when validating the Fa, when those of us who can see with the celestial eye start to think that our own understandings are great, and when we start to think of ourselves as infallible because other practitioners have praised us, etc. If our hearts are moved even slightly and think that we have cultivated higher than others, we should eliminate those thoughts. We must be responsible to ourselves and clearly recognize the roles we are playing in Fa-rectification.
Finally, I would like to conclude this article with a section of Teacher's article, "My Version of a 'Stick Wake-up.'"
"The path that Dafa disciples have walked in validating the Fa--where as they cultivate themselves they also save sentient beings, accommodate the needs of the cosmos's Fa-rectification, and disintegrate and clear away the dark minions and rotten demons that are negatively impacting the Fa-rectification and doing evil against Dafa disciples, as well as all the elements of interference and persecution arranged by the old forces--such is the complete path of cultivation, Consummation, and becoming a magnificent god that Disciples of Dafa walk."

(Clearwisdom.net) There were tens of thousands of Falun Dafa practitioners in our city before the persecution started. Since the persecution began on July 20, 1999, the practitioners in our city have created an environment in which we offer people salvation and validate Falun Dafa, despite the brutal persecution and the severe pressure.
I. Validate Dafa: the great way has no form but Dafa practitioners are one body
1. Cooperating as one body
Since the persecution started in 1999, some practitioners have volunteered to act as coordinators despite the tremendous pressure. We had coordinators even in small areas. The coordinators discussed and made plans when major incidents took place and worked with each other and shared the workload. The coordinators saw the big picture and were in charge of hosting Fa conferences so all practitioners could share their experiences and improve together. Some practitioners were in charge of purchasing equipment; some practitioners were in charge of installing computers, getting online and teaching other practitioners web skills; some practitioners wrote articles and edited truth clarification materials; some practitioners were responsible for printing; some were in charge of establishing coordination with practitioners in other cities and districts, as well as delivering truth clarification materials; some were responsible for Dafa books; some were helping practitioners who had gone astray. Since the beginning of the persecution, we cooperated well as one body despite the atmosphere of terror, and the practitioners in our city have been an indestructible, whole body in the past few years.
2. Persisting in sharing at Fa conferences; persisting in studying the Fa as a group and improving as one body
Fa conferences, doing the Falun Gong exercises and studying the Fa as a group are the form of cultivation Teacher has left us. We never cancelled a single Fa conference, no matter how rampant the persecution was or how dangerous the situation appeared. In fact, we held the largest number of conferences during the period when the evil was most rampant. When significant changes took place inside or outside China, when an important issue emerged in an area or when practitioners in a certain area had misunderstandings toward Fa rectification, the coordinators would host a Fa conference to improve our understanding and improve as one body.
The coordinators pay close attention to the Minghui website and the process of Fa-rectification. When Teacher gave specific requests on the overall situation of Fa-rectification, the coordinators would host a Fa conference to address those areas where practitioners fell short. In 2002, when the persecution was severe in a certain area and Fa rectification work was affected, the local coordinators planned a Fa conference. The situation in that area at the time was highly stressful, and there were many plainclothes police officers patrolling the area. We discussed whether we should still hold a Fa conference and eventually decided, "At this time, practitioners in this area need to share their experiences to help them improve quickly. This is the goal of a Fa conference. External changes should not affect Fa conferences and there would not be any problems if we walked our path righteously." We held the conference on time and it helped the local practitioners to actively participate in Fa rectification.
Nevertheless, we also suffered three major losses in the past few years. They took place in December 2000, May 2001 and January 2002. In January 2002, practitioners from another area came to our city to converse with us because they had some conflicts. They decided to hold a Fa conference after they found a few local practitioners. They telephoned each other and gave detailed information on the location of the conference on the phone, including the building number, the door number and the details of what was going to take place. As a result of this carelessness, 29 practitioners were arrested.
We learned from this lesson and now notify practitioners of Fa conferences in person, not via telephone. Once we cancelled a conference when we learned a practitioner had given telephone notice. Another time we cancelled a conference because the number of practitioners attending the conference far exceeded the expected number. Based on being responsible to the Fa and to improve as one body, we decided not to host conferences just to go through formalities; not to compete with other regions in terms of the number of conferences we hold; and we should not host conferences for the sake of the conference itself. Now, almost every practitioner can regard Fa conferences with a solemn and righteous mentality.
Amid the fanatical persecution, we founded Fa study groups despite the pressure. Through group Fa study and experience sharing we saw our omissions and gaps, and we saw that practitioners who persisted with righteous thoughts and righteous actions did well in their areas.
Practitioners in one small district of several hundred households were highly afraid, and truth clarification activity was nearly non-existent. They formed several Fa study groups and got together periodically to study the Fa. A few practitioners from each group would get together and share their experiences. Their xinxing improved quickly. During the Fa validating work they not only distributed truth clarification materials in their own area but also made same-day trips to nearby cities. They formed an indestructible group of Fa particles during Dafa validation.
II. Dafa Material Production Sites throughout the city
1. Pooling our efforts to build and maintain material production sites
In 2000, Dafa practitioners realized we should tell the world's people about the facts of the persecution, to help them see the wonders of Dafa and be saved from permanent disaster. Despite the severe atmosphere, some practitioners who were forced into homelessness bought equipment and started clarifying the truth. The coordinators felt the Dafa practitioners' selflessness and the power of the one body. Practitioners from all areas did their best to support causes of validation of Dafa, truth clarification and offering people salvation. Some used their money to print flyers; some bought equipment; some volunteered their technical skills; some even sold their furniture and some used the money that they saved for their weddings to be used to print flyers or buy equipment.
Practitioner Wang Shuqin was tortured to death on September 21, 2002 at the age of 63. She and her husband owned a grocery store; they lived frugally but used their savings to make truth clarification materials. Because of the selflessness of the practitioners, the material production sites in our city have never stopped running because of financial difficulties.
2. Full financial, technical and xinxing support for surrounding areas
Because of the practitioners' realization of the concept that all practitioners are one whole body and our financial abilities and our willingness to sacrifice for Dafa, the situation of Fa rectification progressed rapidly in our city. We distributed many truth clarification flyers in surrounding counties and villages. We delivered carloads of flyers to other areas, and we also provided out-of-town practitioners with money, clothing and equipment. Practitioners who had technical skills went to other areas to teach the practitioners how to get online and helped them build material production sites. When serious issues arose, coordinators would ask practitioners from that area to come to our city or they would go to those areas and organize a Fa conference, to help those practitioners improve xinxing as one body and keep up with Fa rectification.
We also encountered many difficulties.
Practitioner Wang Kemin was tortured to death in May 2003 at the age of 38. He was in charge of delivering the flyers to a certain area. Once he had to visit several practitioners before one practitioner accepted the flyers. At his next visit, however, he saw the flyers from last time were collecting dust in a corner. He had to carry the flyers back.
In the past few years, practitioners in other cities who were persecuted also affected our city. Once one practitioner in another city was abducted and the perpetrators tried to abduct practitioners in our city through her. They abducted one practitioner in our city and tortured her, but she escaped with the power of her righteous thoughts. The perpetrators tried to create distrust among us, but we refused to leave the practitioners alone because they affected us, because we are one whole body. The practitioner in our city in charge of delivering the flyers as well as the coordinator went to the other city and held a Fa conference. After we shared our opinions and improved together, practitioners from that city came to our city to pick up flyers. They also reconvened Fa study groups and built material production sites to keep up with Fa rectification. Because of our realization that Dafa practitioners are one whole body and our willingness to sacrifice, we built a solid foundation for offering people salvation on a larger scale.
3. A painful lesson
In early 2001, the material production sites in our city not only churned out truth clarification flyers but also provided Dafa books for practitioners who were returning to Dafa practice. We learned from our experiences. Some were in charge of printing and distributing flyers; some exposed the persecution online; some helped practitioners who had gone astray; some printed Dafa books and some held experience-sharing conferences. Because we cooperated well as a whole body, the situation in our city improved quickly.
In late 2001, there were a limited number of practitioners who were making truth clarification materials. Most of the practitioners were homeless to resist the persecution. As the demand for flyers increased, the practitioners in charge of making flyers studied the Fa less and became less diligent in personal cultivation and improvement. Some practitioners were attached to themselves and developed attachments to their work. The main coordinators had conflicts and refused to listen to kind reminders from other practitioners, which provided the perpetrators with excuses for the persecution.
In March 2002, after practitioners in Changchun City successfully tapped into the cable TV system and broadcast truth clarification videos, the practitioners in our city also started planning a similar feat. They bought many types of equipment and were busy installing them. Some practitioner rarely studied the Fa or did the exercises, and some practitioners didn't sleep for days and their eyes were bloodshot. Other practitioners saw these people were in a dangerous state and kindly reminded them, but they said they were busy and would study the Fa as a group after the busy period was over. In fact, the work to validate Dafa cannot replace Fa-rectification cultivation! Around April 18, 2002, practitioners involved in the tapping incident were arrested, all equipment and Dafa related materials were taken away, and the direct financial loss was hundreds of thousands of yuan. What was worse, the practitioners who were arrested were the backbones in Dafa work in our city, and their arrest almost paralyzed Dafa validation efforts in our city. Practitioners who stayed home didn't have the courage to step forward, and the overall situation was in a slump
4. Building smaller scale material production sites
After trials and tribulations, Dafa practitioners matured and realized the seriousness of Dafa practice. They calmed down and studied the Fa and adjusted their state of cultivation. Because of the shortcomings associated with large material production sites, one practitioner proposed that we should dismantle the one large material production site and build numerous smaller sites.
There were many articles then discussing how to build smaller material production sites throughout an area. The practitioners working at the material production site shared thoughts with practitioners who stayed home and helped them realize the importance of having widespread material production sites. Practitioners who worked at the material production sites taught the stay-at-home practitioners technical skills and eliminated their fear of being discovered by the authorities. Some practitioners who used to stay home improved quickly and devoted themselves to working at the material production sites; more of these practitioners stepped forward and actively shouldered Fa-validating work.
There were only three material production sites in an area with more than 100 practitioners. The practitioners who took charge of the sites had a heavy workload and they were afraid. They stopped production when a stressful situation arose. They went to discuss this with the coordinators. The coordinators held a Fa conference regarding the issue of building widespread material production sites. One week later the goal was achieved.
During the persecution, despite the financial hardships and various difficulties, Dafa material production sites have followed a righteous path and have functioned better and better. As of early 2003, we have basically achieved the goal of having widespread material production sites. Right now, almost every single material production site in our city can operate independently and in cooperation with others.

(Clearwisdom.net) The following are some experiences of practitioners in our area over the past five years of assimilating to the Fa and saving sentient beings. We wrote this out to share with fellow practitioners.
I. The Issue of the Starting Point
Experience 1
Around April 25th, 2002, eight practitioners from our area were arrested. One practitioner came to my home and told me to pay attention to the security issue and not to answer phone calls or the doorbell. My reaction was I still had to go to work and what if they'd seize me during work hours? I was depressed and didn't view the issue truly from the standpoint of the Fa, denying these old force arrangements. Just a few days later the police came to my workplace and arrested me, taking me to a detention center. Four prisoners immediately started to beat me. Though I had the attachment of fear, I told them from my heart, "You will not be able to repay for your beating me today. What are you going to do with your lives in the future?" Afterwards, they all stopped beating me.
During the three months of detention I filed charges against the political and security section for their illegal arrest and thus they put me into a forced labor camp. I had a thought at that moment that my path had been arranged by Master, and I wouldn't acknowledge any persecution imposed on me. I would walk along the Fa-rectification path arranged by Master.
One day the bureau chief of my workplace came to visit me and attempted to persuade me to give up practice. After I refused him, he angrily said, "If you don't give up then you'll be sent to forced labor!" He walked away angrily. I then looked for the deputy bureau chief and told him about the chief's attitude. I said, "I won't blame him for treating me with such a bad attitude, but he treated Dafa very poorly. What kind of future will he have?" As at that moment I was indeed on the standpoint of being responsible for him, the chief's mind was changed. Soon after that, he bailed me out of detention with three bureau chiefs' CCP memberships and their official titles.
Before getting out of the detention center I had a dream. I dreamed of a "Fa boat" approaching the shore. There were a lot of beings inside the boat and a big chair in the middle. Moreover, it seemed like a voice was telling me, "You are qualified and have reached consummation." And I was allowed to sit on that big chair. After waking up I was very happy and thought I was qualified. But after I came out of the detention center, through continuous Fa study and sharing I realized that my understanding was absolutely wrong. My being put in the detention center was not Master's arrangement at all.
Master said,
"...in actuality the real dung is precisely those old forces and all of the beings that try to force something on the Fa-rectification."

Because I didn't assimilate well with Dafa, I didn't completely deny the old forces' arrangements, and jumped into the real dung trying to clean myself. How wouldn't I become even dirtier? What Master has asked us to do are just three things: study the Fa, send forth righteous thoughts and clarify the truth. Further, the tribulation Master arranged is for truly improving one's xinxing, and as long as one's xinxing is improved one would be able to pass that tribulation. But the tribulations arranged by the old forces will destroy all the sentient beings. If the old forces think that I'm qualified and have reached consummation, that is simply the qualification in the old force's arrangement, while their true nature is to destroy me and destroy all the sentient beings.
Previously I thought being detained was because of my depression and fear, but now my understanding has improved to another level and I have a clearer understanding. Our having human notions are not to justify their persecution of us, but to be let go of during our assimilation to Dafa and saving sentient beings. The old forces shouldn't have any excuse to persecute us. Our notions do need to be rectified, but that's for validating Dafa and saving the sentient beings with an even purer mind.
Experience 2
During the "16th National CCP Conference" in 2002, one practitioner from our area was put into a brainwashing class. Two people monitored and tightly followed her 24 hours a day. As she couldn't study the Fa in her own home - her husband opposed her studying Dafa - during the period in the brainwashing class she even felt fairly good, for she could study the Fa there. She found an excuse to come to my home to pick up some Dafa books while she was accompanied by her two monitors. I angrily said to her, "All others are studying the Fa at home, sending forth righteous thoughts and clarifying the truth, doing the three things required by Master. But you even feel that staying in the brainwashing class is fairly good. What are you thinking?" I also shared many of my understandings of the Fa principles. She seemed to understand.
After they left, other practitioners and I sent forth righteous thoughts to destroy all the evil elements in the brainwashing class. However, after two or three days had passed, no result was seen. We went on sharing and looked inward. Firstly, we still had complaints about the practitioner in the brainwashing class, and had them mixed with competitiveness, therefore, so our righteous thoughts were not pure. We realized that we are now in Fa rectification cultivation, not in individual cultivation. All persecution of fellow practitioners is aimed at Dafa, and Master does not acknowledge this. When a fellow practitioner is in trouble, if the rest of us just complain and blame, then what is our standpoint?
After becoming clearer on the Fa, we sent forth strong righteous thoughts to eliminate all the elements in the brainwashing center, and those targeting our fellow practitioner. Half an hour later, the relative (also a practitioner) of that fellow practitioner came to my home and said, "The sign in front of the brainwashing class is gone. I don't know where the practitioners and the staff of the 610 Office have gone." She was wondering whether they had been sent to the detention center. We said, "No, that's impossible. She must already be at home, as we have found our attachment and have sent forth strong righteous thoughts to eliminate all evil elements.
20 minutes later, the fellow practitioner phoned and told us that she was already back home. The brainwashing class in our area had completely collapsed.
Experience 3
In August 2004, four practitioners from the local village were arrested and taken to the detention center. We immediately notified fellow practitioners to send forth righteous thoughts and in the meantime exposed the evildoers on the Internet. We also did lots of truth clarification work to publicly expose them locally. However after a period of time, none of them were rescued. One of them was even sent to a forced labor camp.
So we had an experience sharing session. I said, "What do they stand for? How are they worthy of playing any role in the Fa rectification? We are beings formed during the Fa rectification of the cosmos. We have the ability to resolve all these issues in denying and eliminating their arrangements."
The next day, the husband of an arrested practitioner (and himself a practitioner) came to my home. He had lots of complaints about his wife. I asked him, "What was she doing? Didn't she go to save sentient beings? What did they do wrong? That's completely the evil's fault! We should clearly distinguish this!"
This practitioner suddenly became clear. I then asked him to call their local coordinator to inform everyone to send forth righteous thoughts. But the coordinator said that it could not be done as there were practitioners being tailed. I took the phone and told him, "Our family members are suffering persecution in the detention center right now, and another one is in critical condition in the hospital after being on a hunger strike. How can we just think about our own safety? Who arranged the tails? Should we acknowledge this? As I understand it, as a life in the universe increases its selfishness, it drops downward. Please, immediately inform local practitioners to send forth righteous thoughts!"
Afterwards, some practitioners went to the hospital to closely send forth righteous thoughts, some made phone calls, some posted and handed out truth-clarifying fliers. Finally, two practitioners were rescued, yet there was still another one imprisoned whose cultivation wasn't very solid.
We continued our experience sharing among three or five practitioners. Even though a practitioner had some attachment or shortcoming, it would be rectified during the process of assimilating to Dafa. It shouldn't be an excuse for them to be persecuted. So we continued sending forth strong righteous thoughts to rescue the practitioner. It was not too long afterwards that the coordinator of that area called us to advise us that the other practitioner had also been released. All practitioners from our area who were being detained have now been rescued.
Through further experience sharing and looking inward, we found that every one of us had a common attachment. That was, we all thought it was easier to rescue someone from a local detention center than from a forced labor camp. Also, many practitioners thought that it was rather evil there. During every day's sending forth righteous thoughts, we all claimed our willingness to rescue the fellow practitioners, but didn't know that our righteous thoughts had been blocked by our own notions. They didn't play the role they should have. In the meantime, through sharing we noticed that as one body, we had elements of numbness and passivity, and a lack of strong confidence in the power of Dafa. The key is that we must understand that everything is determined by us! We are definitely able to rescue our fellow practitioners and get them out.
A practitioner's husband was due to be released from a forced labor camp. However, when the practitioner went to the camp to process the release, no one would sign off and each person said they were not responsible for it. I said, "Whose family member is he? Isn't he our family member? How can we not help?" I immediately informed fellow practitioners to send forth righteous thoughts and told her, "Tomorrow, you go there to get the paper work stamped. You will certainly get it!" The next afternoon, the practitioner got the stamp smoothly and finally got her husband released. Then we also rescued six practitioners from another two forced labor camps. One of them was due to be released in another year and a-half but was suddenly released without any process. My understanding is as long as we are clear-minded on the Fa, determined in the Fa, and send forth righteous thoughts with a true mind, everything can be resolved.

Through practitioners' persistent efforts in spreading Dafa in the past several years, the Turkish people are gradually learning about Falun Dafa and taking up the practice. While they all know about the persecution, they are not scared by it. On the contrary, they cherish Dafa even more after they realized that the persecution is so evil. Having experienced the greatness of Falun Dafa, the Turkish practitioners are now taking the initiative to spread Dafa to their relatives, friends and coworkers.
Below are a few stories of these new practitioners:
1. 8-year-old Lila introduced Dafa to her teacher and whole class
Little Lila's father is a prosperous car dealer. When practitioners went to a shopping mall to spread Dafa last year, the manager of the mall introduced her father to the practitioners' booth. He said: "I cannot buy health, though I have a lot of money." He knew that China has some ancient cultivation methods. After hearing a brief introduction of Dafa, he took some materials and said: "Let me give this a try first, then I will introduce this practice to the school which I funded so that all the children in the school will be healthy."
He and his daughter Lila both watched and learned the exercises from a Falun Gong Exercise Instruction VCD at home. Last month, Lila played the VCD for her class, and her teacher and all her classmates watched the VCD and learned the exercises together. Several days ago, Lila came to me to learn the practice again. She is the first child I have seen learn the exercises so seriously. She was looking at every movement of mine with great attention. At that very moment, she told me that her knee suddenly hurt. I knew that it was the Master cleansing her body. I said: "It will be O.K. in just a little while. Don't worry." She listened to me and indeed followed my suggestion.
2. An annual Turkish Health Expo was held in Ankara from April 24 to 26. Practitioners participated in this event to spread Falun Dafa. A western practitioner got permission to give a 5-minute introduction of Falun Dafa on stage. More than 300 visitors and expo vendors thus heard about Falun Dafa. The introduction met with warm applause, and many people came to ask about the local practice sites. Practitioners distributed fliers and answered questions such as how to start to practice Falun Gong. One after another, people accepted the fliers and asked questions about the practice.
3. Alicia started to practice Falun Gong about 6 months ago, and she is now a new person: healthy and young again. She cherishes Dafa and talked about Falun Dafa with her friends who work at a TV station. She said: "I hope all Turkish people will learn the practice. Please spread the news of Falun Dafa to the whole nation through TV broadcasting." Alicia also told them, "I was 55 when I just started to practice, but now I look like 45 and I feel so energetic."

4. On the morning of April 30, a practitioner who has been practicing for about 6 months told us that a miracle happened to her: She was cooking that morning, and she accidentally spilled boiling water on herself. However, her hand just turned a little reddish for a while and was not seriously burned. She also told us that she had just finished Zhuan Falun for the first time. She asked me why her hands were not scalded and if it was related to Falun Gong. I said: You just need to read Zhuan Falun more. Falun Dafa is supernormal.

On May 2, I went to a few places on business and talked with people about Falun Dafa. Some recognized me as I was in the TV interview the night before. They said that the practice shown on TV was really good and the music and the practice brought people inner peace. They said that they would come to learn once they found the time. Now, most Turkish people know that there is a Falun Gong practice site at Ankara center offering free teaching.

This incident began when someone reported to the authorities that there was a Dafa conference in progress. Police officers came and arrested a number of practitioners, and I was among them.
At the police station that evening, I was interrogated, but I decided not to answer any of their questions. After a whole night of questioning, the policeman's page remained blank. The officers only remembered that I was a Dafa practitioner and that Falun Dafa was good.
The next morning, new officers came on duty. Their demon nature was quickly revealed when they kicked and punched us. After the beating, I was relocated to another office, where officers interrogated me again. I responded with silence. That night, they left me handcuffed in the hall with a guard to watch me. A padlock was put on the main door, and outside the door was a steel gate, which was also locked. The guard put a folding bed across the doorway so that he could watch me.
Under these circumstances, escape was out of the question. I told myself, "Our apprehension by the police was definitely the work of the old forces, and I cannot accept that. I must expose this persecution and take the path Teacher has planned."
The night was chilly, and I was shivering. When I finally settled down, the guard had already fallen asleep. I started to struggle to free my hands from the handcuffs. But the more I struggled, the tighter the handcuffs seemed to grip my wrists; they bit into my flesh painfully.
Suddenly, I was enlightened to this principle: Under such circumstances, any person would struggle to try to free himself. But hadn't Teacher said that our body in the other dimension can shrink and expand at will? So, if the handcuffs do not change in size in the other dimension and our body can, then...
Teacher's words suddenly flash across my mind,
"For a practitioner, one's mind intent dictates the supernormal ability to do things. For an everyday person, one's mind intent directs the four limbs and the sensory organs to work..." (Zhuan Falun -Lecture 9)
Yes, that's it. Quickly, I asked Teacher to strengthen my supernormal power, and my hands simply slipped out of the handcuffs with ease.
I withheld my excitement. While waiting patiently for the right opportunity, I could not help feeling amazed at how wonderfully Teacher arranges things. Then, just before dawn, an officer knocked at the door and asked to be let in. Still half asleep, the guard got up and opened the doors. After unlocking the padlocks, unbolting the doors, and letting the officer in, he simply re-bolted the doors and went to the washroom, forgetting to put the padlocks back on. Those few seconds were enough for me to walk out of the police station with dignity.
(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Sun Chuilian was twenty-eight years old, from Ningan City, Heilongjiang Province. She was sentenced to a labor camp in May or June of 2002. While in the labor camp, she suffered long-term torture. She was subjected to various forms of physical torture such as electric shocks and being tied to an iron chair. She was forced to squat from 5:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m., during which time she was only given two meals. The torture lasted for seven months. Afterwards, Ms. Sun carried on a two-month-long hunger strike to protest the abuse. During the hunger strike, she was subjected to the iron chair torture and she was severely injured as a result. Soon after she was released, Sun Chuilian passed away around the end of 2003 or early 2004.
Ms. Liu Tongling was fifty-two years old. She worked at Daqing Oil Refinery Plant in Heilongjiang Province. She was sent to the Harbin Rehabilitation Center (now renamed Heilongjiang Women's Labor Camp) in October of 2003. During more than a month of detention in the labor camp, she was ruthlessly beaten up and subjected to tortures, including electric shocks, force-feeding and exposure to extreme cold. In November of 2003, Ms. Liu died on the iron chair in the basement. She did not have pants or socks on when she died. Policemen Li Quanming and Liu Zhujie planned and carried out the torture.
The Heilongjiang Women's Labor Camp is a provincial subordinate labor camp, temporarily formed for brainwashing Falun Gong practitioners. It has the designation of "transformation base." On November 12, 2002, the then-director, Chen Guiqing, explicitly said that any means will be employed in order to "transform" practitioners. "Willing or not, they will be 'transformed.' "
For very determined practitioners, the police deprived them of sleep and forced them to undergo brainwashing until 11p.m. or midnight. They then would continue brainwashing them at 4:00 a.m. Some were even subjected to this mental torture for three months. If they didn't cooperate with their tormentors' unreasonable demands, practitioners would be taken to the stockroom with shelves on both sides and only room for one person to pass. Both of their hands would be shackled on opposite shelves for nine days. Some practitioners refused to recite the labor camp rules. As a result, they were repeatedly forced to stand with both hands behind them, handcuffed to heating pipes. In this position they could neither squat nor stand. There was no room for their head and arms to move, and their arms would soon become numb.
Police officers took the determined practitioners to the basement one by one and brutally tortured them: they handcuffed them to an iron chair, stripped off their coats and made them sit in cold water, stuffed their mouths with a cloth bag and taped it shut and used electric shocks on them. As a result of such torture, practitioners suffered severe injury including disabled legs, their face and all four limbs would become numb, their eyesight failed, their teeth fell out and their feet were badly injured. Practitioner Jiang Rongzhen from Jixi City was tortured to death in November of 2002.
(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Gao Deyan, 41, a Falun Gong practitioner who lived in Beima Town of Longkou City in Shandong Province has been missing as a result of the persecution. Ms. Gao Deyan was originally from Dachen Town. Under the brutal persecution by Jiang's faction, Gao Deyan and her husband, Chen Zhaowu, were forced to become homeless at the end of 2000. In the spring of 2001 they were turned in to the police. A group of police broke into their living quarters and arrested Chen. At that time, Gao Deyan wasn't home. Later, Chen Zhaowu was sentenced to Liubowang Village Labor Camp. Since then, Gao Deyan has been missing.
They had been living in a place they'd rented in Longkouheping Village. They were making a living through hard physical work. Their child was being taking care of by Gao Deyan's sister, Gao Demei, who is also a Falun Gong practitioner. Since Gao Demei was also being persecuted and was detained frequently at that time, she didn't have the ability to investigate Gao Deyan's whereabouts.
At the end of 2001, Longkou City police broke into Gao Demei's home again. Policeman Yu Jiejun identified Gao Deyan's child, and inadvertently said, "Isn't this Gao Deyan's kid? Isn't Gao Deyan dead?"
In October 2004, Gao Demei and Chen Zhaowu went to the house that Gao Deyan and her husband had rented in 2001. They met the person who accidentally found the body of Gao Deyan. The person said, "There was a lot of rain in the summer of 2001, I saw a woman wearing colorful clothing, walking with a bike in her hand. The woman saw three plainclothes police. She dropped the bike and started to run. Three days later, I found her body floating in the water. I reported this to the police. At that time, it was handled by the police captain, Ga Biqiu of the Longkou City Kaifa area police station. The court doctor was also present. He/she collected a sample of Gao Deyan's hair. There were a lot of people watching at that time. Her body was buried a few days later."
After they heard the eyewitness's words, Gao Demei and her family went to see police captain Ge. He wasn't there. The staff on-duty called the Longkou City police station, with no results. The following Monday, Chen Zhaowu, Gao Demei and her husband Xu Xiuhuai went to Longkou City police station to investigate. The police checked the computer and said, "It's not in the records." It seems the case was deleted.
Gao Deyan's husband, Chen Zhaowu, who has declared that the words he spoke and things he did under coercion and brainwashing are null and void, was released from labor camp. He is now working at a little mill close to his home and living with his elderly mother. His child, Chen Ming (a little practitioner, who has contributed 50 yuan to produce truth clarification materials) is still living at Gao Demei's home. He can only go back home to visit on holidays. Chen Zhaowu's elderly mother cannot handle the brutal persecution, so we only give Gao Deyan's sister, Gao Demei's, telephone number and address:

Case 1. Li Donghua, Lecturer at Chengdu Technological University, Disappears in October 2004
Mr. Li Donghua was a lecturer at Chengdu Technological University. He started Falun Dafa practice in 1994. After the Jiang regime began its persecution of Falun Gong on July 20, 1999, he went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong and was arrested. He was fired from his job, and was forced to leave his home to avoid being persecuted. In October 2004, he disappeared, and no one has heard any information about him since.
Case 2. Li Weizhi, Engineer at the Daqing Oil Extraction Research Center Disappeared in December 2000
Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Li Weizhi would be 53 years old this year. He lived on the ninth or tenth floor of Block 7 in Ran District in Daqing City. He worked as an engineer at the Jingxia Factory of the Daqing Oil Extraction Research Center. Since leaving home in December 2000 he has not returned and no information about him is available.
Case 3. Falun Gong Practitioner Yu Chunhua of Caixi Village in Shandong Province Didn't Return After Going to Beijing to Appeal for Falun Gong
Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Yu Chunhua, 50, is a resident in Xiqugezhuang Village of the Xiage Household in Caixi City, Shandong Province. In September 2000 she walked for 19 days to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong. When she reached Beijing, she was forcibly taken back to her hometown by the police and illegally detained for two weeks. She was then released.
After she went home, she departed again for Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong. When she reached the train station, officers from the Guliu Town Police Station in Laiyang City arrested her. The police subjected her to a body search and took the 300 yuan that she had with her. In October, Yu Chunhua was arrested by personnel from the Town Police Station without any explanation. The police attempted to coerce her into giving up her practice of Falun Gong, but she adamantly refused and started to practice the exercises on the spot. Thus, policemen Zhang Chao and Zhang Shu viciously kicked and trampled her legs, feet, arms and other body parts. After she returned home on January 17, 2001, she once again set off on her way to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong. To this day she has not returned, and her whereabouts are unknown. Her husband and two daughters still have misconceptions about and are hostile towards Falun Gong.
(Clearwisdom.net) In 2002, the 610 Office arrested Ms. Zhang Baoying, a practitioner from Jiamusi City, and she was sentenced to five years in prison. Ms. Zhang was first detained at the Jiamusi Detention Center and then transferred to the Heilongjiang Women's Prison in 2003. Her absence took a devastating toll on her 70-year-old mother, Liu Simei, who missed her so much that she became ill and died in deepest sorrow on March 10, 2005.
Due to the Jiang regime's ruthless persecution of Falun Gong, Mrs. Liu Simei had already become distraught with fear for her daughter's safety. In grief over her daughter's sudden and mysterious absence, Ms. Liu's health rapidly deteriorated. In her fragile state, the family members dared not tell her that Ms. Zhang had been imprisoned, but instead said that her daughter could not risk returning home in order to avoid certain detention. The broken-hearted elderly woman never got the opportunity to see her daughter one last time before passing away on the afternoon of March 10.
Ms. Zhang Baoying has been following the principle of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance since she began practicing Falun Dafa. She cultivates herself to be a good person. She had always looked after parents, lived in harmony with her family members, got along well with neighbors and was always very considerate. Tragically, however, the Jiang regime chose to throw such a good person as this into prison. For the past three years, Ms. Zhang has been subjected to every possible means of torture. Even though she is just forty, she appears much older now, thin and weak and with gray hair. Isolated in prison, Ms. Zhang is still unaware that her mother passed away two months ago.
The brutal persecution of the Jiang regime has broken up a happy family and filled each member with grief and sadness. With his wife now gone and his daughter still in prison, Ms. Zhang's elderly father is tearful every day. Despite missing his daughter day and night, he is unable to visit her. As a single father, Ms. Zhang's husband also lives a difficult life, raising their only child by himself. He sincerely hopes that his wife will somehow be able to come home again soon. With cherished memories, their child longs for the return of Mother's care.
(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Chen Xiulan, 85 years old, lived in Huimin County, Shandong Province. She was severely beaten by the police when she went to Beijing to appeal on behalf of Falun Gong. After two years of suffering, she died in 2002.
Ms. Chen started practicing Falun Dafa in 1996 along with her family. They established a group practice site in her home, and practitioners would come to her house to read Zhuan Falun together every evening. Sometimes practitioners shared their cultivation experiences, and the atmosphere was very peaceful and harmonious. Ms. Chen could not read, but she always listened carefully. Even though she was in her 80's, she enjoyed good health because she cultivated Falun Dafa. She had a pinkish complexion and could help with household chores.
On July 20, 1999, the persecution began, swept over the entire nation, and destroyed the peaceful cultivation environment. In the winter of 1999, Ms. Chen went to Beijing with her daughter to appeal for Falun Gong. When they were meditating at Tiananmen Square, a policeman kicked her hips twice very hard. Her daughter shouted, "Don't beat the elderly!" They were arrested and taken to the Shandong Province Liaison Office in Beijing and later sent back to the local government office. Ms. Chen was released due to her advanced age. Her daughter was brutally beaten and detained for a long time.
Ms. Chen was so traumatized by her Beijing trip that she did not speak a single word after returning home. The violent beatings were obviously a nightmare to her. One day she fell on the floor while trying to get out of bed and broke both of her hips. She never got up after that. The doctor said there was no hope for recovery due to her age.
Ms. Chen was paralyzed and bedridden. Her son-in-law and niece took care of her. She could not turn over on her own and suffered from bedsores. She also missed her detained daughter and worried about her.
After two years of pain and misery, Ms. Chen died at age 85 in June 2002.
(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Jiang Jieyu from the 3rd Team of the Xinming Commune in Pi County, Sichuan Province, went to Beijing twice to peacefully appeal for Falun Gong and was persecuted many times. When she was incarcerated in the Zizhong County Nanmusi Women's Forced Labor Camp, she was not sent home until she had been tortured to the brink of death and had lost consciousness. She died in late 2003.
Ms. Jiang Jieyu, 50 years old, was a villager in the Xinming Commune in Pi County, Chengdu City. She had many illnesses before she learned Falun Gong, including serious anemia. She became healthy soon after she started the practice in 1998. On February 24, 2000, she went to Beijing to clarify the truth about Falun Dafa, but was detained and sent to the Pi County Brainwashing Center. She protested with a hunger strike and broke out of the brainwashing center with the power of her righteous thoughts. In February 2001 she was arrested and taken to the town government. She was forced to pay 5,000 yuan on February 17 and was again sent to the Pi County Brainwashing Center for further persecution. The authorities did not release her until they had extorted another 2,000 yuan.
In November 2001, Ms. Jiang went to Beijing for the second time to validate Dafa. She was again arrested and sent to one year of forced labor. She suffered various brutal tortures in the Zizhong County Nanmusi Women's Forced Labor Camp, including injections that damage the central nervous system. The authorities did not send her home until she had been tortured to brink of death and was unconscious. She died in late 2003.

On the afternoon of March 14, 2005, the police from the Zhifu District, Yantan City broke into a compound in Beizao Village, and forcibly took a female Falun Gong practitioner (who is over 50 years old) away from her rental apartment. The woman's whereabouts are currently unknown.

On April 5, 2005, Ms. Hu Chengfang was arrested while distributing truth clarification material. She is now detained in the Chaoyang Detention Center in Beijing. 3. [Haicheng City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Liu Guili was Arrested
According to reliable information, the local police arrested Ms. Liu Guili of Haicheng City when she was distributing truth clarification material in Huanghuadian Town, Xiuyan County. Her whereabouts are currently unknown.
4. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Xu Lijie was Arrested
Officers from the Chaoyang Police Sub-department, Changchun City arrested Ms. Xu Lijie of Changchun City. The police also confiscated her laptop.
5. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Li Shaode and Other Practitioners were Arrested
On the evening of April 7, 2005 when two female practitioners from Weifang City were clarifying the truth in western Weifang City, one was arrested by a plain-clothes police officer while the other one managed to escape. The whereabouts of the arrested practitioner are unknown.
On April 8, 2005, Li Shaode from Weifang City was arrested at home.
Mr. Chen Shubin's family members were informed that he was detained at the Weifang District Detention Center only after he had been in custody for more than 10 days.
6. [Dandong City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Runxiang Jailed in the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp
Ms. Wang Runxiang, who lived in the No.2 Community of the Taotie Area, Zhenxin District, Dandong City, was taken from her home and forced into a police vehicle in mid-march 2005. At the time there was no one else at home. It has now been confirmed that Ms. Wang is imprisoned in the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp.
7. [Shanghai] Nine Practitioners including Ms. Xu Jianying of the Pudong New Area were Arrested
On April 5, 2005, police from the Shanghai Pudong New Area utilized the local Fire Department to surround a residential apartment building. They arrested nine people, including Ms. Xu Jiangying. At this time the police still have not informed her family members of her whereabouts .
8. [Tianjing] A Couple, Mr. Zheng Yongfeng and Ms. Zheng Junlan, were Arrested
On April 14, 2005, officers from the Xianshuigu Town Police Station arrested Mr. Zheng Yongfeng and Ms. Zheng Junlan, a couple from Xianshuigu Township, Tianjing at their home.
9. [Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province] Mr. Shi Yongsheng, Who is Over 70 Years Old was Arrested
Mr. Shi Yongsheng, who is over 70 years old, lived in Hongqigan Village, Dashilingzi Township, Qinglong County, Qinhuangdao City. On April 7, 2005, officers from the Huangcheng County Police Department arrested him while he was clarifying the truth on his way to his brother's home. He is currently being held in the Kuancheng County Detention Center where he is suffering torture.
On April 8, police officers from both Qinglong County and Kuancheng County, together with Dashizilingzi Village Officials broke into and ransacked Mr. Shi's home, and confiscated his Falun Gong books. On April 13, police from both Qinglong County and Kuancheng County again broke into his home, searched everywhere, and video recorded his home. They were trying to fabricate evidence to frame him.
10. [Suileng County, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Wu was Arrested
In mid-March 2005, it was reported to the police that Mr. Wu of Suileng County, Heilongjiang Province was clarifying the truth at the No. 11 Production Team, Hongguang Farm, Heilongjiang Province. Officers from the Hongguang Farm Police Department arrested him and detained him at the Suileng Nongken Police Department.

11. [Shenzhou City, Hebei Province] Practitioner Mr. Xie Shumiao was Arrested
On April 11, 2005, Mr. Xie Shumiao went shopping at a local Business Center. He clarified the truth to Zhang Niu, the Manager of the Yusong Photo Gallery at the Business Center, and gave Zhang's wife the book Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party. However, after Mr. Xie left, this man immediately reported him to the police . Mr. Xie was then detained in the city's Detention Center. Prior to this, Mr. Xie had twice been arrested and was forced into the Detention Center and brainwashing sessions.

12. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Zhu Yuxiang Arrested and on a Hunger Strike
On April 7, 2005, police officers Yu Bin and Shi Wenge from the Zhonggong Police Station arrested Mr. Zhu Yuxang from Tiexi of Shenyang City. He was sent to the Shenxin Forced Labor Camp, Yuhong District, Shenyang City. At the time of this writing he has been on a hunger strike for nine days, and his life is in danger. He also went on a hunger strike when officers from the Zhonggong Police Station arrested him in December 2004. He later left the Police Station with righteous thoughts.
13. [Xinzhou, Shanxi] Dr. Li Guilan and Other Practitioners were Arrested
On March 23, 2005, Wang Limin, Deputy Director of the Politics and Security Section, Xinzhou Police Station, Xinzhou City, Shanxi Province, together with others, arrested five practitioners and ransacked nine homes. On March 24, they secretly moved Dr. Li Guilan (a doctor at the city's Chinese Medical Hospital) and Ms. Yang Mudan (who lived in the city's Glass Factory Apartment) to Wutai; the rest of the practitioners escaped and have now become homeless in order to avoid recapture.
14. [Wucheng County, Shandong Province] Mr. Zhao Zhihai was Arrested
The day before the Chinese Qingming Festival (April 4, also called Tomb Sweep Day) 2005, at around 10:00 a.m., police officers Zhang Ruijun, Xu Bingxin, Liu Haifeng, and others from the Wucheng County Police Department, broke in Mr. Zhao Zhihai's home and arrested him.

Facts of the Persecution
1. [Chongqing] Practitioner Mr. Cao Xianlu Disabled Due to Torture
Mr. Cao Xianlu is a Falun Dafa practitioner living in Bishan County, Chongqing City. He was arrested by police officers from Daxing Substation six months ago and is detained in Bishan County Detention Center. He is unable to walk because he became disabled due to severe torture. Another practitioner, Ms. Wan Chuanling, was passing out truth clarifying material in Shizi Town, Bishan County, six months ago. She was arrested after being reported. She is also in Bishan County Detention Center. Other practitioners who are detained or serving prison terms are: Ms. Jian Ping, Mr. Hong Wei, Su Bin (gender unknown), Ms. Zhu Huaqin, Mr. Wang Jingxiu, Mr. Liu Xinghui, Ms. Wan Chuanyu, Ms. Yang Qin, Ms. Yu Jisu, Mr. Liu Xiangtai, Yan (gender unknown), Ms. Deng Shibi, and Mr. Cao Xianlu's son. The longest prison term among them is eighteen years.

2. [Gaocun Township Substation, Yi County, Hebei Province] Persecution Crimes Committed by the Police
Police officers from Gaocun Township Substation, Yi County, Hebei Province, have often harassed practitioners over the past five years. They collaborated with state security agents from the county police department to ransack the homes of practitioners and arrest them. At the end of July 1999, Gaocun Township Police Substation Director Li (male) and Officer Li Ming (male) ransacked practitioner Mr. Zhuo Guibin's home. In August 2000, Director Li and Officer Li Ming ransacked practitioner Mr. Zhai Quan's home in Xishi Village. They arrested Mr. Zhai Quan and detained him for 15 days in Yi County Detention Center. They forced Mr. Zhai to write a guarantee statement and extorted money from him. On the evening of February 17, 2003, Director Li, Officer Li Ming, and State Security Agent Xu Shuzhen (female) from the County Station went to practitioner Mr. Zhuo Guibin's home. They failed to arrest Mr. Zhuo. Early in the morning on March 6, 2003, police officers stormed into several houses to search for Mr. Zhuo. On March 7, 2003, CCP Deputy Secretary of Yi County Zhang Shulin (male) forced many government officials and police officers to go to Tiananmen Square in Beijing to search for two days. At 7 p.m. on June 3, 2003, Officer Li Ming, Yi County State Security Agent Tian (gender unknown), Officer Li (gender unknown) and Village CCP Secretary Zhuo Wanhe arrested Mr. Zhuo Guibin at his job at a middle school dining hall. They detained him in Yi County Detention Center and sent him to three years of forced labor.

3. [Tangshan City] Persecution Crimes Committed by Fengrun District State Security Division Head Dong Fucun
Over the past five years, the Fengrun District State Security Division in Tangshan City, Hebei Province, has actively joined in the persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners. The Division Head, Dong Fucun (male), is in his forties. He personally oversees the forced entry and ransacking of practitioners' homes during the nights, arrests and sends them to forced labor camps or prisons, extorts money from them, and mistreats their family members. In 2003, Dong Fucun led a group of villains to break down the security gate of practitioner Mr. Sun Jianzhong's home. They took Mr. Sun away, detained him in the Tangshan City Detention Center, and sentenced him to seven years in prison. In July 2004, State Security Officer Zeng Xianghai arrested practitioner Mr. Wang Zhiling, a resident of Guochiying Village in the Fengrun District, from his workplace and ransacked his home. Mr. Wang and his wife resisted this treatment, and they were released that same night. Five days later, state security officers again arrested Mr. Wang at work. They tortured him with the iron chair inside the State Security Office and sent him to serve three years of forced labor. Mr. Wang Zhiling is now imprisoned in the Hehuakeng Labor Camp in Tangshan City. In December 2004, Dong Fucun lead a group of officers to break into Mr. Wang Zhiling's home. They arrested Mr. Wang's wife, Zhang Hongwei, and sent her to three years of forced labor in Kaiping Labor Camp in Tangshan City. In December 2004, Dong Fucun ordered his officers to ransack practitioner Ms. Hao Shuping's home twice. At the end of 2004, state security officers abducted practitioner Mr. Wang Zequ from Zhongshu Village in the Fengrun District. They ransacked his home, tortured him, and sent him to two years of forced labor in the Hehuakeng Labor Camp in Tangshan City.

4. [Lutou Town, Longkou City, Shandong Province] Practitioner Mr. Tang Zhuqiang Is Arrested Again
Mr. Tang Zhuqiang, 37 years old, is a resident of Gushantangjia Village, Lutou Town, Longkou City, Shandong Province. He has been arrested and detained for going to Beijing to appeal. His home has been ransacked five times. When the 610 Office held the first local brainwashing session, four to five villains brought him from his home. He was forced to become destitute and homeless for five years in order to avoid being arrested. When he returned home at 9 p.m. on the evening of March 29, 2005, the police who were waiting there arrested him. He is detained in Zhangjiagou Prison, where he went on a hunger strike for four days. The police guards do not allow any visitors to see him.
