Canadian Falun Gong Practitioner Asks Australian Government to Seriously Reconsider its Decision to Deport Mr and Mrs Wang March 13, 2003 Dear Sir or Madam; I am writing you this letter today to ask you to seriously reconsider the
decision made to deport Mr. and Mrs. Wang back to Mainland China later today.
I am not familiar with Australian Law, as I am a Canadian citizen. However, I
do know that to send this elderly couple back to a country where they most
certainly will be arrested and persecuted because of their beliefs is morally
and ethically wrong. This is also emphasized by the fact that members of their
family have already suffered at the hands of the Jiang regimes' attitude towards
Falun Gong. As I am sure you are aware, the persecution of Falun Gong has been documented
by third party sources. Also, there are massive amounts of documentation stating
the true nature of what Falun Gong is, as well as over 100 million people who
practice freely around the world, all of whom are readily available to answer
any questions you might have about the peaceful practice. The information is out there. I only hope that you can take a moment to take
a close look at the Wang's case, who they are, and what will happen to them if
they are sent back. Thank you, Posting date: 3/17/2003 |
